    Superb & Seemless Sound Setup

Gave it as a christmas present to my dad and I love how easy it was for us to set up and sync the sound bar and subwoofer. Like magic…Sound is mostly crisp but I think vocals performed the worst which isn’tbad in the grand scheme but compared to effects just not as good.. Subwoofer is great though! All in all didn’t regret the buy!

Great Product! Runs a pinch small

I love it! This was an upgrade from my 5 speaker system with a receiver. Only thing is that it runs a bit small and it isn’t as loud. Maybe I’m going deaf! Haha either way I love the sound quality.

    Great sound

Setup wasn’t that bad. Takes about 20 minutes. Had to call Polk for questions and they were very helpful. My living room is 16 x 16. Perfect for that size and could handle much larger. I would recommend and buy again if needed.

Polk Audio just kicks butt, still.

Way back in the 1980’s my first higher end speakers were Polk Audio; I was the envy of all because my stereo was simply head and shoulders above those who had spent more money on their systems because of the quality of the speakers. The trend continues to this day. I bought the S2 as a gift for my apartment mate for him to use for his bedroom TV… it was immediately moved to the living room once it was realized how it the put living room’s high-end TV’s sound to shame. The S2 is impressive for its size and price. The clarity is impressive, and I’m a bit of an audiophile. I can only imagine of how the higher end Polk Audio systems sound…future purchase pending 🙂

There’s a lot to like here. Really solid speaker system, I just wish that there were tone/EQ controls.

    Superb Sound

I have tried almost all under $500 sound bars for my 65″ 4K UHD Samsung Smart TV. For my bedroom I have an under $100 Sony S100F 2ch soundbar without subwoofer. This delivers excellent performance for dialog as I mostly watch news in the bedroom. I have the same TV in my living room where I want strong performance for dialog (news and in TV shows and movies), TV, movies, and classical music. Nothing I tried could give me the quality I wanted in each category. Then I discovered Polk. If you play around with the controls and then remember the settings you like, this soundbar and subwoofer will deliver precise dialog, plenty of bass for movies and even very high quality classical music (which I stream from YouTube). Two highly useful features are the ability to choose one of three settings for dialog and to separately control the bass volume. This gives you more control of the output than any other soundbar I have tried. The system is a bit glitchy. Occasionally it won’t turn off when you turn off the TV and other minor glitches, but all can be fixed in a moment. The bar and subwoofer are very nice looking and not too many annoying lights. One last very important note: This is a 3 channel soundbar which is essential to have good dialog. Also, do not waste your time with Bluetooth or optical. Get an HDMI(arc) cable and use that. The HDMI(arc) cable is what allows the TV remote to turn the Polk on and off and it delivers the best sound. I love this soundbar and subwoofer. It’s a keeper for me.

Nice and excellent sound, full recommended

Sound and quality really good, but it was not included the power wire for the subwoofer, i had to buy it in an Electric store locally, Polk audio does worth it, sound like a Bose, no differences

    Bang for buck!

I bought this taking advantage of the season since I was looking for something to replace an old Sony setup I’d been using for years. I wanted something simple and easy to setup but that would also give me good sound and decent volume. To those wanting to know if this speaker gets loud: YES. It can get louder than you might want to have it and and with not much distortion either. It’s actually quite amazing to me how so much sound can come from just a slim bar like this. The bass from the sub is good too, not amazing, but to me it’s enough. The best aspect about this system is the fact that the remote has a button for actually raising and lowering the level of bass. This is a definite plus to me and I’m glad that it has it. Bluetooth sound from this speaker is also good, nothing adverse to report here either, just what I’m looking for. Now, onto the setup aspect of this system. The speaker comes with just a quick setup guide for getting started, the remote, an HDMI cable AND an optical digital cable, as well as a template for doing the wall mount. I didn’t really need the template because all you have to do is measure the distance from the holes in the back of the speaker and make sure they’re level when marking on the wall. But I’m glad it’s also included. At first I didn’t use the HDMI cable connection, just the digital optical and in doing that, I wasn’t getting any sound from from my TV. So after connecting the recommended HDMI input to the speaker, was I able to get the sound as well from my TV. The best thing about this is that I’m able to use my TV remote to raise and lower the volume and see the level on screen, I enjoyed that detail. So it just works like a charm, and once the HDMI input is connected, all the channels on my Roku TV output sound through the speaker. So, this is a pretty easy speaker to setup, since the sub is also paired to the bar and I personally didn’t have to do anything to get the sub working with the speaker. Just plug both into the outlet and you’re done. The only little nit to pick with this speaker is the fact that once it’s connected to my TV, it always comes on when I turn on the TV, which is something I’d rather not have happen. Problem is that if I turn off the speaker while just watching through the TV’s speakers, after turning the TV off, the speaker will turn itself back on using the current through the HDMI cable. Of course all you have to do is shut the speaker off again, but it’s a little annoying. And of course, you can just unplug the cable from the HDMI input if you don’t want the speaker to come on with the TV.But in all actuality, I’m very happy with this speaker setup and I can’t believe how nice it sounds for the price. Of course, there are better options out there, but this will get the job done for 95% of the people who buy it, and you can’t go wrong with that. I recommend this to anyone who needs something simple, attractive, easy to use and set up, with good sound for movies and music. I’m only taking one star away just for the fact that I wish it would stay off until I turn it on myself and not when switching on the TV. My honest rating would be 4.5 stars, I love this thing!

    Great product minus small detail

The bluetooth connected instantly, I’m not eve sure if I had to do anything beyond plugging in power cords and HDMI cable. That was a huge plus over the JBLs I had that sounded great but would constantly disconnect… I finally got rid of them. The sound is excellent, especially for the price, and we have a large family room with 25+ foot ceiling. The only negative is that they are set up to attach to the wall only, whereas I wanted them under the TV using the universal bracket system I have. After much tinkering I made it work using the right size bolts., washers, nuts. Now it sounds great AND looks great!

    Good sound, plug and play!

I bought this as the TV in my bedroom, a 50in TCL Roku TV, developed crackly sound like the speaker cone was blown out.Really good for a smaller room. Bass from the sub has some punch. Nothing that you would feel but it does add some nice range to the audio.I’m getting audio from HDMI VIA ARC. Control of the volume VIA CEC on my TV works perfectly! I can use the TV remote to turn the TV and soundbar on and off at the same time. Volume controls on the TV remote also control soundbar volume. Didn’t even have to configure anything. Completely plug and play! This would be 5 stars, but I feel at it’s normal price, it’s a tad expensive. There do seem to be some really nice options, some giving you more speakers than this soundbar’s 2, for less money. I think they’re playing on brand recognition here. I got it on sale for less than $200. At that price, I feel you can’t beat this.

    Best deal on Amazon

I purchased a Polk Sound Bar about 8 yrs ago. It had tremendous sound/bass but every once in a while it’d make a noticeable “Pop” noise when something like a snare drum hit or maybe a golf ball strike happened. They sent me a replacement bar that solved the issue. Fast forward to 11-15-23: We purchased another wide 63″ tv (to replace failing old one) that had an HDMI eARC input for sound bars. Our existing sound bar didn’t have that so we purchased this Polk Audio Ultra-Slim Soundbar equipped with a HDMI eARC output so that we could FINALLY control everything with ONE remote. The sound is incredible to the point where guests ask about when it’s on. Deep rich bass, even when the volume is low and perfect for watching streamed movies. We put the older Polk out in the patio pool area and it’s great for parties….deep rich sound at low levels is important to me…..and only having to use one remote means no more “Where’s the other remote?” syndrome.

    Very loud

These are very loud and the sound is really good but it just wasn’t enough deep bass for me. I’m not sure if that’s because I got the lower model and if the higher end models from this company may have more bass, but this one just wasn’t what I was looking for. It did have decent bass though and I can feel it a little bit from upstairs but when I’m downstairs near the speakers, I don’t really feel it. But sound is very good and definitely an upgrade from the tv speakers.

Overall a very good SOUNDbar, 7 drivers, 3.2.1 channels – just some small personal cons

I have a good TV, 9 years old, by the leader in TV picture quality, and I recently lost a LG soundbar/sub-woofer I initially had with another set, so at first I bought a matching soundbar to my old 9 year-oldTV . . . granted, just the name adds to the price, but once I got it, I was truly not impressed – it was only 2.1 channels, with literally 2 drivers in the actual soundbar – these are call SOUNDbars, correct? . . . and not add-on speakerbars? So, I decided to return them (thank you oh great Zon!), and spend some more money, but not over 3 bills (as you can see, you can find soundbars here for over a grand – it’s for TV sound, correct . . . not a high-fidelity amp), get a center channel, and as many drivers as I could, since it’s a SOUNDbarNote: not getting a sub-woofer with any soundbar was never an option, as others have said here, without a sub-woofer, why even get a soundbar?Brief history, I have had POLK for decades, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, for all my indoor and outdoor audio – they sound great and have lasted me forever, so I said to myself: why not buy a soundbar made by a speaker company and not a TV company – makes perfect sense, no?Thus, I chose these – the Polk Audio Signa S4:Pros– They have a total 7 drivers (physical speakers), and it is a 3.2.1 setup: 3 front channels (left, right and center), then 2 up facing left and right channels and a low frequency sub-woofer channel– now that is a SOUNDbar- You can customize the voice and woofer, the rest is via presets – music, movie or nighttime- It’s longer than most soundbars here, just over 41 inches (which may also be a con for some of you?)- It paired with my phone via Bluetooth seamlessly (it appears most speakers in this price range do that)- It came with everything, including a HDMI eARC cable, which is the required hookup for Dolby sound from say your Blu-ray player- Big deal for me – when hooked up with the eARC, the sound bar goes both off/on with the TV, and you increase/decrease the sound with your master TV remote – NICE!- Very easy to hookup – it was playing before I got back around to the front of the TV after I plugged in the soundbar and moved the TV table back in place – and the sub-woofer synced- It sounds very nice and full – you can pull out the voice too, if need be, via 3 setting on the remoteCons- This soundbar, and most other in this price range, has no front display – which I think is a real shame – it has a series of 4 front facing lights, that respond in an order, and color, based up what you press on the remote – yuck – looks cheap after spending 3 bills on it- What, no sports preset . . . isn’t that what most dudes buy a soundbar for, to go with their 2000 inch TV, for when they primarily use it to watch sports – how will hear what Rodgers says to his receivers when they run the wrong route?– thus, I have to gig you one star for those two somewhat important personal consBased upon my requirements for a SOUNDbar, the max price I wanted to pay, and being able to live with the two personal cons for me, I am very happy with the S4, and plan to keep it/not send it back to the great and wonderful ZONHope this helps someone else shopping for a new soundbar with the same requirementsNote: I just bought this a week-ish ago, on 1/30-ish/23, and it was under 3 bills, but is now over that by $29/just under 10% – ??? – don’t most items here go down over time – if it was that price when I was looking to replace my first purchase, I would have never even looked at it, since my requirement was that I wanted to only pay 3 bills max (plus of course the damn state sales tax!)

Great quality and a very crisp sound

I was skeptical seeing a Polk soundbar being priced so low, but I’m happy I ended up purchasing it. I toggle between the 3 voice adjustments depending on what I’m watching. I saw comments on the remote, so set it up to where it is controlled with my Apple TV remote automatically. I still use the original remote for voice adjustments and I haven’t experienced any issues with it

Great Atmos sound in a budget soundbar

I bought this for my bedroom, without having side speakers my expectations were low compared to my other Atmos soundbar that does. I was amazed at how good the sound was coming from the sides and behind me. I’ve owned a few different brands over the past few years and for $400 this is an exceptional purchase, if it’s on sale it has to be at the top of your list.

    Sleep mode is annoying

To fix (disable) the sleep mode, hold the moon button on the remote for several seconds. You’ll see the LED on the soundbar change and *presto-chango* it won’t go to sleep anymore.Aside from that, I love it. This replaced my 15+ year old 5.1 surround system and receiver. I never used the surround channels anyways. This was the first step in minimizing my entertainment center footprint.

I was not looking to buy something different but took a risk and it paid off. The bass that comes out of the sub woofer is incredible. For this price point this Polk system greatly exceeded my expectations. It was easy to hook up had good directions and it integrated very well with my lg television and Apple TV.

Unbelievable sound from a sound bar!!

GREAT sounds!! Does NOT sound like a sound bar. Polk hit it out of the park with this one! With ours, just one con; when it sits on a series of movies that are of low volume the bar will turn itself off. To us, this is a trade-off acceptable trade-off. We are older and harder of hearing (although a bit more patient than in the past) but good SOUND QUALITY does come through and, to us, it is well worth the “trouble” of turning it back on. To us, this is a electrical “quirk” that we can deal with.

    Excellent sound

Clear sound. Decent amount of bass for it’s size. Changing modes from voice to music to movies to nighttime is very effective. The sloped top front allows placement directly under a wall mounted TV without interfering with the TV’s receiver, and be able to hide all the wires. It would have been great if it had slots on the top backside to allow cables to pass thru so the unit could be placed directly against the wall.

    Quality Voice

I am an over 70 senior with some hearing loss who has been reading about home theater (and owing budget systems )for 40 yearsI have owned other Polk speakers. This bar replaces 3 small Polks and a aging receiver. Dolby atmos, speechassist and easy operation for my wife are all pluses. High quality sound is critical for movies and music. Polk only makes speakers They know how to make audio sound great at any price range. This bar and the sub blend seamlessly . After a few days of using the bar it has become invisible as a sound source . I look forwardto watching my movies with Polks “Quality Voice”

    Nice for the price

We purchased this to replace an older Polk sound bar. The sound quality isn’t near what the older one is but for the price it is decent. My only complaint is that the volume on the remote flips/jumps. When you press the button, sometimes it goes up 1-2 and sometimes 5-6. It is hard to regulate the sound given the remote issue.

Perfect Upgrade for “tinny” TV speakers

A few nights ago, we heard a distinct “pop” when one of the speakers on our 55″ LG tv took a dump – the resulting sound was less than adequate. Got this Polk sound bar and wireless subwoofer as a work-around and couldn’t be happier. The setup was quick and painless. I used a high-quality HDMI cable I already had lying around and everything worked as described by others…. there was a short lag as the system pushed the sound through the system – maybe 5 seconds or so – and we were in business. I spent a few minutes tweaking the subwoofer settings to our liking, and we enjoyed Game One of the World Series all evening. The room is approx. 15′ x 20′. I placed the subwoofer in a corner facing the TV, out of sight. The difference was like night and day. Haven’t used the Bluetooth yet, but momma likes to rock and roll while doing housework or in the kitchen so I’ll try it later. For now, we are deliriously happy with the purchase. Get one, follow the easy setup instructions, and you’ll be rocking the sound from your TV in short order – highly recommended!Edit to Add : Tried the Bluetooth function a few days ago by pressing the BT icon on the top of the sound bar, then paired it with my iPhone. I opened the SIRIUS XM app on my phone, tuned into the wifey’s favorite Classic Rock station, and cranked it up while she cleaned house before company arrived. The jams filled the family room with Led Zeppelin, and she was rockin’ in no time. This was just icing on the proverbial sound bar cake – more than pleased with this purchase.

I’m blown away yet one flaw

I got tired of how much room my Klipsh home stereo was taking with its tower speakers and 15” subs. So opted for this with the expectation of being disappointed after having the pleasure of a three thousand dollar set up.Of course it’s not the same. But I am absolutely blown away by the punch and clarity and decibel it produces. Only wish I could add an additional sub. Seems like such an over looked option when they designed it. Other then that, Polk delivered the same quality if not better then they offered 40 years ago when I was a kid shoving their over sized subs in the trunk of my beater car that vibrated my bumper loose.

    First sound bar… sigma 4

This is my first sound bar. I am pleasantly surprised. I went for a budget for this first one. Previously I had a full component system, tower speakers surround sound, the works. Needless to say it was too old and way too big for my lifestyle now. This sound bar is fantastic for the money. It hides in plain sight if you can believe it.For the quality, I went through several demo videos to get the atmos experience and I got it. I had to increase the volume a bit to get the full effect, but I could hear it. The setup was so simple. I had no issues with cables being incompatible like I had seen in other reviews. The subwoofer connected instantly and reconnected after I relocated in an attempt to optimize its position. I do wish the bass would hit a bit more, but I am not upset that it doesn’t.Overall this is great and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

    Great sound

It’s been over a year since I purchased this sound bar and I have been blown away by it. I first had a larger sound bar which was more expensive and more powerful but I could never find a happy medium. It was either too quiet or overbearing with boomy bass and sharp highs. No knock to that sound bar, it’s just obvious that system was designed for a larger room. But with that, I tried this polk sound bar that was a quite a bit less powerful and it has been perfect. The bedroom I have is about 10ft wide by 15ft long and the sound is powerful and clear without being too boomy or sharp. It can play loud or quiet in that room and it always is an enjoyable experience. For the size and weight of this system, I am very impressed with how loud it can play and the low frequencies the sub can produce for being so light. I would say it’s at least 1/2 or even a 1/3rd of the weight the previous sub was. Overall, this system works very well in a small room. Its clarity and bass is well beyond’s its size. I am not sure I would want this in a living room or a larger space as it may not have the oomph, but for a bedroom it is stellar.

Sounds much better than my TV

This thing is awesome. TV sounds so much better now. Bass is excellent, spotify also great on bluetooth. Sound is clear and you can get it quite loud if you want.My only complaint is the remote is a little sluggish. Sometimes have to press a couple of times and point it directly at the sound bar for it to register. Using the battery that came with it… it could be that it’s just low on juice. This isn’t an issue very often because I’m using the eARC HDMI output from my TV which means my TV remote can control volume on the sound bar. Hardly ever need to use the sound bar remote because of this, so it’s not a big deal.

Good, clean bass, muddy highs, better in smaller rooms

First, let me start by saying that I am not comparing this sound bar to anything high-end. I’ve had the high-end systems from Klipsch, Bose, Denon, etc. and fully appreciate good sound. When we moved to our current home six years ago, it just wasn’t practical to run all those wires with our setups, so I sacrificed a lot of quality for simplicity and ease of installation and went with Visio sound bars for both our living room and master. We got a 5.1 setup for the living room and a 2.1 for the bedroom. While nothing like my previous Klipsch system, they both had decent sound and we’ve been happy with them.Fast-forward to now; our bedroom bar started acting up so I decided to buy a new one. I figured since our current six year old 2.1ch Visio bar sounded great I’d get similar results from this Polk 2.1ch system; I was wrong. The Visio has always impressed me in that with only the 2 channels I often felt like sounds were coming from points in the room far beyond the bar, making me think we had additional speakers. I have no idea how it did this, but I felt like the sounds and vocals were clear, crisp, and vibrant, with a wide sound stage. Bass was equally full, deep, and rich; everything just sounded good, at any volume level. While the Polk bar has excellent bass which fills the room and sounds equally rich, it lacks clarity on the high-end frequencies and sounds muddy. Voices sound somewhat ‘tin can’-ish. There is very little noticeable channel separation and everything sounds rather blah; you can’t hear much detail. The remote does have a number of different preset audio settings, including 3 different voice-enhancement modes, but none of them really make the bar sound good. There’s no treble adjustment at all. While the voice enhancement settings do help bring out the vocal track, it still has an un-natural sound quality to it. It’s especially bad at lower volume levels. While the bar brings a good bit of power and fullness to the lower-end bass, the mids and highs are about as bad as our TVs built-in speakers. The sound is slightly better if you’re sitting very close to the TV, but gets much worse if you’re farther away. Our bedroom is fairly large and it just does not sound good in that room. It may be acceptable at best in a smaller room. The good things about it are HDMI connectivity with CEC control, so the TV controls the sound bar perfectly. Bar is easy to mount and includes all cables, although power cords are very short. We are likely going to return this one and get something more expensive in hopes of getting one that sounds as good or better than what we had. My parents have the Samsung 5.1ch sound bar and it sound amazing, so that might be a good option, but is twice the price. I’m willing to pay more for good sound.Bottom line for me is that I wouldn’t recommend this one. Although Polk is a solid, trusted brand, this particular product just doesn’t live up to the name.Update 2/5/2021We decided to keep the sound bar, but moved it to our smaller flex room, which has hardwood floors. In that room the sound bar actually doesn’t sound half bad due to the acoustics of the space and that the room is so much smaller. For our master we ended up buying the Samsung HWQ60T 51ch Soundbar with 3D Surround Sound and Acoustic Beam 2020 Black. This system blows the Polk away but of course it’s three times the price. It is much better suited for the larger room. The Samsung also has that vibrant, detailed, and expansive sound we were looking for.I’m upgrading my rating from 3 to 4 stars because the Polk sound bar, when used in a smaller space, sounds quite given the price point. I wouldn’t recommend it for larger rooms.

Good sound separation clear needs a game mode

The sound is clear with good separation. I usually get Dolby digital watching TV and 7.1 pcm playing Xbox. I put the sub behind me for a better surround sound. Night mode works well I can still hear detail at a reasonable volume. The sub works I get a nice rumble when rocks fall or theirs a waterfall. I have a small room so the sub is more then enough for me. I think this would be fine in a living room as well. Since my room is so small every sound bar I’ve owned has been a little over kill but this one isn’t to bad if it gets to be to much I put it in night mode. I paid $260 from Amazon warehouse. The box looked old but inside the contents looked like they had never been opened so I feel like I received it new for half price. I wouldn’t pay full price $399 bc at that point you could go with Sonos or Bose which I’m told is the best of the best. However at $260 it was a great deal. It also said something about the sound not degrading the picture quality which I think is true bc my video games look better then ever. I’m coming off of using the JBL multi beam which also has a great sound. The JBL has more bass and a Warmer sound but I feel like I had to raise the volume a lot so I didn’t miss out on the little sound effects. The Polk gives me details and a surround sound without having to blast my ears. I think the jbl is meant for a larger space where you can really crank it up to get movie theater feeling but if you want bass without a separate sub the JBL multi beam is worth it if you get on sale like I did for $199. Okay back to the Polk . It’s definitely meant for movies and TV as opposed to a lot of soundbars where music is the first priority. I continue to be impressed. I only wish the soundbar was a little shorter and had a mode for gaming. If you can buy the Polk for $300 or less it’s a decent deal especially bc it has upward firing speakers that’s hard to find in this price range. The surround sound effects is good. I can’t speak to Dolby Atmos bc I haven’t noticed the Dolby Atmos mode switch on. Not sure I watched any Atmos content. Wish the bar would show it words what’s it’s playing instead of color indicator. Overall very happy with product and my experience

Amazing sounds bar, less then adequate subwoofer

This sound bar system is a truly amazing and high quality sound compact sound system. The subwoofer is Bluetooth and syncs perfectly with the sound bar and TV sound. The sound bar has amazing speakers packed into the sound bar and have some of the speakers pointed not just forward but in an upward direction for a much better surround sound experience. The sound bar itself for me gets highest marks but the subwoofer compared to the sound bar is truly less than adequate. The base even turned up loud is not a very powerful subwoofer and does not put out a really deep low sound wave base. The subwoofer works great and sinks perfectly it’s just not nearly at the same level of sound quality as the sound bar itself. In fact I ended up opting to buy a Sony soundbar from Costco that was less than half the price which does not have as good a sound bar as this one but the base is at least three or four times better and has a much deeper richer base than this set up. The much cheaper Sony soundbar set up I have has a subwoofer that’s twice the size and like I said puts off a good two to three times more powerful base with a richer thump then this sound bar system has. The hole in the subwoofer in this system is on the bottom and faces down which I think is part of the problem but ultimately the size of the subwoofer is just too small and too weak compared to the quality of the sound bar itself it’s unfortunate because the sound bar is truly an amazing setup with a large amount of great quality speakers packed into the sound bar with the option to use an obstacle cable or an HDMI cable rated up to 4K or 8K. It also has a USB port in the back for software upgrades when needed. My new Sony soundbar with the much better subwoofer also has all the same features in the back of The sound bar but does not have as good a quality of sound due to the fact that it is smaller and does not have as many speakers in it and also does not have the speakers that point at an upward angle for the higher quality surround sound that you get with this system which is unfortunate but considering the cost difference I opted to pay more than $200 less for this Sony soundbar system from Costco and I sold this setup to a friend for $350 which I thought was fair because it was still very brand new so he got a good deal and I made most of my money back and got the base that I prefer to have when listening to music or watching movies. All in all this sound bar system is a great system It just doesn’t have the type of base quality I’m accustomed to or desire for watching movies or listening to music, If they were to upgrade the subwoofer even by 50% it would make the world of a difference and I never would have thought of changing systems in the first place but that is just my preference when it comes to base with my sound system

Very easy installation but confusing instructions for elderly.

Had to set this up for my family, came in great packaging. The set up was simple but the Instructions were in broken English, it’s hard for my elders to understand but I figured it out just fine. You need to simply plug it in, turn it on and change your tv settings and you suddenly have surround sound (ok maybe just for us lol) they have an old flat screen where at the time they required a soundbar to sound good, so for them it was definitely a HUGE upgrade.

This Sound Bar Is Great ! ( Real Reviewer )

I just bought a Sony X93L with Dolby Atmos capability. Not a cheap TV. I knew I wanted a sound bar system for my living room that would do it justice. I looked & listened to sound systems by Sony, Bose, Sonos, Samsung, LG, Visio to name a few. Im a child of the 70s and grew up through the old school speakers with LOUD & LARGE surround sound home theater set ups. I love hearing all the small details around me. If i had unlimited cash I’d spent few grand on one of those systems. But i don’t have that kind of money …. really I don’t need that much sound system in my living room. I wanted a sound bar that would give separate bass and separation of some left and right and center channels and sound solid for movies, music and dialog. I didn’t want a cheap sound either. When I listen to the brands i named before i honestly wanted to be impressed …. but just wasn’t. It sounded good but many with a bar and sub together would be at least a $1000. Some much more. I came across this Polk Signa S4 and read the reviews. Polk has made solid sound for a long time. I took a chance and I’m glad i did. This sound bar is GREAT ! The build is very nice and solid. Remote is small and plastic but has very usable buttons especially the separate sound and bas volumes. Set up was fast, all needed cords included. It has very excellent center voice clarity. The other channels are distinct and create a wall of sound that “reaches out in to room before your TV and shifts left, right and up and down”. It sounds really good and when your add the sub the bass flows in well but is also distinct and can be adjusted easily with the remote. If you want some bass rumble for those movies or thump for concert bass lines it can do it well. Is this system a full surround 7.1 plus sound experience? NO ! But you can really hear the shifts in channels reaching out in front of you from the array of speakers projection left, right, center and up. I personally found the bass in the front to the side of the bar by the TV is really good. But for me i placed the sub woofer behind me and got some really nice “surround like” feel that pulled all those sound bar channels all together to a more full room experience. Im totally satisfied and recommend this system. The price was $299 vs $1000 plus for some of the others. Amazon offered me a $200 gift card to sign up for their credit card making this sound bar cost $100. I was sold at $299 but at $100 it was a steal. Try it …. its a great living room system with Great value for the price. I Love It!

Easy to setup, easy to use, great sound

This relatively low cost sound bar has remarkably good sound for such a low profile. Setup was easy. It came with HDMI and optical cables for attachment to the TV. I attached the HDMI to the ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI connection of my flat panel and just turned it on. The TV recognized the sound bar by turning off its internal speakers and playing sound through the sound bar. Additionally, it shows the audio level bar on-screen whenever the TV or sound bar remotes are used to adjust the audio level. I plugged in the wireless subwoofer and it connected automatically to the sound bar, but there is also a manual process if necessary. It is also easy to use. There are various adjustments that can be made with the sound bar remote, but once these were made we only use the TV remote. The sound bar appears to go into sleep mode when the TV is off and comes back on when the TV is turned on. It is compatible with Dolby 2.1 content, but it cannot be upgraded with additional speakers. There are five inconspicuous buttons on the top of the sound bar: on/off, source selection, Bluetooth on/off, volume down, and volume up. Bluetooth is used for playing sound from other sources like a smart phone. These buttons also appear on the sound bar remote along with other buttons for mode selections. There are three sound buttons: Movie, Night, and Music. We use the Movie mode mostly as it “expands” the soft and loud sounds as if in a movie theater but with 2.1 speakers. The Night mode “compresses” the sound levels, making “quiets” a little louder and “louds” a little lower. This mode is good for late night listening with the sound turned down so that others aren’t disturbed by loud explosions and you can still hear the “quiet” portions. The final sound mode, Music, is for listening to music with the frequencies set at a more equal distribution. There are also three buttons for Voice Adjustment. These adjust the voice frequencies to make voices easier to understand. At the highest level, number 3, we can tell that voices are much clearer but they sound somewhat unnatural. Consequently, we normally use level 1 and occasionally level 2 when necessary. There are a series of lights on the front screen to indicate operation and when modes are selected. The main light comes on when the sound bar is in operation and goes off when it goes into sleep mode. This is a soft light and I do not notice it when watching the TV. The color changes whenever the Dolby 2.1 signal is received and being used. Other lights on the front will turn on momentarily whenever a new mode or source is selected to indicate that the signal has been received and the change made. There is also a light that comes on when Bluetooth is turned on. This goes off when Bluetooth is turned off or when Bluetooth goes into sleep mode if it is not in use for more than 15 minutes. Note, the auto sleep mode is not the default and this option has to be manually selected to be in use. This sound bar produces much better sound than the TV speakers and requires little attention once the adjustments are set; we mostly use the TV remote. My only criticism regards adjusting the subwoofer levels. The subwoofer has bass minus and plus adjustment buttons on the remote but, unlike the other mode adjustments, there is no visual indication that anything is happening when this is used. There isn’t even an indicator that it is wirelessly linked except for the lights used when manually connecting it. The bass can be adjusted up to the point that deep voices and drums rattle items on the shelves in the room. When adjusted down to reduce such rattles we have no way of knowing if we are at a mid or lowest level. The bass can be adjusted to what is being listened to, but it would be nice to know the actual setting so that a “standardized” level could be selected for particular circumstances.

Great for the price! Click for full review

I purchased this item for use in my small living room, for use on a TCL Roku TV. I realize I am a bit picky when it comes to sound products, and this soundbar definitely did not disappoint, however, it was lacking a little bit in some areas. I think a 4.5 star rating would have been more appropriate. The item arrived in a very timely fashion and in perfect condition. I will include my own “star” rating for each category so that you can get the most accurate idea of what this product has to offer. The following is my full review of the Polk Audio S2:Pros:-Connectivity: I’d say this soundbar is “plug and play”. Had absolutely no issue connecting to my TCL TV utilizing the provided HDMI ARC cable. I’ve read that the TCL TV’s can be a little finicky when it comes to connection of external devices such as this. I’d venture to guess that if it connects this easy to mine, it should connect to yours just as easily. Make sure to adjust the setting on your tv accordingly for whatever connection you utilize. The provided remote control is self explanatory and very easy to use. Depending on your individual setup, your tv remote can be utilized (if you use HDMI ARC or Optical) to control the unit, and the Polk remote can still be utilized to adjust the sound mode, bass, and volume in these configurations. The unit powers on and off automatically using the HDMI ARC configuration. The Bluetooth subwoofer was very easy to connect to the soundbar and I haven’t experienced any issues with it losing the connection. Also connected to my phone with no issue.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-Flexibility: Polk provides just about every necessary cable to connect to your particular tv. The only one they don’t provide is an AUX audio cable (headphone style). I wouldn’t recommend using this type of connection if you want optimal sound quality, but it is something to consider if that’s the only connection you have available.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-Aesthetics: The Polk S2 is very sleek and clean in appearance. No extra “bling”, which I appreciate. The soundbar is slim enough that it would look nice bottom mounted or wall mounted, without looking cheesy or out of place in any room with any decor. The subwoofer is not huge and relatively slim, so that it can be concealed almost anywhere, however, placement of the subwoofer will greatly affect bass response. It features a single blue-green light to indicate that the unit is “on”, and a classy looking “Polk” badge on the soundbar.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-Reliability: I have had zero issues with this unit. No loss of connection, no technical issues, malfunctions, or failures. Very easy to set up and use.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-Sound Quality: For this portion, I will separate the sound quality of the soundbar, and the sound quality of the subwoofer.Soundbar: The Polk S2 soundbar sounds very crisp and clear. Frequency response is decent. It’s lacking super bright highs, probably because it uses full-range speakers to handle all sound rather than having separate tweeters. Midrange response is good and vocals are easy to hear when adjusted correctly to your ear. Bass response from the actual soundbar is next to nothing, and primarily handled by the subwoofer. I’d venture to guess that Polk purposefully used some sort of crossover in the soundbar to eliminate distortion incurred from the tiny soundbar speakers trying to reproduce bass notes. Movie sound effects and music sound really good, and the unit is plenty loud for almost any sized room. I have turned the unit up quite loud, and haven’t noticed any distortion or clipping from the soundbar, which my ears are very sensitive to. Could be my OCD, but if it were there, I would hear it, and it would really bother me. I did observe a very noticeable drop in volume and sound quality when connecting my phone via Bluetooth and playing music. Bluetooth connection inherently does not have the same bandwidth as a hard connection, but with this unit, it really stands out. I only use this connection occasionally, so it’s not a huge deal for me, but depending on how you plan on using this unit, it may be worth considering. The Polk remote has a feature that allows the user to increase the loudness of vocals, which comes in handy when watching tv shows and movies. The 3 sound modes (movie, music, and night mode) work fairly well, but I would have preferred a “custom” setting as well. My ear tells me that “music” mode enhances bass and treble, “movie” mode is similar to the “loudness” feature on some home and car stereos where output is boosted across the board, with a little decrease in mid bass, and “night” mode dulls the sound across the board, assuming this is to cut mainly bass response to avoid disturbing other people in the house. I find “night” mode to be fairly useless. It sounds to me like you disconnected the soundbar and went back to using the stock tv speakers. Personally, like I said, I’d prefer this feature scrapped and replaced with a custom setting. Overall, it sounds really good, and is a drastic improvement over the stock tv speakers, but if you’re looking for audiophile quality music reproduction, this probably isn’t the unit for you.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Subwoofer: Considering the size of the subwoofer (5.25” driver) and small size of the subwoofer’s ported cabinet, it does its job pretty well. The amount of bass an individual user likes is very subjective, so this is simply my evaluation based on my preference. The subwoofer provides decent bass response. Sound effects, like explosions, in movies are really brought forward. It sounds like it is tuned to handle all bass frequencies (mid-bass down). This can cause the unit to sound a little muddy at times. It lacks the ability to accurately reproduce the very low “lows”. In my living room setting, it is “feelable” and sends a small vibration through the floor, which in my opinion, helps with the overall movie experience. I have noticed a bit of distortion if I turn the bass all the way up and turn the volume up very loud. I heard a bit of a “flutter” from the sub. It didn’t sound like port noise, it sounded like the tiny driver was protesting how hard I was pushing it. I couldn’t get the unit to “clip”, and I’d guess that if I turned it up loud enough to do so, the driver would melt down before any clipping occurred. At normal listening levels, I did not hear any port noise or distortion. My living room is small, and the unit is placed next to my couch, but I’d guess that in a larger living room, it may not provide the same feel as it does in mine. I mentioned the placement of the subwoofer earlier…this is important. I had to really play with placement to get the most out of this unit. That isn’t a knock on this particular subwoofer, and is true with most home subs. I do think it is more important with units such as this that use a very small driver and don’t have a huge built-in amp. I started with this unit placed next to my couch, between an ottoman and the wall, with the port facing a corner approximately 15” away. I could hear and feel the bass ONLY when I was sitting on the couch. If I stood up, it sounded like someone shut the sub off. I moved it under an end table, port facing another corner approximately 8” away. This made a huge difference. My living room isn’t the best for finding a spot to put a subwoofer, but I’d say that it’s important to corner load this unit if you want to get the best response from it. Is it going to give you brain-rattling bass? No. Are you going to hear those super clear, punchy plucks of a bass guitar, or feel kick drums and explosions pounding in your chest? No. It provides a nice, distortion-free addition to the soundbar and rounds everything out, that’s about it. It’s not disappointing, but it’s not mind-blowing. Considering the price, and size of the driver, it’s good.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️In closing, I am happy with the Polk S2. You can’t purchase a “budget” soundbar and expect “high dollar” performance. The S2 met my expectations in most areas. Polk put out a quality product at a great price. If you are wanting perfect, movie theater-quality volume and audio response, and bass that makes you feel like you’re having a heart attack, look elsewhere and spend more. If you’re wanting a user-friendly, easy to set up unit that sounds really good, the Polk S2 is worth your hard-earned dollar. Buyers with very large living rooms, audiophiles who are accustomed to “the best of the best”, and bass-heads, may want to look elsewhere and spend a few extra dollars to get what you’re looking for. Buyers who want a great product at a great price, for use in a small to medium sized living room or bedroom…I’d say this is one of, if not THE best soundbar/subwoofer combo on Amazon. As long as you use common sense and keep your expectations from the Polk S2 reasonable for the price point, you won’t be disappointed.

    Great upgrade from built-ins.

I’ve been very happy with this for the past two months. We were utilizing the built in TV speakers before and wanted something that sounded a better and this system really seems to fit that bill. Our room design doesn’t make a full surround system practical, so a soundbar system seemed like a decent option for our needs. I’m not a audiophile by any means and I don’t have any delusions that this is as good as some really high end sound systems. But going from TV speakers to this soundbar system is night and day difference for our space and our entertainment. The subwoofer isn’t a huge rumbling unit, but it works decently for what it is, I keep it in the corner. While we aren’t getting a true surround experience with this unit, it sure does improve our movie watching or binge watching.I use the night mode often when others go to sleep and find the voice profile presets handy when watching movies where the dialogue sometimes see a quiet. The eARC was plug and play for me and I’m able to adjust volume with any of my remotes. I still keep the Polk remote handy for choosing specific profiles when needed.I tested the Bluetooth and that seemed to work fine for playing audio from my phone. All in all, I have zero regrets for ordering this. I was lucky to get it on Prime Day for a discounted price. Install was a breeze with the eARC and the improved sound really increases our enjoyment of our TV shows and movies.

Great up grade to a TV speaker

First of all I have a Bose 5.1 surround sound system for my home theater. If you are looking for something below $150 that competes with the sound quality of that , you will be sorely disappointed. That being said, the Bose product that most directly competes with the Polk Sound bar is the Bose TV speaker for around $200. I picked the Polk because it was less expensive than the Bose and it came with a subwoofer that has independent bass control. The Polk has instant settings for movies music, and spoken dialog. I purchased a Bose TV speaker last Christmas for my Mother-in-Law because she is hard of hearing and the external speaker is clearer and does not buzz like the TV turned up too loud. It works well, but I’d give the Polk higher marks. It is significant upgrade to the internal TV sound for most TV viewing and well worth the price. The sound is significantly better than the internal TV speaker for movies and concerts through cable or streaming. Just don’t buy this expecting it to be on the same level as a top of the line surround sound system. for me and everyday watching, it is exactly what I wanted and even exceeded my expectations a little.

    Good for what it does.

First sound bar I’ve ever owned. It’s great. So easy that I forgot that I even had to do anything to set it up and been using it on my RokuTV for awhile. I just saw I never reviewed it. I’ll never go without a sound bar again. I will say this thing freaks me out at times because the surround sound occasionally really makes it sound like something is behind you. It does make it easier to hear what people are saying in some movies too.

Just Okay – with the correct HDMI Cable

I bought this on sale before Black Friday – one of those Open Box deals from Amazon. As warned, the packaging was severely damaged. Everything looked re-wrapped, except the HDMI Cable. So maybe I cannot fault Polk or Amazon for my dismay when it did not play ANY sound. I tried everything. At the age of 66, this is NOT my first Soundbar Rodeo. I tried every connection type. Three different HDMI Cables – including the one that was in the box. Optical. TV Speakers OFF. TV Speakers ON. Nothing. I then filed for a Return last night – which is what I love about Amazon. So easy! This morning, I decided to try, again. Tried every Sound Output Setting on my OLED LG TV. Nothing. Then I looked through the literature (not much there in the Owner’s Manual — no Troubleshooting Section, for example). One statement somewhere along the way kept creeping into my mind: “Requires a High Speed HDMI Cable.”Aren’t they ALL “High Speed”? Aren’t ALL the myths about “quality HDMI cables” proven as silly? Apparently not. I had ONE cable left to try – from Monoprice. The only one in my arsenal marked “High Speed, Category 2”. Lo, and Behold!! – IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY!I did not use it at first for several reasons: 1) I felt like the bundled HDMI Cable was provided for a reason. But it will NOT produce sound using that Cable. Maybe whoever repackaged this simply threw in any old standard HDMI? It is not marked in any way. 2) I used the Monoprice Cable in my system to connect from a previous Soundbar (an old Sony SA-ST7 that has long-since been discontinued, and has problems staying ON). This cable is only 3 feet long, and a flat design, at that (meaning, not sinuous or bendy) — and, my typical luck, it simply will not reach from the right area of the Signa S2 connection to the HDMI ARC Connector on my 55″ LG OLED TV – which is all the way to the left. So, to test it, I have the Signa S2 positioned closer to the left – which is awkward, but good enough for testing.Impressions, once I got this working?a) PLENTY LOUD! CAN YOU HEAR ME?? This baby will blow you out of a small living room (mine is 12ft x 14ft, so I don’t need a huge soundbar). Polk will not state the Power Rating on this, but, trust me, it’s PLENTY LOUD! It does not have loudness levels that display on the TV Screen.b) But that’s about it. The spatial feeling of the sound is not improved. You can tell it comes directly from that soundbar – there’s no widening of the soundstage. If you are hoping for Surround Sound Effects, this is NOT the soundbar for you – in my opinion.c) The Sub works just fine and is relatively small, based on the others I’ve had. Not terribly heavy. Plenty of punch for my needs.d) The Voice Dialog Enhancement – I think it works okay. You can certainly notice a change as you switch amongst the three levels offered. I will need to pull up a show or two that suffers with dialog issues to be sure — this was the second reason I bought a new one. The old soundbar simply had no way to improve the dialogue that I could tell — assuming I could get it to restart on the next use of the TV. You should not have to restart the soundbar simply because you walked away for several minutes after muting the sound, or each time you sit down to watch something.e) A few have written about the Signa S2 cutting off between, say, YouTube videos. I left my movie on pause for 20 minutes and it started right back up. Maybe Polk corrected this issue. If not, there’s a two-button workaround mentioned here in these Reviews that extends the “Power Saving Auto Cut-Off Feature” to four hours before it kicks in.f) This unit is plenty small and fits on top of the TV Console, in front of the TV, without blocking the Remote Sensor for the TV (which, in my case, is on the front at the very bottom, and dead-center). Nice! That’s the way it should be.g) The Remote Control feels cheap because it is. Once you connect by HDMI ARC, you must use it to control your TV sound. Durability of the Remote? Not sure. So, I now have to decide whether buying a longer High Speed HDMI Cable is worth the expense – and keep this (one surprise was the Optical Output produced no sound, as well). Or pay a now-higher non-sale price to replace it – and hope the correct HDMI cable is included. Or find an affordable soundbar with a wider soundstage, and maybe more than one HDMI Connector. It would be nice to connect some of my other components directly to the Soundbar rather than flowing through the TV first, but it may not matter. If you simply need sound to be LOUDER – this will certainly suffice. The build quality is nice. You definitely need a High Speed HDMI Cable, no matter what. Based on the articles I’ve read, you do NOT have to overspend on this cable. Gold Ends, etc. do not gain you anything. So don’t be fooled.

Easy, love the bass can be placed anywhere

After buying one to test for a Christmas present I kept it and bought a second to give for Christmas. I had it 2 months now and love it. It’s just nice to have a forward facing speakers in general. Definitely can make you feel like you have surround sound. The bass isn’t amazing but it is enought to support the sound and keep it’s quality. At first I was getting irritated finding a volume that was between waking up everyone in house and not being able to hear conversations in tv shows. The remote volume button increased by 3 with just a touch of the volume it made me upset because the middle was the perfect setting. I ended up holding down the volume up button and the mute button for like 10 seconds and then tried holding down vol up and down at same time for ten seconds. A combination of or one of the buttons I was long pressing fixed the volume so it only goes up one increment at a time and adjusting placement of the soundbar and the subwoofer thing I bought 4 different kinds of soundbars when one came with damaged shipping box and blown crackling speakers, 2 out of the four speakers made messed up noises. I almost went with Samsung but they are always over priced for the same equipment as cheap model, at least they do that with their Chromebooks. Their phones, even caught not spending money for the security updates we have to install every month, and instead of security updates it was basically a program that changed icon shapes and small things like that to show it did work, only releasing the real security updates at the end of the entire year. Everyone with a Samsung phone and all 600 pre-installed apps at risk of security breach and identity theft unknowingly, my Google phone came with 70 pre-installed apps needed for phone function and works better, faster, clearer and stays connected to bluetooths without constant error notices inability to stay connected long enough to complete a task, I make great video calls and my Samsung Note 10+ dropped every call ever made with wifi calling turned on, constant breaches due to an enormous amount of junk apps and the very many unnecessary platforms that come in Samsung note and galaxy phones, their are always 3rd parties recieving information from texts and media messages, running Samsung, Google, outlook, Microsoft, Bixby, Google assistant, yahoo, free itunes account 6mnths free music, Alexa, Cortana. Internet browsers came with chrome, Google, Samsung, Microsoft, had to download Firefox too. Had to have a Samsung account ending with a outlook email addy, also need to share a Google account to Samsung and combine saved info, everything gets put all over the place photos and documents show up in 4 or 5 different places being saved in your phone to , Google drive, Google photos, Samsung photo gallery, internally in Samsung folders, onedrive, and downloads, Verizon(if u have), Adobe Acrobat pdf reader, Adobe cloud, my files app. So anyway after 4 other soundbars large and bulky, one without the subwoofer for bass that just rattled the bar speakers, and one that wasn’t easy to set up and too bulky and none of them have as good sound quality as Dolby digital, I bought a better optical cable which is the only connection to the tv. I didn’t use HDMI cable or optical cable they send because if it wasn’t twisted or fit in just right the sound would go in and out and make that white noise or popping sound. It wasn’t really bad just could have used the HDMI cable they sent but for some reason I had hard time I had an optical cable I bought for a printer/fax/scanner I bought I never knew what it was for…It’s so so nice to hear my tv with a front facing speaker!!! I can actually hear the TV all the words without blasting it so all the sound facing back behind the TV no one in front of tv can hear it well and everyone in other side of tv can’t hear anything other than the tv… I thought my hearing was going bad for a while. My ex was yelling at her dad his tvs back faces the hall of apartment complex. That’s when I noticed that the new TV’s being made have back speakers impossible to hear without it being too loud in the back. Tried cardboard and foam to block sound and bounce back to me. No more of that now.My Polk signa Dolby soundbar is clear and great quality I find the sweet spot being in the voice adjust buttons low voice is 1, loudest voice adjust setting is 3. Voice adjust 2 is my favorite setting with bass turned down just a few and volume turned up 2 notches. My other favorite is the night mode turned up volume just a little. I can finally understand more than gunfire and explosions and crashes now I can hear what they are saying on the tv too. I love how slim this soundbar is, not as easy to damage doesn’t block my remote sensor on bottom of tv, can wall mount without worry of it being too heavy or big. If you find yourself having to make adjustments to volume more than you would prefer to have to do, then consider moving your soundbar and separate bass system to different loctions. Maybe set in front of tv should be changed to mounted on wall just above tv and bass somewhere close to the tv my bass is set to the side but kind of behind the TV on the tv stand and I mounted mine just above the tv far enough the remote reaches it from my sitting angles and it’s been way better than when I put it in front of tv. Great sound quality from the small soundbar shocked me enough to want to buy one for my father. Luckily it was on sale because I do think that 250 bucks is too much for this system. Especially the quality of the subwoofer sure it adds a bit of needed bass but only low low level because this subwoofer just makes everything muffled, at the right setting with volume it does a good job making your tv viewing a happy time with good clear sound. Any speakers with Dolby digital sound you can pretty much count on decent sound quality. It’s not Bose but for the price I feel it’s just as good. I have strange issues though, years of work has made it hard for me to hear anyone speaking to me if I can’t clearly see them, it’s like I have to be close enough to read their lips to hear them clearly. If I am not close enough to see the words their mouths form it just sounds like everyone is mumbling nonsense and made up words all day, but at the same time I suffer from sensory issues that have to do with sound and their pitch or frequency and what the sound is. Electric outlets plugs phone chargers light bulbs I can hear them all running. High pitch frequency both my parents could not hear my little sister couldn’t hear it and neither could my older sister, to me it was like the highest piercing noise that ignited an immediate emotional reaction of pure hate and rage that noise made me want to dig my brain out through my ears. It was coming from a clothes dryer that had a problem with the belt or gears that spin it. I almost was put on psych hold after the rage hit again and I shoved the dryer on its back and started beating it while screaming at my mother for running it while I was home. My little stunt brought that high pitch squeeling down and now everyone but my dad could hear it. Thank goodness mom knows I’m bipolar but this experience wass new to me. And different noises have different responses that I can’t control. A buzzing street light across the street and down the road to the 4th house the street lamp on the corner was new looking like an LED lamp. I could hear it in my house 5 bedroom 2 bath 3 story home I could hear the buzzing from that street light that sound caused and anxiety and serious need to find what’s making that noise and stop it. I thought it was the hornets I didn’t see any nests yet so I figured they got in the walls that year and had my ear against every wall looking for a warm buzzing area In the walls. Then at 3a.m. in gross pajamas and socks no shoes I wandered around my house down to the pond at the park up on my neighbors porch inspecting the pool filters that were running thinking that could be it it took me 2 hours of searching for this buzzing that seems to be coming from everywhere. Until finally I realized 4 new street lamps were looking like energy saving LEDs or something and only one was buzzing like that so far away no one believes me that I could hear it in my room watching TV windows doors storage and all the house in between me and that light. I’m on 3rd floor up high with the street lamps I think that’s why I could hear it like it was in my walls. Once I got outside the noise was coming from above me and I could hear it so clearly from so far away it took me forever to find the source of this anxiety inducing noise I couldn’t turn off. Causing such anxiety no other thoughts but making it stop could come into mind, going around the neighbors homes yards porches pools round and around staring up at the sky at 3a.m. Finally I smartened up bought noise cancelling headphones!!! Anyway I love the different adjustments to the volume that can be made with six different modes and can move the bass and volume as you need to adjust. I switch between voice adjust 2, and night mode lower the bass. I’m very happy with this purchase just maybe spend a few bucks in a really good cable to connect it because even though they included multiple ways to connect this soundbar, a better quality optical cable and a proper HDMI enhanced audio or whatever I went with a 10 dollar opticalOptical Audio Cable 10ft/3M, iVANKY Slim Braided Fiber Audio Cable, Digital Optic Cord,Toslink Cable, Aluminum Shell, Gold-Plated for Sound Bar, TV, PS4, Xbox, Samsung, Vizio – CL3 RatedAmazon’sImproved sound quality by a LOTChoicein Fiber Optic Cables by IVANKY

    Awesome

This sound system is excellent, it’s exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want a 5 piece system. This system sound excellent, just the right amount of bass and the mids and highs are perfect. For a 2 piece system you can’t go wrong. Very easy to use and set up was a breeze. If your not wanting to upset your neighbors, but have a nice system that doesn’t break the bank, and way better than just you tv speakers, then this is the system for you. Also love the fact that with just the push of a button I can change how it sounds, especially at night if everyone is sleeping I can just turn on night mode and it cuts the bass down so I don’t wake the rest of the house and it still sounds good!
