About this item [High-Transmission Optical Lens] The 400mm focal length and big objective lens, as well as the multi-fully high transmission coated all-optical lens, improve image brightness and clarity. The 80mm objective diameter provides a broad field of view and comfortable viewing. Excellent moon telescope for children, adults, and astronomy novices. [3X Magnification] This adult telescope employs 1.25″ high power interchangeable eyepieces with the newest generation of Kellner eyepieces (K9mm,K25mm), and a 3X Barlow lens to improve magnification three times. To avoid damage, the eyepieces and Barlow lens are stored separately in a tiny accessory bag. A metal moon filter helps shield your eyes from glare. [Erect Images and Comprehensive Viewing Angle] Because of the 128°Erect-image diagonal prism and the 5X20 Erect-image finder scope, our telescopes produce Erect pictures. The 128°diagonal prism can rotate 360°. Erect pictures and a wide viewing angle provide more comfortable and liberated observation than other inverted diagonals. The telescope phone adapter with 10X eyepiece allows for easy installation and video or picture capture. [Optimum Viewing Position] For varied viewing locations, an aluminum tripod may be adjusted by 180 degrees in the vertical direction and 360 degrees in the horizontal direction. The novice telescope’s height may be adjusted to 120cm. The stargazing telescope for youngsters comes with a backpack that makes it easy to transport. [Package Inclusions]- 1 x telescopios astronomic, 1 x K25mm eyepiece, 1 x K9mm eyepiece, 1 x 3X Barlow lens, 1 x Protective Cover, 1 x Adjustable tripod (Tray included), 1 x Finder scope, 1 X Phone adapter with 10X eyepiece. You need not use it along with K9/25mm because the phone adapter has 10X eyepiece itself, 1 x Star target planisphere (PVC), 1 x Metal moon filter, 1 x Backpack, 1 x Accessory backpack, 1 x Cleaning cloth, 1 x User manual.

Great for starters!!!
Ok, so I am very new to stargazing and astronomy in general. I read a lot (on and off Amazon) and found that this one was liked by a lot of people as a starter scope. One of the main reasons I settled for this one is that it was a total package. Many articles and videos state that there are a few accessories that you really should get, but they are all included in this package! (Constellation Chart, different strength eye-pieces, Moon filter and more). Even a carry case is included.I have not had too many chances to use this yet, but the first couple times it was very easy to set up and use. Prior to it arriving, I was sent a message from the seller with information and documentation and it was REALLY nice and VERY helpful. The follow-through is something that does not happen much, but it was really nice to see!Great scope and company!

Cheap… update
Very cheap. The tri pod legs were stripped right out of the box. The instructions are poor English. The spotting scope is just as bad and very hard to sight in. The eye pieces are okay but not the clearest. Works for a cheap scope but don’t expect a whole lotUpdate! The customer service team is second to none. I returned it and got a refund. They still reached out to me and are sending me another scope on them. Very pleased with the customer service.

Good for the price
Great for starters. It’s very easy to move around and transport. Comes with a few different attachments. As other reviews say, the tripod does indeed feel a bit cheap and wobbly, but it definitely gets the job done.

My son loves it! And it’s amazing!
I don’t personally know much about it but my son has been spending the last few nights outside and showed me the pictures he was able to get from this telescope! There’s not much information on how to use it but he found videos online and he’s pretty good with it now. I couldn’t believe how many stars are in the sky! Incredible!! It’s like unbelievable how many little bright dots came from the pictures he took! I definitely recommend this telescope for beginners and maybe more advanced ones. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cheap plastic
This thing is cheap and extremely difficult to assemble. Has small black and white pictures that don’t give any reference where the parts go. Tell you to use part by name but there is no name list. Very disappointed

Not easy to use
Pedestal was flimsy and too short to stand and use instructions too vague and not sure what their idea if a good telescope is . Won’t buy it again. I have disassemble it to put it on a better and taller pedestal. Barely use it because it jumps a lot.

Great telescope for the price!
Great product, works perfectly! The phone holder doesn’t work with my iPhone, the camera isn’t centered with the eyepiece…not sure any phone would work. But who cares, I didn’t buy the telescope to watch an image on my phone. I think there is a piece included that I really have no idea what it’s for because the instructions don’t have it listed. I didn’t adjust the screwdriver far enough initially and the telescope tipped when I was looking through it…but after I tightened the telescope didn’t drift and it stayed steady for the image. I kind of wish the telescope had longer legs, because I had it zoomed on the moon, which was high in the sky and I practically had to squat to look through the eye piece. Entertaining anyways. If anyone has trouble focusing, they probably are turning the knob far enough. For beginners it’s easier to focus on the moon at first, before looking for smaller objects.

Feels like a toy- looks like a toy
Purchased as a gift but description says for kids AND adults so I figured it was a quality telescope that was easy to use. When it arrived it felt cheap. Yes, it was one of the lower-priced telescopes, but I did not expect it to seem like more of a toy than something that would last for a bit. Did not gift it or use it since those things were not worth investigating. Purchased a better, slightly more expensive, scope and felt much better about that than this. If you want an expensive toy for a kid, it is probably fine. If you want more, this might not be what you are looking for. Again, I did not try to use it.

Good telescope for the money
It is a good telescope for the money. Good for beginners, easy to assemble and use. The only complaints I have are that it is harder to lock it into the spot you want than it should be (it tends to move just a little when you tighten the clamps to lock it in place, and it only takes a little movement to make a big difference) and that it doesn’t come with any sky watching instructions, like the best way to use the lenses and filters for particular objects. The instructions are only for putting the telescope together. It would have been nice for it to come with some kind of sky watching guide. All in all, it is a good buy for the money and would please anyone looking to start basic sky watching.

Definately a beginner telescope, perfect for Girl Scout Science Explorer badge
So, the description says for beginners so I didn’t expect much. My child loves the Discovery brand kids telescope that has built in pictures and wanted a “real” telescope. We aren’t sure if there’s a way to make the images right side up, but when looking at the moon and stars as a beginner it’s not as big of a deal. I do wish the tri-pod it sat on was bigger, you have to have this on a table. Overall, I’d buy this when it goes on sale. I’m not sure what else you can get in this price range as a beginner, but it was worth it to not spend a ton of money on something I’m not sure we’ll be using more than 10-15 times per year. We’re using it for a Girl Scout Badge.

If your an adult and this will be used by you, keep shopping
I knew I shouldn’t have got a telescope that said “ for kids and adults” it’s mainly for little kids. The instructions are written by a caveman and the image I got of the moon was good but confusing when I moved the telescope to look at a star and still saw the image of the moon?? Idk but you get what you paid for is what most would say but I wouldn’t say that here. The diagonal lens makes you stand in a messed up position to look at anything I had to set the tripod on a card table so I would have to lay on the floor to look through it just so I could adjust it properly. Very hard on a tall person. Plus it didn’t come with a mount for your cell phone. I should have spent the extra 50 to buy one that didn’t say “for kids and adults” lesson learned don’t do what I did!

No instructions
As advertised, this is an entry level telescope. Everything you need is in the box but the instructions are useless. The instructions give you a rudimentary idea on how to put it together but don’t explain what to do with the different lenses or the cell phone adapter.

Great product put together nicely! Nice and sturdy we tried to take it outside to look at some planets and the moon but it was to cold. From the inside my son did look at some trees up close and it worked really good. We will try for the moon and planets during the summer.

esslnb telescope, great purchase!
Easy assembly, be aware that if you are not experienced with a telescope and things don’t look right in the beginning, it’s the user and not the telescope that’s the problem on most occasions. Yesterday I took my first ever picture of the moon using this telescope and I loved it! Was it perfect? no. But hey, it’s traveling at 3000 miles per hour so I did get a decent picture. I really enjoy the erect view through the finder scope and the telescope. Best Christmas present I’ve gotten in years! It will be going on every camping trip for years to come!

*Update* Was missing some stuff. Seller fixed it!
We got the 36070 for my sons first telescope, I’m a little disappointed to find out that it did not come with a cell phone mount or moon filter as indicated in the listing and the tripod does not extend out like the pictures. It was easy to assemble, I’ll update when we use it but I’m sad that It wasn’t as listed.**Update 1/6/2020 the seller sent me a new scope with everything included!** Thank you for the support with no questions asked. Cant wait to try the phone mount and adjustable tripod. I’ve changed my review to reflect this.

Universal phone adapter
The lens are great but one main reason for buying this telescope was the universal phone adapter for taking photos and videos. It’s not in the box but written about all over the place. This telescope is said to be for kids, beginners and also adults.I am an adult 68 years old now and have been using telescopes for years and years. Like I said it has good lenses and I don’t see where it is stating that only kid or adult telescopes come with a universal phone adapter which I really want.

Nice for the price.
I purchased this for my son’s 13th birthday. I did enough research to know that I needed a bigger aperture for him to be able to see more things. He has shown a real consistency for stargazing, and I didn’t want to go too inexpensive and discouraged or frustrate him. This seems to be a great compromise, he loves it, is so excited, and has taken very good care of it. I didn’t break the bank and if he should lose interest I won’t feel as if I have wasted my money.

Great purchase!
I have a 10 year old step son, a 4.5 year old son and a 1.5 year old daughter. We all enjoyed this last night! The feature to connect your phone camera to see the image is perfect for the younger kids. My 4.5 year old of course wanted to look through the lens and claims he could see what we described but the phone feature verified that all kids were involved. This was amazing for stargazing in our backyard but we plan to take it on an upcoming camping trip this fall with less light pollution. I shopped around and debating between several models. I’m happy I chose this one! Great buy! Perfect for family bonding and learning.

5-star customer service
Update: As I said before, the customer service was very good. Janis worked with me and helped me find a scope that was more to my liking. She is pleasant to work with and I wish more customer services reps were like she is._____I was attracted by the barlow lens, the steel tripod, the upright view and the suction phone pad. All nice features but they don’t amount to much if you can’t figure out how to use them. For that you need an intelligible instruction manual, and what I got was rife with broken English and even red lines through some phrases. The scope hood and cover were detached and there was no indication in the manual that it would come packaged this way or how to attach it. There’s also no indication in the Amazon description or the manual that the red dot spotter requires a battery. Nor does it indicate how to get the plastic from between the battery and the holder. There were other issues too numerous to mention. These things may be expected by a more experienced user, but I don’t recommend it for a beginner.I will say that the customer support team was very good at responding; I just didn’t feel that their responses were very helpful. Every time I got a response it ended with them letting me know that I could return the product, so after the third time I did.

A toy
It is flimsy and every touch moves it away from the target. You can see the moon but that is about it. The phone attachment is useless as phone these days has 3-5 lenses and loses focus. I could not use the Barlow lens even after many attempts. My son liked the idea of having a telescope to look at the moon but that’s it.

For beginner telescope to learn its pretty good
I bought this for my daughter as she likes to look at the stars at night then again what kid doesn’t I like how easy it was to set up she’s able to set it up by herself takes a little bit to find the right aperture to dial into the stars, but once you do it’s pretty easy to follow. I really like the fact that we can put our smartphone up to it and record or take pictures of the Moon on a clear night. The only negative side for what this is is the front lens cap keeps falling off because of the weight which is not really a big issue because when you put it in the bag it stays put but when it’s standing up it’s kind of a hassle when you’re waiting but she really enjoys it and I like watching the video she makes of the night sky

Great Scope and Excellent Customer Service.
The only issue I have with this scope is not the scope itself but the lack of instructions for adjusting the finder scope. After posting my question of how to adjust it I finally figured it out. There are two little nobs on the finder scope of which both were tight so I couldn’t figure out what they were for. After playing with them I realized one adjusted the scope up and the other sideways. It adjusts in tiny little adjustments so it isn’t really noticeable until you look through the finder scope and watch the red dot move. What I did was find my target through the scope and locked it down then fine tuned the finder scope using both little nobs one at a time. I then rechecked through the scope itself to make sure it was still on target. A few back and forths and I had them lined up and matched. Being a beginners scope the directions should be detailed for everything since us beginners are really ignorant regarding scopes especially adjusting finder scopes but that’s just me. As for Customer Service it is excellent. I received almost immediate replys to my emails with answers and suggestions and they never had me feel dumb or an irritant for not knowing what I was doing.

Decent beginner telescope
While this telescope can see plenty of night items clearly, the features used to move the telescope have some play in the locking features. The phone mount is not user friendly, and probably across all models. The adjustable handle also prevents certain angle adjustments, and limits viewing without adjustment of the entire scope.

Get what you pay for.
For the price it’s a cheap nice little scope but the lens is not coated as the seller states and Iam not sure that you are getting the full 70mm the way this scope is made.

CHEAP QUALITY
This telescope is made very cheap. The tripod is not tall enough and it’s wobbly . The instructions are terrible Bad English. I returned this.

Nice Telescope For The Price
Easy to assemble. Lightweight. Was missing the phone attachment, but was quickly remedied.
