Not quality
The first shipment was damaged and transit, and returned to the center by Amazon. I re-ordered, and the second shipment arrived very quickly, but after a few days of use, I realized that the CD drive was not working. After several hours in a chat room, and on the phone with HP support, I was told that my CD drive had not been connected properly to the computer. I sent the whole thing back to Amazon and bought a computer at Best Buy where I will have support that is easier to access.

TERRIBLE HP SUPPORT!!
The PC has great specs but I had issues with getting it to work.My HP printer would not work with the new HP computer.HP support REFUSED to help stating that the printer was out of warranty. The printer was working fine with the old PC but not the new.HP support would not help even though it was an HP printer with an HP PC.TERRIBLE!!!!!

Surprisingly fast
A very good value for the money. All the essential features and easy to set up. An Internet search reveals methods to log in without connecting to a Microsoft account. The computational speed was a surprise. In a test with a number crunching FORTRAN program, this 3.3 GHz Core i3 computer achieved a runtime about half that of my 10 year old 3.6 GHz Core i7 workstation. The only downside was a keyboard with an illogical layout — an extra backslash key obscures the shift key. Easily replaced.

Speedy Gonzales on 12 Cups of Espresso
If my memory serves correctly, in the history of computers I’ve owned over approximately 20 years I’ve never owned a tower type of computer. I was strictly a laptop guy, but the fact I’ve gotten involved with working as a Cybersecurity Analyst and who has a side gig as a photographer mostly working with astrophotography has meant I needed more power, more RAM, and a much more powerful processor than what laptops could provide without spending literally thousands (like $2,500 – $3,000) of bucks to give me what I need. I’ve always been a HP loyalist, but my last laptop frankly was a total lemon so I hesitated to go back to the well again, but this seemed to have almost everything I wanted and needed for a good price too. Now I’m glad I did.Amazon got this baby to me at warp speed (36 hours from time of order) and, with the exception of my needing to transfer about 500 GB of data from ‘Lemonhead’ (aka, my lobotomized, doomed-from-birth HP Pavilion laptop) to this machine, set up was also at warp speed. Once I had it booted up and had my astrophotography image processing software (which is a HUGE memory and processing hog), and Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom loaded up I gave the new guy a hardcore, pedal to the medal test drive and I was blown away. Lemonhead had a supposed quad-processor with speeds touted as being around 3.0 GHz and 16GB of RAM, and it would take that poor thing literally 2-3 minutes to load the most current version of Photoshop. This one, we’ll call him ‘Blur’ did the same task in, no kidding, a blistering 13 seconds. I actually thought it’d had crashed because I’d looked away for a moment and missed the entire splash screen for the application and it was already fully loaded. I did it 2 more times to make sure I wasn’t high for having blackouts. After three days of nearly 12 hours each putting Blur through the paces I’m still almost drunk with power. One other thing, she is literally whisper quiet. I haven’t even heard a fan kick in once nor a hint of noise from the hard drive. Lemonhead’s fans were noisy and constant trying to keep up with me…it was like watching Diana Ross’s hair constantly blowing from the wind machines that apparently follow her everywhere she goes. Now I feel like I’m dating a mime. It’s almost spooky, but I can live with it ;-)My only complaints about Blur are that she doesn’t have doesn’t a built-in SD card reader (my bad for not checking that in the specs) which; a letdown for someone who needs to transfer bazillions of phots from a DSLR digital camera. It also lacks even a single USB-C port (odd for a model that supposedly came out in August 2023), and oh yeah, having a 2nd HDMI port would’ve been nice since I’ve used a two-monitor setup for a long time (with one being Lemonhead’s built-in laptop screen) and I’ve been very used to and dependent upon having the two-screen extended desktop setup. Those are the only complaints I have for it though. One final note / warning. If you’ve never had to, or never experienced a thing called updating your computer’s BIOS, be prepared that once you’ve got your machine powered up and it begins downloading all it’s tons of updates to Windows and such that are always a part of giving birth to a new cyber-baby, a BIOS update is amongst those updates. A BIOS update literally burns new information onto a chip in the computer that is the underlying instructions that tell the computer what it is, what it’s parts are, and how to get to loading the operating system. The thing about flashing a new BIOS is that it is absolutely critical that you are plugged into a solid power connecting that isn’t likely to fluctuate (i.e. when you turn on the microwave and the kitchen lights dim) in any way, or be interrupted or you happen to in any way power off the tower…if any of these things happen during the process it will almost certainly fry the motherboard of your new computer (i.e. lobotomize your newborn baby) and that will be that. Take it from me. 15 years ago I flashed a BIOS on a brand new HP laptop, not out of the box for even an hour and I did it on battery power not plugged in and it cost me a $1,500 laptop I’d used for perhaps a total of 35 minutes). So, it’s okay to let the BIOS update do it’s thing but when you see that your computer says it’s updating the BIOS or anything related to UEFI DON’T TURN THE THING OFF until you’re sure it’s over. I get a panic attack or a case of PTSD every time I see a new BIOS update wanting to begin, and I sat through that anxiety this time but it went without a hitch. Just thought I’d give that warning to anyone not familiar with the process, now that I’m a fully experience cyber-nerd / dork. LOL.Great computer overall. Fast as lightning and a heck of a good price to boot (pun intended). I’d thrilled with this baby so far and I definitely recommend it.

Too new to tell. Hate the keyboard that came with it.
I’ve been out of keeping up with computer advancements for about 5 years. So, when my older computer was running slow I thought I should upgrade it. The only thing I new was I wanted at least 16 gb ram and 1 tb hard drive (I know old school I just hate depending on the cloud and paying a monthly fee). This seems fast. The keyboard and mouse are not the best. Well I should said I never used the mouse. I have a trakball mouse that works fine for me and don’t plan on changing it unless windows comes up with something new.The keyboard I wanted to use. Again, I’m out of the loop and this has some extra keys and the enter key on the right is one whole key length away. The Cap key on the left is also one key further out of my reach so instead of “I would like to go to a movie” I type \\\\\\\ and go WFT just happened. Then enter key is a problem. Also it has no words on it just and arrow as well as the shift, and backspace.I gave it 5 stars because 99% of the people buying it are not looking for it to for the mouse or keyboard. I just thought I would let the buyer and seller know I’m not sure it’s a keyboard people are us to using. If I can post the photo the one on the top is the new keyboard and the one on the bottom the old you can see the difference. No problems with getting the computer to work, downloading software, adding software via cd, connecting wireless printer and using a flash drive. (note if you are using a usb flash drive larger than 32 GB don’t use the format on the computer if you want to use that in an older device or for music in your car. It will format it to exFAT and your car will not recognize it. Older devices and most cars can only read a usb flash drive with FAT32. look on YouTube or google search to find a program that will do that for you. I spent hours asking the question “why is my USB drive no longer recognized in my 2021 Mazda 3. The answers all kind of pointed to replacing the wiring or something in the car when it was as simple as I wanted to start over with a flash drive so I thought a reformat was the best way to do that. in Windows 11 with my 64GB usb flash drive the only option was exFAT and something started with an N. I picked exFAT and that was the problem.

Do Not Waste Your Money: Constant Freezing.
What a piece of junk, works for a few days then freezes up in the middle of an important quiz or exam. This has made me fail a very important exam because it froze up on me. It started happening a few weeks after I bought it, happened again but I couldn’t return it cos it’s passed the acceptable date of return. I am very unhappy, I believe someone returned it and they sold it to me. This is very unfair. Over $500 gone to waste.

First impression is fabulous, seems like a really good choice
Great little computer, emphasis on the little. Appears I can get a graphics card inside the case, although that hasn’t shipped yet.Lots of USB, 4 on front and back, kinda to have that many on the front.Graphics are good enough for small games like Roblox and Terraria while Discord is streaming friends chat and YouTube playing on second monitor.VGA connection, HDMI connection. Came with HDMI to DVI adapter.Bluetooth, wireless, and Ethernet. All working.256GB SSD and 1TB spinning HDD. Really great setup with a DVD drive as well. So its the perfect blend of yesteryear and today.May update after the kid beats on it for a few weeks.

Didn’t want to have to
A few weeks ago my computer started to act up. I could use it but whatever was going on didn’t allow me to get into settings for something I needed. I did a partial reset which didn’t fix the problem and then a total reset of the computer. After saving all of my important files and the time it took to try and fix the problem I decided that I would just get another one. It was 8 years old with a lot of use so I can’t be too disappointed.I received the new computer on time and everything was secured and packed well with no missing components. So far, I am pleased with my new computer but adjusting to Windows 11. I still miss the XP version of Windows! I would recommend this purchase.

Amazing computer
My desktop crashed and I did not want to update to Windows 10, but was forced to. Tried this computer and was immediately impressed with it. There was a learning curve for this Grandma but wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Love this computer, so happy with it.

Meets all of Nephew’s Expectations
Over the years, we have developed enough confidence in HP and Amazon to order this for delivery to nephew 1000 miles away for Christmas to replace a PC that aged out beyond reparability. He has received it ahead of the originally promised date and is gradually moving all of his old files and familiar software into it with no unpleasant surprises. Thanks to Amazon and HP, I’m expecting him to have a Very Happy Christmas. Thanks for continuing to live up to the high expectations you have already earned.

HP Pro Tower
You don’t have to spend $1,000 to get a good computer. I paid $499 and love my computer. It’s quick and does everything I need it to. The only problem is that I accidentally hit the order button twice and so I have two of these desktops. I am hoping to sell one as it is still in the unopened box but Amazon won’t refund my money because I got Covid and long term cold symptoms so I missed the return date.
