Good size and speed especially for price

Very pleased with the performance. I questioned if 8gb memory would be enough but I still have free memory even with multiple applications running. Definitely recommend.

Needs more than 8GB of RAM

Now, I love Apple computers and have owned five or six since my first, the Mac Plus, back in the eighties. Recently, I bought the Mac mini M2 8GB RAM 256G SSD to upgrade from my 2018 Mac Mini. Many of the YouTube videos I watched said how the cheapest model was powerful for photo editing and video and how expensive Apple’s extra RAM and SSD size is. They recommended the base model. So I ordered the base model M2 and migrated my stuff from the old mini. What a surprise when I opened my browser and also my photo editing software: beach ball hell! IMHO Apple should not sell the M2 with less than 16GB of memory. Even if 8GB is enough for you now, you may need more RAM in the future, but you can’t upgrade the “unified” memory. I returned the M2 and went back to my old Intel based Mac Mini with its 32GB (that I had upgraded years ago) that had no memory problems. I’m holding off on a new mini for now.

Great Addition to your Apple Ecosystem.

I’m a user who does simple tasks like checking email and doing research on the web. If you have other Apple products, like an iPhone and iPad, it integrates seamlessly and you can see text messages, photos and emails across these devices. I believe it’s a great deal for the price as all of my Apple products stand the test of time.

    The perfect desktop computer

I only use Apple products for my phone and computer needs. I was considering the MacBook Pro laptop or the Macbook air. Very happy I went with the desktop. It’s fast and has good storage as the base model. I am pairing it with the latest Dell 32” monitor. I’m a designer and use large files and work with photoshop a lot. Will need to get an external hard drive to extend storage, but for everyday needs, it is perfect. $499 for the Mac mini and $280 for the monitor. Pretty good value for a Mac. Purchased during Black Friday sales.

    computer exchange

Migrated from 2011 era Mac to mac-mini, 256GB via ethernet cable. Took about an hour+. Trying wi-fi was not a good effort. Seamless transition. Copied my old computer to new, so the old still operable while I’m clarifying that EVERYTHING transferred. Love the rapid M2 chip. Using a Samsung 27″ curve monitor. So far, I’m very pleased with purchase.

    Easy upgrade

This is our fourth (4) mini. Only had to buy an additional HDMI cable and a hub for more USB ports for legacy devices and a USB-C cable for my external hard drive. Apple makes it easy to backup and restore from iCloud.

    Works like a Mac.

It’s a great machine but what is really annoying about it is the power button is in the back right corner so I have to reach back behind into the mass of cables and feel around for the button. I like to turn it off at night because all the things like speakers and usb ports have lights all over them and I want them off at night. Put the on off button on the front of the machine where it is convenient and obvious.

Most affordable way to have a MacBook!

Iphone + laptop all in one. I was struggling to find an affordable computer that would allow me to use the functionalities of Microsoft while being able to use apple apps (iMessage). Once I found the Mac mini and saw the reviews/price I was sold and use it every day!!

Beast of a unit for the price

I didn’t get mine on sale but got two more for my doc and lawyer on sale. Figures lol. It’s a beast. I was worried about the 8gb of ram. Hasn’t had a problem with 4 apps running and a ton of tabs. Also imported 20 years of photos without an issue.

    One of Apple’s best values

I purchased this to replace an iMac that I’ve had since 2010. It was on a sale promotion and buying this plus a monitor was so much less expense than buying an new iMac. Apple’s included word program, Pages, has improved very much since 2010. You can open MS Word documents with it now and save the Pages documents as .docx documents. My husband basically uses a computer for internet, but the PC format is so vulnerable to viruses he wouldn’t have been able to keep a PC very long, and his iMac lasted for 14 years. I’d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t needs tons of storage or tons of memory.

    The Mini Mac

This is my second Mini Mac. the last one lasted for 10 years, yes it’s a 2014. It was hit by lighten twice and we brought it back to life both times, lost no info, luckily. The 2014 model is still working but not with the new Apple OS. Thus I got the new one through Amazon, it was $100 off. It took a little longer to arrive, it was the Xmas season! Apple is so user friendly, you just have to adjust to their way. Get one If you’re in need of a desk top computer.

    OMG! Apple did it again.

I recently upgraded to the Mac mini, and I’m absolutely blown away by its performance and functionality. As an avid Apple user, I had high expectations, and this compact powerhouse exceeded them in every aspect. Let me share with you why it deserves all the praise it’s been receiving.First off, let’s talk about performance. The integration of Apple’s M2 chip has taken the Mac mini to a whole new level. It’s lightning-fast, handling even the most demanding tasks with ease. Whether I’m tackling intensive creative projects or juggling multiple applications simultaneously, the Mac mini delivers seamless performance without breaking a sweat.Beyond its impressive performance, the design of the Mac mini is sleek and elegant. It fits seamlessly into any workspace, occupying minimal space while still exuding sophistication. It’s made with recyclable materials and energy-efficient components, reducing its environmental footprint. As someone who values sustainability, this aligns perfectly with my values. In terms of recommendations, I recommend an Apple keyboard (unless you have another high-class product) with this computer. It helps a lot for a good quality of typing. Also, beware that if you want to use it for programs requiring more graphic card power (such as data mining), M2 may not give you what you are looking for, or at least, you may need some upgrades to get the best out of it.In conclusion, the Mac mini is a true game-changer in the world of computing. Its exceptional performance, sleek design, extensive connectivity options, user-friendly interface, and commitment to sustainability make it a standout choice for professionals and tech enthusiasts alike. Good little computer.

Good value Mac. Got the base model. Performance is very good. I wish I could upgrade then internal SSD as I have done with PC’s. External storage works fine and is much cheaper than Apple upgrades. Even if you have to buy a monitor, mouse and keyboard. It adds up to about 1/2 the price as a base MacBook Pro. If you already have those hardware. It is a good way to kiss Windows goodbye.

Fast and tiny. Amazing little device.

I actually bought one, liked it enough to get a second one. I’ve an iMac M3 and was concerned about speed but the is not a problem. This little guy is zippy as the iMac and does all I ask. I mounted each one behind an existing monitor and they are out of the way, nice and neat.Highly recommended.

I bought this to replace my old Mac mini which had always been sluggish even when new. I was hesitant but the old one was 10 years old and could no longer be updated. I love this new one. It is so fast it is scary! It was easy to set up. So happy I bought it.

    Awesome Mac

Switched over from a windows laptop and if your like me and tired of the wacky and useless updates from windows that makes you trying to find your programs all over again because windows rearranged them then this Apple Mac mini is for you. It’s budget friendly and yet provides sooo much. I had been thinking of switching to Apple since I have an all other Apple devices and never complained about them. You will need a monitor but can pick up a non Apple monitor for $100 or less and pairs with wireless keyboard and mouse. Does not have to be all Apple devices to pair with Mac mini. I use Logitech and works flawless. Mac mini Turns on quickly and the operating system is amazing. I can run a bunch of programs and windows all at once and never slows down. Stays cool however this is more of a business use not a gaming use so I can’t really comment on how the graphic are. I do use a gaming monitor and picture is crystal clear and refresh rate is very good. Overall I’m and very very happy I got this Mac mini and would buy another one in the future but Apple can run for many years.

    Goodbye PC!!!

Somehow this little thing with 8gb of RAM blows through 4K video editing and puts my old 64gb Ram Radeon 580 to shame. There’s almost no lag/stuttering editing a 4K timeline in Davinci. In the past I’ve had to create proxies just to edit my files which can be really time consuming. It doesn’t render quite as fast as my old setup but that’s a reasonable trade off. Never going back.

Same Apple quality for a price I can afford

I recently retired and knew my Apple laptop was on its last leg. I had taken it in for repair and spent over $200 and within a month it had more problems and I knew it was time to buy another computer. To my surprise I found this Mac Mini Desktop Computer and the price is amazing (if you want an Apple). Hooked it up to my own monitor, mouse and keyboard and it runs like a charm. I don’t do a lot on my computer except basic stuff so it’s way more than I need but it’s something I can count on. Told my grown sons about it and they were amazed that Apple has such an affordable computer. Love it!!!!

    Small but powerful

Switching back to Mac after many years using Windows. It is a bit of a learning curve, but Mac is pretty intuitive. I love the size of this computer! It takes up very little space. The computer I had was old and very slow, but I didn’t realize just how slow until I got this MacMini. I probably will need to get Open Office again because I am not sold on Pages, although I have used it. This computer really is going to do all that I need it to do and probably a lot more as I am a pretty casual user (no gaming or business apps for me). I consider this computer to be an investment and expect that it will last me a long time.

    Great desktop

This a great desktop. It’s not geared towards gamers but if you want a gaming desktop you ought to go with windows anyways. Paired with my wireless keyboard, mouse, and plugged into my tv it has worked flawlessly. If you are in the iOS/apple ecosystem the interconnectedness of the decides is so seamless and useful. Highly recommended, especially with a sitachi dock and extra ssd installed.

    So slow

Bought this MacMini to replace one that worked perfectly fine, except for the fact that its iOS was no longer upgradeable, which became an issue when the Kindle crashed continually. It seems that Apple and Amazon have colluded to stick it to their loyal customers so that they have to buy a new computer every few years. That REALLY TICKS ME OFF. I “fired” Bill Gates about ten years ago because of this strategy of using “built-in obsolescence” as a “license to steal.” Now apparently Apple is doing the same thing. After having invested several thousand dollars in Kindle books, I was no longer able to access them until I bought a new computer. Nor would the messaging on FaceBook on the former iOS.This new MacMini has the same specs as the old one: 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD, but has a 10-core CPU instead of a 5-core. You would think it would be at leasts fast as the old one, but it is much slower.1) Downloading files is – at best, about one-third the speed of the old Mac, unless it stalls and fails to complete the download which it does about one out of three attempts, so that after waiting and waiting, I have to cancel the download and try again, sometimes two or three more times, which equates to being more than ten times slower than the old Mac.2) Copying files from one drive to another is also much slower than with the old MacMini.3) Other apps that worked well on the old MacMini require up-dating to run on the new iOS, but some of these either won’t download onto this one or just fail to open.4) Little conveniences such as the way a right-click-copy-paste feature does not work in all instances like it did on the old Mac. Emails require an extra step: “This message contains remote content” which requires clicking on a button that says: “Load Remote Content.” This isn’t a real big deal, but again, it just slows things down by requiring an unnecessary step.I wouldn’t complain if the nw Mac worked at least as well as the old one, but given these serious deficiencies I am not at all happy – especially about being a victim of corporate thievery after tens years of loyalty.

    It’s an Apple!

I iike the minis. This will be my 3rd one. I’m getting 8 years, or so, from each one. As chip performance increases, the older models just won’t keep up online. This new one has Apple’s new M2 chip with an 8 core cpu and 10 core gpu and 8 gigs of ram. I’d like more ram, but for the price (Under $600!) I won’t complain. It hasn’t arrived yet. Two more days to wait. I’m confident that it will be a great replacement for my current 8 year old model which has a failing hard drive.

If you only use Apple software, a good upgrade from Intel Version.

After upgrade from old Intel i5 mini, 80% of non-apple migrated software would no longer work with “Apple Silicon”. Otherwise smooth transfer, seemingly better WiFi connection (newer antenna?) and seamless iphone integration. Same form factor allows easy unobtrusive stacking of the old i5 for using old intel-apple software.

Quality of the Apple always as expected . .This mini is so powerful and it does the job very well.

Speed is amazing. Quick response and really quite little box.I used to have a Dell computer for about six years and it is a big transition in any way.

Great but get more ram memory

This machine is awesome except I really wish I would’ve gotten at least the next level up on the memory. I use Logic Pro and a bunch of plugins so it doesn’t like that too much.

I thought this would have been faster and higher performance. But otherwise it’s fine.

Slow Bandwidth of the SSD really make it feel cheap when try to edit video

Buy a used M1 Mac mini would be a better choice, with the same price I Could get one with 500GB SSD or 16GB RAM

    The best!

Best money I’ve spent in a long time.Adorama was super fast on shipping and it arrived in perfect shape.I’m running this with a 55″ 4k Samsung tv for a monitor and it’s amazing. I can run WoW at 60fps with no issues. And of course it’s a Mac so it works perfectly 😉

    Love my new Mac mini!!

I needed to back up my pics, my iPhone and my iPad. I did the math and getting the Mac mini was more cost effective than iCloud. I’d never had a Mac before but decided it was a good time to switch from windows. ZERO REGRETS!!!! It’s fast, cost effective and I even got MS Office for Mac super cheap (thanks Groupon!). I love my Mac mini! Also, after doing some research I opted for the bigger storage. It was definitely the way to go if you can afford it.

If you don’t have a high DPI screen, don’t buy a Mac.

They’re made to work with expensive screens and if you don’t have one, the text/font is blurry. I had absolutely no trouble with Windows, but now that I have a Mac all the words are fuzzy. I would not buy another Mac.

Best Mac computer for the money!

The media could not be loaded.

The perfect upgrade from my Macbook Pro 2015! All apps run flawlessly in this M2 Pro Mac Mini. I’m more than happy with the performance of this Mac when editing videos with CapCut & DaVinci Resolve, when comparing it to my previous Macbook Pro 2015.What I like the most of this new Mac Mini is how silent it is. You can barely hear anything when it is running, and the temperature always maintains relatively low, even on demanding tasks such as rendering. The wide array of ports and the superb performance make this the perfect Mac for the money!Video credits:Music: A Sailor’s HawaiiMusician: Philip E Morris

A little BEAST! Perfect upgrade from a 15yr old PC

I am having zero issues and no unwelcome surprises after switching (back) to this Mac. Been slogging along with an ancient 15 year old WinPC. It finally conked out, so I got this.Used primarily for print design and art, I get silky smooth responsiveness, no problems with my calibrators and graphics tablet, and I’m able to leave apps open and switch between them. Worry free. I get so much more done and have free-time again.Video editing is also lightyears beyond what I had before. 4k videos, multiple tracks, color grades, etc — this thing never bogs down. Encoding videos is much faster too. What took 2hrs on a 32 core AMD Threadripper, with this Mini it did it in under 8mins!!!Very satisfied. I expect to be using this lil guy well past 15 years

    It started off great

I have several Mac’s, iPads and a few iPhones. All have been pretty good. This one started off great. It is an amazing little computer. It does a lot easily with a small amount of RAM. We mainly use it for streaming video, and it is great for that. After the update to Sonoma, it started having network problems. It configured it with a static IP over Ethernet. After an hour or so of Streaming. It loses internet capabilities. The adapter does not show any issues, but yet it will not connect. (DHCP did not work either). Adding a Wi-Fi connection makes no difference. I unchecked the box at the bottom of the LAN Hardware section. Some forums said it may cause problems. It is the only device on my router with this problem, including all of the other Wi-Fi and Ethernet devices. The next step is a Time Machine restoration to Ventura. If that does not work, I guess it is a loss and I will dump it on eBay. No more Apple!

    Comes with a learning curve!

I’ve been reluctant regarding the IOS infrastructure since the late 70’s when I opted to partake in the x86 architecture in the form of the Radio Shack TRS-80. Simply put the available apple system retailed for over $1100 which was well beyond my purchase ability. The TRS-80 sold for less that half the cost by also came with a high learning curve. I still have my TRS-80 as a matter of fact, although it has give up the ‘ghost’ for over 4 decades.Having weathered the storm of the Atari ST & multiple generational PCs for well over 50 years, in my senior years, I have decided to take the plunge into the MacOS Infrastructure. So for I have been impressed with the Mac M2 Mini. My major realization is that it is not your father’s Windows PC. The operating system is both graphical & keyboard shortcut enabled to a major degree. The MacOS is not as simple or easy to use as I was lead to believe! It requires a major relearning effort to master thie system! However, I must confess the set up & tweating of my new M2 Mac Mini has been a pleasant surprise. I have been aided by Youtube in the form of multiple Mac Training & tips videos which have been a major resourcs in adapting to my new Mac Mini! I will willlingly move deeper into the Mac as time goes by!

    Powerful Compact Computer

Can’t find anything I dislike about this powerful mac mini m2. I’ve seen people wanting more ports but there are always dongles. The M2 chip is zippy fast and the 512 gigs of memory on this one is way more than I will use since I am an every day average user. It does lack a card reader but that’s not a minus for me but has every kind that I use and actually more. I’m replacing a late 2015 iMac with it but you do need a keyboard and a mouse, a monitor and speakers and if you need one, a mic/camera. I bought an LG monitor, Amazon speakers and a Logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo and maybe will get the camera at a later date. To buy an iMac M1 with the 512 memory I would have to have spent circa $500 or more and wouldn’t have gotten all the ports. If you want a great dongle for the mini to add card reader and backup SSI you can add a great one for about 100 bucks. Really like this set up.

The Mac mini has become a powerhouse

I bought the Mac Mini M2 chip with 10 cores, 512 GB of SS storage, two thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, a 2.5 GHz ethernet port, an HDMI port and a headphone jack. The price was just too good to resist for the latest Mac Mini. Amazon had the best price at the time for the Mac Mini so I jumped at the chance. And I don’t regret it. I already had/have a 42 inch Apple display, so I didn’t have that expense. It took me a while to believe how fast this little unit is. I had three apps open at the same time: iPhoto, Apple Notes and Final Cut Pro, which is Apple’s proprietary nonlinear video editing app that is in the top three of all professional video editing programs. I was amazed at the speed with which the Mac Mini M2 chip could handle all three apps, because I was going between the three on a new project. Even if one has to purchase an external monitor to go with a Mac mini M2 chip I think it would be worth it. Fortunately, I already have a rather large external display which made buying the Mac Mini M2 chip even sweeter.

Canon multifunction printer lacks support / iTunes (Music) ext drive not clean

M2 Basic – Over all the computer is fast and works well with all the software I have except the Canon software. After some downloads and trial and error I can now print but the scanner although recognized does not work.I keep my music on an external drive and backed up via iCloud but my music and files are now a big mess. The Apple Music app can’t find the files but they are there. Very frustrating since past hardware upgrades have been easy and without problems.Recently had a credit card site bring the computer to a crawl while searching for past statements. I had to reboot. My mid 2010 Mini also had 8 GB of RAM and never had that problem. I’m hoping it was just that site or perhaps may need to upgrade the RAM.

Great desktop computer for great price

I was debating between the 2022 Mac Book Pro and the 2023 Mac Book Pro when I realized the 2023 Mac Mini was also available. What I love about the Mac Mini compared to the 2022 Mac Book Pro: all the ports! What I love about the Mac Mini compared to the 2023 Mac Book Pro: The price! I paid about 1/3 the price for my Mac Mini as I would have paid for a 2023 Mac Book Pro, and I’m loving it. I have had no problems hooking up my portable monitor, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse, and it works well with my printer and Cricut machine. I also love that the Mac Mini has a nice mix of available ports: HDMI, USB plus the Thunderbolt ports. The 2022 Mac Book Pro only has the Thunderbolt ports. I find that having to fuss with an adapter to plug in monitors, keyboard, etc is a pain. I think Apple must have realized people still want these other ports because the 2023 MacBook Pro has all these other ports now too. I am loving my Mac Mini!
