Beautiful Piece of Technology
It was fun to improve my shots from the stock lens that came with my Sony A-6000 to this lens. I took a picture from across the James river into the Richmond city skyline and when I zoomed into the shot I could see the office rooms inside of a lit up building across the river. I took that city picture while on a shaky bridge and I didn’t find trouble in steadying the angle. The quality is beautiful and there is very little if any shake to the photos themselves. I’m looking forward to develop my skills further in long distance shots.

Good kit lens, buy used.
It’s a good kit lens if you shop around and find a used one for cheap. Think like $100 maybe $140. A debatable choice if bought new

Returned-Had foreign objects inside lens
This camera came refurbished but unfortunately there were obvious foreign objects that I tried to work around but made a big impact in my pictures. This resulted in several dark shapes appearing in all of the pictures taken.

Good deal and works well
It comes with the original Sony box. It looks like new. Tried a few shots. It works quite well. Keep in mind that this is a F4.5-6.3 lens, so it has its limitation, especially for fast speed activity (sports) or low light conditions. Turn on HDR compensates quite a bit in low light. Overall it is a good deal.

Broken lens
The lens was broken. It made a clicking sound and would not auto focus after 30 seconds. We took it to a camera shop and they confirmed the aperture control system was defective and not working correctly. Very disappointed.

Really awesome lens
Ngl I was so skeptical about the lens and amount I have to pay for it. I thought there’s no way the lens is in a good condition, but I was wrong and I’m so glad I am wrong, the lens is amazing and the fact is a renewable lens is crazy. I took some pic with the lens 55-210 and the quality is top notch, the size is really awesome too, I am glad I found this in Amazon it did save me good amount of money tbh lol.

It’s a really good lens for the money
It’s good quality and I’ve done a lot of great photos with it. I’m a beginner photographer and I use a Sony Alpha 7II mirrorless, so I can’t give too much of an opinion. But I like it for what I do. The only thing I could think is the autofocus. It’s a little slow to react, and not the best with photos dimmer than direct light. Overall though it is good quality, light, and fun to use.

I was nervous buying a used lens!
The lens arrived a day earlier than scheduled, thanks! It says refurbished but it looks brand new to me, no dings or wear, spotless glass and the focus and zoom rings are firm and smooth with no drift. I’m using this lens on a Sony A7C. If you need budget magnification, I recommend it.

A Great Bargain

Aperture problems
Although it was still usable and i’ve gotten some great pictures, the aperture is messed up. I’ve ordered two of these lenses but both of them came with the same problem. It is very annoying to deal with while editing.

Refurbished lens looks and works like new.
Purchased a refurbished lens to save a little money. Made extensive outdoor and indoor test of lens and am very satisfied with performance in bright light and indoor lower light conditions. Lens stabilization is excellent. I am a little shaky, and hand held shots at 210mm are sharp and can be cropped extensively. I plan to use lens primarily on trips where many subjects will not be close enough for standard 18-55mm lens. I did not test lens in low light and night time conditions, but don’t expect any problems. I bought extended warranty, but lens appears to be in new condition and would not buy extra coverage again.

Who needs a fast lens

Great, affordable lens to add on for an APS-C camera!
I recently purchased the Sony ZV-E10 for both video and picture. The camera is a great camera, but the kit lens is limiting. I was looking for flexibility to be able to capture some footage and photos outside of nature around my house. This lens works really well and is nice and small which is great for the smaller body of the camera. There is no noticeability that this was renewed, it is in perfect condition! For me, this is a great addition to help me practice with photography before moving onto the larger and more expensive lenses.
