GREAT PC for a 1440p setup!

I recently purchased the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR Gaming PC (GXiVR8040A14), and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The Intel Core i7-13700F paired with the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti delivers exceptional performance, making it a powerhouse for gaming and multitasking. The inclusion of 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD ensures quick load times and smooth operation. Setting up the system was a breeze. I appreciate the attention to detail in the design, with a sleek and well-ventilated case that not only looks great but also keeps the components cool during intense gaming sessions. The Wi-Fi readiness is a convenient feature, eliminating the need for additional accessories. Overall, the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR Gaming PC offers fantastic value for its specifications, making it an excellent choice for gamers and power users alike. I’m thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable and high-performance gaming PC.

    Excellent gaming PC

I’ve had a Cyberpower PC for about 7 years and it never let me down. In 2023 I was able to play Cyberpunk 2077 on high settings even with a mere Nvidia GTX 1060 (3 GB) and that machine’s now-ancient Intel i7-7700. But I felt it was time to upgrade and after a good week or two of comparisons I decided on this machine. What you should know right away is that this is a great computer if you’re gaming at 1080 (which many sources agree is the best ratio for gaming, things get trickier at 4K and above). I ran a performance test from Cpu User Benchmark and the computer’s results were “UFO” in all categories, the site’s highest possible grade. This unit comes with an Intel i7-13700F, a 16GB Nvidia RTX 4060 ti, and 16 GB of DDR5 ram. The motherboard is an MSI Pro B760 VC wi-fi, a solid board from a reliable brand (though the parts in this computer may differ from user to user depending on what’s available when it’s built). This is a solid, solid machine. It might not be the same as an ultra-insane $5,000 supercomputer but if you have that kind of cash lying around you’re better off sailing on your yacht anyway. There was much talk of the RTX 4600 being an awful video card so if you’re aware of that you may be reluctant to go for this build. The problem wasn’t that the card itself was bad though, only that it wasn’t seen as enough of a performance jump over the previous generation of cards to warrant the price. Even so, this card is specifically the 4060 *ti*, a better version of the card, and one that also has 16 GB of video ram rather than the 8 GB on the standard 4060, an amount that may soon be insufficient for gaming. This card is VERY good for gaming. In the aforementioned Cyberpunk, for example, my previous 1060 build ran the game at about 60-70 FPS with settings high and ray-tracing, a notorious FPS hog, turned off. On this new machine I ran the same game with ray tracing turned ON and every setting at maximum and averaged a fantastic 110 FPS. With ray tracing turned back off it reached as high as 145. Cyberpunk is regularly featured in tests of the most demanding modern games, so if this computer runs it that well I’m confident about its overall performance. The solid state drive also loads the game incredibly fast, about 8 seconds from clicking “continue game” to actually playing it, a massive jump from the 30 or so seconds it took for my previous hard drive. I’m satisfied that this computer will keep me gaming for years. One thing that needs to be noted is the computer’s CPU fan, which several users have said is inadequate. While the computer does come with just a simple air cooler, my temperatures have so far been perfectly fine. At idle (desktop, internet, etc.) I’m getting an excellent 32-35 degree average. During gameplay my average was about 70-80, with a peak at about 85. Some may think that this is overly hot but my previous build was averaging 45 at idle and about 90 for gaming and it ran for years. All the same I do understand the desire to have the best cooling to ensure the proper lifespan. Some people have said that the i7-13700 runs hot, so you may want to invest in a stronger cooler. Other reviewers mentioned getting a “Peerless Assassin” so I did the same. It was around $30, very affordable if you want that extra piece of mind.Setting up the computer was incredibly easy. I wondered how this would work being that the machine does not come with a dvd drive, the only way I’ve ever installed Windows in the past. I was quite surprised (and intrigued) by the fact that the installer comes in the form of a little paperboard USB stick. You simply snap the stick from the “card” that it’s mounted to (don’t throw it away when you open the box!), plug it into a USB slot, and turn the computer on. That’s it. Windows will install, and you don’t even need to mess with the BIOS or install drivers to get the computer to recognize the mouse and keyboard (which I’ve had to do when reformatting other computers in the past). Once running, the computer ran a program to get the drivers it needed. I didn’t even have to install any Windows runtimes, something that’s normally required before you can play games. Everything in this computer was just ready, plain and simple. After having gone through a month-long headache of messing with replacement parts on an unrelated computer, this was very much appreciated. Speaking of mouse and keyboard this computer comes with very nice ones, which I’ll keep for backup for when my current ones break down.I don’t have much more to say, really. The RGB lights are beautiful, adjustable and come with a simple remote control. The device supports wifi and is apparently bluetooth enabled. Anything I’ve plugged into it, from a USB headset to an Xbox1 controller, works immediately. My gaming test delivered excellent results. The computer’s performance test gave back the highest rating on CPU User Benchmark. The parts are modern and the machine was incredibly easy to set up. So far I can’t think of anything I don’t like about this machine, and if it holds up as well as my previous Cyberpower unit I’ll be happy with it for years to come.Should anything major change I’ll come back and update this review. As it stands, I am more than pleased with my purchase.EDIT 12-8-23: I’ve received and installed the Peerless Assassin 120 cooler that I mentioned in my review and it’s definitely made a significant difference in temperatures. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 with the computer’s standard cooler yielded temps between about 75-95 degrees on average. With the PA cooler I’m playing the same game at an average of about 55-60, no higher (so far) than 70, and I’ve gained about 10 FPS in the process. If you’d like to extend the lifespan of your CPU I can now recommend replacing the stock fan with the PA 120 or another highly-reviewed cooler.

    Best budget pc

Smoothest set up, runs amazingly, the instructions would be helpful for anyone not knowing how to set up a desktop. Definitely worth the order. I love the tempered glass too! I couldn’t have asked for a better pc to start off with.

This might be the lower-cost gamer PC you have been looking for.

Hi – I had to send back the 12 GB GPU version of this computer as it showed up DOA when delivered. That was disappointing. I decided to trust the company and order the 16 GB GPU version with the 13th generation I7 CPU. Package was shipped securely, and setup was easy and quick. It ships with 16 GB of RAM so I quickly added another 32 GB to that (DDR5). It has a 1 TB SSD main drive and adding in extra drives was super-easy. Tons of room and connections in the very spacious, and rather large case, and the lighting is so very cool. Remote control over the lighting sequence, as well as on or off. A bit juvenile but nice none the less. 4 quiet case fans, and one CPU fan keep things cool.PC started up with no issues and is faster than a stabbed rat. I had one ‘blue screen of death’ issue, but that was cleared up fast and easily. All games so far run on Ultra or Extreme video settings (Sniper Elite 4/5, Forza, etc…). Provided USB-wired keyboard and mouse are not the best, but adequate. For now, I am happy and excited about the gaming experience. I moved up from an 8+ year-old HP business PC so it’s like I am driving a Porsche, rather than a delivery van.As always, Amazon is great and very fast shipping to me in California. No need for tech support yet.Check it out and I’ll update this review as I get more time with the new PC. Stay safe out there.**January 2024 Update**It’s been a while using the new PC so I thought I would give a quick update. Very satisfied and happy. Boots up quick and easy and I have had no problems with it. Very fast and fun to use. Runs cool and handles all my music recording/production with ease.

So far this has been rock solid, definitely pleased.

I’ve been using this new PC for about 3 weeks now, and it’s truly exceeded my expectations for its price point. Its speed is remarkable (coming from a 4th gen I7 and integrated graphics), breezing through both GPU and CPU intensive tasks with impressively. This level of performance makes it an ideal choice for demanding software applications, gaming or AI and ensures a smooth and efficient user experience. One of the highlights for me was the ease of setup. It was refreshingly straightforward, allowing me to get up and running quickly without any technical headaches. The design of the case is another plus – it’s not only visually appealing but also well-built and spacious, I’m not much of an LED guy but I was able to control the RGB settings rather easily. While there were a few minor hiccups, such as the need to manually install some standard Windows programs and a fan that’s a bit louder than I’m used to, these issues were relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. The PC did come with Windows 11 Home, and I opted to upgrade for additional features, but this was a small step in the context of an otherwise excellent experience. So far this PC has been outstanding. The positives far outweigh the minor inconveniences, making it a fantastic choice for anyone in need of a reliable and powerful computing solution.

Updated: Looks great, works great (so far), red DRAM light on

Recently purchased, easy to install out of the box. As other reviews have mentioned, runs a bit hot and noisy. Will update the review over timeUpdate: DRAM light comes on randomly. Temperature stays really high even on light usage.

    First Gaming PC

My first gaming PC ever. I bought this one simply suggested by gamer friends saying it’s a good deal, reasonably priced. Love the slick glassy case with fancy fan lightings. It’s amazing how quiet it runs. Most importantly I don’t have any issue running games that I am playing. Runs smoothly.

A good gaming computer at a moderate price.

I recently purchased the CyberPowerPc when my previous PC was damaged, and I needed a replacement that was reasonably priced and could run simulation games. The unit came quickly, and the setup was easy. Overall, I am very pleased with this PC, as it runs the games at a level of performance that meets my needs. The unit has great features such as Blue Tooth, USB 3, and WIFI, but I had to expand the memory beyond 16GB because I run virtualization on the unit. One thing I dislike about this PC is that it shipped without decent fan control. Even when running simple tasks like web searches, my fans would speed up, which was driving me crazy. However, after using ASRock Fantastic utility, I was able to tune my fans to eliminate the fan noise except while gaming. The Intel Core i7-13700 runs a little hot (up to 100 degrees Celsius), so make sure you know what you are doing when tuning the fans.Don’t expect great performance out of the RTX 4060 TI, as it is not the state of the art GPU and is only suitable for moderate games. However, I purchased this system knowing its capabilities and needs, and it suits me well. Just understand that it has limitations. The other features include the ability to upgrade the system with other components like an SSD drive and an additional NVMe drive. While they tucked away some power connections I needed for my SSD drive, with a little help from cutters, I was able to retrieve the necessary power cable to power up the SSD drive. Overall, I would recommend this PC to anyone l

    After lots of research

I landed on this PC after weeks of researching what would work best for me. I wanted something that can be unboxed and turned on. Coming over from Playstation, I had a idea of what games I was wanting to play and used benchmark sites to plug in the details of this machine. It works better than I expected and plays on par with any console I have owned, if not better. The fans kick on and run most of my gameplay, but the case remains cool to touch. I have it HDMI’d up to my 60in tv as a monitor and the resolution is awesome. Highly recommended if you want a great machine and did the research to ensure it will handle the games you are wanting to play.

Great, especially if you’re just starting

I was worried because I saw reviews about it being shipped DOA but mine showed up just fine. They take care in the packaging on the outside & inside of the pc to protect the hardware. Starting it up was super easy, just setting up windows & thats pretty much it. I did go into the BIOS to do some optimization but found that they already did pretty much everything id do already. I’m not like a HARDCORE competitive gamer or anything but I’ve been running alot of new games at 1440p with high settings & i havnt had any problems. All around its been pretty much killing it so far. I think its a SOLID starting point for someone just starting out like me.

    Amazing pc after one tweak

I bought this pc after seeing a deal for it currently and i must say i am not disappointed. The 13700 is great for me streaming and gaming however the cooler was subpar at best. I replaced it simply with theThermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB and it works as smooth as can be.

    Gaming PC on a budget

My very first gaming PC, I’m very impressed for the price I got it. The setup was very simple, would recommend for people who want to get into gaming on a PC, but don’t know how to build one themselves like me.

    Pretty and fast

The delivery was fast (I had it securely delivered to Whole Foods for a safe and quick pick up – say no to porch thieves!), the set up was easy, and the PC is fabulous. Not only is it great to look at but it is running games so much better than my previous PC. Highly recommend!

GREAT price & even better capability!

I have finally chosen to purchase a pre-built computer instead of assembling components myself thanks to CyberPower. I was blown away by the value of this machine, it checked all the boxes I was looking for and it was cheaper than even the individual components added up.$1100 Black Friday 2023.Bonus, it came with a powerful enough PSU to even add a second graphics card to power 2nd and 3rd monitors, keeping upgrade costs to a minimum.Well done CyberPower.

Great computer but it is imparative to upgrade the CPU fan.

I just got this computer this past weekend and I read the reviews about the poor CPU fan prior to purchasing it but decided to go with it anyway because a decent CPU fan isn’t that expensive and I can just put it in myself. Let me tell you these reviews were not wrong, the CPU temp reached +90 degrees while just downloading a game. I will not power this computer on until swapping the fan and I suggest you do the same. Some advice, just buy a CPU fan with this computer in the same order, there is no way it will cool it enough and isn’t worth the risk. I still think it is a decent buy because of the beefy CPU and GPU for a good price, I will update the review after swapping the CPU fan and test how it runs games. I am upgrading from a 1660 so this should be a very big difference.Update: Just swapped the CPU fan and it makes a world of difference. CPU temps now only hit around 70c which is a major improvement. I’m still going to stick with 3 stars because a prebuilt computer really shouldn’t require any modifications in order for it to safely run but if you don’t mind getting a new CPU fan then it’s a good purchase.

Cyperpowerpc is a quality built PC.

Purchased 02/02/2024 it very fasts and works great with gaming. I also enjoy how quite this PC is very little noise. You can’t believe prices for all the upgrades you get with this computer. Other prebuilt gaming computers were around $200 more for the same hardware.

This PC was an awesome upgrade from my last PC.

I use this PC mostly to play FPS games and mess around in Photoshop, video editing, etc. It was super easy to set up. The only drawback I found, which isn’t much of an issue now as I’ve gotten used to it, the fans on the GPU get loud during graphics-intensive gameplay. If you wear a headset you can’t hear it as much, making it easier to forget about the noise. That took some time to get used to but better than the rattling of my old computer. Now it doesn’t bother me. Again, this only happens during games, not with regular use like browsing the internet or watching YouTube. This PC was a HUGE upgrade from one I built in 2017 that had a 1080ti. The graphics are beautiful and smooth. No hiccups in terms of PC performance. Overall, I am pleased with it! Oh, one more thing. This PC came without the Microsoft Store App which caused an error to be thrown when opening certain applications. To fix this, I had to download the Xbox LIVE application from the website, and once opened and installed, allowed me to view the dependencies it was missing and allowed me to download them (including the Microsoft Store APP). My PC came without the Microsoft Store app and this was the ONLY way for me to redownload it and stop the error messages. I haven’t had an error pop up since. I believe that is an issue with the new Windows and not the actual PC itself. So no points off for that, just the loud fans which maybe that’s just how they are now? Not sure but I am happy and don’t regret the purchase!

    Perfect bang for your buck!

I had recently bought the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR Gaming PC and man…This thing is a powerhouse! I have Only played a few games on it so far, but it runs Tarkov flawlessly. This was an extremely easy setup and for a PC but there is one thing I wish I could change. The REALLY want to change the RGB lights off of the rainbow color and to something solid. From what I can tell, I think the PC was supposed to come with a controller that you are able to change the light color with. I unfortunately Did not receive one with my PC. That would be my only complaint so far.

    I love it

Had to blank and reinstall windows. Took a few hours but tech support walked me though it. I absolutely love this PC. I can play any game I want at full graphics. Had no idea how much I was missing. With my favorite game, World of War Craft, I frequently pass 500fps on full max graphics settings.

    GREAT VALUE!

This is my first gaming PC so wasn’t sure what to expect but the CyberPowerPC far exceeded my expectations! It was nicely packaged, once I made sure all the connections were secure it immediately booted up and already had Windows 11 installed. I didn’t have to do anything besides add my account! I was able to download games and start playing right away, this thing is wicked fast. I saw a few other reviews saying the CPU fan isn’t the best so I ordered the Seamless Assassin as recommended. I was running around 200 FPS on Warzone and my temperatures didn’t exceed 50c. I played Ready or Not and noticed my temps getting around 70c so I will be installing that fan soon. Other than that I have zero complaints, the seamless setup was nice since I’ve never had a gaming computer and the speed is truly mind blowing compared to my old Xbox. Also, the price is great for what you get, including a decent keyboard and mouse. I don’t think you can build this setup yourself cheaper. 10/10 recommend CyberPowerPC

    So far so good.

Seems to run Davinci Resolve well and so far seems super fast and efficient. Very happy. I do as many others suggest upgrading the cooler on the cpu – it made the machine much quieter and keeps it at a much lower operating temperature. I also added 64gb of ram. I will say the cooler does get in the way of using all four ram ports so that is a concern. I am super happy overall with the performance and the case.

AWESOME gaming rig for the price with one out of the box flaw…..

I purchased this PC and have had it for a month today. Firstly, let me say this thing is awesome. I play a variety of games, Tarkov, Deadside, Assetto Corsa, Cyberpunk 2077, and have been able to run almost every game (excluding Cyberpunk) on max settings with 70 fps minimum. After some Nvidia Control Panel tweaking, I’m usually around 110 fps and know I can get more. It can definitely use more RAM, but I knew going in to it that this came with only 16gb. However, it is only one 16gb dimm and should have come equipped with 2x 8gb to be fully utilized and efficient. No to the main flaw, cooling. The air cooler on the CPU may as well do nothing. Most modern games run around 95-99° and intensive gaming sessions will absolutely make it throttle. I’ve even messed with the fan settings, which has done barely anything. So, when you buy this thing go ahead and order a good AIO along with it. I’ve purchased a Lian Li Galahad II, and will update this review after install and testing. Don’t let that scare you away, just be aware of that. Overall I am extremely happy with this PC, if I want to get nitpicky I wish it didn’t have the big orange CyberPowerPC logo on the windowed side. Enjoy

    Very satisfied

Computer came packaged very nicely and padded well. Plugged it in and it started to install the drivers and windows. Everything worked %100 right out of the box, No issues no crashes no BSOD, nothing. Installed my graphics drivers and then tested the system by playing a few games, because this is why I bought it, for games. Everything runs great, max settings, super high fps, 100+ in alot of games including starfield. The 40 series features on the graphics card are amazing. Ray tracing looks beautiful. And frame generation makes your games fps get boosted with zero visual degradation. The cpu fan definitely will be getting replaced. The Temps get high and a few times have hit 100 and throttled down. I added a fan to the empty slot in the top of the case and that has inproved things but I will still be getting a better cpu fan.

    Quiet as a distant whisper

New PC arrived well packaged, and wrapped safely; no loose items rattling around during shipping. Setup was a breeze, with me basically just adding my personal info and jumping right into action. The case is loaded with fans for good airflow (and vibrant colors), but it’s dead quiet. Have been installing/updating software, but can’t wait to get some gaming started to see it in action. I’ll update my review after some testing. So far: Great job CyberPower!

    Exactly what I ordered

I received my pc on the day it was expected, and out of the box it was exactly what I expected and more. The system looks and performs great, with the included mouse and keyboard as well as syncing with all of my other accessories for gaming video editing. I’m able to achieve the frame rates I would expect from this system with ease while my PC remains cool and quiet. Overall, I would certainly look to get another pc from CyberPowerPC in the future.

Windows 11 had a corrupt file. I had to do a clean install to correct the problem

Great value. Nice components that cost more individually than the cost of this package. The motherboard is a bit limited, but suitable for my work. For my application, I installed 2 hard drives, upgraded the memory, added a sound card (Sound Blaster Z SE) and upgraded the CPU cooler (Deep Cool AK620 Digital). My biggest issue was that I had gotten most way through my software installations before I knew there was a problem with the windows install. Check your computer when it arrives. If the Microsoft Store is not installed you will have to reinstall windows and it has to be a total reinstall, you cannot reinstall keeping your files and personal info. There are a few other quirks. I cannot control the light package with MSI Mystic Light and a few other minor issues.

Really easy setup and awesome performance!

I bought this solely for Tekken 8 so I had to wait for the demo to drop to see if it would handle the game at high settings before I could write a review. It worked flawlessly and it is super fast. It also shuts down super fast when the gaming session comes to an end. The RGB lights are cooler than I thought they would be and the instructions they include are so thorough I haven’t needed to contact support for anything. Really glad I made the purchase and not having to worry if your rig can run a game feels so nice. The gaming keyboard and mouse are surprisingly high quality as well.

    AMAZING!!!

I have never had a computer over $300 and it showed. Was tired of sinking my money into a new one every few years with the same ole results. I was told about CyberPower and saw for myself how amazing these machines are. Fast, easy to navigate & no bloatware. So I decided it was time to invest in a real computer. Yes, it was a little over my usual budget even on black Friday sale, but so worth it considering the specs it has. Was the easiest set-up I have ever had. Boot up is quick, pages load fast & completely. It’s a beautiful machine with awesome options, but main thing is, it is made with high quality parts. It has POWER! This computer will last many years & when it is time to purchase again, there is no doubt it will be a CyberPower. Everything was packaged securely & delivered carefully on time.
