Does not like using 4 sticks of RAM
Had this since September and finally gave up trying to get this thing to run 4 sticks of 16gb 6000mhz ddr5 expo. I can use 2 sticks at those speeds but once I use 4 it will only allow 5600. Really disappointed in Gigabyte and AMD. Next build will be Intel for sure.

First time using AMD
I’m pretty amazed the speed of this processor, I mean it’s fast, my primary use it’s for gaming and I can say it performs pretty quick. And for the price you can say it’s the very bang for the buck.Keep improving amd going to build another one and I’m pretty satisfied with amd so far.

Great CPU if you’re considering upgrading to AM5
For the price, this CPU gives incredible performance, however make sure to have a strong CPU cooler to bring the best performance, as it will raise temps to squeeze every bit of performance it can. Under-volting this CPU for lower temps is also a great option, as that’s what I’m currently doing with mine, with a curve optimizer.

Fantastic for 1440P and 4K gaming
I got this to pair up with a 7900 XTX for 4K gaming. This is a fantastic CPU, however there are a few things to know. I did pair this with 6000 CL36 RAM and a MSI B650 Tomahawk board. It ran EXPO with no issues, however the processor was running at a higher clock than factory and was causing some stability issues. To fix this issue I ran the CPU at a negative .15 offset. This brought stability to the system and also increased performance in games and in cinabench R23. Also to note this is a chip that runs hot, but that it is designed to run hot by AMD. To keep it cool I ran a EK 360 AIO and set the package temperature limit to 85 degrees. Even with the negative .15 offset and 85 degrees limit this chip benchmarked higher that most review I have seen for the 7600X. I did attempt a undervolt with PBO and it would not accept any, however with the setting I have previously mentioned this chip ran cool with awesome performance, still exceeding the factory 5.3 boost speeds. After settings were in place it was running games at 50-60c, with no bottlenecks on the 79000XTX at 1440p or 4K. Overall I am very pleased with my choice to get the 7600X as I only use it for gaming and no productivity. For anyone that is wanting a fast gaming CPU, this one will accomplish that at a very good price!

Nearly the Same Performance as the 7700X but for Less
I have absolutely zero complaints about this processor. I originally had a 7700X, but I decided to sell it and get the 7600X in its place- that was a perfect decision. The 7600X is an absolute powerhouse. While you do lose a couple of cores, and may lose some productivity performance in terms of video editing and graphic design, there is barely a difference when it comes to games. In the games I tested, such as Cyberpunk, GTA V, RDR2, and Borderlands 3, I averaged only about a 2-4 FPS difference compared to when I was using the 7700X. It also helps extensively with cooling, as this only has a TDP of 65W at its best efficiency compared to the 7700X’s 105W. However, despite the lower TDP, the 7600X can still get fairly hot, as I still found that my AIO wouldn’t stop it from still reaching the lower 80’s in more demanding titles. One major thing to note about the 7600X (or all AM5 processors in general) is that due to the new heat spreader design, you will need to make sure that you use a compatible cooler that uses a mounting system that will still apply adequate pressure, and also to be careful if you ever need to remove the CPU as it is harder to grip it by the sides. It’s also very easy for thermal paste to fall into the grooves of the new IHS, but this won’t be an issue as long as you steer clear of metal-based thermal solutions (unless you know what you’re doing.)Overall, the Ryzen 5 7600X is the best value bargain deal in terms of ALL CPUs on the market right now- regardless if you prefer AMD or Intel. There is simply no CPU with as much performance, versatility, and general range of use in terms of its cost. Additionally, the periodic sales make it even more of a value deal, and I would definitely suggest getting the 7600X over all the other options if all you primarily do is streaming, gaming, or general use. I highly recommend it!

Much better than my previous CPU
It’s a powerful processor. 20x times better than the Ryzen 3600 I had, but just to give some details about how good it is :I can now Render things in blender in less than a minute, with the Ryzen 3600 it would take me over 10 minutes depending on the workload. Same with Unity, uploading things/rendering them or even unpacking them would feel like it was ages. With this processor it feels like it takes seconds, while in reality it takes a minute or so depending on how heavy the unity package is.As for gaming, and/or multi-tasking,I do not play Fortnite that much at all, however I do know it is a CPU intensive game. I played it with the 3600 and dear lord my frames kept on dying at times, going from locked 60 to who knows what. With this new CPU it did not only stop dying, but I got a frame boost, from a 60 frame cap, I am now able to run the game at 144 frames, with a GPU bottleneck. At 144 frames, the CPU goes up to 40% and 80% at times but for not very long.Yes, I run chrome, Spotify, discord in between others at times. It does not give my CPU any issues to run these while gaming.

As per reviews I’ve seen on YT and such, these certainly do run hot. Mine will hit 95* easily and stay there under stress. But without a hiccup, and AMD says that’s within tolerance. Great performing CPU!

Monster of a processor!
It performs like an absolute beast and can easily produce up to 500fps in Fortnite and 1700fps in Minecraft, paired with an RTX 3070 at 1080p. Although the packaging kind of sucked, just the box the CPU came in, loose inside a bigger Amazon box

It’s a bit spicy
Great value entry point to the AM5 platform. It was $10 cheaper than the non-X model. No fan included, which is fine because I went elsewhere for that in ITX case.I ended up undervolting it after seeing it hit 84c in Cyberpunk 2077. After that simple config switch it dropped almost 20 degrees! WIth no drops in FPS. Or at least not noticeable.

Be cautious ordering parts from this seller
the chip itself gets a 5/5 however this is absolutely unacceptable. The box this was shipped in was untouched so i was happy but then i opened the package to see this. This is not how you want to see a pc part packaged..

Solid performance
This chip has done amazing; I paired it with a 4090 and have had absolutely no stability or bottlenecking issues from the cpu. I haven’t found a game I can’t run at full capacity. Paired with a liquid cooler I have also not run into a single heating issue. The chip hasn’t gone above 40 degrees celcius. Naturally be careful because it is a gen 5 chip so if you don’t have a motherboard that supports that you won’t be able to use the chip. All things aside it is amazing for the price

Just what I needed.
This CPU is amazing. With my old system having an i7 6700, this was a MUCH needed boost to performance. The CPU can get hot with air cooling, so when getting it, I strongly suggest water cooling aswell. Though the CPU can get up to 95°, having water cooling will keep it under 60° at full load.P.S. some people complain about boot times. Just make sure you have a fast m.2 nvme ssd aswell which is what I think their issue was.

95C target is great for fan-tuning!
I was initially worried about the 95C temperature targeting making my system too noisy, but that’s because I was used to the old way to tune fans. It used to be you had to stress-test your CPU and then clumsily tweak your fan curve to keep it cool while often getting really loud. The new behavior essentially allows you to set the exact maximum fan speed you want since you know the CPU won’t go above that 95C maximum temperature.

For 250$ it’s fine, otherwise competition should be preferred
It has a good clock boost and generally stays cool while gaming.Motherboards POST times are long – 37.5 seconds.Should be paired with low-latency memory DDR5 6000MHz 30-36-36-76 and you can overclock to 6200MHZ with same timings wth ease for 62.5ns latency. But don’t pay an arm and a leg for it. I now saw kits selling for $189.99.If you need more cores, I guess you should go with Intel for the extra multithread performance they give. But if you don’t care about it, and want the upgrade option, then this is a viable option.

On paper seems like a good place to start.
Let me start off by saying I put together my am5 build for my son’s computer. I couldn’t decide between 13th gen Intel or this at the 300 price point. Honestly the Intel is a better performing processor and more versatile BUT eats much more power. This is the right entry point for AM5.After install I got it rolling for a day and then had a hard crash in a game. From then on the mobo wouldn’t boot with more than 1 stick of ram. Troubleshoot this at length between the mobo, ram, and finally the processor. Well saving you a long story it’s the processor. Got a replacement and works perfectly. Looks like it had a defective memory controller onboard. It games close to it’s big brothers but saves a bit of money. Your money will be better spent reinvested in 3d cache chip later in the next couple of years. For now precision boost overdrive when enabled on your board will squeeze out extra performance out of this processor and keep it competitive while lower wattage usage. So far I’m pretty impressed. Certainly if you want to do more than game I’d start with the 7700x for the extra cores.Overall it’s a great processor but not without some possible design flaws. To be on the safe side be sure not to over apply thermal paste due to the new raised lid on AM5 and do not over tighten any clips for the cooling solution out of fear for compressing the new kid on AM5.

Having problems w my pc since the beginning…
Having issues with my pc since the start. Just turned on and everything seems fine, after installing all the drivers, and try to play some games. My pc starts crashing the whole time, first runned a windows memory diagnostic and found out something seems wrong w the ram, return and exchanged for another pair, and the system still malfunctioning, crashing, blue screen, not stable w any easy task. Try to see the Voltage, and see what is wrong w this unstable nightmare, find out the cpu is not even able to handle any other number than 5 w the curve in bios and not even that, after 10 to 15 mins everything crash again… I am really pissed off, I do not think it is fair for me work monday to friday, get the money to buy some good quality pc, and find out after many hours of troubleshooting that the only way my pc is able to work properly (with out being able to undervolt and get some nice temps and perfor) was setting CPU Boost Clock OV Enable (Negative) w MAX CPU boost clock Override (-) 200.I have been strugling w this pc for 3 weeks and just realize the cpu is defective… otherwise I am not supposed to be troubleshooting for many many hours, and CPU should be working FINE AT DEFAULT SETTINGS…PD: Because I am living outside the US and the time it took for me to get to this point, I will not be able to return it and get me money back… I had to work for another 2 weeks to get the same CPU local for 300$ THANKS…

Good bang for your buck for newer Ryzen 7000 series processors
This CPU works out great while waiting for the top Ryzen CPUS to come down in price. That might take some time but this CPU is really good. It is easy to install. Ryzen processors are designed to run hot. It’s by design. If that bothers you, just under clock/under volt it to keep it cooler. Use the curve settings in your MB bios.

Good but slow to boot.
Between the b650 mobo, ddr5 ram, and 7600 Ryzen CPU, it boots slow. I didn’t expect a 30 seconds boot time from a $1,500 setup.First time took longer, I honestly thought my setup was a dead as monitors had no input for what seemed like an eternity. For comparison, my 6 year old intel PC boots in about 10 seconds. Unfortunately my intel CPU isn’t supported by windows 11. So here I am learning the cons of the competitors.

Good CPU for price, care it the seller doesnt sell it with the free game coupons AMD gives away
The CPU arrived fine, although shipping took a little longer. Also, the main reason I got this CPU besides the noticeable upgrade was to get a free copy of Starfield. So AMD gives away free Starfield digital copies by purchasing this type of CPU (and other CPUs and GPUs). But since this was a third-party seller it did not include it. When I contacted the seller about it they replied to contact AMD support and said “All sales are final”. Why, of course, all sales are final, very convenient…In any case, AMD support does not issue the digital copy, it has to be the seller. They probably keep these and sell them elsewhere. So yea, great CPU, beware of this third party seller.

A hot boi
This is a very fast cpu especially when you are coming from a ryzen 5 2600! The only issue I have had is the heat. I have never owned anything that gets as hot as this could. I bought a bequiet dark rock pro 4 for this cpu and it can barely tame it. It idles at ~50 °c and under load 85-90 °c.Overall, I love this cpu and I am happy with my purchase. If you are buying this, buy a very big heatsink or aio.

Blazing fast
Easily handles my intense gaming sessions with no lag or skipping. Using an aftermarket aircooler I’m able to keep temps in the 45-55ºC zone under gaming loads, but this chip is rated for a long life around 90ºC (sooo hot!). Handles everything I’ve thrown at it so far.

Good upgrade to AM5
This cpu is a beast. Any compute related tasks are handled with ease…provided you have got a good come for it.AMD rates it for 105 TDP. However the peak power draw in multicore cinebench was roughly 120. So try to find something beefy to handle it. I gave the noctua nh-u12 (whichever one has 6 heat pipes and 2 fans and it handled it with ease. The upgrade was rather expensive. Cpu, x670, ddr5 (and for me because my psu couldn’t handle the load, I needed an upgraded psu) it was about a 900 don’t upgrade, but I find that it was worth it.I play at 1440p with my aging 5700xt and generally get 75-80fps with a nice gaming experience on high settings with some settings adjusted down. Occasionally I used fsr or other and techs and get over 120fps

Runs hot and mine was bad
I only got to use it for a few days on setup before my new build threw me into a blue screen that ended up being the CPU that was bad. I swapped it for a non X 7600 as with the boost performance they are very similar but the non X uses less power and will run cooler because of it.That being said it can be a great CPU it seems, and the price difference between the non X and X is small enough that if you manage the temps there is no reason to not pick the X.

Really good price to performance and good AM5 entry level CPU
Upgraded from a i7 8700, and it was a much needed performance improvement. It does run quite a bit hotter than some older CPUs, but DONT BE ALARMED! The 7000 series are all built to operate at 95 degrees C, so anything under that is perfectly fine and normal. Regardless, the only time those temps were even approached was with a run of cinebench r23, so you’ll never reach temps that high during gaming or regular use.Overall, very good price for very good performance. Generally seems to be the bees knees for the futureproofing conscious.
