Great value
This is the perfect computer for the money if you’re working from home. You will need to update the software for you’re needs. Like Word, excel, and PowerPoint and whatever you’re working on. It’s the easiest computer I’ve ever set up and it only takes about 20 minutes. It seems to be running well and it’s nice and quiet. So far so good for now. Time will tell. I’ve had know issues so far.

So much faster than my 10 yr old POS
It took me awhile to embrace Windows 11. Now I really like it. This bad boy is quiet and boots up fast, my YT video editing has reached a new level in speed. It was taking 45 minutes to render my projects on my old PC and now it’s 10 minutes. I also got a 30″ Wide Screen monitor and a lighted keyboard and everything just works great. I’ve been using it for 6 months now and I’m very happy with this unit. I want another one for my patio office but it’s a bit pricey and the old PC is ok for that.

Decent CPU
This version delivers with 1 stick of 16GB 1RXB PC4-3200AA-UA2-13. There is a 2nd slot and I picked up another 16GB here on Amazon “Desktop Memory CT16G4DFRA32A”. As another reviewer pointed out this permits the dual channel memory which performs better. I went through the setup in about 15 minutes and just followed the prompts. No issues. This has an open PCIe 16X video card slot and has an 8 pin power connector for the card. Mine came with the 300W power supply. So choose a card with power usage as low as possible. Dell site says you can put a 1660 super in here which is supposed to pull maximum 125W. Whatever you choose I would not go higher than the 125W since the power supply is small. If you install such a graphics card your 1080p gaming will run any game that I know of although maybe not on ultra settings. Decently high though om 1080p. I’m going to install a graphics card as I play some games from time to time. Storage is decent with the additional 1tb drive it comes with. I’m planning to clone the SSD and swap to a terrabyte SSD. An option if you know how to do this but would be fine as-is. I didn’t rate this good for gaming because out of the box this is not a gaming PC. But can be hugely better with the addition of a 1660 super. Value for the money. Not bad but CPU is 12th Gen. So look an see what is available and compare prices. This CPU is budget but still very capable at 6 core and decently fast. It will run probably all games if you add the video card mentioned. I do believe this board is PCIe 3.0 not 4.0 so keep that in mind if you wanted the latest 4.0 video card. There are other versions of the 3910 so look around but… power supply could be 180w, 240w or 300w and most sellers and Dell don’t mention what your going to get. If you get a 180w forget about adding a graphics card.

It’s a Dell
I’m kind of a Mac guy now but some things I still like Windows for . The Dell is a good computer . for the money , I would’ve expected a little more memory but I have most of my stuff on a Seagate drive anyway . Can’t comment on gaming because I don’t do it . My Last Dell Inspiron was 15 -20 years old and went through a lot of weird upgrades ( started off Windows 7 ) . The Email on that machine is VERY unfriendly . I ended up having to use Mazilla Mailbird . Same crap I went through with my first Inspiron . I tried for three days and could NOT get it to work .

Windows 11 OS is a disaster
this Dell computer comes pre-loaded with Win11 OS and its a nightmare. The little Dell computer hardware package is adequate for pedestrian daily users altho it basically cannot be upgraded or added-to unlike old full size desktops. The hardware is tolerable. The real problem is the Windows 11 OS which is a disaster in my opinion. I’ve been a dedicated PC user and have used most microsoft systems since before windows was invented about 40 years ago and Win11 is the worst experience. Its like a ruined Windows 7 system….metaphorically its like Win7 that took LSD and then fell into a wood chipper.Win11 is very user unfriendly … there is no hard disc with the OS on it, and apparently you never actually own your copy of the OS. During setup there are so many mercenary grasping screens asking for more money and credit card numbers. So many ‘features’ are now automatic and can’t be turned on or off and serve only to sell you something at every menu selection. Win11 comes loaded with bloatware and sellware and rentware that is difficult to stop or remove in many cases. You need a PIN to load your own computer every time you turn it on and going PIN-free or the equivalent is basically impossible. So much of Win11 is maze-like and obscured and pointlessly shuffled and disordered and opaque compared to Win7 which is open and upfront with system information and tools and procedures. So much of the embedded software in Win11 is mercenary, unfunctional, and/or undesirable to any experienced computer user….just wasted RAM and ROM and CPU resources and registry pollution that needs to be uninstalled and disabled and sorted away…..unless your life revolves around instagram and reddit and facebook and spotify and xbox and espn.Win11 is definitely regressive and unfriendly all papered over with a slick veneer of icons which has replaced the extremely logical and helpful START menu which has disappeared along with the system menu on the lower left …. just empty space there now. I could go on but others have already described the disaster better than i could.i gave the whole package 2 stars mainly because of the dystopian OS filled with self-updating bloatware and the cringy little hardware package that is all it will ever be, but mostly because Win11 is so regressive, obtuse, and confounding when it should have been straightforward and sensible.ADDENDUM june 28 2023 after using this hardware for a while i notice quite a lot of lag in the GPU especially on things like comment boards and vigorous discussion threads….the graphics processor struggles and lags and there are 2 and 3 second delays while i watch a blank screen try update a comment……………..this sort of thing is OK for putzing around like i do and stuff is not important….but its a lot different from my cheap old basic ACER desktop with the ancient entry level $59 nVidia graphics card, it was much quicker…………..so i subtracted one more star because this whole setup is just a one star deal for retired kibbitzers like me….i’d send it back but its a hassle and the machine does perform in a minimal brutalist sort of way….if i was richer i would have bought better

Quick startup and initial setup. 256 GB SSD holds all my apps and operating system. 1 TB HDD used mostly for photos. For basic needs, and photo editing it works well.

Premier Performance
This is my work computer, primarily using it to write documents and send/receive email. I’m using the latest version of Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with ease and accuracy. The processor is fast; functions that once required 30 minutes now take 3. I’m using a ViewSonic monitor with the computer and it is a good marriage. Lots of UBS inputs, and I was able to include a DVD/CD player. Dell makes Good Stuff!

There was no manual included with shipment
System arrived in just two days. Unboxing I found there was no manual or start up guide. Searching YouTube I found a video that showed what to do. Now it’s up and running and is faster than my old Windows 10 computer. The computer I would give ***** as I am well satisfied.

Not 100% Satisfied Easy to Use, Fast, Intuitive, but …
I got this new Dell…overall it seems to be excellent. Easy to use, fast, intuitive. I did run into a couple of problems. The voice to text doesn’t work very well, at least compared to my iPhone. Surprising that they don’t have a similar voice calibration tool. Another sound issue, is that there is a weird adjustment to playback, like when I am listening to a classical work, the volume level will change. I am not expert, but I tweaked all the sound settings trying out each one. And I searched for answers online as well. So no luck on correcting that yet. Maybe I will try their tech support? Another problem was that the DVD player could not register half the DVDs from the Bond Series, big disappointment. The reviews for the Bond series mentioned problems. I solved both problems by buying an inexpensive DVD player, Roofull External CD DVD USB player. It plays all the DVDs that the Dell couldn’t. I wish I had more knowledge of all the things the Dell computer is doing well, as everything else seems to work perfectly.

Crappy DVD player
I cannot get the cheaply made DVD player on my recently purchased Dell 3910 to play ! I put in a DVD movie in and light comes on and sound like it is scanning the disc but I get no image on my Samsung PC Monitor. When I finally found the external device on the Windows 11 . I placed the DVD disc in and have to push the flimsy holder in. I have an older custom made PC and tray pops right out when I push the botton.

Better than described!
The media could not be loaded.
This came with a 300 Watt Gold 80 Power supply. Also pleasantly surprised to discover the 16GB DDR4 was in the form of a single stick, so buying another 16GB 3200 CL 22 and adding it to the second memory slot allows me to take advantage of dual channel memory. The downside would have been had I not upgraded (after all, 16 GB is plenty) I would have only got half speed from the RAM. This video cut off partway through, but I thought I’d show you anyway.

Dell 3910 great computer
I was upgrading from a HP computer I bought in 2010 running win 7. I used LapLink PC Mover to transfer programs and data from old computer to new Dell 3910. Love the speed and new features on win 11. Using for a home computer. Plenty of power and storage.

easy installation, fast in completing my main tasks
This replaces my previous review. The machine is very quiet. Basic tasks that I perform frequently such as mail, writing small docs, editing images, etc are very quick. All of my software packages installed without any problem. Overall, very nice machine (so far). My other machines have Windows 10 so I was concerned about dealing with differences between the 2 OS – so far, the differences are minor and livable. There was 1 small issue with the display port. I was expecting a VGA port but it has HDMI or DP, no VGA. This is mentioned in a question, but it would be better to cover this in the Technical Details section.

Good for common household tasks of finance, pictures, videos
Very good response from seller. Was listed as having a DVD writer. Arrived with no DVD writer. Seller responded quickly and remedied my situation. Thanks! Only 4 stars on actual product due to an annoying intermittent click coming through sound. Windows 11 will take some getting used to. Sure wish they still supported 7.

Great Computer
Works great. Have two of them. One mainly runs 3-4 excel spreadsheets, adobe and 10 browsers simultaneously, without issue. The second one runs AutoCad, 6-10 adobe files and 15+ browser windows simultaneously. Both are running three monitors with an external graphics card splitter. Just great machines.

Fast computer, freezes though
I’ve used this PC for five months. It has fast start up and is overall quicker because of the SSD drive and 16 GB RAM. However, the screen and mouse freeze about every other day of use, requiring a pressing of the button to shut down and then restart. Also, it downloads apps and other files onto the C drive, which is actually the SSD drive with only 256 GB capacity. This leads to a nearly full C drive status. Using settings though I redirected all downloads to the D drive, which is the 1 TB hard drive. I also shut off the Onedrive feature as it just confuses the organization and retrieval of files, especially since I don’t need to access files from multiple devices (I still transfer files between PCs with the old and proven USB flash drive). Windows 11 is working well but Microsoft “fixed” a few things that weren’t broken to begin with. Oh well. This PC was a good purchase.

Great Computer But It’s Not Complete
I love this PC tower. Plug and play, it’s quiet, I love that it has a DVD drive (though I doubt I’ll use it), and it’s beefy (lots of memory), BUT… first, the mouse and keyboard supplied are super basic junk. Don’t bother, Dell. Second, if you want to use it with two monitors (like most people), you will need to purchase a Display Port to HDMI adapter (ten bucks on Amazon). Otherwise you’re out of luck and there’s nowhere to find an easy explanation and advice for that. Finally, when you want to contact Dell customer service, you’re routed to something called JustAnswer, which charges one dollar to answer your question. After spending $740 for the PC and giving away the cheap keyboard and mouse, I have had to spend another $11 for the right adapter and a phone call. Kind of crazy. Do better, Dell.

Good machine but buyer beware
The power cord for the tower is defective. I get sent back and forth from Amazon to Dell with no results. Other than that the tower is great, works as expected. No real instructions so know what you are doing if you order this. I use it for work at home. No VGA output so you need HDMI or DISPLAY Plug for the monitor. Amazon has adapters. I have a dual monitor. Please with the box but displeased with Dell service on defective parts.

I’ve been using this computer daily for more then two months now and I feel okay about granting it a Five Star rating because: 1) it’s performed flawlessly with NO hiccups (the 12th gen i5 cpu SCREAMS, and it stays cool to boot), 2) I can play quite a few of my favorite games (e.g. Skyim SE lightly modded, on low settings) pretty much flawlessly, and 3) overall I find it to be intelligently designed and (for a ‘pre built’ machine) quite well put together. This was an emergency purchase due to my 5 y/o gaming rig dying very suddenly, so I really didn’t spend a lot time comparison shopping: being flat broke at the time, I grabbed my credit card and purchased the first reasonably priced desktop PC that met all of my own personal ‘minimum spec’ requirements, and hit the checkout button. Even though I’ve had to effectively retire 80% of my Steam Library, I’m glad this is the system I purchased. 😁

Easy monitor solution
This computer was exactly as described. I’m happy.Several people asked questions about there not being an old style monitor port on this computer. Various solutions were proposed using adapters (some more successful than others).YOU DO NOT NEED AN ADAPTER PLUG. You just need a new monitor cable that you can plug in to the hdmi port on the back of the computer. My old monitor has a DVI connection. Look at your monitor installation sheet, or look online for your monitor to make sure you get the right cord.If you have a DVI connection – this cord works great with no loss of clarity on the monitor.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X4TYXWB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Less functionality than my last Inspiron
I got this computer to replace an Inspiron I got in 2016. The first thing I noticed is there’s only one female jack input on the back, while my old Inspiron had three, one of which was for a microphone. I do a radio show and would run my mixer in there to record it. I’ve tried a few different solutions–RCA off my mixer to USB is the latest and it doesn’t work. In addition, Windows 11 is awful. They got rid of the “copy to” and “move to” buttons and moving items from one folder to another is difficult. The only good thing is it’s a lot faster than my previous Inspiron. Guess I’ll do better research next time. Hopefully I can find some workarounds to solve my problems. That shouldn’t be necessary.

Beware
Product was advertised like it was a new computer from Dell. It’s a third party that buys returns from Dell and ‘supposedly’ refurbishes them to ‘like new’. Problems: Advertised Bluetooth 6.1; current version of Bluetooth is 5.2. Turned on Bluetooth within Windows 11 but was informed by my speech software that the system was missing the driver. Tried to download the driver and was redirected to a site that offered the driver at $9.99 per month. Also found that of the drivers on the system, the newest was dated back in 2018. Tried to download updated drivers and again was redirected to a site that offered either a one time download to the next version for a fee or a premier option for a download to the most current version for a monthly fee to keep them current. System completely quit after 3 days of use. Was offered a refund minus a 60% restocking fee plus a minus 20% fee for not having the original box to ship it back in.

It’s a computer
It’s definitely a functional computer. My mom’s computer crapped out and I didn’t want to go through the trouble of building her one. So I got this. It connects to the Facebook and the internet for her and that’s good enough. Not gonna do any 4k gaming or 3d rendering with this one though. But if your mom needs a computer. This might be the one.

Bait and Switch Financing
I bought this computer for $659 on the Cyber Monday 8-month same as cash special financing if I used the card associated with my Amazon account. I did (it’s the only card I have.) I have been paying $25/week on this computer. It should be paid off. Instead, I still “owe” about $250 on it. I am old and it is very difficult for me to navigate web sites, but I finally discovered that I was given a 5% cash back, instead of the 8-month same as cash special financing per my agreement. I have contacted Waze, Chase Bank, and the BBB. I tried to contact Amazon, but they aren’t interested in being in contact with me. They need to refund the interest they have charged me in full, and apply my full payments to the principle, as per the financing agreement entered into on 11/28. I will be cancelling my Amazon card after this is corrected. Too many problems keep recurring. I’m DONE!

Dell products have dropped significantly in quality.
It is cheaply built for a Dell product. After a month the unit would not turn on. Technitions replaced 2 motherboards and the same problem just occured for the third time again. Also after the technition repaced the motherboard for the second time and left, I found the DVD/RW wasn’t wotking. Two hours with tech support resulted in them asking me to go into the unit, in violation of the warrenty, to see if the technition had forgotten to reconnect the DVD unit when he replaced the motherboard. I have owned Dell products for over 25 years, this is the worst piece of equipment I have ever encountered. Tech support is not that great either.

Piece of junk
I purchased this for my 8 year old Christmas present. When I went to set it up on Christmas Eve. The computer wouldn’t turn on. I contact the seller and then Dell tech support. Dell Tech tried to help, but said that a Tech had to come out. On the 29 Dec the Tech came by to fix the PC however, there was a problem with the computer. The Tech contacted Dell. Then the Tech told me to contact Amazon for a refund of the computer. I was sold a defective computer by Amazon. After a week Amazon refuse my refund request. The Dell Tech also informed me that the memory chip inside the computer was not Dell issued and therefore he could the replace it. he also, noticed the power supply had a problem. this information was all relayed to Amazon. However, they didn’t care. According to Dell the RAM issued computer was replaced by someone. It is not the Ram that was initially installed by Dell. Amazon and the seller sold a system that was modified. Yes I went pass the 30 days. However, it was purchased as a present. I didn’t think that I had to open the box to verify that it worked properly. The seller know that they changed out the RAM. A brand system that’s a piece of junk. Buyer’s beware of system purchase.

Dell Inspiron Tower
Ordered tower on Cyber Monday. Received on Wed. Much cheaper than Dell. Dell awesome working warranty. They had to upgrade to windows 11. Tech was awesome. Only short, no cd player. I had to download my printer. Over-all, I love this computer.

Great price!
This computer came in next day after buying. Was literally plug and play. It if fast enough for working from home. I don’t play games on it, but I believe it is fast enough for that also. So far, I have not had any kind of issues.

Buyer beware
Purchased to replace my old HP desktop. After unpacking and connecting all the devices I turned it on. Nothing but a flashing light on the power button. Went online for help and learned that the yellow flashing light indicates hardware problems and/or motherboard failure. Open the computer and disconnected the hard drive and attempted to boot up the computer again, again yellow flashing light. With the indication of some issue with the motherboard, connected Amazon to begin the return process. A local company had a sale on a HP with better specs at a lower price.

Over priced at Amazon by over $200.00
it is a good computer with good support. but disappointing in the online gaming area. you will have to upgrade.to a up to date graphics card. which I cant do because of warranty rules. not to mention that it is sold by Dell for like $450.00 now. I feel like I got a bit jipped. But I digress because I Moved to fast on this product. Do your Research before you buy Tech.

Quiet starts fast thats it
Windows eleven is beyond terrible Never recognized my printer via wi if or hard wire no matter how many times we loaded and reloaded drivers. After using for a couple of months, it would start crashing. The only way to get out of it was to to shut down the computer unfortunately the crashing became more and more frequent. The computer gave me the option of reloading windows 11 which I did but the crashing still continues. This is probably the worst computer I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned quite a few computers. The last one was an old dell that actually worked if I could give it half a star I would

Reasonable Price for an okay product
It works fine. Speed is good. Easy to set up. Unfortunately, I wish I had gotten a larger Solid State Hard Drive. Constantly moving files and keeping this 256G SSD from filling up is tiresome and not what I wanted to spend time on.
