Awesome Soundbar!
I bought this soundbar for my 40 something inch Vizio TV that I use in my living room. This TV in particular seems to have speakers only on the back of the TV which means even with the TV sound turned all the way up the sound quality was terrible and I could barely hear a thing! It sounded like my TV was in a box! It was absolutely neccessary for me to purchase a soundbar.I wanted a nice middle of the road soundbar that would give me a good listening experience but that wasn’t some big investment and I did a bit of research on them before ultimately deciding just to give this one a try. It came quickly and was packed very well. It was actually quite a bit of work to get it out of its manufacturing package.I was able to mount it below my TV that is on a rolling TV stand and place the subwoofer in the back of the room on the floor in a stationary place. The soundbar is the perfect size for my 40 something inch tv and has a great sleek look. It seems to be made very well and is comparable to any other soundbar I’ve ever seen in person.The subwoofer is also not too big or too small and it’s not very noticeable at all sitting on the floor in the back of my room. It’s very reasonably sized and blends in well. The only thing I don’t like about the subwoofer is that the power cord plugs into the front of the subwoofer which looks pretty dumb.The remote it comes with works well. The soundbar is easy to figure out and use and the sound quality so far has been great. It really changes my whole experience when watching my TV. It makes me feel like I’m in a movie theatre.Being that this soundbar was very reasonably priced, is of great quality and has great sound I am 100% happy with my choice to purchase this specific soundbar and I think anyone else would be as well.

Great Value
Pleasantly surprised for the cost. Very quick set up. Plug everything in, turn it on, and it works perfectly. All functions work as advertised. Nice to have separate bass and treble controls for the bar. You can really dial in a great balanced sound with the sub. The sub is surprisingly good. Smaller than a shoe box, but really pumps, with head room to spare. Works great for the bedroom, but would probably be ok for a small living room as well.

Not completely wireless
I bought this product thinking it was completely wireless. The 2 small speakers need to be wired to the subwoofer. My mistake for not looking deeper into this. So, I tried it anyway. Installation was very easy and basically plug and play with my Sansung 65′ TV. I must say, sound is pretty good and fills my bedroom nicely and for the price I am quite happy with the system and will keep.

Excellent for the price
This an excellent system for most people’s dens, especially if you’re at the “advanced” age where/when you’ve downsized. It works great with my 56″ flat screen TV, small by today’s standards. Before this I had a system with a front speaker, 4 surrounds, and a big woofer. That was in a much bigger room. For 95% of people this system will be all you need or want. It sounds great with Fast and Furious and other action type movies.Very easy to set up, even for a guy who’s well over 70 years old; much easier than my old system. Basically, plug and play. Blue tooth connectivity is great. No complaints so far, but it’s only a week old.

great product
setup was quick and easy. Some people might complain about the speakers not being fully wireless, but I have had bad experience with fully wireless so I am happy with this setup.At first the dialogue was to low and hard to hear. A quick tune of the settings with dialogue enhancement and tru volume and everything sounds good.I am not an audiophile so I doubt I would even recognize the difference from a “high end” sound system.This looks ok and it sounds good.

Easy to setup
My TV has the speakers in the back, so I struggled hearing anything I was watching. This system is exactly what I’d hoped it would be. It was incredibly easy to setup. The hardest part of the setup was that I didn’t know about HDMI ARC, and connected it to the wrong HDMI port. Once connected to the correct port it worked amazingly. Had my dog cowering on the couch with me while I tested the sound watching Endgame; she’s not a fan of Thanos. The subwoofer is powerful and I love that I can change the settings to enhance the dialogue or reduce the bass. It reminds me of watching movies in the theater and made watching tv at home more enjoyable. Worth the money and so glad I made this purchase!

Fantastic sound quality! Super easy to install and setup!
This sound system is fantastic! It completely transforms the movie/tv watching experience. The sound quality is exceptional from all the speakers. The bluetooth subwoofer connected flawlessly and produces room jarring bass.Installation was super easy. After unwrapping all the components, it took me less than 30 minutes to install. I mounted the sound bar under my LG TV (model 65um7300aue) and attached to the wall using the included brackets. The rear speakers sit directly on a fireplace mantle I have in the back of the room. The subwoofer sits on the floor in the rear of the room. I used the HDMI ARC connection option. This VIZIO package came with most everything I needed for the install, including all the cables. The only things I needed to supply myself were two small screws to attach the sound bar brackets to my wall.Once everything was installed, my TV recognized the new equipment and asked if I wanted to switch from the TV speakers to the new VIZIO speakers. I only had to click “OK” and everything was switched – I did not have to go in to the TV settings manually to do anything. The speaker tests using the remote control worked perfectly the first time and I am super impressed by the sound quality – a true night and day difference from the TV speakers. My only disappointment is that I didn’t do this a lot sooner ;).

There is a slight design flaw
The unit sounds great, and I would have given it a 5 Star rating however there is a bit of a design flaw in the ‘Eco Power’ feature that will shut the unit off when you are using the unit to listen to music from a secondary device like a phone and the TV is not on.This happens because for some reason, the software can get confused that even though it may be in BT mode and a source is sending it music and it is performing its task as the output, it thinks the TV has shut down so after approximately two minutes the ‘Eco Power” (I apologize if that is not the exact terminology for the feature) tells the soundbar to shut off.Although I was able to locate information online about this from a number of YouTube content providers (which proves it is a design flaw as I am obviously not the only person who has experienced this with a number of Vizio products), that gave instructions on how to disable the ‘Eco Power’ feature, (holding the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for approx 5 seconds until the led lights show lights in the middle of the volume bar but no lights at the top or bottom), I found that I was having to perform this disable of the feature every time I wanted to use the BT feature (which I use every night for music while going to sleep) otherwise, the soundbar would just turn off after two minutes of receiving just the BT signal/music from the phone.Because it was not user-friendly to have to perform this disable of the feature on a nightly basis I eventually called Vizio Customer Service and the technician had me perform a hard reset of the soundbar (simultaneously holding the BT and power down buttons?), re-pairing the soundbar to my phone, disabling the Eco Power feature and it worked…so far.As an aside, if you want to wall mount the soundbar, although it does come with the the mountable stand, it does not include the two screws needed to drill into the studs, which I found rather strange, so I had to go to the hardware store to get those.Otherwise, the unit is a great value for the dollar for a soundbar/sub woofer combo, particularly for a relatively small area as my bedroom.

Amazing soundbar and subwoofer!
It was so easy to setup, except the HDMI cable it came with did not quite work. It may be because we were trying to connect this Vizio soundbar to a Samsung TV. We also tried AUX cable and AUX ARC but it wasn’t quite syncing well. Then finally we tried to connect it with an optical audio cable and that did it for us. Pairing it via Bluetooth also worked great! This is awesome considering it’s priced at a portion of other soundbars out there. Totally recommend it. Watching movies has never been this fun and exciting!

Surround is a bit distorted but I don’t care, it’s great.
I got this for my Mom for Christmas. It gets plenty loud. Recommend toggling the tru-sound thing or it won’t get very loud.. It’ll get too loud if you want it too loud. But the reason I got it is the reason I praise it. The way it distributes sound is “PROPERLY”. It throws audio around famously. Clarity. Mom can hear the words spoken on the TV now. Definitely worth it. I don’t know why the surround speakers often sound like they’re under water, probably just the sound bluetooth makes, but unless I’m holding them right next to my ear I don’t really notice. I honestly kind of expected the surround speakers to put out spoken audio to bring it in closer to her, but it’s all good. The sound bar projects great, and even if it’s just music and effects, the surrounds still really liven up the experience. Worth it.

Unbelievable for the price!
This product is great. Takes the “head scratching” out of trying to figure out how to hide wires from the front of the room to the back of the room. The wireless subwoofer and rear speaker combo answers that question. Sounds amazing! I am thinking about buying another one for my loft!

Much better than TV speakers
Excellent sound compared to TV speakers. Attaching to a sound bar mount is more time consuming than it needs to be. Why not put threaded inserts in the back (like a TV has) in order to attach it to the mount? Instead it has round tabs that have to be precisely spaced on the sound bar mount (bolts not included) in order for the sound bar to slide over them. Although not difficult it is much more time consuming getting everything lined up and even than it has to be.

Great soundbar
Installed this on a 42″ flat screen TV for an elderly couple having difficulty hearing it as it sits on a corner stand several inches from the walls. They absolutely love it! Sound quality is good and it no muss, no fuss for them. The soundbar came with and HDMI cable which I connected to the HDMI (ARC) port on the TV, which allows it to control the soundbar power and functions through the TV remote, less moving parts for the users. They have satellite television and have no issues with this setup. The soundbar has decent bass and plenty of volume. The users especially like listening to classic country music with it, the wife says she feels like she is in a concert hall! Overall, a straight-forward and easy installation, and two very satisfied family members. Great sound and great bang for the buck!

Audiophile Conversion Kit
First off, I’m not an audiophile. I often read movie reviews where people gush about the soundtrack. I don’t feel like I notice it.But WOW! I panicked when I first got this because I wanted to hook it up to a $100 projector that Santa brought for Christmas. The projector doesn’t have an HDMI arc port, so I thought I’d have to return it. I was able to use the Bluetooth connection, and it worked great. I had all of the speakers hooked up and playing within 10 minutes (just sitting there, not mounted on the wall). The sound was amazing. If was so fun to hear the great acoustics from around the room. My wife, kids, and I couldn’t stay on just one movie because we kept wanting to see what the next thing would sound like.I’ve had it for one night, and I’m really wondering if I’ll be able to watch movies on my TV now.The only con I found is that the audio was off from the video a little. I had to dork around with the audio delay settings a little. It’s surprisingly challenging for me to tell if I’m making it better or worse, but I think I got it figured out. Great sound system, and the price makes it feel like you’re in the theater for a couple hundred bucks. Sure beats $13.50 a ticket!

Tip: Skip the app set up!
Context. I have a Fire TV and it was linked to an Echo Dot for sound prior to this speaker set by Vizio.I was so frustrated when I couldnt pair the speaker to my Alexa app. The Vizio app was a waste of time too. I checked for software or firmware updates on every device. Everything was connected as directed without sound. Bluetooth connection, however, was easy.I was about to give up when I decided to try 2 more things.1. Un-pair my Echo Dot with the TV.2. Unplug my TV (not power off), and plug it back in after a few seconds.Upon starting up it connected to the Fire TV without issue. The apps are still irrelevant.The sound is fantastic and worth the heartache I suppose.Just keep it simple, I guess. It’s more plug and play than “set-up” intensive.RL

Fantastic
I bought these as a Christmas gift and I was so excited to get it! It was definitely a bit difficult to set up but not for the reasons you’d think! It was more finding the right places to get the sound just right and then tuning it to perfection. Another thing was setting up the Bluetooth but that was a mistake on our own side lol (make sure you have the aux plugged in the right port lol) but wow the audio is killer and just bangin! Really sounds like you’ve got your own personal movie theater!!!

Plugged right in and worked
I wanted an inexpensive, compact, all-in-one soundbar. This one ticked all the boxes, plus we had a Visio TV for several years that gave good service. It connected to our current LG TV as soon as I connected the cable and plugged into power. I mounted it on brackets I made that attach to the back of the media cabinet.The sound is certainly better than the TV’s speakers, and much better than our desktop Bluetooth speaker for music. Good value for the money, but note that the Amazon price isn’t exceptional. This model is often on sale at Walmart, Sam’s, Best Buy, etc,. so shop around.

Decent
Overall happy with this sound bar, but it started making a crackling sound randomly within a week of installing it. It’s only happened a few times since then (bought and installed Nov 2023 and it’s now Feb 2024) and usually only lasts about 5 seconds or so when it happens, but it was disappointing to have an issue so quick into using it. Otherwise it’s been great.

I was having a hard time hearing my 43″ vizio tv audio. Bought this soundbar and im so glad i did. Very good audio. I would point out to tweak your audio settings on your tv to suit the soundbar. I am very happy with my purchase! Also i bought a audio optical cord and use that instead of the hdmi, personal preference.

At Long Last
I have been searching for years for a speaker system that would work with my current setup. My TV is one of the first smart TVs marketed and it lacks some of the connections most of the current audio sets require. I have hearing issues and while I’m not deaf I have difficulty hearing the dialogue clearly and have resorted to using closed captioning with remote speakers to assist. I was using a set of wireless satellite speakers that plugged into the 3.5mm audio output and transmitted wirelessly to the remote speakers. I finally found this set that includes satellite speakers that work wirelessly with the subwoofer and sound bar. I got this set yesterday and expected to return it after going through the process to set it up only to discover that it didn’t solve my issues like the many sets previously purchased and returned. Using an optical cable (purchased separately) in a matter of minutes I had this setup and running and pleasantly surprised at how well it worked with my system. The set didn’t come with a users manual but I have been able to play around with the various settings and now I have a fully functioning stereo setup that works for my hearing issues and now closed captioning, while it’s still helpful, it isn’t a requirement for me to enjoy my streaming experience. The sound is crisp, the footprint is small and the price was reasonable. I never realized how bad my existing TV speakers were and how the analog audio from my remote speakers wasn’t really helping, it’s like night and day!

Updated -Will work only with HDMI 1 port. So does DirecTV. Returning it
I am adjusting my review and changed the overall rating. I got the sound bar working with my cheap Vizio TV using the HDMI1-ARC port and somehow finally got DirecTV to use the HDMI2 port (that was what sealed the deal). The sound isn’t exceptional yet but I have it hooked up to a low-end TV and haven’t used the subwoofer because I do not have an available outlet for it in my office. I always get the message that the subwoofer is not found when I turn it on which is a little annoying.*—And it won’t work without the subwoofer.My Vizio D24h-J09 TV has a HDMI1-Arc port and an HDMI 2 port. The setup for the TV only accepts the HDMI 1 port. So DirecTV can only be used with the HDMI 1 port and not the HDMI2 port. This soundbar will not work with the HDMI 2 port since it is not ARC. So I must return it.

Good value
I was looking for a smaller sound bar with excellent ratings and this fit the bill. We always had trouble understanding dialog while watching movies and turning up the volume wasn’t the solution. The tv speaker just didn’t project well. This sound bar makes a significant difference. And my xfinity remote controlled the sound bar volume right out of the box — i didn’t have to do anything. Very pleased.

Great sound
Easy set up and sounds great.. The remote LED display is so so dim I have too cup my hand to read it.. I got ahold of Amazon and they gave me the run around and said to contact VIZIO.. What a pain in the ass , just send me a replacement remote , what’s the problem ? To much of a hassle and “I WILL BUY AND PAY FOR MY OWN REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT”

Easy setup, good sound
Hooked it up to the TV with the supplied HDMI cable and plugged it in to power, and that was all the setup there was. TV automatically detected it and the subwoofer automatically connected.

Impressive sound in a compact unit
Easy to set up and decent sound and depth/range. A real upgrade over the LG TV speakers, especially for family members a bit hard of hearing. The remote unit frequency is so close to the spectrum remote control frequency that any pressing on the spectrum remote will either increase or decrease the volume. I resolved this by getting rid of the spectrum remotes and switching to Roku.

Sounds Good, Simple Setup
For the price, you’re not going to beat it. It sounds good in a smaller room. Not sure for a larger room, but for the room I have it in (15×15), it’s great! All you need.Very simple setup. Basically plug it in and you’re done. Again, awesome for the price.

This is another pure luxury solution to a gold plate problem: portable device speakers generally sound . . . small. Well at my desk I don’t have to live with that! I didn’t want speakers in my line of sight-my youngest son put custom built LEGO figures at each end of my desk anyway. I also didn’t want wires connecting-more gold plate problems you see. So Bluetooth was essential. DTS and HDMI ARQ were nice to have features. I set the budget, found the solution to my phantom problem, and BOOM the blue truck of joy set me about my next task: listening to BIG SOUND (I hoped).Fast forward: I connected to my Chromebook via Bluetooth. You get an audio and visual confirmation that you are connected (there is an LED on the front of the soundbar that briefly glows blue). I Played a movie first. Using the EQ button on the remote control, I toggled through the various settings, finally selecting “movie.” There was audio confirmation of my selection. The sound was outstanding with great left to right separation. You don’t always hear things move side to side when watching movies on a laptop. Ha ha ha. Add a Vizio V-Series Sound Bar and you will! Ok, I did. I tested it with music from my laptop next.Using the EQ button on the remote control, I again toggled through the four available settings, until I reached “music.” There was audio confirmation of my selection. I cycled through classic rock, jazz, and deep house. It sounded pretty good with all of them. Crisp highs clean mids and bass. Listen, this is not an audiophile or a studio reference speaker. It’s a hundo TV sound bar. Set your expectations accordingly. Having said that–it thrives on playing loudly. In fact this thing begs to rock out. I like my neighbors and my ears. When I feed the beast I move away then use the remote to turn it up!Which brings me to using it with my phone: No matter what my phone enhances the bass more than I like. even flat bass is too much. I’ll continue tweaking the settings, but in general, my phone’s EQ is geared towards a bass heavy genre of music that my kids probably love but that I don’t. C’est la vie.So the most important question is would I buy this item again? Yes. I would.

Great set if you aren’t going to use the aux.
I wanted this for my desktop computer but the aux port would create a pop and crackling noise when audio was set to low. Any other input works great. Ended up using it on my television instead.

Decent Sound for the money
Easy to hook-up with the HDMI cord. The Sub-Woofer recognized the sound bar instantly. My Samsung TV also recognized there was another choice added to the list of speakers available. The overall sound is much better than the speakers on my TV, so I was happy with the difference, but don’t think this is going to sound like a theater system. So, for the money a good choice, if you’re looking for great TV speakers.My only complaint is the remote. The remote that comes with this model has no display, which makes adjusting the sound challenging and somewhat time consuming if you bar isn’t in plain sight. (there is another model that has a remote with a visual display).

Fantastic sounding, and good value!
Its a fantastic sounding sound bar! The reason I purchased is I had two problems: a bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and a TV that was angled down. So the TV’s rear-facing speakers projected sound up into the ceiling where it would all be lost. I always had to use closed captions because dialogue was non existent, and I had to crank the volume nearly all the way up to hear anything. I read reviews and got this sound bar for $100. I’ve had it for a week and I am thoroughly impressed! It sounds fantastic! I’m amazed at how much bass comes out of it, yet how small it is. Dialogue is super clear. I enjoy watching shows now because it sounds so great! It was super easy to set up too: just power and HDMI, and it came with the HDMI cord, albeit a short one. I especially liked how it automatically syncs with the TV’s remote/volume buttons without having to mess around with it. Only con is the instructions weren’t clear on how to orient it if I didn’t want to wall mount it. I put it on the organizer console below the TV and faced the lights towards me, so that would be “flat” down but the instructions didn’t say to do that. It sounds fantastic though and I can see the lights when I change volume so I’m leaving it oriented that way. The audio is like something that should cost $350+. Pleasant surprise that it only cost $100 and sounds great!

What a difference!
It’s been very frustrating when watching movies, when the background music overwhelms the dialogue, or in scenes where the actors are whispering, and we can’t hear them. Enter the VIZIO 5.1 soundbar! Wow! It’s like a whole new auditory world opened up! Easy setup. Haven’t completely explored the remote and settings, but so far the sound is extraordinary. No issues whatsoever with hearing/understanding dialogue. We don’t have room to set up for true surround (subwoofer and surround speakers in the rear of the room) but even so the sound is clear, crisp, penetrating. Like sitting in a theater. Thanks!!

its all good especially for the quality and price, but not so for the remote
The remote almost became the factor to return the sound bar. The back plate is engineered not to come off with reasonable user effort. having had many remotes this one would not dissemble to put the batteries in. i had come across this issue thru reading other customer reviews and complaints and that is exactly as described. i called customer service and went thru their extensive protocols to remove the back plate, all failed, in frustration i finally informed customer service that i would have to pry the back open with a dime inserted in the channel holding the two pieces together and it would likely break the remote the customer rep went silent and hung up. probably because they did not want to agree with this necessary extreme measure. sure enough the dime worked. I went around the channel and applied pressure at the top pf the remote and was able to carefully pry and slide the very stubborn plate off.

Beautiful, explosive sound!!!
I love this soundbar!!! I have been using an older 2.1 Vizio soundbar, and it still works well, but I wanted to upgrade! Wow, what a difference!!! The sound is great, and the bass is deep! I am a night owl, and the remote display being lit up keeps me from guessing at the features. I love the theater like surround sound, since I watch a lot of movies, and I love my music!!! I have been using Vizio products for around 15 years, and I have been very happy with the quality of their equipment! The room that I am using this in is small, so Dolby Atmos would have been too much, and with a low ceiling, the direct fire speakers would just not work well!!! I was trying to get away from a separate subwoofer, by going to an all in one soundbar, but the refurbished one that I bought had a bad woofer out of the box, so I am sending it back. I am happy with this replacement!!! I think that you will be happy with this soundbar!!! Enjoy!!!

Great sound!!
I bought a replacement tv and decided to get this sound bar as well. After the TV was mounted, I asked the guy to also reconnect my floor Sony speakers. He said, I really don’t think you need them. He was absolutely right.I paid $400+ for the Sony set up back in the…..90’s (don’t judge; they work and sound great 😌). This sound bar is every bit as good and the wires are not exposed.This is about our 5th Vizio unit – they never disappoint!

Great sound for the price…
Nice clean modern design. Super easy setup. Like the vocal prompts. Bass is nice and deep. I don’t see anything being better for the price. VERY small gripe opening the back of the remote for batteries is a pain in the butt (use a butter knife to pop the area opposite the arrow). For the most part, satisfied
For the most part, this soundbard and subwoofer have been a great addition to my TV setup. Getting the speakers hooked up to the TV was very simple, took only a couple minutes to pair with my Amazon Fire TV. The sound quality for the most part is very nice. However, I’ve noticed that in some movies, when the sound gets very quite, the soundbar will cut out completely and only pick back up when the sound in the movie reaches a certain limit. It’s not unbearable but certainly wish that wouldn’t happen. Subwoofer will also rattle a tiny bit when turned up too high but most of the time the rattle just gets over powered by the sound of the TV in general so you only hear it if you get right up to Subwoofer. For the price, I would recommend.

This soundbar kicks A$$
I used to own a Bose Soundbar but my wife got it in the divorce. All of the reviews for this one were kind but didn’t do it justice. The setup was automatic and putting the subwoofer in the rear of the room as directed truly bought out the full potential it. The base is direct and strong and all sounds are crystal clear. To me this soundbar is better than the Bose one at one tenth of the cost with a small footprint that is perfect for my small apartment. If you’re in the market for a sound bar don’t go any further because this one is IT!

Good sounding, not too much bass.
This soundbar is effective enough to make you feel like there’s more than one speaker. The soundbar has a built in bass system that allows good bass without the pounding sound and it doesn’t need a floor bass attachment. One feature I liked is there is a nighttime button on the remote that lessens the bass enough that it doesn’t wake anyone up in the next room, but still allows enough to appreciate the sound.This product I approve of and I’m happy with my purchase.

Fantastic dialogue setting
Just excellent. Wireless from the soundbar to the subwoofer and the satellite speakers are wired from the subwoofer with generously long color coded cords to the rear speakers. The remote is somewhat intuitive with a small learning curve, but all aspects of the sound output are very adjustable including dialogue which I can now hear perfectly. As a seasoned citizen if it works for me, it should work for you.

I wish there was a way to change the speaker sound levels individually. Movie audio is way louder than the dialogue and the effects it comes with to change the levels don’t do much.

Good for what you need.
Pretty pleased with this 5.1 Vizio system. It’s no amp with external speakers type setup but this is great for you get. Makes movies and gaming more incredible and even music as well. I’m actually so pleased with the quality of this system that planning to get the 2.0 Vizio soundbar for my parents, who don’t need/want surround, but have been complaining about the sound of their TV.

Vizio Soundbar
Included connecting wires were not listed in product description so I assumed they would be included. Wires needed to connect my TV (RCA jacks to 3.5mm) were not included. I recently purchased a blue tooth transmitter that included this wire. Now I have to wait while I place another order for the correct wire. Claims to have easy to clean textured surfaces when in fact the front is covered with fabric. Sound is better than from the TV speakers No basic hookup or operating manual included. I will definitely research my next electronics purchases better.

Very low voice level
By the exorbitant amount of raving reviews, I’m shocked to my disappointment in this soundbar. It’s merely plug and play indeed, but lacks any real adjustments though. I paired this with a Vizio 50″ MQX TV, so I was expecting a well balanced sound…or at least better than the small rear drivers in the MQX. What I got was very superb high quality sound of every type EXCEPT the most important…speech! With the TV speaker volume it needs to be about 20-25 out of 100 to be loud enough. With this soundbar it needed to be 64-70 for the voices to be sufficient volume. BUT, then the music, dynamic sounds and immersive sounds would be blaringly loud. Another thing on the sound, as a gamer, it got rather annoying trying to tweak the minimal adjustments to make the two games I tried out sound pleasantly, but then when I switched to TV for a movie, I had to re-tweak the sound for TV. The few EQ sets it has doesn’t seem to set and stay set upon changing.Also, while using the soundbar, twice my TV suddenly restarted on two occasions and my TV’s picture settings would suddenly disable numerous settings greying them out until I changed picture set to and from… Soon as I stopped using the bar, that odd issue stopped as well.Even just the mediocre speech leveling alone, I cannot recommend this bar. Can’t enjoy a movie if you can’t hear what they’re saying unless you wish to go deaf from every other sound in the film… In conclusion, I am returning the V20 soundbar as I’m rather disappointed the voice leveling is something they seemed to have forgotten to equal out.

Good sound but the sub can get a bit boomy sometimes
It sounds reasonably good out of the box but needs tweaking to get the best sound for your room. It is much better sounding than speakers on any TV but obviously is not going to compete with a proper sound system.It is a good option for the bedroom where you might not want a full sized sound system. I mounted the bar under my wall mounted TV and put the sub under a desk.While the sound quality is good for the price, the sub can get a bit boomy. The boominess can happen with some male voice tones. You can hear them speaking then a weird boominess on some low tones. The sub is by far the weakest part of the sound and I find the overall sound quality is better if the sub is turned down.The HDMI ARC connection between the TV and soundbar doesn’t quite work perfectly. When I turn the TV on using its remote, it also powers on the soundbar. I can also use the TV remote to control the volume. The problem is when I turn off the TV. It does not turn off the soundbar. When the soundbar is in this state with no active input, it flashes some very bright lights continually on the left. I have to then reach for the soundbar remote to turn it off.It does allow you to disable the power LED when in normal use which I like because it is very bright but the flashing still happens when there is. Inactive input.

Works great, until..
Works great until it randomly shuts off occasionally. No one has any remotes and it’s in the middle of a show. Has happened 3 times since we purchased it 2 months ago. Otherwise we love it!

Compact size, impressive sound
I have two other, larger, much more expensive sound bars. For my den/office I wanted to upgrade my sound for listening to music and watching sports. The 24″ VIZIO V-Series 2.1 did not disappoint. For music, selecting the music EQ with DTS Virtual:X filled the space with clear, impressive sound. The adjustable remote subwoofer unit provides all the bass you want (or don’t want). For TV sports, selecting the dialogue EQ with DTS TruVolume is far superior to the TV’s speaker. Setup and switching Bluetooth devices is easy. For a small to medium size space, you can spend a lot more but not hear much of an difference.
