This is a noticeable improvement compare with the second generation lightning plug version

I have the lightning plug version second generation AirPods Pro for a few years. I like the sound and the noise cancellation. But I don’t love it. I cannot use it when commuting on trains. The noise cancellation wasn’t sufficient to block out the outside sound. I had to use either a over-the-ear Bose headphone or an in-ear monitor with Comply foam ear tips for my commute. This USB-c version is different! I noticed a marked upgrade in sound quality and its noise cancellation technology. It has a much better bass. It might have tuned better to cut out the train track noise. Now I can listen to music or videos without maxing out the volume. The USB-c charging plug is just the icing on the cake.

    The Best AirPods Yet!

I bought the Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Generation because my previous AirPods wouldn’t hold a charge very long. First, the price was awesome through Amazon. Second, the quality of sound is hard to beat. I tested it with Styx “Queen of Spades” and the super low part at the end came through and I could feel it resonating through my skull, lol. The thumping of the bass drum was great, too. I gave it a 5 out of 5 for sound quality. It has all the other bells and whistles you come to expect from Apple. The main thing is it sounds absolutely amazing and holds a great charge.

    Super Fast Delivery

This was a birthday present for my son and timing was critical. The product was delivered in less than 24 hours and my son just loves these Apple Air pod Pro 2nd Gen. He is a techy nerd and absolutely loves all the features offered with this product.Ge even had my hide his Air pods so he could use the locate app from his iPhone to find them. I was amazed at how quickly he found them, I had hidden them outside in what I thought was a hard-to-find place and he found them in less than 4 minutes. Great tech great product reasonably priced….

    Christmas Gift

Got these as a Christmas gift for the wife so she would stop stealing mine! She loves the sound quality and being able to tune me out with noise cancellation. Only issue she has is with the left one staying in her ear while working out which is no fault of the headphones, just her ear canal. She’s tried every size ear buds that are included but still has the problem. But again, the headphone isn’t the problem

These are truly SMART Ear Buds!

It seems as if there’s AI in these AirPods – they are damn clever! I am so grateful for the seamless handover that they offer. It makes a huge positive impact on my workflow to be able to smoothly switch between iPhone, MacBook, or iPad.Also, the noise-cancelation is phenomenal! And then on top of this, the Conversational Awareness feature truly is impressive. The sound quality is amazing, the Spatial Audio is impressive.I truly love these AirPods.

Pretty impressed – it just works

Never been a huge apple guy outside of my phone but that has been changing over the last year or two. Purchased these initially for the sole feature that you can use two AirPods to listen to the same iPad, which is perfect for flights.Love that connection and turning on is instant. Just pop out and pop in. Noise cancelling is impressive, as is the pass through. The dynamic mode is also pretty nice, it was cool the first time I noticed it actively mute a loud noise. Spatial Audio is very cool, but you need a format to take advantage of it. Took me a bit to find a Netflix video that had it, but offers a great immersion factor. Was sad that Spotify doesn’t seem to offer. Easy to charge both the headphones and case, I would recommend getting a protector for the case. Only con is I am one of those folks who have apple headphones just fall out of my ears so after playing with the included tips I got as good as I can get, but these will never be running headphones for me. Your mileage on this aspect will vary. All in all, came away very impressed and happy with the product.

A Pricey Gem for the Missus

Ever find yourself in a pickle, choosing between happiness and your wallet? Well, that’s the AirPods Pro for you. My wife’s smile? Priceless. These little tech wonders won her heart with their sleek design and top-notch sound. But, boy, do they make your wallet weep! They’re the kind of expensive that has you double-checking your bank app. Yet, seeing her bopping to her tunes, without a care in the world, almost makes that price tag worth it.

    Great headphones!

I bought these since I wear headphones for the better part of 8 hours at my job, and I was tired of the cheap headphones lol. These have been excellent, not only at work but at the gym too. The noise cancellation is great, it works amazing for calls, and like with other Apple products, I like the connectivity of it with the iPhone, iMac, etc. The rubber tip makes them very comfy as well.

Amazing sound and better than expected noise canceling

The sound these produce is great and the noise canceling (when properly worn) is almost as good as my over the ears headphone. Of course not quite as good, but as a trade out for size and portability, it is worth it. Getting these finally allows me to get rid of my lighting cables too. I only carry usb. A great feature is a quick charge directly from the phone with a usb c cable.

Legit & they work (my experience)

Other than my Amazon driver trying to drive away when there’s 3 cars in lot, who didn’t even bother knocking submitting attempted delivery… I did receive my package same day because they seen me before they completely drove away which would be a little suspect of Amazon driver but I was fortunate to be home. The box of product was legit, my box wasn’t damaged or opened, all looks brand new, C to C cable (not lightning) luckily because didn’t check description before purchasing, charging case is legit, real model numbers, mag safe works, new to apple headphones so I had to learn the settings and it’s probably a reason why some say it’s glitching or not working right but I learned the settings by pressing on Bluetooth setting next to air pods pro to know it was operating correctly. No complaints besides the driver for Amazon who tried to drive off with product… taking some steps to knock for a small item shouldn’t hurt, it wasn’t a chewy box

    Sensory issues management

I’m neurodivergent and struggle with sensory overload and have EDS related TMJ so I can’t wear over the ear headphones or ear defenders because they make my jaw lock up painfully, and these are a perfect solution! The noise cancelling works so much better than I would have guessed, now I can block out annoying neighbors’ sounds and go out and about without getting overstimulated so day to day stuff is a much more peaceful, calmer experience. Highly recommend to all fellow neurodivergent folk looking for sensory issues management tools. My only criticism is that I wish they didn’t have as deep of bass when listening to music, I hate bass but there don’t seem to be any controls for that. But that’s a smaller issue I can get used to and the noise cancelling is absolutely worth it.

Other than glaring white, they’re kind of perfect.

I’m too old to be one of those guys who wears AirPods everywhere.I listened to music while I work, and I worked mostly from home, so I was never tempted to be that guy and considered the habit a presumptuous affectation when I’ve encountered others who wore them in public. And I’ve had other competent noise-cancelling buds and was never tempted to wear those when out. Sure, they made hearing phone conversations easier in noisy environments, but I rarely talked on my phone when in public spaces, because, yeah, that felt presumptuous too. Then I switched to an iPad Pro-Magic Keyboard combo from a Windows laptop as my primary work device, which convinced me to migrate from Android to an iPhone, so investing in AirPods just made sense, given Apple’s matchless ecosystem integration. Now, when a call comes in via my iPhone, while I’m working and listening to music on the iPad, I can answer the call from the iPad through the same AirPods with zero effort. I just tap and talk as if the iPhone were in my hand. And I can hear the caller even better with the AirPods than with other buds. Plus, the AirPods’ ANC doesn’t cause the mild sense of pressure the others did.But that’s not all. The AirPods’ transparency mode is so scary good, I can hear every external sound — especially voices! — better with than without them, and that’s why I’m now tempted to wear them in public and have had to revise my previously negative opinion of others who do.Oh, and the spatial audio feature? I expected that to be a gimmick, but it’s accurate yet subtle, and having tried it, I no longer use the AirPods without it.Bottom line: If you see me out and about with AirPods in my ears, I’m not trying to drown you out. I’m trying to hear you better amid whatever cacophony surrounds us. And as with the iPad, having experienced the AirPods Pro 2, there’s no going back.I’m not an audiophile, so I can’t rate that aspect of the AirPods. I can only report that the base, mids, and highs sound as crisp and clear as through anything else I’ve used. I listen to recordings now that I first experienced in the ‘50s and ‘60s, and I hear elements I couldn’t know existed back in the days of AM radios with mono speakers. The AirPods have been a revelation in that sense, too.As for fit, I travel by bicycle and now wear the AirPods to better hear turn-by-turn directions (for safety, I keep them in transparency mode when on the bike), but however actively I’m pedaling, I haven’t felt at risk of the AirPods falling out of my ears. Plus, they’re comfortable enough that I can wear them the full ~six hours I pedal each day when traveling. What would I change? Well, they’re white, and in my perfect world, they’d be the color of darker skin, so the fact that I’m now a guy who wears AirPods in public wouldn’t be so obvious. Tan, brown, or black would be nice options. Otherwise, they’re kind of perfect.

    Complete package for Apple devotees

I resisted getting these for too long, because you can get better sound quality or better noise cancellation in other products. However, these just work better than anything else if you are in the Apple ecosystem and have multiple devices. I have 2 x Macbook Pro, iPad pro and 2 x iPhones. Switching between devices is simple. But the big factor that makes these excellent for me: I could never previously use “in ear” buds for making phone or video calls (yes I know the vast majority of you won’t make phone calls but…. ) but with the transparency setting I can finally have a natural conversation without having to have the phone glued to the side of my head. What could they improve? Adjusting the volume is hit or miss. Well, more miss really. Otherwise the long hold / short hold to access the different options works well.Another positive, they didn’t irritate my ear. I had the Bose QuietWhatever and while the sound quality was great, they were just uncomfortable to the point where I couldn’t use them for more than 10 to 20 minutes.

If you want a seamless Apple experience, then AirPods Pro are a must.

I used to be an AirPods hater and thought they were overpriced. But I bought my first pair in 2019 and have never looked back. I thought they would pretty much be the same but they are actually better in a lot of ways! The main advantage of AirPods is that they work so seamlessly with other Apple products. So if you don’t have an iPhone, I probably wouldn’t recommend these. I love how sleek and compact they are because it makes it so easy to carry them with me everywhere. I personally bought an iPhone 15 Pro this year and I HATED that my old AirPods were the only device that I had that used lightning instead of USB C. So I was able to finally get rid of that lightning charger with these new AirPods. The new AirPods pro also have MUCH BETTER battery life, sound quality, and noise cancellation from the old ones. I don’t have to charge them nearly as much and they sound even better than they used to!They’re great for listening to music and taking phone calls (though I sometimes have some friends and family complaining about my call audio when using AirPods.) Being able to have a convenient hands free experience is really important to me.In the box, you have multiple tip sizes for the AirPods, so if they don’t fit well, make sure you try the other tips before returning. I also like that they added a spot to attach a lanyard. I personally am fine with putting them in my pocket, but I know a lot of people could benefit from that. Here are some cons/things to think about when buying AirPods:-Buy the AppleCare+ – so worth it. I put mine through the washer once and they replaced the whole set for $30. I also had a battery issue with my old ones once and it was free to replace the case. Basically if you damage them, you pay $30 and if there’s no damage, there’s no deductible. The Apple Store employee told me that I would have had to pay $90 for ONE PIECE if I didn’t have AppleCare so totally worth it!-If you hate seeing scratches on the white case (not covered by AppleCare) then I would really recommend getting some kind of case. Probably won’t do much to protect them, but at least it will keep them looking brand new.-If you have an older phone that uses lightning, you might want to think about finding one of the older kinds that has the lightning case. I HATED having to use multiple chargers so if you’re like me, then you might want to try to buy those instead… But just know that all tech companies are moving to USB C for everything because of an EU mandate.

    Unsafe Delivery

My package was delivered while I was away from home, during the terrible weather taking place in California right now. I came to find my package completely soaked. The airpods were dry, but the entire paper package was wet. Thankfully the paper was very absorbent otherwise my item could have been damaged. I feel like they should be wary of weather conditions and postpone deliveries if possible. Also, the airpods were just loosely sitting in the paper bag, with no other form of bubblewrap or protection. The product itself is quite good. Other people have mentioned they have trouble keeping them in their ears, but I did not have that issue. They stick just fine. They sound decent. I feel you could achieve this quality from anything in the low $100 range, especially from other brands. I feel like the spatial audio kicks it up a notch, and really makes music an extra bit dynamic and enjoyable. The sound cancelling is pretty amazing. I’ve not experienced anything like it.Do I recommend this product? Yes, but don’t order it during a storm.Edit: I forgot to mention they delivered it to someone else’s apartment instead of mine. Also They fall out a bit as I eat or speak. I will try changing tips

Soothing Sounds: AirPods Pro as an Aid for Sensory Challenges

The latest generation AirPods Pro have been a game-changer for my child, who struggles with audio sensory issues. Their advanced features like the H2 chip for enriched audio, next-level active noise cancellation, and customizable fit have been crucial. The ability to control external noise levels and choose between complete noise cancellation and transparency mode provides them with a sense of control over their auditory environment. This adaptability has been invaluable during events or in crowded, noisy spaces, offering a comforting “shield” without complete isolation. Moreover, the personalized spatial audio and conversation awareness features contribute to a more immersive and considerate listening experience. The long battery life ensures that my child has consistent access to these features throughout the day. These AirPods Pro have not just been a tech gadget; they’ve become a significant tool in managing my child’s sensory challenges, allowing them to participate more fully in various settings without overwhelming stress or anxiety. Their blend of technological sophistication and practical application makes them an excellent choice for anyone seeking a high-quality auditory experience, especially for those dealing with similar sensory sensitivities.

    Incredible noise cancellation

This was an upgrade purchase and gift from my husband. I’ve been an avid AirPod user for years. The first night I used these, I was laying with my 2 year old son so he could fall asleep, which is my only time to watch a show.I panicked and thought the sound was coming from my phone and that he could hear it. The sound is so crisp and clean, I checked a bunch of ways and realized it was just THAT good. The small ear tips were key because the medium ones hurt my ears and I have sensitive ears that can lead to migraine so this is a key factor for me. I’d kind of avoided the new AirPod because of the size of the ear tips. But I am over the moon with how these fit my ear and their functionality.I’m still learning the buttons and functionality, takes this mom a while to spend time and learn those things anymore. But will report back if anything negative pops up!

Drowns out bratty teenagers at the airport

After a few days of use, I adjusted the ear fittings to the small size for enhanced comfort during my runs. While the seal was excellent, the impact noise from my footsteps was noticeable but not a deal-breaker. The sound quality is superb, and I was particularly impressed by the effective ANC. Compared to my over-ear Bose headphones, these come close in performance without compromising my hairstyle or causing discomfort against airplane windows. A true testament was at the airport, where the AirPods Pro 2 drowned out a disruptive teenager with Hans Zimmer’s epic ‘Dune: Part 2’ soundtrack. For the price, these AirPods Pro 2 offer an excellent combination of value and performance.

    Airpods

*Edit after only a couple of weeks of use. The battery life is very short, in my opinion. I had a 5 hour meeting today, where I only had to listen, and the battery died at 4 hours. I also have tiny ear canals and even with the over the ear holders so they don’t have to be all the way in, and the smallest ear piece, my ear canals start to ache around an hour. That’s more of a my body issue, but still a frustration due to the cost, especially when the battery life is not long enough to use at work for long meetings. The last set I bought did not come with different sizes for the ear bud, these do. I was able to swap them for the small, and they fit well, not perfect but I have really small ear canals so it’s me. I got an over the ear accessory that works with these so that if they do pop out, mostly when doing things that make me sweat.I have a work phone and personal phone, and love that I can pair these to both and they work. I am able to pair them to my Dell work computer, as well, so that is nice.

Third Pair of the Pro – Still a champ

Bought the original Airpod Pro and it was great. Loved the noise cancellation and the fit. Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped one in some water. The good news was that it kept working. The bad news was that it started having issues over time. It finally gave out so I had to buy another one.I love the new feature where you are able to adjust the volume right from the ear piece. It takes a bit of trial and error though to figure out that you don’t just slide up/down the button on the ear piece. The end of the notch is where the sound adjustment happens. The sliding up with a bit of a hit at the top or the bottom will turn the volume up or down respectively.I have not tried other in-ear noise cancelling headsets so I can’t say how this compares to those other in-ear ones. However, I do own the Bose 700, an over the head noise cancelling headset. I have tried both of these on an international flight. The results were very comparable to me. I like the in-ear design so you can put your head down easier. Furthermore, because the microphones for the noise cancelling function is not covered by the headrest or your pillow, the in-ear design actually works better if you are trying to get some rest.Overall, a great product.

    Buy for convience, not sound

the title says it all. airpod pros are great in all aspects other than sound quality. the sound isnt bad, dont get me wrong, but its just not great. it sounds good enough for everything from music to videos and phone calls. if there was a custom eq, that would literally make these the undisputed earbuds in all aspects. I actually prefer my knockoff $70 earbuds for music. i love bass and these things have none, despite having 10mm drivers.unless you are an audiophile or you plan to only use these earbuds to listen to music in your room, then these are for you. In all other aspects, these buds are great, especially if you have an iphone. the transparency mode is great (you can customize it in your phones settings once you click on your buds in the bluetooth section) and so is the conversation awareness. i wanted buds that were versatile since i wanted to use them on the move. These also have industry leading noise cancellation (all noise cancellation doesnt eliminate all sound, just background sound and muffles loud sounds). their adaptive NC is also pretty cool. not enitrely noticable until you turn on the fan in the bathroom or turn on water in your sink; then the ANC kicks in. works well in busy enviroments.spacial audio is kinda cool, makes sound fun as you play around. works really well with movies, but for music i turn it off.only buy if you plan on using these for more than music, but also videos and podcasts and such. dont buy if you plan to only use them at home. these are great when your on the go or on a worksite.if you want really good earbuds strictly for listening to music in your home, then check out the status between 3 ANC eatbuds. they look bulky but for a good reason. sound is out of thsi world, bass, mids, and treble thanks to its triple driver system.they also have transparency and noise cancelling, just not as good as apple. get them for serious music listening, get airpod pro 2s for convenience and on the go.

    These are next level

I work in a mill, and require earmuffs for ear protection. I like having one earbud in to listen to audiobooks while I work. The issue that I run into most is the earbuds not staying in under the ear protection, regular AirPods are plain frustrating in that regard, but these guys are gold. They’re shorter than the regular AirPods, and the rubber fittings are perfect. They don’t hurt my ears after long use, even with the added pressure of ear protection.Outside of work though, the amount of control and customization you’re given is fantastic; I didn’t even realize earbuds could be this great.Hooking them up to my Xbox has made horror games a whole new world of spooky. Full 360 surround experience.Only thing I’d say is the actual charging for the earbuds still requires a clean connection between them and the physical components of the case. With wireless charging, and a $200 price tag, physical contact charging feels like a downgrade. I only really notice this because my job is dusty, and getting dust in there when I’m switching them out worries me that buildup will make it so they can’t charge, and cleaning the area always has a possibility of damaging the components.Overall, I’d say spend the extra money for the pros. I didn’t know earbuds could be this cool.

People on work calls keep asking me what my headset is – because it sounds so good

I finally stopped resisting and got myself a set of airpods, and really wish I had done so sooner. These are every bit of the quality and high standard that’s expected with Apple products (and the premium price to go with it).I needed some kind of hands free earbuds or bluetooth device for Teams and phone calls, and tried all kinds of things, spent over $200 with Jabra and got something that had a complicated app, poor running time, and ultimately was terrible for calls, picking up a lot of noise especially wind noise when outside. Then I bought 2 different Bluetooth headsets from Plantronics and couldn’t find anything approaching an actual good level of quality, even after spending upwards of $100.Syncing the Airpods to my iPad tablet, Windows computer, and Samsung smartphone worked great and was easy. It also seems to do well at “sensing” what device I’m trying to use, if I put the earbuds in while joining a teams call or phone call it usually is already connected without needing to do a lot of switching in the device. Finally, active noise cancelling is a huge benefit. I fly a lot and don’t know what I’d do without noise cancelling on a plane. Finally, the downsides: First, the Find Me software is useless. These are supposed to have Airtags built in, for both the case and the airpods themselves, but it doesn’t seem to work, and it’s a well known problem, with several pages of threads on Apple’s support forums. I’ve tried resetting absolutely everything and my iPad won’t see the airpods on the list, even if it’s connected to them via bluetooth and they’re right next to it. So beware of that, if you’re expecting their AirTag service to find these when you lose them – it won’t. Fortunately you can buy replacement parts, aftermarket cases are as low as $35, and Apple sells individual buds for about $80 each.Second and it goes along with the first problem, but the case lid is “flappy” for a lack of a better word. It doesn’t really latch, which means if you drop the case, the lid is apt to flap open and the airpods will tumble out with it. Which that going along with the problem of the Find Me software not working right becomes a real issue. With Find Me failing you can’t even “beep” them like you’re supposed to be able to do, when I lost them once (cats ended up knocking them off the table then carrying them around the house like toys) I ended up just forcing them to be on in the bluetooth settings (even if not in your ear) and then just playing loud beeps through a youtube video. A far less elegant workaround to a feature that should just work.

    Yes!

I owned the air pods pro prior to purchasing these, I still have my other pair for back up situations. But my Apple Care ran out a few months ago and it was time to upgrade. I searched the Apple 🍎 store among other places before I made the commitment to get these through Amazon. Yes! Amazon has the best deal out there for new AirPodsPro2! Honestly you can’t beat Amazon for these. Plus you are able to add the Apple Care+ to the purchase and don’t have to do anything special you just order them, and these arrived actually a few days earlier than anticipated! Yay. They immediately connected to my iPhone 15 PM and when I went into the my support app on my iPhone, and found my new Air Pods listed there in my devices the 🍎Care+ was already updated without me having to do a single thing. So that was a very streamlined process. I wanted to share that in case anyone out there was wondering, because I was, I’ve never purchased an Apple 🍎 product that didn’t come directly from Apple! These AirPods are fabulous, my last set could never understand my talk to text or my Siri wouldn’t understand what I was saying. These are spot on. I’ve caught maybe two mistakes in a week. Rather than two every text message. So so happy with this. Sounds amazing of course. More options and better battery, also check out the specs. Worth it. Happy I was able to use my Amazon card and pay monthly at checkout. I’m all in with Apple already. Very happy with these headphones I can recommend them from Amazon especially since they’re such a fantastic deal. I hope I’ve enlightened someone out there with my review.

Case update finally for USB C charging – NICE

I was hoping to get a 2nd pair of of Pro Gen 2 Airpods and the price was right as well as the updated design of the case. I use these for audio books, watching movies and videos on my computer as well as some music. The audio quality is very good for Bluetooth but certainly isn’t high end audio. Noise cancellation is great for such a device and more than appreciated at times. In general, phone calls work well and only rare instances of “hiccups” that usually clear themselves up.At the sale price, it was a great buy and glad I got these to go with my phone and computer. I can also say that the Bluetooth connectivity at times is more than amazing at the distance covered away from a source. I have walked outside and had music still playing from my computer and no degredation.I would recommend these to any Apple computer, iPad or iPhone owner. If you are with outer non-Apple devices, you may be better served by some other makes that offer better options for Android or Windows including range of audio codecs.YES I would buy these again.

New feature – equalization with treble boost – better listening experience

This generation of earbuds allows you to – to some degree – set the equalization of the buds to boost the treble if desired, and the sound cancellation is very good – better than the first generation, and they were good. I’m getting old, and my ears (like most people my age) don’t pick up higher frequencies as well, so I need to boost those and lessen the base (it’s mostly all I hear anyway.) Everyone is ga-ga about boosting base, but i need to boost the treble frequencies. These allow you to do that, to a small degree. I wish some smart app writer would come up with an app that would allow me to set frequency response on these as I like – like a regular equalizer board does – rather than “is this better?, is that better?” – that would make these one heck of a product – not only for listening to tunes and movies (which to me are still pretty muddy and way over-based) they would also be one heck of a great hearing aid. I’d pay for that! With the transparent mode boosting treble, it would make conversations much easier, and face it, it’s cool to have white earbuds hanging out of your ears, and uncool to have nasty hearing aids that are at best tinny, uncomfortable, and look like crap. I paid $1000 for such a set, but I like these better – the sound is better and the convenience is better (sound cancellation until I want to hear a conversation – by talking).

Awesome sound quality and awesome pairing!

These earbuds did not disappoint! Of course they pair so easily with my iPhone but very important that they also pair with my laptop! I got a great deal on a laptop from Costco. I just go to the Start menu, Settings and down to devices to connect to through Bluetooth and after I put the earbuds in then do all that, they’re already connected. Sometimes I just have to click on connect and they give a little prompt in my ears to let me know they’re connected. The sound quality is great. I absolutely love the charging case! If you need to use them for hours you can just use one with one charging then trade off and you’ll get I think 24 hours out of it. Not that most people are awake for that long. Some medical staff maybe. These are definitely worth getting! I’ve tried cheaper, kind of pricey earbuds but they just would only pair once and then would not stay paired! It was very frustrating! They would pair and then just disconnect! Even Skullcandy earbuds that are pretty pricey like $60-$80. So you might as well invest in these earbuds that will stay paired and make it so easy for you to listen to music, watch videos or listen to podcasts. Hope this helps!

    I LOVE these

I didn’t know what to expect in fact I was scared because I don’t do well with headphones with the added piece that goes into your ears because they never stay in my ears despite different sizes so I’ve stuck with the 1st-3rd generation main air pods but the other day when I was talking to a friend about the only type of headphones I can wear she said she agrees and she’s the same but got the AirPod pro and they are her favorite so I hesitantly ordered them and just figured I can return them if I don’t like them. To my surprise when I tried them on out of the box, didn’t even switch to a different head they fit so perfectly and snug in my ear and they went in easily no twisting and turning to try and get a good suction or fit and I shook my head and they were not budging or going anywhere. On top of that as if I couldn’t be more amazed I noticed the noise canceling on these are phenomenal just like the air pods max that I have for my laptop and this will come in handy when I ride the bus home from work to cancel out the noises or if I am trying to focus on housework I can slap these on and hyper focus without distraction noises from my kids or husband. I am very happy that I made this purchase

So far, these sound incredible! 6 stars!

I’m 70. I love music. Of course I do, I’m a boomer. Anyway, I also have sound sensitivities. So I’m always looking for audio products and almost always being disappointed. Not because the products are bad, but because of my sensitivity to certain sounds. With that said, my 13-yr old Swiftie of a granddaughter recommended these to me, so I broke down and got them. I should mention that I have a pair of over-the-ear Sony phones with ANC (a must for me) and I like them a lot. But they are bulky, hard to travel with, impossible to sleep with (and I’ve tried!). OK, the sound fidelity on these airpods is simply outstanding. I could use many other superlatives, but suffice it to say that songs I didn’t like very much before, well, they sound a lot better now. And stuff I love is simply face-meltingly wonderful. And the ANC is very, very good, not perfect, but better than I’ve ever used. Buy them, don’t wait like I did!

    use all the time

the noise cancellation is amazing, when i take off my earbuds it’s like im leaving a different dimension. the transparency is pretty great too, when im too lazy to move to take off my earbuds to talk, they either do it themselves, or i press the button. the sound quality is very nice as well, when both earbuds are in it feels like im actually in the movie im watching. the battery on the case is amazing too, after a full 24 hours of being off charge and used, it’s still only at 70%. the earbuds themselves last around 6-10 hours, and they’re pretty comfortable, sometimes i forget i have them in.

Just go ahead and buy them. You’ll like them.

I tried some other pods that were cheaper and returned them. My buddy said to go ahead and pay for the Apple Pros. They’re worth it. I said OK. He was right. I should have started with these. They work seamlessly with iOS devices. The noise cancellation is great; you can adjust it for different modes so you can still hear background noises. The transparent mode makes it easier to hear what’s happening around you. They can be tracked with the Find My app without an Apple tracker. They are comfortable in my ears. They don’t fall out easily. Good battery life. Just go ahead and give Apple their money.

    Excellent earbuds.

Love these earbuds. The noise cancellation is amazing. I fly alot and when I get on the plane I hit the button for noise cancellation and I can’t hear anything but my music. Amazing.Only downside is that they have fallen out several times, but I’m aware of that happening so it really isn’t too much of a problem. Could be that I need to change the rubber tip thingies, but I like the fit of the ones that are on there.I’ve seen others that have a rubber piece that helps secure it in the earlobe, just wondering why Apple hasen’t gone to that yet or even created an add on piece.Other than that I love these things!

    Unexpectedly good

I am typically an over the ear headphone guy but I got these for air travel as I find the sound of the current generation of high bypass fan jets irritating to my ears. The noise cancellation is remarkably good and that alone is probably worth the price. The sound quality is good to excellent depending on the source. It is a little bass heavy at times as I am a fan of Sennheiser Professional cans with a very flat response. And that bass heaviness is only noticed in a bit of rock music, not noticable at all with jazz or classical. The sound produceds is quite analytical. I was a bit disappointed by the fit. I was never able to use the 1st generation Air Pods as they simply fell out of my ears. I thought this one would have a tight fit in the ears. It is a bit but they really cannot be used for work outs on my ears because again they fall out. I have tested the fit per the program included and everything seems to be fine but while better than the old Air Pods, I need something a lot different for workouts. Still a good purchase. They link faster than anything I have owned an seem to work flawlessly switching back a forth between my Mac, my Ipad and my Iphone.

    Still awesome!

I’ve purchased three pairs of these for various family members. I finally got myself a pair after trying out someone else’s and falling in love with them. And since I got them on sale this time, it was very nice. Considering how rare that is, I was very happy. The sound quality is so much better and they come with three ear plug sizes that snap onto the ear piece. There are so many more functions than with the original AirPods. I like these a lot and will never go back. My favorite component is how comfortable they are!!

    Adaptive noise cancelling is INCREDIBLE

I grabbed the 2nd Gen AirPods Pro on sale a few weeks ago to upgrade my 1st Gen pair specifically for the increased noise cancelling performance enabled by the H2 chip. True to Apple’s claims, ANC is more effective and connectivity/switching between my Apple devices is way more reliable than 1st Gen. Here’s a quick rundown of the advantages:- Adaptive mode responds quickly to tune out noise and pass through things like speaking- Better noise cancelling and clearer Transparency mode- Faster/more reliable connecting/switchingSome nice to have things:- USB-C charging <3- MagSafe charging + works with Apple Watch charger- Speakers built into case for FindMy pingsFor most people, this isn't worth the upgrade if you already have 1st Gen (but I HIGHLY recommend upgrading from non-Pro models if you can afford it), but here is why I did it:I've been going to a lot of loud concerts for years, and that has caused some damage to my hearing because I foolishly did not wear proper ear protection for too long. I am now *highly* invested in protecting hearing from further damage, and I've spent plenty of time researching and testing some of the best specialty ear plugs on the market. When the 2nd Gen AirPods Pro came out, I immediately started researching whether ANC can actually protect your ears from exceptionally loud environments like concerts, given the incredible sampling rate enabled by the newer H2 chips. I found several reputable sources that confirmed they work for concerts specifically, so I immediately upgraded my 1st Gen set to test at a show in November.Let me tell you--wow. First of all, well-fitted AirPods Pro block out a ton of sound when they are off. With ANC, outside noise reduction is unbelievable. But the real magic happened when I turned on Adaptive mode. It was like turning the volume down on the entire show to a safe volume without sacrificing sound quality much at all. Only at the absolute loudest volumes—particularly when the bass spiked—did the AirPods noticeably clip from time to time as they tried to quickly adjust to extreme changes in noise levels, but never problematically so.

Are these earbuds worth the cost? Surprisingly yes.

I got these earbuds after debating it for the longest time. My sister had them and raved about them. I had purchased other headphones, but they were lower end and I wasn’t overly impressed. I go through a lot of headphones, being blind and using screen readers and also being a music and audiobook lover. They sound amazing. They have a well balanced sound. But more than that, I love that I can check the battery status right from my phone and it shows me the percentage of my AirPods. I also love that I can play a sound on them if I misplaced them, which happens sometimes. The spatial audio sounds amazing and I love that you can cheer audio with other people with other AirPods or beats. I love the transparency and noise cancellation mode with the ability to have conversation awareness turned on. This really helps when people are talking and it will dim down your volume so you were able to hear the conversation right through your AirPods. It’s super awesome and I would definitely buy these again.

    Very good ear buds

I’ve a very recent Apple Convert but I can say these compare very favorably to all other wireless ear buds I’ve tried. I have worn Sony, Bose, etc and these sound pretty on-par with similar ANC and WAY better pairing. I still don’t love a lot of things about iOS but the way these pair is pretty unbeatable. The Sony’s did very good with that as well but I can’t say they were even nearly as seamless.Overall I highly recommend if you have an iPhone.

    Take the Plunge

These are my first pair of AirPods. It took me years to justify the expense but I got these on Prime Day. Wow, I will never use any other cheaper things ever again. The noise cancellation actually made me jump. It completely makes everything around me silent, especially amazing for public transport. I use them everywhere, while doing chores, at the beach, at the market, and the best part is that you can set them so that you can still hear everything around you along with the music for safety. If you are on the fence absolutely purchase these, they are 100% worth the price I regret nothing. Watch a video on the different commands you can use with them!

Prefer these to the Sony WF-1000XM5

The Airpod Pro 2 are much more comfortable to me than the Sony WF-1000XM5. I also pair these with Comply foam tips for the AirPod Pro 2. At first the AirPods Pro 2 did not sound as full and deep as the Sonys. However now I use the Boom App on the iPhone and the AirPods might actually sound better than the Sonys now. Nice punchy bass, clean mids. The highs lack sparkle but all earbuds I’ve used suffer this problem. The noise cancelling is excellent. I really love these things. I am quite picky about sound quality and I find these earbuds to be quite good …. for earbuds.

    Great for the price

Have have gone through a lot of wireless earbuds, raycon, JVC, skull candy, and I will say, that the airpod pros 2 are the best I have ever had. They live up to the hype. My personal phone is a pixel 7 pro. But my work phone is an iPhone 14. They work very well with my pixel, but they are next level on my iPhone. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve misplaced them and been able to find with with the iPhone find my device, the sound quality is good, but the 3 modes you can put them in is amazing. Nosie cancelling, active noise cancelling (you can hear people talking to you, but if there is a loud noise it cuts that out) and pass-through (feels like they aren’t even in) are unbelievable.I would recommend if these are in your budget, get a pair and try them out.

I have never had air pods before and I am amazed at how much I use them! I love listening to music and the sound quality is amazing. But, another GREAT use for them is just quiet time! The noise cancellation is crazy good, it drowns out the tv and conversations if I want to read or do something without hearing all the noise my family makes! Great sound and noise cancelling

I have a pair of Samsung ANC earbuds, Beats Pro ANC earbuds and Bose q35 ANC. They are all good and worked quite well. since I recently switched my phone back from samsung ultra s22 to iPhone, I decided to get a new pair of AirPod pro.I think the sound on these AirPod pros are better than Samsung, Beats Pro. They are probably on par with the Bose Q35(headphones).Comfort wise, these are definitely better than the Samsung and same as the Beats pro.Overall, I bought these when they were on sale and given the lower price, I would recommend these over the Samsung and the Beats Pro.

    Easy to get lost

The noise cancellation is pretty good for the little thing. However, Bose NC 700 and QC 45 do it better. I like the sound signature of Apple a lot.It is convenient. It is good for first-person shooting gaming. I think the directional sound is better on this thing than on Bose headphones, even though this is much cheaper.Con:This thing always slips out of my pocket. I lost one on my out-of-state trip. I guess a case will help.

I had a pair of far less expensive earbuds- these are an order of magnitude better

I had a pair of earbuds I got from a big box store, I probably paid $50. These do cost more but if you have multiple Apple devices, they are worth it. Switching among TV phone iPad and iMac is painless, which wasn’t the case with the cheaper ones I used to have. I used to use wired earbuds but that meant carrying adaptors around. Apple charges a premium but Amazon and other retailers do put them on sale from time to time.

I bought these airpods 2 pro because they were supposed to be able to be used as hearing aids. It took a while to figure it out, but was so worth it. But I haven’t had to ask people to repeat what they said every 3 minutes.

    Very good

I love my AirPods and am very happy that I bit the bullet and got them! The only thing that knocks it down a star is that they don’t fit all the way in my ears. My ears are on the smaller size and sometimes I’m talking, eating, and (let’s be honest) singing, they will slowly start to fall out. I’ve tried all the different bud sizes, but same issue with all of them. This does not stop me from using them and I can normally feel it slipping and catch it before it falls. Doesn’t stop me or slow me down, just a tad inconvenient. Still love them and use them on the daily!

    Love them

Nothing to dislike about these…they do come with the c-cable for the charger so if you don’t want one of those I suggest not getting this generation of AirPod pros. However, the sound quality as you can expect is immaculate. Noice cancellation, the volume turns down when it hears someone talking to you ( which could sometimes be annoying), they fit amazingly, charge relatively quick, you can track them to find them if they are lost, you can mute and unmute by just one tap on them if your on a call, when you first connect them to your phone it goes over how they operate. Good luck 👍🏼

    best earphones i’ve ever owned

the sound quality and bass of these earphones are clear and exceptional for listening to both music and podcasts; it’s like i’m hearing all of my favorite music again with new ears, including background harmonies and production qualities that i didn’t notice before. they are so lightweight and comfortable, and i haven’t had any issues with them falling out, which was a concern for me as someone who goes to the gym and wears glasses. they connected to my apple devices quickly and effortlessly, and they’re very aesthetically beautiful and stylish in person. the noise cancellation feature is excellent and effectively blocks out background noise, sometimes so much so that i’m unaware of my surroundings, but the level of noise cancellation and volume can be adjusted based on your surroundings. there is also a feature where siri can read your notifications as they come in, which some people may find useful. you can answer, mute, unmute, and end calls by pressing them, and there are even more features that i haven’t played with yet. they are SO worth the hype and the price tag. i am beyond satisfied with my purchase, and as a music lover, i think they’re really going to improve my quality of life. i will never go back to any other earphone brand. thank you!

    Really really really good.***Update***

I am a rare duck in the tech space as I really don’t have a preference between Android and iOS. I have traditionally carried an Android phone and used Apple tablets and laptops. I just honestly find Samsung’s innovation in hardware more intriguing. That said, I recently bought a new iPhone 15 Pro for a second phone to leave in my house and saw these new Airpods on sale, so I scooped them. The move to USBC convinced me I need to try both. I have used darn near every credible earbud that has come to market in the last four years. Sony, Bose, B&W, Anker, Apple, Beats, Sennheiser, and many others. I have been chasing the perfect set. I think I found them here or, at the very least, found the closest thing there is to perfection. Here are my thoughts on the new Airpods Pro2:Sound: This is the one area that they don’t win hands down, but they sound great. Many of my buds feature larger more well tuned drivers. Some even have dual drivers. Many have the option to upscale to more lossless sound by using AptX. None of that is here, but what Apple has done with sound is commendable. There is good separation between the highs, mids, and lows. Unlike previous Airpods, these things bring a very solid low end that can rumble a bit. I am not an audiophile, but these sound really good. I still think that the new Sony buds and Sennheiser buds are better but it isn’t a landslide. Apple has nailed it with active noise cancelling here as well. While the Bose Quiet Comfort buds are still the GOAT for me, these are at least as good as the runner up from Sony. These block out all but the most sudden noises. Really good all around.Call quality: These are easily the best there is for calls. It really isn’t close. They do an unbelievable job of masking background noise so folks on the other end can hear you. I was on a call with a friend who was using them as well and his son was in the background gaming. He was yelling at the game and, occasionally when he spoke, I could pick up on it a bit, but only when he spoke. The processing here is just so good.Form Factor: I hate stem style buds generally, but these are solid. They are light and have real balance in the ear. I think because the Pro’s have silicone tips they just work better for me. The squeeze functionality makes these so accurate to use when compared to others that rely on tapping and the swipe volume control is really outstanding. For my ears, and this is subjective for sure, these are all day comfortable. You get a solid IP54 water and dust resistance, so these will hold up well in the gym.Battery Life: These are average in this space when compared with their peers. I am getting about five hours on bud. You get another three to four charges from the case. Many others are better here, but I find battery life to be perfectly acceptable for everyday use.Intangibles: There are almost too many things to mention here. First, the case is, as always, the best in the business. It is tiny, solid, packs a great battery, and has the most satisfying magnetic click when closing. I love the spatial audio. It is gimmicky but really fun when it is executed properly during a show or movie. The speech detection is amazing. As is the easy pairing and use on the iPhone. Find my buds is the BOMB. There is so much more that I will update later. These are very well thought out. Conclusion: For me, Apple has crushed it here. Having FINALLY moved to USBC (even if it took the EU to force them) makes all Apple things so much better. These buds might not be the best at much, but they are very good at everything. I can honestly say that these are the best buds on the market. Will I use others for different occasions? Yes, but I doubt that as long as I have an iPhone, I will use many of them often. Buy these now with complete and total confidence. Wow Apple, just wow! Well done!***Update*** So, I am three weeks in with these and I have a couple of other thoughts I should add. First, the thing that jumps off the page to me is the speaker built into the case. I have owned dozens of buds and this is a first to me. It is awesome. The case chimes when the buds are properly returned to the case. You get a low battery notification and it is also used to “find my AirPods.” It is simply brilliant and an example of how thoughtful some of Apple’s designs are. The case is simply next level and that means more than most people think since you interact with it regularly. The other thing that stands out is how much customization there is and how intuitive it is to set up in your settings. Sony offers similar customization and, in some ways more, but it takes a lot more work. Like I said, there are better options for a lot of things, but the polish and attention to detail here from Apple make these a clear winner overall. If you are on the fence, don’t be. I will update with anything else but these are easily the best all around buds on the market. Buy with confidence

    A nice upgrade

The button and microphone on one of my iPod Pro 1st gen. stopped working. So, I upgraded for Christmas. The upgrade was worth the money. Sound quality for music is excellent and for calls is very nice, and the noise canceling works really well. I did not have to get rid of my Comply tips either. The adaptive mode is interesting. If you sing with the music, it kicks in, and so you have to change to another mode. If you talk to yourself, it kicks in. It is great when you want it, and a nuisance when you don’t.Changes I would suggest: In the adaptive mode, when I speak, the volume would mute, but the song or audiobook would continue. So, when the volume increased, I would miss the portion of the music or book. It would be nice if it paused and then resumed.Second, the volume control takes a great deal of practice. I still can’t seem to get it to work right, and there are not any instructions to help. It is not that important, and I could look up for some help.Other than that, the buds work as expected. Battery life is acceptable, and I noticed they charge very quickly. When they are charging, I have Pinnacle P1s that provide great sound.

Impressive and a huge upgrade from the gen 1

I had the original AirPods Pro and loved the ease of use but always needed better audio quality. I’ve used a handful of headphones and always loved my Sony headphones for the audio but they never came close to the AirPods passthrough. The gen 2 however has been a surprising upgrade from the gen 2 especially in the sound quality. I think these now compete with my Sony headphones and the passthrough is phenomenal. My favorite feature of these is the new adaptive sound setting. It will automatically decrease passthrough of sounds from things like sinks air dryers and generally loud or disruptive sounds allowing me to hear my music in almost every space. I know Sony had a feature like this but they didn’t seamlessly switch between passthrough and cancelling like this does and with no input from the user. In addition to that there is a setting to intelligently increase and decrease volume based on your surroundings so that you can always hear and I love it, it works so well. The next best thing is the passthrough turning on and lowering volume of audio while speaking then returning to noise cancelling after done with no input just automatically and quickly.

Daily user of over 3 years

Great Apple product that syncs well within their ecosystem. My thoughts below on it’s most useful features, pros and cons, and overall review.1. Noise Cancellation:The noise cancellation feature is fantastic, although not the best you can get if you’re looking for close to 100% cancellation. However, this noise cancellation is plenty enough for daily use purposes (block out city noise, ambient noise, almost all plane rumblings, etc.) The other pass through option is also extremely useful and you will find yourself using it most, if not all the time while listening to music or simply just having the ear buds sitting in your ears.2. Fit, Sizing, and Comfort:SIzing on the tips comes in different sizes, so finding a good fit won’t be much of a problem. For those who can never find a good fit, they make customer or specialized ear hole tips (purchased separately) that can be attached on with eaze. I can also wear these up until they die (4-6 hours depending on use) and have even fallen asleep with them on with no trouble. I find these ear hole tips an upgrade from the version without rubber tips as it keeps the Airpod from falling out of your ears during movement.3. Pros/Cons:Honestly, the pros outweigh the cons. The list of features and technology on this device are amazing and have daily use cases. The only con I can possibly think of is that they don’t have the highest grade of noise cancellation, but as I stated before it is plenty enough for almost all your use cases.Final thoughts:Great product, easy to get them running and super easy to use on the daily. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of wireless earbuds.

    Absolutely worth it, to me.

I understand the rave reviews. The audio quality is outstanding for a Bluetooth device. I’m 65, yet even at very low volume high/mid/ low pitches are sharp and clear. The active noise cancelling completely muffles sounds as diverse as barking dogs, TVs, a crackling fireplace, and the high-volume cacophony found driving a semi at 80mph. I don’t have to *pretend* I don’t have to pretend I didn’t hear my wife and her honey-do list.I do find the conversational awareness feature is.. a little slow to recognize I’m talking or somebody’s else is. It’s only a couple seconds, but that’s enough to sometimes miss important data. Still, going into it with that in mind, it’s an outstanding feature.I’d love to go *squeee*! over the spacial audio. I would, if virtually everybody else weren’t doing the exact same thing. I will simply say I wish I’d bought a SA device when they first came out. It’s scary good. Even after a month or more of using these daily, I still marvel at it.Phone calls in noisy environments could be better. While I can hear the other end just fine even if I’m standing next to a loud generator, the microphone control/noise cancelling makes it difficult for the person on the other end to understand me. My Bluetooth headset- with a boom mic- handles this much better. Yes, there’s a huge difference in both the distance from mouth to mic and in the actual direction of the sounds from my mouth. Apple has done a great job, but.. a headset with a boom mic would do you better for phone calls in a noisy environment. The manual controls on the stem are a nice idea. They probably work well if you have normal sized fingers. My hands and fingers are larger that those of most people. While I can use the stem control, I generally have to be a little careful or I’ll send the wrong signal. It’s not a big issue and I’ve acclimated to it, and it’s to be expected with the shorter stems on the Pro version. The system works well, just be prepared for a learning curve, even if it is shallow. For me and my use- mostly listening to audio with maybe two calls a day- a full charge lasts pretty close to five hours. Nothing I’ve done really makes much of a difference.I’ve found that charging the Air Pods from zero to 100% takes about half an hour in the supplied MagSafe charger. The charger itself takes about the same amount of time to go from 40% to 90+%. Less than an hour to reach 100%. Note, I don’t have a wireless charger. I plug it into a 2W wall brick. The case would probably charge a lot faster on a good wireless pad.One thing I don’t like, though I can’t really offer a better solution is that I can’t tell the charge status of the case without the air pod inside. Yes, there’s an amber/green momentary LED on the case, but is too broad an indicator for my taste. To get an accurate figure, you have to put the air pods in the charging case and open it near your phone or iPad. That’s … clunky. I know other systems would use more power, but call me obsessive. Maybe just let me ask Siri?Air Pods Pro (v2) comes with four sets of silicone tips that are easily changed to fit your ear canal. They are very comfortable and are part of the noise cancellation system. For all that Apple should be lauded for not trying to go with a “one size fits all “ solution, none of the tips actually fit me all that well. While all sizes did their job noise cancelling, after an hour or so they need to be reseated. On more than one occasion I’ve had an air pod fall out of my ear while I’m simply walking. It’s much worse if I’m eating or talking. I honestly don’t know how they could do a better job given the job requirements, just be aware these don’t fit deep in the ear canal like hearing aids. Finally, the color. At first I was mildly unhappy that white is the only color choice. After having the fall out of my ear more than once and simply dropping them because I’m clumsy, I’ve come to realize the color is a brilliant choice. Basically, they’re easy to find no matter where I’ve dropped them. I didn’t even have much of a problem when I dropped one in a foot of snow. All in all, the Apple Air Pods Pro (v2) aren’t perfect. There’s definitely room for improvement. But not much. They’re quite a bit more expensive than I really wanted to pay. But, having done so, I’m glad I did. There are better similar audio systems out there, but they aren’t – in my opinion- worth the price difference. I almost gave them 5 stars, but.. the charge status system just annoys me. It’s just too clunky. In spite of that, I’m very glad I opted to spend the bucks to get Apple Air Pods Pro.

Great buds, great audio, great fidget toy, wireless charging and so much more 🙂

Having recently upgraded to the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the plethora of features they offer. I am well and truly in the Apple ecosystem of products with an iPhone 14 Pro Max, Macbook Pro, iPad and Apple TV – so having a pair of earbuds that just effortlessly switches between devices depending on which one I am using is a GAME CHANGER. No more having to disconnect from one and re-connect to another every time I switch between phone/laptop.The noise cancellation is the best I’ve experienced HANDS DOWN! I love the wireless charging and the USB-C charging which lets me use the same cable I use with all my other devices. The design is as you’d expect! The case could act as a fidget toy lol.One issue I’ve had is that the eartips just don’t work as well as I’d like. My airpods pro CONTINUOUSLY fall out – an issue I didn’t have with the regular ones. But thankfully after buying some memory foam tips that problem has been all but taken care of.Very happy I upgraded from my cheap Sony wireless buds! Just buy em already!

HUGE improvement over my Bose Quiet Comfort 35 headphones

To be fair, the QC35s are older, but, if you look at the noise reduction curve and compare it to the AirPods Pro 2, you wouldn’t think there would be much of a difference (I was worried about that, on paper it doesn’t look like a huge upgrade). There is, the difference is night and day. The QC35s served me well, but the AirPods Pro 2 do a substantially better job at masking HVAC noise, and even television. My kitchen table has a direct line of sight to the TV in the family room. I’d say where I sit and where the TV is is probably 25 to 30 feet away and I can’t hear the TV when other family members are watching. I’m currently sitting at the counter of the coffee shop in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex at Northeastern University. There’s two students about 12 feet away chatting up a storm about statistics. The ANC is blocking out most of the noise from the espresso machines, and if I put on some music at a very low volume, I can hardly hear anything else. It’s kind of like the Cone of Silence from Get Smart… although in this case it’s actually silent. I know some people go to coffee shops to work. I’m not one of those people. I cannot concentrate if there’s chit chat and other noise distractions happening around me. With these ear buds, I could play some ambient noise (birds chirping, babbling brook, etc.) and actually get work done.Audio quality… they’re sometimes a bit bass heavy, this tends to be more of an issue with music that was mastered for Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos mixes tend to be hit or miss. Norah Jones’ debut album which has been remastered for Dolby Atmos for example is fantastic. Other mixes, not so much. YMMV. This however is not a function of the AirPods, but rather the mastering treatment. If you switch over to just stereo, things are balanced again.Comfort – They work for my ears/physiology. That might not be the case for everyone.Compared to my 2nd gen AirPods… love the “transparency” feature which automatically reduces the volume of whatever you’re listening to, turns off the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), and uses the built in mics so you can hear what’s going on around you. This can be set to automatically engage when you start talking. There’s some cool accessibility features as well, but I’m not using them.

    Ok… not a hi-5 item from Apple

I wanted an ear pod that can have its battery replaced. There were a number of choices. Since I’m already an Apple user, it is only natural to choose the AirPod.., there are 2 choices…1. The regular AirPod &2. The AirPod ProHaving reviewed online by some gurus, I’ve decided on the latter for a slightly higher price of better sound quality and a few rubber ear pieces of different sizes, plus the possibility of using it as a hearing aids. The item arrived in perfect condition. But disappointed to NOT see any detailed operating instructions. As usual, b4 using the pair, I charged them fully first. The pair already had about 70% charge. So it did not take long to charge it fully. Then I put them on… I hardly get any sound. I saw the brief leaflet to rub the stem up and down to adjust volume. But there were no written instructions on how to do this. I rubbed the stems of both units. No luck. Then I went to my phone to see if I could raise the volume. No luck either.Alright, I could tolerate that for now. I played some YouTube videos. But I was surprised that the charge rapidly decreased. Not good.Realizing the holder case can act as a charger while on the road, so I put them back to the case. Fairly quickly, (less than 30 minutes), they were fully charge. Good. After using the paid for a day or two, I went online to look for ways to raise or lower volume. Turns out that only the stem on the right side unit has that function, there was a short strip of flat surface on the stem that a user can rub it up to raise or down to change volume. Got it. I’m still getting used to this feature. Clumsily changing the volume as I use it.Then I watched a video on how to setup the pair to act as hearing aids. This part is still a puzzle. So far, no luck. I haven’t given up on this yet.In reality I don’t expect this gadget ti effectively enhance hearing. Not a deal breaking thing. And Apple does not claim this product as hearing aids. Also, on the side of the charging case, there is a place that a user can attach a lanyard for carrying around. There was no such lanyard included in the package. But the package came with a usb-c to lightning cable. I don’t need it.I think I’m going to keep this pair as music enjoyment.
