Great little monopod and tripod!
This monopod has been an excellent addition to my COMAN heavy duty 72″ tripod. I use this frequently for on-the-go type of shoots with both a camcorder and DSLR. It’s nice having the arm and fluid head on a monopod for what I need it for, but you can also remove parts to suit your needs. The legs on the base are very sturdy too. Well worth the money!

A great buy for smaller setups.
I use this with my c100 mkii. It’s a little bigger than I should use the monitor pod for but it works well the bulit is really great. My only down side is that it’s a little wobbly at the lower end of the monopod. Now this might have to do because of the set up I have on top of it. I use a cinema camera. If I used a DSLR or mirrorless I’m sure it wouldn’t an issue.

Sturdy, perfect for a kit on the go.
This is a sturdy piece of equipment. The price tag may seem high, but it’s replaced my tripod on shoots at a third of the weight, and it is so much easier to store. It’s sturdy enough for interviews, photography, and all sorts of things. The head that it comes with is steller, way higher quality than I expected. Do yourself a favor and get this in your kit.

Disappointing Quality For the Serious Professional
Reached out to customer service and explained to them more than once that the monopod sent to me was defective. Instead of honoring the 8 year warranty advertised, the contact asked me to see a photo of the issue! I explained the issue was i ternal and now no response. Id rather spend more for a higher quality monopod than go back and forth with customer service in order to gets whats deserved. Purchase at YOUR OWN RISK.

Watch the arrow
Make sure you watch or look at the arrow on the head plate if you don’t and attempt to put on monopod it’s very difficult to remove, it’s a great stand but it’s not very ground based sturdy

Good value, perfect as backup or semi pro use
No where near as smooth as my precious manfrotto, but it’s still a very good monopod for the price. I like that it care with an extra plate and that the plates are interchangeable with my manfrotto (though you do have to work just a little to get the plate on, it holds securely).

It can handle my BMPCC 6k pro with the battery base and makes fast run and gun filming better
This Monopod is sturdy, and versatile. Collapsed all the way down it can support and balance my BMPCC 6K Pro with the battery base/cage and a Sigma 18-35 1.8 lens for short vlogging.I use the tilt handle as a shoulder brace and the entire rig like a glide cam for walking shots and it’s alright. If you screw the dial at the base you can tilt forward or backward smoothly. There is a strap as well and a foam hand grip. The mounting plate is big and tight with a release button. The thumb screw under the camera though needs to be primed for half a rotation before sliding on cameras on plates with no space between the plate and cage, so normally an extension or metal rod camera rig would allow clearance for that thumb screw.I wouldn’t trust this monopod like I would a dedicated tripod but it does give me a run and gun option for my heaviest camera, otherwise for most mirrorless cameras just use a motorized gimbal or standard tripod and if you have a small Sony mirrorless you can get away with ball head selfies sticks.

Wish I had bought it sooner
I’m in a Digital Media Tech degree program currently with a focus on film making. I have a regular tripod I use for most shots that require stability, but I was in need of something more for doing stabilized camera movements (tilt and pan) as well as quick and easy tripod-like shots. I did a ton of research and finally settled on a monopod, but my budget was no more than $100. I found this product and read/watched several reviews and decided to give it a go.I really wish I had bought this months ago when I started my degree. The fluid head is fantastic! It has buttery smooth movement. The build quality is great, especially for the price, and it feels very solid and durable. I’ve been using it for just under a month now and it’s actually replaced my regular tripod even for basic (no cam movement) shots.If you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive and durable, reliable monopod you can’t go wrong with this one. It also comes with a very nice padded bag (I’d say the padding is about 0.25-0.5″ thick) which is a nice bonus.

Clamp failure. **REVISED 6-13-22**
I bought this monopod in October of 2021. I used it maybe 4-5 times with my video camera at a car race and as a 2nd shooter at some weddings. I never abused it and kept it in the enclosed bag between uses. I pulled it out to video a rock band and noticed the middle clamp was broken. It still held the monopod in place but it’s clearly cracked. This thing is virtually new and had this problem in just 8 months with maybe 10-12 hours of use. I will have to retire it. Only good thing is the fluid head works and I will just transfer it over to my new monopod. Not loving the fact I spent $100 on this and there’s no warranty site for Coman that I can locate. I ended up getting the carbon fiber iFootage monopod C-180. So far so good. Much better quality but costs much more. **REVISED 6-13-22** After writing this review Coman did reach out to make it right. They did send me a new monopod. I will be using it as my backup but kudos to Coman for making it right. I took my star rating from a 3 to 4 since they replaced it. The picture is the defect I experienced.

Sturdy and versatile.
Use this all the time. I film sports, bts and some interviews. The feet allow the this to act as a tripod but I will never leave it unattended lol…. However it is well built. The video had is tight and hard to get a smooth pan, I haven’t figured out how to adjust it yet but the un and down tilt is very fluid.

Not that great for video work
It’s always a problem when a product is described as “professional” and it’s also a problem when you compared it based on that and ignore the much cheaper price compared to actual pro level gear.The tripod head here has the quick release plate you’ll find on better tripod heads, but it lacks the smooth motion you’d expect based on the product description.There’s no smooth panning, the mechanism is stuck even when you unscrew the little lock and you’re more likely to unscrew the actual head when panning to the left.The tripod legs are helpful for prompting the monopod next to you, but with any weight on it it’s obviously risky (it is a monopod after all). The angling on these legs make them unscrew all the time. I’ve lost it a couple of times while shooting outdoors, just by moving around.The monopod itself is fine, nice height, feels sturdy. It’s just not enough for the price and you’ll need to replace both ends of it with a better head and decent small tripod that doesn’t come loose

This instantly became the #1 tripod in my studio
I’m a full-time YouTuber who does a lot of product videos. I have a decent-sized studio but with all the gear and everything, floor space is always an issue. One of my biggest issues is getting the camera with a tripod close enough to a table or workspace. This goes ANYWHERE! Just pick it up and plop it down. And can we talk about the head on this? It’s better than some film tripods that cost three times the price of this.

Nice unit but tight head
I was impressed by the sturdiness of the whole unit and the quality of the case. I think it will hold up well in the long run. 4 stars though because the fluid head is really stiff. It’s starting to loosen up a little after working it back and forth and up/down. Only time will tell if this will be useful for video.

Love this thing
I’m in love with this Monopod. It’s 6 feet tall and freestanding and is a lifesaver when filming in tight spaces and corners. It’s sturdier than I expected and the fluid head mount was nicer than i would’ve expected it to be. My favorite feature is being able to pivot from the base adding a lot of versatility. Great buy!

I LOVE IT!
It comes with a nice case too! This is my very first Monopod. I didn’t want to get too with prices that is way over my budget. I was in the market for a monopod, that had a fluid head, with locking legs. I saw this one and comparing to others like Surui and Manfroto, it was really hard to decide because I never really had any hands on with any of the top brands. This one from COMAN just came. And I played with it for a little bit. The head is super fluid, it locks on the bottom, and tilts. I haven’t put it into any practical use but, I will find out shortly. But I think it’s gonna do the job. #wedding

Awesome Monopod
I ordered the KX3232 and after using it for the first time I took the original quick release plate out and I slide the Zhiyun Weedbill S quick release plate assembly onto the Coman Q5 head and it fits perfectly. Now all I have to do is order another Zhiyun plate and I am set to switch the camera from the Weebill S gimbal to the Coman monopod quickly.The monopod is very sturdy and the head rotate and turn smoothly with no friction. The leg sections extend out easily. I am happy with this purchase.

Item sold as new however item was used and missing item(s)
This item was listed and sold as new however it’s a used product. There was a Viltrox Time Lapse Intervalometer in the carry case. and there was NO manual for this item. It’s in good condition but I’m wondering besides the manual what else am I’m missing with this incomplete delivery. I was under the assumption I bought this new but that is FALSE!

Gets the job done right
This thing is great the only problem I have is that you have to hold onto it very tightly as you turn the fluid head because it will loosen the foot piece. Other than that I have no complaints

Solid performer
I use this monopod for video work on a large university campus. It’s very light and easy to tote. The feet provide a lot of stability but you do have to keep a hand on it to keep it from swaying or tipping over, especially if you have a larger camera rig attached. If you need extra plates, it takes the Manfrotto 501PL quick release plates. The only change I made was to buy a screw with a D-ring so I don’t have to use a screwdriver to take the plate on and off the camera rig.

Happy with this purchase.
I am happy with this product. I have only used it on a few shoots so far, so I’ll update this review if anything changes. The fluid head alone was worth the cost. Surprisingly smaller than I thought it would be, which is a good thing. The whole unit feels solid. I do wish the lock on the bottom would tighten enough to where there was no movement whatsoever when leaning on the unit. But when it does move, it is smooth. I have left my A6000 standing on its own inside, but I wouldn’t do that outside due to winds. Overall I’m happy with this purchase. I hope it holds up well.

Sturdy & Light Weight
This is used for live streaming. Very sturdy and light weight. It does shake a bit when people walk by it. It also has a small issue where the camera that sits on it is at a slight angle and I have to play with the stick to make it less angled. All in all great monopod

Piece of crap. Get a different Monopod.
After using this product for one day i’m returning it. The biggest problem with it is that the tightening mechanism on the feet comes loose too easily. Theres two different screw connection points. Its hard to explain without using it, but I kept having to tighten it and worry it would come loose. Trying to do a simple pan would cause the screw at the bottom to pop out of place and you had to grip the foam grip with kung fu grip to make sure it didn’t come loose. I even gaffer taped the screw and it still came loose. The feet are plastic and i feel like could break at any moment. i wouldn’t trust any of my equipment on it.

I’m quite pleased. Stands up on its own pretty well
Been playing with it for a little while now and I must say… I’m quite pleased. Stands up on its own pretty well. I trust my camera on it, if there’s no movement around, and you can always use weights if necessary. Great height. Durable. Great bag. Great Plate. Only downside is… I wish the knob that you use to screw the plate to the camera, had a small handle or latch. So you basically have to use a car key or something to tighten the screw into the camera. But def worth buying.

Not holding up
The monopod feel smooth at the pan tilt level but the base foot (stand) tend to fall despite using allen key to tighten it over and over. During last weekend use, the base detach from the monopod itself (not unscrewed but detach), will be getting steel glue to join it and hope it hold for a while. I’ll definitely be getting another for my camera safety

Not worth the price!
After much research, I purchased this monopod. It worked well for a few months then began sticking and squeaking. Since this was used mostly during the fall soccer season, it was stored away in its bag for about 6 months. The first time I used it during the following season, it fell apart. Lucky for me my camera was not attached. This thing literally ended up in 6 pieces – complete junk! Save your money. I bought a $20 Amazon monopod that has never fallen apart.

For the $$ it’s a decent starter monopod. Solid actually all around. My only gripe is the foot is either locked straight up or it’s just not providing any support. Unlike the manfroto one that is stiff but still tilts. This one locks upright or is free flowing.

First one I’ve ever owned and judging by the quality, it should last me for long time to come.LightweightVery smooth pan/tiltGreat leg design. They lock solid into place and fold up quickly.In one hand pull, you can unlock all leg locks. Easily retracts just as fast. Great portable design. To me, this is perfect because I don’t need to have a perfectly stabilized shot for what I’m using it for. As long as it’s relatively level, that’s mainly what I was looking for.

It’s cool.
I loved it for my Canon R6. It was sturdy, it fit in a tight spot that my tri-pod couldn’t manage….but it’s pretty heavy….I’m pleased.

Great Cheaper Alternative to Manfrotto and Benro
Works really well! I’ve used this for both photography and videography, and it passed both tests! The fluid head isn’t the greatest thing in the world, but it is still very smooth. The swivel is also smooth and I replicated some small dolly push-ins. Very sturdy as long as it’s not extended at all, obviously the more you extend it, the more unbalanced it gets. I highly recommend this monopod! It will be getting a thurough test in the coming months as I will be using for wedding videography.

a must have!
when you are in a hurry or are in a location with no room or a crowd this will make it a lot easier to get a steady shot or video it does have a light weight to it, but it’s well built and easy to handle a very good investment!

Good with one small flaw
I love this monopod all the things you expect it pretty much does. It’s stable it can stand on it’s own but I wouldn’t do that if you like the camera on it.Pros- The video head is high quality.- the tripod supports anything I put on it.- the feet are easy to operate and the latches hold well when closed. Twist style monopods tend to be more frustrating to mecons- So the biggest con is that when some of the lower columns are locked the others also lock because they lock so tight that it clams another tier of the tripod. It’s a little annoying but you get used to it.

Meets its advertised purpose great.
If you do a lot of shooting with a DSLR where you are moving around a lot but still need stabilized platform, this works. It is light and easy to move but not something you would put a camera on and walk away. You will always need one hand on it. The head was not that great for my use, I replaced it with a ball head so I bought it for the stand only. The head is for video but the stand is more for stills. So it is a mismatch. But once I replaced the head it was exactly what i needed.

Wish I bought it sooner
This has been an essential tool for my videography since I purchased it! No regrets, especially since it’s relatively cheap. My only observation is that since the feet are adjustable as well as removable, it’s difficult to keep it stable and fully screwed onto the monopod. When I try to adjust the movement of the feet, I end up unscrewing it and vice versa. It’s a little annoying, but it doesn’t degrade the use of the monopod. Once you get used to it, it’s manageable. And that’s the tiniest of flaws in an otherwise outstanding piece of equipment.

Better quality than expexted
I did not know what to expect for this price. I have to say its quality is pretty dam good. Good enough that i upgraded my tripod to one of theirs as well. Love the fact that the head comes off and connects to the feet for low angle shots.

Allen wrench doesn’t fit the QR plate
Over all it’s really nice and definitely recommend. The only thing though is the provided Allen wrench doesn’t fit to tighten the QR plate. But it fits the other small screws on the ball head. Screws I’ll probably never have a need to touch. The BF will never know one of he’s Allen wrench’s will soon be missing 😏 it’s lightweight enough to carry but I probably wouldn’t hike with it for long trips. My lenses add up enough as it is

I replaced my old monopod with this one because I liked how the feet detached to be used with the head, and I like how lightweight this is compared to my other monopod. Pans and tilts are very smooth, and it can support my camera rig which has quite a bit of weight to it. My one complaint is the Coman quick release plate is NOT compatible with Manfrotto 2″ slide clamps, such as the one on the Manfrotto 562B-1. The Coman is a 1 and 13/16th” slide clamp, so it’s 3/16″ too narrow to use with my Manfrotto clamps. Even when the clamps are fully tightened, the space is still 1/8″ too wide, so the plate will slide right off (see pictures). I’ve added a properly sized clamp to the Coman plate, instead of putting a camera directly on the Coman plate.

One of the Best Pieces of Gear I’ve Invested In
I’ll be honest, this is my first monopod, and I haven’t used any other brand of monopod before this one, so I can’t compare this to anything else. What I can say though is that it’s probably the most useful, quality pieces of gear that I own.The fluid head tilts and pans smoothly, making shot motions easy. The head itself isn’t very large, so it’s not heavy to carry around. And speaking of transportation, the carrying bag is very nice and the monopod fits snug in it.I was unsure what to expect, given that the price is around half of the other major brand monopods; rest assured, this monopod is solid and well-built. I’d recommend it to beginners and pros alike.

Overall a great piece to put in your collection
This mono pod is really great for on the go shoots and photos for stable shots. I found that the foot kept loosening when using to panning.I still found it to be a good pod.

Great for having a steady camera in low light settings.
I took the COMAN Monopod to the Grand Canyon and was very pleased with how I was able to shoot in evening and night natural light situations with a slow shutter speed without blurring. My only criticism is that it was a little shaky standing on it’s own. I was able to get great shots, but I was a little uncomfortable when I wasn’t holding it steady. Overall performance was very good. I do recommend it without reservation.

Broke first time I used it; camera became stuck took 3 to remove
Ok initially I gave this 5 stars until I used it. I thought it was a good purchase until I used it on professional shoot and no matter how many times I locked with the one of the three supplied Allen keys or the camera body would be stuck quick release button wouldn’t work took three pro photographers to disassemble and remove.

Great for quick setup
I bought this because I wanted speed in setup and I wanted to capture video quickly. The stability of the legs on the bottom could be better. It there is a lot of weight difference your camera could fall but in saying this you should not use this on a windy day. You can definitely use this outside but make sure it is stable before leaving it alone.For home use and putting the camera in small places it is a must. It is beneficial in getting the right height and quick framing. I love the fluid head for nice video capturing, nice turns. You will still need to do some post production for stabilization because as you move the fluid head side to side it is a little stiff but it does not render unusable footage.

Should have had this earlier.
This monopod is a quality product as advertised, packaged well and arriving on time. The unit is sturdy and the little extra weight is worth increased ruggedness. I have used the weight as a dampener for hand held shots. The feet extensions are longer and offer better stability – they do cover up the lower extension lock but easy to move out of the way. The extension locks are positive and fast without deforming the shaft. The fluid head is smooth and pan is great after tightening the head to the monopod. The case quality makes carrying and storing easy and fast. Would recommend and purchase again .

Excellent monopod, but some action is a little sticky
I felt this was an excellent budget choice for a monopod. I’ve used it for wedding videography. The action is a little sticky, specifically pan motion, but has loosened up to an appropriate drag over time. Tilt is fine and overall it is very balanced. The three feet on the bottom stabilize it very well and I trusted it to hold my DSLR unattended. The only true con was the nut on the bottom that keeps the three foot base tight would often come loose. I think if I put a rubber O ring there it would solve my problem. Overall though I would buy again.

Great for this price range; built solid, smooth panning action
I admit when I pulled it out of the box it was a bit heavier than I imagined, but that’s a good thing, the weight indicated a solid build and sturdy enough for a mirror less camera to shoot video. Granted, I still keep the camera strap around my neck for safety, but it’s balanced enough (depending on the ground beneath) to get almost rock steady results, with minor or no stability adjustments needed in post. Great for low light situations and economy budget.

Great monopod with a superb fluid head that works for both still and video cameras.
Just over 3 pounds, this monopod is slightly heavier than the carbon fiber model but with the same footprint and a fraction of the cost. It’s well built and sturdy.The fluid head is a video camera one, so the handle may get in the way. The handle comes unattached, so I kept it out – now I have a camera monopod head with the option to attach the handle and I now have a monopos video head!I am using this monopod with the Nikon P1000 to take rock steady photos with the 24mm to 3000mm zoom.The monopod fits into a well built case with carrying handle and a shoulder strap. It fits into my standard 22kg capacity suitcase for travel – It’s too long for a carry on though.Jeffrey A. (Jeff)
