solid, but shipping was a nightmare
I think Intel is always pretty good.Nothing wrong with CPU itself. Pretty good.I did have shipping troubles though, getting mixed up with a 13th gen i5, leading me to return it and buy the only thing available in real life for something quick, which was a 13th gen i7, but then that not working on my current Motherboard after waiting a bit for a case.I chalk it up to common holiday mix ups and one of the shipping labels making the wrong label, but just to keep in mind.I will say when I ordered this exact one again but during Christmas, it came faster and was exactly what I ordered. Not sure how, but good go second round!

I accidentally bought the i7 (this one) vs the i9. Used it in a different setup and worked exactly as expected. No issues with bent pins or a bad processor. If anything changes I’ll be sure to update.

No problems, but don’t expect typical workloads to be significantly faster either.
Processor runs reasonably cool, typically 20c less than my GPU on the same water-cooled loop. I installed Windows 11, and it shows 20 cores. Benchmarking with RDR2 shows a laughable difference from an I7-6700K, which is a 7 year old processor; it was 2-3fps on average. It’s all about the GPU folks, the CPU after 7 years makes just about 1% difference.All these fools overclocking and worrying about memory latency? OK, if you’re running a database or video editing; for the other 99%, this is a great processor, but it won’t make a dimes worth of difference in FPS. I didn’t really believe it would, but was curious how much of a difference a new CPU (that is 7 years newer), a new motherboard, and new memory would make. It makes almost no difference. I only really replaced the hardware all because I was seriously worried it was going to fail and the newer GPU will need the newer PCIE 4.0 bus. If GPUs ever become available at MSRP, I’ll be set for awhile, but not holding my breath. It’ll probably be 2023 before that is true again..

Get the right Motherboard
It’s a good CPU, but I had the wrong motherboard which meant I also had to get new RAM. I managed to upgrade my PC with about a 500 dollar budget.

Powerful CPU
Works really great, haven’t tried to OC or under volt but I’m sure you could get it to 5.1-5.2 ghz. Runs pretty hot so make sure you get at least a 240 rad or a pretty good tower cooler. Would recommend.

Snappy 12700KF
Been great this far. Has been snappy both on Windows 11 and Linux. I have yet to test gaming at 1440P my main monitor but can say file explorer and game were smooth.

Good product
It arrived earlier than expected, the packaging arrived in good condition, so far everything is going well. It is easy to install. I have noticed that on some occasions when doing algorithms the cpu runs at 100% and everything else slows down and if you press another key everything crashes

Fast and runs great with air cooling
I installed this in Asus z690 TUF DDR5 mobo in mid July along with 64GB dual channel (Crucial) and the XFX Merc 319 6950xt. I used a Noctua DH-15 air cooler and NT-H1 thermal paste and I’ve gotten nowhere near what I would consider hot.My only complaint is that enabling XMP at an higher frequency seems to make it unstable (might be my fault for going over 32gb of my choice of RAM) and any my attempts to overclock the CPU didn’t go well either.Oh well, it’s so fast as it that overclocking seems pointless anyways

Great CPU
This cpu is great, even in 2023 it’s a great cpu for gaming. The only downside is that it doesn’t have any integrated gpu if you ever need to troubleshoot but realistically, it’s not a huge deal. It’s worth getting even going into 2024, the changes haven’t been drastic enough to spend the absurd amount for modern cpus. If you can get a 13600k instead or even 14600k, go that route but if you’re on a heavy budget, buy this.

Switching back to Intel from AMD
Was stuck on the fence between I9 and the I7 for my everyday needs. My focus was to future proof the next build because my first experience with intel ever was a good one. I went with an I7 build back in 2010 and that system outperforms lasting a good 8-9 years before encountering some issues with heating and performance. Compared to my current AMD build which unfortunately has only been around for 3 years experienced performance issues earlier on due to the higher demand these newer games require.Yeah I’m glad with my choice of going back to Intel. It feels like a solid choice and with the sales right now for the I7, now is a good time to buy this processor. Yeah, I’m missing out on like 4 cores of processing speeds and could maybe potentially boost the lifespan of my system by a couple of more months with the I9, but that extra hundred or so would be better spent towards a dedicated graphics card. Hoping the 4060-4080 line of cards get a sale! I probably wouldn’t even notice the performance difference from the get go, but I’m happy with this reputable brand.

Lost for words, even right now with 14th gen already on the market, this is a great choice for those who still want an 8 core cpu for multitasking, just make sure to get a really good and trustworthy 80 plus gold PSU or higher, you’ll have to take good care of your graphics card because this chip doesn’t have integrated graphics

I purchased this cpu for a work desktop computer, not doing any gaming. Super fast, very pleased with it. Was only a bit disappointed that I needed to purchase a heat sink and thermal silver glue separately. Back in the day they used to come packaged together with one. I’ve been very happy with the performance of this processor.

Very Good CPU but be Careful if you Buy it in a Bundle
This CPU has bundle options with a motherboard and the CPU, I needed a new motherboard that was compatible with the CPU so I thought why not, well, for some reason the motherboards it is bundled with does not support this CPU? I mean it is my fault for not looking at the compatibility for it more, but I mean come on, why would I want a motherboard that only supports AMD CPU’s when I am buying an Intel CPU? I’ll just return the motherboard, so no big deal, just inconvenient.

Fast. Good value
I like Intel processors. Been building primarily Intel based computers since my first 386SX 16 back in about 1991. I just never have issues with Intel builds like I have with other vendors. This i7 is no different. It’s fast and stable with a moderately priced air cooler. No issues. Rock solid. I think this 12th gen is currently the best bang for the buck as of late summer 2023.

Stable is what counts.
Finally updated from a 4790k to the 12700KF with all the surrounding components like storage, RAM and mainboard. So far I’m impressed with the CPU. For my use, stability is what counts. I’m not looking to overclock or get the most points in a benchmark. I need a development platform with occasional gaming capabilities. Prime day got me this CPU for under $200.00. It’s not 13th gen but does a few seconds difference in computation time really matter? Recommended.

Pair with MOBO that can supply full power for OC
Amazon reviews are not the place for hardware reviews or specs but this cpu blows my old Fx 8350 away with no contest whatsoever.I was forced to upgrade my platform when pairing a RX 6600 with my old FX 8350 to find out the new CS2 update would leave the 8350 at 100% usage even at lowest settings, freezing the game making FPS gameplay impossible.The new to me i7 sits at 25% usage everything maxed out in CS2 and now I can play Starfield at ultra 60+ fps 1080p 60hz at like 40% usage it’s nutty.AND IM DUMB because I paired it with a mobo that can’t supply full power (vreg limited) so it has even more headroom it doesn’t hit base clock under load for more than a minute (and I put heatsinks on the vreg)

So far so good, haven’t had any issues. Easy install on a new build.32gb DDR5 at 6000mhz no problemGPU RX 6700 XTEverything worked flawless and mainly using it for gaming on a 49″ Neo G9 super ultrawide at 1440p and getting anywhere between 70-100 frames on AAA titles.

Importante!!! Para quienes compran sus elementos independientes, conocer posibles fallos ajenos al CPU. Si la motherboard dice luz roja CPU o hace un pequeño encendido y no enciende más el PC. NO solo puede ser error de CPU, puede ser fallo de la alimentación y sus voltajes o de la motherboard que tenga un corto. En mi caso mi PC encendía sin cables de alimentación del CPU, pero cuando los conectaba ya no más. La solución fue el voltaje enviado al CPU lo que activaba la protección y hacía que se apagara. Es un excelente chip y me costaba creer que llegara dañado.

Just a fantastic cpu overall
Don’t be suckers. The i9 is a workstation cpu and you don’t need that for your gaming pc. The i7 is the way. Fantastic overall. 12th gen so far has been the best gen (13th was a half step and 14th is a joke)

Good processor, poor internal graphics
I bought this CPU with internal graphics primarily to have backup if my primary installed GPU should fail. Also for the speed and quality of the CPU itself, it satisfies. But the internal graphics not so much. I used it’s graphics for the time I was shopping and waiting for my ordered GPU and was not impressed. I would never want to depend on it permanently. My TV monitor continually had issues with detecting it’s source and would drop connection on occasion, forcing me to have to continually reset HDMI cable in it’s port. A real irritation and pain. Is this a problem with the MBs HDMI port or the CPU. I don’t know, but either way it ain’t good. Nor did I care much for the overall look of the graphics it provided. Just not quality.I have been using a big screen TV for a monitor my for many years and never had this issue, so I don’t think it’s the TV. Still the cost of an I7 K vs an I7 KF is negligible so why not go for the one with graphics in case I ever need it. For a short while.
