商品はとても立派な紙のパッケージに入って届きました。箱の中に専用のケースに入った商品が入っています。４Ｋ画質のストリーミングカメラです。有線・無線の接続に対応しているので接続方法で困ることは無いと思います。ＯｓｂｏｔＳｔaｒｔというアプリでこのカメラの操作を行うことができます。アプリの使用にはメールアドレスが必要となります。このカメラを使用して最初に画質の良さに驚かされました。このカメラはＷＥＢカメラレベルではなくビデオカメラだと思います。とても繊細でクリアーな画質でとてもきれいです。f値1.8の明るいレンズなので室内撮影でもきれいでした。カメラの自動追尾機能などもあり一人で撮影する際にとても便利な機能が満載でした。ジェスチャーで録画や画面設定の変更ができる機能などもありとてもいいです。動作音もとても静かでモーター音などもしないです。本体底部にはカメラねじがついているのでミニ３脚を使用するとより安定して撮影が可能でした。少し値段のする商品ですが、しっかりした動画やストリーミングをしたい方にはこのくらいの商品は必要ではないかと思います。機能面、品質面とも大変満足しています。お勧めできる商品です。

Amazing for streaming with advanced AI tracking
The OBSBOT Tail Air Streaming Camera 4K is a very well made product that is great for anyone who makes video and requires features such as PTZ, 4K and sophisticated AI based tracking.The device is made out of high quality materials and made to be robust and durable. The PTZ features work great and due to the high quality CMOS sensor can record in great detail especially in good lighting situations however is still very good with poor lighting.The NDI feature allows you to connect the device to the network and is especially useful in multiple camera and professional setups.Using the accessory App or gestures allows total control of every aspect of recording remotely without having to interact with the device physically. Using professional level video software brings this camera to a new level compared to using web cams or other streaming video devices with far less resolution and features. The app does have some latency so a second or so may elapse before the command is accomplished.After using this for a few weeks I no longer use my phone for video creation or streaming however a downside is that the content can not be mastered in advanced video formats like HDR, Dolby Vision or HDR10+ which many higher end devices and mobiles can accomplish. Given the typical uses of this device those advanced formats are not a necessity however at the price of the device would have been welcomed.Overall this is a great quality product that has features making it useful in a wide variety of applications especially streaming.

The OBSBOT Tail Air is something that I can never leave without again
This review has been a roller coaster of praise, frustration, letdown and learning. Let me explain.The camera itself is beautiful. The hardware you get is above anything else I have personally ever used in this form factor. The servos are dead silent, smooth and robust. The glass elements are actually coated and optically are much better than anticipated. The 4K sensor, when used in good lighting conditions, offers great video quality. NDI support? RTSP? UVC? HDMI Out? It’s all there my friends, and after a few much needed firmware and software updates, they all work beautifully.The included travel case is a very nice touch, and has seen a ton of use for me personally. Battery life of the Tail Air is fantastic, giving me several hours of use before needing to be recharged, and that’s while using the built in WiFi streaming and full AI tracking with a lot of motion. The included USB-C splitter allows you to remain in wireless modes while being able to charge the camera from an external power source, which is great.Autofocus, initially, was awful. It was slow, hunted *all* *the* *time*, and never was able to actually maintain focus when using the tracking features. After several much needed firmware and software updates, I can say with confidence that those issues have been fixed. Autofocus now works brilliantly, being able to maintain focus on moving subjects, and no longer hunts once it locks on to a subject or object. AI tracking works well, being able to track my movements perfectly and consistently, and offers gesture controls that work well to zoom, change focus, and turn off and on motion tracking.NDI requires a license to be purchased for $130, and while scummy considering the device already costs upwards of $700CAD, does work well once activated. An Ethernet adapter is available to be purchased from OBSBOT should you need it as well for NDI functionality.The software suite for desktop PC’s has improved over the course of a few months. It offers pretty much everything you could ask for in terms of settings. Gimbal, tracking, AF, exposure, etc are all to be found in the desktop app, as well as the mobile companion app. Learning the interface is a bit of a curve, and the gestures take a while to get used to since detection is still spotty at times.Video quality is great. 4K30 even over wifi is great with low noise even in dark lighting conditions and pretty low latency. Wired through HDMI, NDI over ethernet or UVC results in near zero latency with a slight bump in video quality with reduced compression artifacts.I personally use the OBSBOT for conference calls, streaming, and general video calls. Its a camera that I can no longer live without thanks to the amount of features and granular control it offers, as well as the insanely well built hardware. The price is steep, but there isn’t anything like it out there at the moment, and I think its worth the investment.

・操作は慣れるまで苦戦しますが、全体的にわかりやすいアイコンが使われているので、1度使用すればどんな機能かの理解はしやすいです。・本体の重量が軽く持ち運びも便利で、環境が-10〜40℃と国内での使用は問題無さそうです。・充電時間は気付いたら終わっていたので正確性に掛けますが約2時間で、連続の使用時間も約2時間です。・会議やライブ配信などでは申し分ないのかと思いますが、価格や本体サイズから、もう少し倍率が欲しいなと思ってしまいます。・追跡はブレがなくスムーズな映像かと思います。・人であればかなり遠い場所でも追跡でき、被写体とカメラの間に障害物があっても再度、追跡をしてくれます。(運動会のような混み合った場所では試していません)・猫の場合、屋内の近距離撮影では追いきれませんが、ある程度距離の取れる屋外であればダッシュされても追えました。

Insane Quality and Tons of Options
This OBSBOT camera is absolutely insane with how high quality it is. Whether using it via the app on the phone or the program on the computer, it works really well. The image quality is incredibly high and you can see a ton of detail. I’ve been using it on the computer (with OBS) and it has been working flawlessly. If you’re using it via the program, there are so many options to tweak and refine the image to look great. The auto tracking is nice if you move around a lot. There are just so many options built into this one camera that it’s pretty unbelievable. I think the biggest downside is that it requires an SD card in order to update the firmware, so that can be pretty annoying if you don’t have a free SD card available.If you’re looking for a truly top tier webcam, this is the perfect choice. You’ll be able to tweak the image until you get exactly what you want. Highly recommended for any professional streamers.

Great ptz camera for the price
Connects via usb, HDMI, NDI, and wifi. Excellent tracking, clarity, image setting for different light options (cloudy, fluorescent, daylight, etc.), record directly to camera (microSD slot), battery power for mobile needs, no need for capture card for webcam/zoom/MS Teams (unless using HDMI). Highly recommend. My ratings are based on the flexible options for use – portable, webcam, HDMI for ATEM mini (or other switchers), NDI for remote/network options, wireless recording, etc.The remote is a convent addition for teaching/presenting can control ptz gimble, can start/stop record, start/stop tracking, and has a laser pointer.

Its like having an assistant. Kind of.
First of all let me say this may be the second or third review I’ve ever written here.This little camera is very well thought out. It’s not completely without supervision. The tracking of an individual and the framing of the individual can get out of sync. Having said that, other than keeping an eye on the monitor, on your phone to makw sure you subject has not wandered out of the frame, its pretty good. Shot an even tonight shooting stills, but the camera was setup on a light stand, did a credible job of filming the speakers. It did need some supervision to make sure it resynced with the speaker after they came back into the frame.All in all, highly recommended.

Worst customer support ever
This worked for exactly 1 day before it completely stopped working. I reached out to customer support. They responded at best once per day and they simply ghosted me 3 days ago. I now have a very expensive and completely useless paperweight. Can’t wait to return this to buy from another brand.

Today I’m reviewing the Obsbot Tail air,A quick unboxing and we see that you receive a quick start guide and warranty policy card as the paperwork.Obsbot does provide a nice zippered carrying case with a wrist strap. Inside the case we find a USB charge cable, USB-C to USB-A adapter as well as a dual-USB-C splitter.We’ll now do a quick walk around the Obsbot tail air. On the front are some status LEDs that show the battery level. As we turn it over, we find a 3.5mm headphone jack and one of the small internal mic ports. On the backside is the power button and USB-C port. On the next side we find the microSD slot and micro-HDMI port and the second internal mic. ON the bottom we have a dock connector and a standard quarter-twenty threads that can be used to mount this to a tripod.As I turn to the side you can see where the memory card goes. This does not come with one which is a disappointment considering the price of the camera, they should have given a small card so you could get up and running.There is a lot to light about the Obsbot air. It does track well, and the video quality is great. In my opinion the internal microphones are very tinny and I would highly recommend against using them if you have any other option. I personally use the 3.5mm jack with wireless lavaliers.Video/audio footage: I’m recording with a wireless lavalier, what I’m going to do now is unplug the lavalier to get back to the internal, and I think at this point it is recording with the internal microphone. A lavalier is not connected to the Obsbot air.The other major nightmare of this would be the microSD slot. It is impossible to push in without a small screwdriver or other tool.The hand gestures work fairly well. You make right angles with your thumb and pointer to zoom, make an ‘OKAY’ sign to start and stop recording. The one that did cause me problems is that when you hold your hand like a high-5, which is start or stop Tracking, there were times I would point something out like on wheel of fortune and it stopped tracking me. A bit of an inconvenience if you don’t catch it.Overall, this is a nice camera, but there are some shortcomings.I am rating this four out of five stars.Pros- Small and portable- AI tracking and hand controls work well- Great video quality (4k @30 fps)- USB-CCons- UVC mode requires reconfiguring the Tail air- Did not include memory card, so unusable out of the box- On board audio isn’t great for the price- Slowish charging at only 12-watts

My Honest Review
Let me start you out with wow just WOW. Not only is the Tail Air big but the quality is great. The features are ground breaking with NDI, Bluetooth, and enhanced tracking; as well as the standard features from OBSBOT. The Tail Air has up to 2.5 hrs of battery life so you can take you camera out and record out door and not be limited to your content. The tracking capability is off the charts it can track people, animals, and objects. The quality of it is amazing it can do 4k 30fps or 1080p 60fps. The build quality is great with easy access to plug in. The gestures I feel like is picked up much easier than the tiny 2 and that is refreshing. Seeing a company to go up and beyond the standards, as well as expanding the boundaries of streaming/content creation has me excited and hopeful for the future!Pros:-Bigger Display-Picture Quality-Remote Use-Good Mic-Enhanced AI-4k 30FPS

Upon unboxing the OBSBOT Tail Air NDI Streaming Camera 4K, the first thing that caught my attention was the sleek and compact design, which appeared both modern and robust. Gimmicky, poor instructions, does not track!
Initial impressions are this is a gimmicky camera. During the brief chance I have had to play with it the camera constantly loses the subject it is tracking (both near and far). Instructions are very poor and trying to select a subject to track seems to be difficult at times. I am by no means technologically challenged and am pretty good with other app based camera software but this software is lacking. Imagine and sound quality is decent and about what I would expect at this price point. So far I am disappointed in its performance overall. I will give it a few days and see if I can find some other tutorials to see if it will actually work as intended.

Not ready for prime time streaming -yet
Installed upside down for streaming church service. Upside down, it auto flips the up/down, but also auto mirrors three left right, so any writing becomes unlegible in the stream. Sometime at obsbot will fix this eventually, but it’s not ready yet.Also, logging into YouTube didn’t work and I could not reset the recording setup or re-login to YouTube.Obsbot needs to test these usage cases every time they release software.

The Obsbot Studio App doesn’t work!!!I bought 3!!! They do not work simultaneously unless it’s OBS or Yoloboxbut no zoom for the Tail Air app the app is garbage!!! and you can only stream with one camera at a time, even unless using a yolo box. There’s no zoom.

Buggy and not as advertised
The camera easily looses track of you. Video quality is similar to phone. Often goes nutty, points to the sky and LED tuns yellow. I rarele got more than 3 mins footage before it frooze up. Phone app also freezes often.Low light image quality is poor.It is o.k. for a cool webcam and has potential, but not currently good for reliable high quality video content.

Incredible addition to a content creator’s toolbag
This OBSBOT camera is truly an impressive piece of tech. It’s incredibly handy and could almost serve as a cameraman if used right. I don’t want to make this review incredibly long, so here’s a few things I want to put out there: battery life, picture quality, tracking, and interface.First off, one of the things I found very impressive with this camera is the battery life. I’ve been able to get HOURS of filming time at 4k on this thing, which is incredibly impressive, considering that I get less than that on my R6’s LPE9 batteries, and the fact that it’s also running a gimbal. The base of the camera houses the built in, non-replaceable battery, which can be charged at a decently fast clip using the USB-C port. I have not actually used the whole battery on this thing yet, but it has not died on me in any of the couple of studio sessions that I’ve done with it, using it on and off for a couple hours at a time. I would expect this thing to be completely capable of going for at least 2 hours continuously while on the go or on a location shoot. I’m sure it could do more but I don’t want to overshoot.The quality of the image on this camera is impressive for the size of the sensor and the size of the unit as a whole. Out of this camera, you can get totally usable footage that can be integrated as b-cam shots into a high production quality youtube video, or EASILY used as a stream camera, a secondary, if not your primary. It handles highlights pretty well and comes out with a nice balanced image. You can set the kelvin manually in the app, and manage some other exposure settings as well, which is nice. The zoom feature is useful but visibly degrades the output quality – not too much, but it’s noticeable if you are streaming or recording in 4k. Overall, I’m impressed. I will be using this in a ton of videos going forward. Sometimes it can struggle with nailing the white balance but if you’re color grading anyway, it’s not a huge deal. I have not used it outside but I don’t really see this as an outdoors camera, although it probably would work.Tracking on this camera is one of the things that makes it so unique. It is quite good at tracking people’s faces, and can be easily used to keep track of you on camera for teaching a class, streaming, or just recording videos in a larger space, or a space where you have to move from one workstation to another. I don’t use it in tracking mode too often but it definitely works well and is not a gimmick at all. I have another obsbot camera, the mini, which I use as a webcam, and has equally impressive tracking.User interface: with my webcam, Obsbot struggled a bit on software consistency and updates, but that was over a year ago, and now, it works just fine. Similarly, the app works pretty well. If you’ve got your camera in your wifi network, it connects pretty consistently, and is operable using the app. You can alternatively use the power button on the camera to either start recording or turn it on/off. All of the other controls for the camera must be done through the app. I don’t know if there’s a computer one, I assume there is, but I never checked. I don’t know if I’ll use it for streaming (this is a huge selling point) but I’m sure it will do great for that purpose. I use this thing mostly for recording a second angle in a typical 3-light studio setup.Overall, OBSBOT has done an excellent job putting this camera package together, and it’s always awesome to use this thing, pan it around, track a bit, and integrate it as a second angle. Micro SD is built right into the base, and it’s a little hard to put it in, or take it out, but it works. The magnet and tripod mount in the base are both extremely useful, and help make the camera more flexible. If you’ve got the money to spend, this camera is a great tool to have, and I think most people will be very happy with its performance.

Smart and versatile, a bit of a learning curve. Free app and streaming software.
I’ve been playing with this slick little camera for several days now, and it’s close to perfection. I’ll start with the negatives. Learning curve. The app is well designed, but the layout does not match the online manual. Many basic features are buried three levels deep, while others are duplicated. Face tracking is easily confused the closer you are to the camera. For example, about 18 inches away from me provides a surprisingly good wide-angle. But if I stand up quickly from my chair, the gimbal starts to hunt. If I use a hand gesture and the gesture is not recognized, the camera often starts tracking my hand. So you really need the app or software running so you can catch stuff like this.Hand gestures work about 75% of the time. They can’t be sloppy, and I have not been able to get a couple to work at all.Almost everything can be set, from going full auto to manual on the settings, tracking speed, three memorized positions and more. Cropping, zooming, tracking target. All can be set. For some reason the camera defaults to animal instead of human when recording me – maybe because I have a full beard? But if I use the app I can change it. It’s also worth noting that the camera can’t spin a full 360 degrees. There’s a hard stop – so it would go 359 degrees, then have to travel back to the start to continue. So plan your shots with that in mind.The video records 4K at an average of 98 mbps, so you have excellent quality when recording. Resolution can be set to 4K 30fps or 1080P at 60fps. This requires a class U3 micro-SD card.The camera has a micro-HDMI port for video output, USB-C for computer or accessories. For example, there’s a USB-C to Ethernet adapter. There’s also an external mic input.The computer software is easy to use and can work stand-alone or with your video / streaming software. I used the app on my phone forst to connect the camera to our network. Then I ran the PC software. When I tried to connect it told me to turn on my computer’s bluetooth. My PC does not have bluetooth. I hit “Esc” thinking that was it – I needed bluetooth. Nope – the software found the camera on the network, but there was never an indication that was an option.It also runs hot. I had the camera sitting on a book – the base hit about 108 degrees fahrenheit. So you want it on a surface that does not trap heat, or on a tripod/stand. When cameras run hot the battery life usually suffers.Included is a custom fit carry case, two USB adapters and a USB-C cable. The packing is all cardboard, no tons of plastic waste. I wish it had a lens cap, but I can 3D print one. I’d rate it 90 out of 100, and all my complaints are in the software or APP department, and I had to create an account online.

FINALLY! A Great Tracking solution
I’be been using OBSBOT cameras for a couple of years now. The smaller cameras work really well as a webcam that has some great internal tracking (digital). But it is a USB camera and only has one perspective.The TailAir is a game changing upgrade to their other models. The 4k signal is beautiful. And the Full PTZ control (either AI or manual) allows for great solo coverage while filming. I like to record tutorials, which often involve moving around. This camera is great for following around while keeping me centeredI think my favorite thing is the USB-C and HDMI outputs. That is a game changer. I can now put the camera into a switcher, like an Atem Mini – or plug it in as a webcam. I have great flexiblity to use it however I need.For what this does, it’s price really well. I highly recommend it.

One of the best tracking cams
This is one of the best tracking cameras I have ever used. It is a good sized camera unit that is very simple to get started using. You can use this with up to two more Obsbot tail air cameras for a full studio multi camera setup. Personally, the one camera is all that I need but it is nice to know that I can get more angles easily within the same ecosystem.The cameras tracking ability is amazing. It tracked me as I moved around the room. Even when I left out and came back in, it eventually found me again and resumed tracking without me needing to select a subject. If there are multiple people in the room and the original person being tracked is blocked, it will pick up tracking the other person. The tracking is not flawless but is better than a lot of other systems that I have used. The tracking almost looks like it is being handheld by a human as it is not overly smooth and robotic in motion.A major bonus is that it has an hdmi output, which allows me to record externally to my field recorder. I can save all my footage to an ssd drive with a larger storage media. The video specs on this camera are pretty good. Being able to record and stream up to 4K is a great option but I find that 1080p is typically more than enough for most things that I do.This is an amazing camera that I am slowly unfolding the layers of, and so far it has proven to be worth its cost.

Cool tech
I wouldn’t personally purchase a streaming/PC camera at this price when I could get a decent mobile camera for about the same but maybe I’m old school like that.I’m glad the camera came with directions as well as the easy-to-use app, it was definitely a new kind of technology that I haven’t ever used before. The motion tracking is really cool, I can see this being great for dynamic movement and action-like scenes, it’s definitely convenient in exchange for smooth panning camera shots.Would not recommend for buyers if they are primarily stationary.

An impressive camera with an impressive feature set!
I’m not sure where to start with this amazing camera! The gesture control works flawlessly. The motion tracking is so cool and easy to use by selecting the object to be tracked by drawing a box around it with the phone app.There are a lot of cool things that I have yet to explore but everything I’ve played with so far has worked so flawlessly that it’s unreal.The image quality is great and if you take it off of auto there’s some powerful manual controls that more experienced users will appreciate. Shutter speed and ISO work great and everything is super responsive.All I can really say is that this 4k camera is actually worth it and offers some invaluable features for the professional content creator and plenty of fun things to play with for the occasional video and picture taker too!The battery seems to last a good amount of time but has the ability to be powered from virtually any USB power bank/power brick. It even comes with a 2-in one-out adapter that allows for simultaneous power and data streaming.The included hardshell case provides excellent protection and storage for accessories. The whole package just has a premium look and feel and I am thoroughly impressed! I absolutely recommend this camera to anyone and everyone! Excellent job Obsbot!

Great camera for stationary installation
This camera is excellent when placed on a tripod and set up to track. The low-light performance is excellent, with no real pixelation or snow, and the color performance in good light is excellent. I am using the camera for tracking on video recording for my band, Wynter Kills, and it does a great job. I also have a hand-held gimbal that works very well, but this one is excellent for tracking shots where the camera doesn’t need to move.This would be the perfect camera for people who do video podcasts, as it will track your head and keep you where you want to be in the frame. The price might be a bit high for many people, but it is great if you need the quality that you get for the price.

Awesome tracking
I love this tracking camera! It’s so easy to use the hand gestures to turn on and off tracking. The camera works great and the picture is okay, but lighting is crucial for good video quality.I don’t specifically care for the app, but it works and I’m happy overall. Very Pricey But worth it
I am still sticker shocked on this item, but after opening it and using it, I have realized why it is what it’s priced at, and I must say you get what you pay for. I do a lot of streaming and video content and this has been a key camera in all of it since I got it. Instructions are very clear, and you’ll get use to it over time. If you do any type of video recording then you might want to check this out, as it will help you a lot.

WAY better image quality than I expected, even after watching YouTube reviews
I am still getting up to speed with this camera, as my little recording studio setup doubles as a zoom meeting space. But I can definitely give you an initial review based on how it is going so far. To give you a little context, I’m a lifetime photographer, and currently use multiple Canon DSLRs to shoot and stream video.First, let me give you a general comment on the picture quality. It is EXCELLENT. I’m puzzled, in fact, that the YouTube reviews I watched–at least five of them–didn’t really show the quality it is capable of producing. I’m not sure why that is, other than it’s a very different type of camera than most photographers currently use. And perhaps they were not working with ideal settings. There’s a fully manual mode, and in a studio setting, that is what you’d want to use. So perhaps that was the issue.So, let me move on to my personal impressions and the startup experience. You will need to supply a micro-SD card, as that does not come with the camera. I went with a Samsung 512 GB Pro Ultimate, just to make sure I’d gotten the largest and fastest compatible card. Those go for around forty bucks.Although you don’t need the SD card to download the Obsbot Start app, you WILL need the SD card to perform firmware updates. The unit I received prompted me to update twice, one right after the other. The first thing I noticed is that this resolved an issue I had noticed–that I could only get the device to charge to 95% initially. As soon as both firmware updates were installed, the battery meter showed 100%The app is definitely POLISHED. The image quality looks gorgeous streaming to my Samsung S22 Ultra. The app can auto-download new firmware updates, and prompt you to install them.The nomenclature on dialog boxes is a little unusual. You get two choices: DONE and CANCEL. “Done,” actually means “OK” in typical dialog box lingo, that is, when you click DONE it then performs the operation.I should mention before going much farther that the app is currently only offered on the Android platform. It’s one of those rare occasions where the typical situation is reversed. I’m not sure if they’re still working on Apple versions, but presently, it’s Android only. Moving on…Take some time to explore the icons on the left hand side of the screen, and you will find Auto/Manual modes, and a wide selection of modification tools. One protocol (NDI) must be licensed separately, but there are Micro HDMI, USB-C, Ethernet, and WiFi connections, plus RTMP, RTSP, and VISCA, protocols, for streaming to Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, etc.If you’re familiar with OBS, then you’ll be at home with the zoom presets, allowing you to use the full 4k sensor space to pre-crop “broadcast” shots.There is nice choice of tracking and zoom modes, as well as a set of gesture-based tools to control them. Check out the many long-form YouTube reviews to help you understand those. No need to reinvent that wheel here.Do keep in mind that busy backgrounds confuse the best of these, and while this camera tracks very impressively, I have not yet been able to fool it into misbehaving in a more controlled environment. That’s excellent for a camera of this price.The large sensor here really sets it apart from phone cams.For right at five hundred bucks, this isn’t just good. I’d say it’s the single most impressive tool for that price you could possibly find at this time.Long story short, if you know what this camera is and what it does, and you are in the market–BUY IT. I’m pretty picky, and despite some of the YouTube reviews that didn’t show its image quality in its best light, I can assure you as a guy who owns $3000+ DSLRs that you will not be disappointed in what this camera can do for 1/6th that much money…AND how specialized it is for small-to-no crew streaming.In short, a no brainer. Five Stars and Highly Recommended by me.

Perfection…
Talk about an absolutely amazing camera! The AI tracking is with 100% accuracy. Gesture control works amazingly well. No assembly required. Super easy to set up and get started. With HDMI, USB-C, and wireless, you can connect to virtually anything and everything. Picture is fantastically clear. They really paid attention to detail and convenience with this camera. 100% recommended and its worth every penny.

Top Notch 4K Streaming Camera
The media could not be loaded.
I have been waiting on a streaming camera that will let me have the freedom and versatility to stream my YouTube channel and stream the church service and I’m just amazed at the quality of the 4K resolution and I like that I can stream on multiple devices at the same time which is great for the church service. The AI tracking is so good and the different angles are pretty cool too and there’s so many options with it that makes it so easy and fun to use. The streaming app for this camera is really cool and it allows you to do so many things that make the video even better. I really like all the connection options like wireless and Ethernet or usb-c and etc. This is really one of the best streaming camera options on the market right now.

Amazing Piece of Technology
I didn’t know what to expect with the OBSBOT Tail Air 4K streaming camera, as the product claims to do a great many things, for a pretty amazing price. The auto tracking feature is the most important, and it works like a champ. You must use the app, which you get from the app store, either iPhone or Android. In setup mode, you select the how you want the camera to track, and if you want it to do the automatic director functions. You can also use your computer and use the OBS Studio, which gives much more detailed control. Unfortunately, to hook the camera up to your computer, you must use a USB-C splitter, that is included, and you plug one USB-C cable into wall-wart power (5VDC) and the other cable into your computer. I get that driving the tracking motors requires a bunch of power, more than most computers will put out of their USB ports, but using a splitter is just cheap. They should bite the bullet and put in two USB-C ports on the camera base, so a splitter doesn’t have to be used. The splitter is pretty small, so not losing it is another concern. I won’t take a star for it, but it should be corrected in future versions. The OBS Studio software is a huge improvement over the app, for controlling the camera, but the app is pretty solid too. My unit came with the latest firmware, which was a pleasant surprise. The first thing you should do when you receive it, is to check the firmware version and update it if is not the latest version. From what I have read, older firmware versions make this camera almost useless, but the latest versions will let you use all the features. One of the features that needs a little work is the automatic director feature, where the camera shoots in 4K, and then creates nine framed shots from the overall whole scene. An example is if you are working on something with your hands, and you have a few people around you, the camera will automatically divide up the framed shots to, as an example, a close up of each individual person, various groupings of people, detailed shot of whatever your hands are working on, cropped wide shot of the whole group, ETC. From my tests, I’d say that about half of the framed shots are worthwhile, but the AI decides on its own which ones to show when it is in automatic mode. Perhaps there is a way to exclude the unwanted framed shots from the lineup of views to display, but I didn’t find it. Going back to the tracking, it is very accurate, and faster than I imagined it would be. I used it to track a soccer ball, and when I was about 20 meters or further away, it did a great job tracking the motion of the ball, even if the ball is kicked hard. Anything closer, the ball would move faster than the tracking motors could follow, and the ball would leave the frame. That’s to be expected, but still, it did a good job when operating within the speed limits of the tracking motors. For tracking people walking or running, no problem, and even up close, it does a bang up job. I did not test the gesture control, as my time was limited for this review, but I have no doubt that it works, as I have seen others control this camera using gestures. All this power, for $500 is amazing. Even if you pay your camera dude $10 bucks an hour, just to do tracking shots, this camera pays for itself in 50 hours of shooting. Who can find a camera dude for $10/hour? Not me, so this camera would pay for itself even faster. If you are a content creator, who is short handed, but want to make professional video that makes it seem like you have a student level editor and director working on staff, then this camera will do the trick. The OBSBOT people seem committed to making great products, and while I’ve not really heard of them too much before, I can see why they are making a splash in the streaming camera space, for good reason. This camera would have been science fiction only ten years ago, and I give it Five Stars. Sure, there are some rough spots, but this was only released a few months ago, so I’ll give them some time to issue some updates, as they already have. There is ONE issue that will not be corrected by firmware, but it was a non-issue for me, and that is the noise of the tracking motors. If you are in a space with some white noise (fans, machines, talking, traffic, crowds, etc.) you will not notice the motor noise. If you are a dead silent room, the motors will be very noticeable. I didn’t find that the motor noise ended up in the shot video, even when shooting video in silence, so I imagine they have some kind of filtering software setup to ignore the motor noise, or maybe just good microphone insulation. Who knows, but that motor noise will never go away, and if you are used to only shooting with static cameras, then the PTZ camera tracking noise will take a bit of getting used to.Five Star Pan-Tilt-Zoom 4K Streaming Camera with AI Enabled Features

We ordered the camera as posted and then turned on the Team Viewer App to help use to monitor remote locations of interior homes we stay at and it worked like a charm ! Worth the extra to buy the Tail Air and enjoy all the quality built in features this little beauty can produce !

So small yet so powerful! Ideal ptz camera to have in your box of tricks on a live stream
I must admit I was unsure at first. I hadn’t come across Obsbot products in the past and all the sales information on the Tail Air almost seemed to be too good to be true. A full 4k30fps ptz camera that fits in the palm of your hand, has a built in battery, able to record, has NDI and AI tracking…. surely not.But in fact I was wrong! It is true and wow does it do it well.I bought the camera as a trial for work as we do streaming of live events from concerts to sports to corporate events and award ceremonies with the plan to put it in along side our usual cameras and give it a test not believing it could be as good as our more expensive PTZ cameras but surprisingly it not only matches them but beats them on a number of key areas.Yes it doesn’t have SDI output and only has micro HDMI out and USB C on the body of the camera so you find yourself having to use adapters but that’s a small price to pay for what had to be one of the smallest and most powerful PTZ cameras on the market. Coupled with its small size you have it’s inbuilt battery, NDI Hx3 and the ability to connect and control over WiFi which gives you a really powerful camera that is so handy to have in your box of tricks on a job.We’ve so far used it on conferences’ on the panel table giving us perfect shots of guests speaking during q&a, on stage as an audience camera where you could hardly see it in the corner of the stage, as a main lectern camera on an awards night and during sports presentations on pitch connected to an additional battery to give us over 6 hours of battery life to show presenters and guests live on the big screens in the ground where the battery and wireless NDI hx3 comes into its own as everything is fast paced and needs to be cleared from the pitch very quickly and a number of other events where we have struggled to wire or power any other camera or the director hasn’t wanted a big and ugly camera in shot.Overall I’m very, very impressed with its size, quality and overall usefulness out on jobs.If you are buying this camera on its own rather than as a bundle there are a few additional items you will have to pay for, which is something you need to bear in mind when looking at the purchase cost. Firstly you will have to pay extra for the NDI HX3 licence – the camera works perfectly fine without NDI but its worth purchasing especially if you use vmix or OBS. Secondly I would strongly advise getting the USB c to network adapter so you can use a wired connection as well as wireless for those jobs you csnt trust the wifi and thirdly for the complete set go for the Obsbot Remote as that makes it so quick and easy to get the camera up and running and in position on a job. You can control it via your phone and computer software like vmix etc… BUT sometimes it’s just easier to grab the remote and put the camera where it needs to be – just quick and simple and with the added bonus that 1 remote will control up to 3 cameras!Previously we have had the logitech mevo start 3 pack and a couple of go pro in our box of tricks for those times where you need those additional camera shots or small footprint but I think we are now looking to replace the mevo’a with Tail Airs as the mevo are only 1080p and a fixed shot where as the Tail Air are full ptz with tracking ability if needed – which is so much more useful in the box of tricks.Overall I’m so impressed by this little camera and cant recommend it enough – it really has opened up so many more creative ideas and workflows and we are looking at buying more as a company.

Die Tail Air von OBSBOT ist definitiv eine Top Kamera, auch wenn der Preis für einige eventuell zu hoch sein wird. Es gibt, aber auch gute Gründe wieso ich sie mir trotzdem geholt habe.Man hat hier alles,was man braucht. 4k 30fps und Gestensteuerung.Was die Kamera ausmacht ist aber, das sie drahtlos zum Streamen genutzt werden kann. Für jeden Content Creator ist das Gold wert. Man will öfters mal woanderst Aufnahmen und mit dieser Webcam ist das möglich.NDI Streaming ist auch möglich.Es kann auch eine Speicherkarte eingelegt werden und somit ohne Probleme jederzeit aufgenommen werden.Die Kamera sieht zwar groß aus,aber wiegt wenig.Dazu kommt, dass es noch eine schöne Box für den Transport dazu gibt.Über das OBSBOT Programm läßt sich alles einstellen. Hier werden auch dir Firmware Updates durchgeführt. Diese kommen Regelmäßig.Wer keinen PC hat,kann auch die App fürs Handy benutze!

Product that cannot be returned
The camera itself is not bad, but it is very far from the expectations that are based on its description. The price is also more or less reasonable. But here’s the problem. When you try to return the camera, Amazon says that 30 days after receiving it, they will return something or nothing at all after their assessment, which is unclear what it evaluates and how exactly, and the return transaction will take some time more. That is, after 6 weeks you will find out that you will not get your money back and your purchase will not be returned to you. This is an amateur situation. For example, I decided to keep the camera, although I am dissatisfied with it. I also decided to never buy expensive things on Amazon again.

Definitely doesn’t match all the Hype
This was truly a waste of $500 and after having to purchase a code online for $85 just to make it work properly. This was a waste if I could return it I would definitely return it never again when I waste my money on something like this my iPhone does a better job . Don’t waste your money buying it.

It doesn’t work
This product is trying to be something it cannot. It is inexpensive and doesn’t perform well due to software issues. The tracking does seem to work okay, but there are larger cameras that do the same thing, at the same price that will work better for you. My two units went straight back to Amazon for refund.

Cute and Effective Gizmo
This tracking camera allows you a way to stream or record with a head that pans and tilts to follow your movements. It’s advertised as being A.I., which refers to a plethora of intuitive feature sets that responds to human gestures instead of pressing a bunch of buttons or dials. This is the way cameras are going these days. Instead of constantly repositioning angles with DSLRs or mirrorless cameras, A.I. will automate them for a more fluid look and feel in the footage. There are virtually too many features to list, making it over engineered, and imperative for you to research more for your own specific use cases.This is a cute gizmo to have with a steep price point. The gesture control takes some getting used to, especially making the shape of an L, which is not too complimentary–at least in the U.S. There is no screen, because your phone or an external monitor becomes the screen.The picture comes out sharp, but better for closer up action with good lighting as opposed to seminars. I’d also think it’s best to keep this camera on a flat surface. I’m not saying you’d roll it down a hill, but I think it would work best as a stationary computer camera not a vlogging camera. The audio is okay but a little tinny, but you can attach an external mic to refine it.My only concern is that I have not had a camera like this before, so there’s no basis for comparison. As a corollary to this, I don’t know if this device will quickly move to obsolescence when the next advances in A.I. tracking innovation.

impressive AI tracking
Bascially this is the most intelligent and accurate auto AI tracking I have ever used. It is just like a real person following you to do the shooting.The overall build quality is premium, feels very nice in hand and the whole thing just looks luxurious.The f1.8 aperture and the low-density sensor help a lot in the dark scenes and overall it still looks good without too much noise.There are some things I don’t really like though. The micro-HDMI port just looks like a micro-USB port, I’m worrying about inserting a micro-USB cable accidentally and then breaking the port someday. Ideally, there should be some labels next to the ports.And I also don’t really like the dynamic range the sensor provides. Neither the description nor the website specs mention the color bit depth as well as the dynamic range. There is an option for the camera to shoot in HDR mode though, I don’t find it helps much.Overall this is the most impressive product among their products, and it helps a lot when doing the live streaming without a team. If your main job is doing the steaming, then i would highly recommend it.

Tiny
This camera is so tiny. The resolution is great and the gesture control works remarkably well. The tracking is spot on with brisk movement. No tissues with it straying to other people when I have tracking me. I thought it was a bit much for this cam but after using it an connecting to the app with no issue, this cam has proven itself as a feature rich recording machine. I was unable to update it out of the box as I had no memory card in it. One drawback is a camera at this price point should definitely include a SD card of any size.

Make a Nice addition to My Camera bag
I have an action camera, a Mirroless full sensor camera, a phone camera and now this streaming with tracking OBSBOT camera to add to my collection that I use for personal projects and paid projects. I am surprised at how well it tracks me when I move and the hands gesture are great to have, you can buy an optional remote also. The design is very well made as the packaging it looks very professional and has good optics it can film in 4K, I don’t use video in lower quality than that. The port collection is well rounded and I can plug an external microphone even if it has an internal one but I prefer the audio from my wireless mic that works perfectly with the camera. So it uses an internal battery that you recharge using the USB C port so you can go outside with this device with no need for a power cable. It can be used in so many ways, like live streaming at a church, sports events, concert and so much more. The low-light performance is good so that is important for low-light situations, but good lighting will always produce better video. I downloaded the app on my iPhone but I like to use it on my iPad because I can film and see myself on a bigger screen. Very happy to have this new camera in my kit so I can expend the way a shoot video.

Programmable Presets Easily Enhances Video Productions

The 4k ObsBot Tail Air PTZ camera is a product that excited me so much, that since it’s arrival I’ve been unable to put it down! I put the camera through a series of test with each one passing with flying colors. I’ve provided a photo of outdoor Low light photography that won me over hands down. The clip I also provided is under low light conditions with the automatic focus enabled which performed well under those conditions. The clip demonstrates several presets I can program with the click of a button & additionally demonstrates the high quality audio via the ObsBot Tail Air’s audio input jack when using a bluetooth wireless lapel microphone. The video your viewing was captured through the Tail Air’s mini HDMI to a USB 3.0 capture card, then onwards to OBS studio, which all performed exceptionally well. The camera combined with the app & the remote control has many cool functions & features for independent producers such as myself to take advantage of that will definitely increase my audience’s enjoyment. The 4k ObsBot Tail Air PTZ camera is a must have for all independent producers without a huge production team behind them who are looking to improve the quality of their productions.

自動追尾機能付きカメラというカテゴリでしょうか？まずは肝心な録画画質。4K画質は流石に細かいところまで綺麗に写してくれます。デフォルトではやや暗いかなという気はするので明るさを若干あげてやれば問題なし。自動追尾も人であったり、自分で四角で囲んだものだったりなんでも追尾してくれますね。さらにモーションを指定することで自動的にズームしたらパンさせたりワンタッチでカメラを動かすこともできます。追尾機能はスピードも早く普通の人なら画角から外れないように追尾してくれます。最速にすると180度回転が1秒ということなのでよほど近くで横切らない限りは追ってくれそう。10メートルとか離れても何事もなく追尾を継続してくれるのでカメラ固定で何かを説明するときに左右上下にある程度動いても問題ないです。屋外に持ち出すと本体だけだと低い位置での撮影になるので三脚があると良いですね。本体重量は700gほどあるので重さのある三脚でしっかり支えたいところです。高いカメラですからね。撮影した動画とか載せたいけど自分が写っているので難しい。何か機能を表現できるものを撮ってからまた更新するかも。

Great quality camera
The price of this camera may well put you off as it seems steep, however if you compare it to buying a decent quality gimbal and a new phone with 4k camera or other camera then it’s actually not too bad.The build quality and materials used are fantastic, the app is easy to download and sign up is quick.The instruction manual is pretty useless, but there’s links to online manuals and video instructions so setting up is pretty simple.The picture quality is great and sound’s good too if you are going to use the onboard mic.The app allows you to control the gimbal, set up preset areas and choose where you are streaming to, or onto a memory card.The object/face tracking on this is fairly impressive, handling everything but the fastest movement when close to the camera.I haven’t used this for sports or action recording (skateboarding etc) so don’t know if it would handle the movement, although I think the wider angle you’d be recording from should make it ok.Ideal to stream to youtube, or just record onto a memory card for editing and uploading later.Really easy to use, quite versatile for connecting and comes with cable to charge the onboard battery.The battery life isn’t anything to write home about, you’ll get a couple of hours out of it if you’re lucky but you can use a power bank if you’re recording for any longer than that so not a dealbreaker.Overall it’s a fantastic looking bit of kit, really great quality both in build and picture quality and it’s compact footprint means it takes up less desk space than most vlogging/streaming set ups.If you are wanting to use it in a portable fashion, the little carry case it comes in is great too.

今まで動画はカメラにジンバルを付けて撮影していましたが、こちらはジンバル搭載のためこれだけで済みます。さらにAIで人や物を追尾撮影することが可能。ジェスチャーコントロールが出来るため、手のひらをパーにしてカメラに向ければロックオン。3脚でもプロが撮影してくれているかのように滑らかな動きでずっと追尾してくれます。人差し指と親指でLを作って上に動かすとズームイン、下に動かすとズームアウト。こちらも滑らかな動きです。OKマークをすれば録画開始、停止。4K30フレームで撮影しましたが、画質の良さに大満足です。もう手持ちのジンバルも4Kカメラも不要。これだけあれば良くなりました。素晴らしいスペックです。

使用してみてまず、感じたのが、ものすごい技術力だなと。オートフレーミング機能などはもちろん、iPhoneとの接続でフォーカスをする人間も決められたりなどもうすごすぎる。監視カメラとしてもいいですし、普通にLive用カメラとしてもいい！また、撮影用カメラとしても使えます！三脚にネジがあればそれにも対応して付けられるのでマジで何にでも使える最高機能カメラですね。

Record to SD card (not included), or direct to your online apps. Clear recording of talk overs, background and foreground sounds. Very versatile as it can used on any flat surface, being stable, and taken outside, urban or country settings using available flat surfaces, or a tripod, or even a selfie-stick.
