How can I control the rate of temperature increase while using DJI Action 2?
When the DJI Action 2 is installed with the magnetic protective case, DJI Action 2 will now have a plastic heat-resistant material, and the temperature range are also broadened, which can greatly decrease the situation of recording interruptions due to overheating.
Note
1. Only the Action 2 camera unit is waterproof.The front touchscreen module and power module are not waterproof. It is recommended to use the DJI Action 2 Waterproof Case if you intend on using DJI Action 2 underwater for long periods (such as when diving) or under high water pressure conditions (such as when cliff diving). The DJI Action 2 Camera Unit and its Waterproof Case have an IP68 waterproof rating. Do not use the camera in hot springs or expose it to corrosive liquids.
2.When recording 4K/120fps, Action 2 will stop filming when the set Auto-Stop Rec Temp is reached. If set as Standard, 4K/120fps video can be recorded for around 3 minutes. Not compatible with all phones!!!!
WARNING ANDROID USERS!!!I cant give any more than 1 star because i couldnt get it working on both the original one sent or the replacement i received.Listing doesn’t specify this thing will not function without the app that runs off your phone/device. The App isnt even available from the google play store. From what i have read, it used to be, but it never worked correctly. Do a search for connectivity problems and you will find literally hundreds of examples of this problem. I have Samsung’s flagship model S22 ultra which is a super popular phone. When you receive the camera, it tells you to scan a QR code that will take you to the website where you can download the app. I talked to DJI service and they told me to borrow a phone from someone who has a compatible phone…no joke!!!!! Ultimately they told me my phone wasnt compatible and i should contact amazon to get a refund. Absolutely disappointing. So far, my return is in a pending status. This better be accepted so the next step would be to contact the third party “assured” about recouping the money financed and payment already made. Save yourself the headache and do a search for a list of compatible phones because this is just a cool looking paperweight without one.

An awesome, polished proof-of-concept. But not ready for actual use.
DJI should be commended for taking a big risk and creating something so amazing as this camera. It is tiny and powerful and has the kind of form factor and parts integration that makes you feel like you’re holding something magical. But the same impression also applied to the Apple Newton, and you can read up on how that worked out. I won’t get into the issues others have already touched on (particularly battery life, main camera storage and heat), but that does kind of make the camera no more than a proof of concept. And it appears DJI has given up on the form factor too, as the new Action 3 has returned to something looking more like the original Omso and its direct competitors. Given another decade of advancements in battery tech, storage price and miniaturization, something looking and working very much like the Action 2 may come back, just like the Newton came back as the iPhone. In the meantime, this probably isn’t the action camera you are looking for.

Good camera especially when on sale
Most of the initial bugs seem to be completely fixed now. No real overheating, great battery life, and more features like additional stabilization modes.Image quality is great but the main attractor for myself is the ingenious magnetic mounting system. It allows me to just use the camera more and get great shots.Got the camera for under $300 during a sale and couldn’t be happier.Quick note on external mics; any USB c or trrs mic converted to USB c works. I just noticed the audio is a little on the low side.

Not good
This is not a good camera because it overheats easily, the picture is good but the battery life is really bad and process of using it not simple enough. Just not happy with how DJI packaged this requiring you to buy extra parts or overpriced “packages” to get what other action camera makers provide as standard on their products.

Good picture quality, short battery, heat problems
Took this out to Santa Cruz to get some good pics of our day at the beach. Kept it out of the sun and since it was on the ground not moving turned off all stability and hi res stuff. Got less than an hour of time, got a temp too hot message and it shut off. Seems to be a problem with the smaller DJI cameras. Was really bummed out

App won’t work on Android phones
I love my DJI drone but this camera is absolute junk. If you have an Android phone which is built in the last 3 years don’t buy this camera because it does not work with ANY new Android phone! None of the new Samsung S series like S21 or S22 are working with this. Same thing with new Google Pixel phones.It looks like DJI gave up on this product and abandoned it!So why is it being sold when the app doesn’t work on any phone newer than S20!!!It has severe overheating issue. Basically any resolution higher than 1080 will not work on this in summer time!It’s called action camera but it’s so fragile. You drop it and it will crack all over.Only has 24 GB memory! Transfer speed from internal memory to external micro SD is so slow. I mean very very slow like it’s a 10 year ago technology.Can’t think of anything positive about this device other than its size.Overall an absolute piece of junk if you are thinking about using it with an Android phone.Save yourself time and money and definitely look for a different camera.

Great small camera for quick recording
It’s a great camera. The recording options are amazing. The size is perfect for traveling and any on the go recording. As is known. The battery doesn’t last long enough even with the settings changed to optimize. Mine came wirh the magnetic case however I don’t know if that helped the battery life or not.

You spin me right round baby, right round
Awesome magnetic design.Good stabilization.It gets so hot you can heat your house with it in the winter.The horizontal balancing reminds me of being drunk in the navy… It is neither horizontal or balanced. Mine maybe defective. I will send it back and they can figure it out.File transfers to the sd card take fffffooooorrrreeeevvvveeeeerrrrrr.

Useless When Clipped to the Chest
There is no way to maintain your settings. So you have it clipped to the chest and you are running and want to maintain the setting video 4K30/RS, at some point turn it on, then later press to start recording, then you get a photo and your screen brightness when from 100% to 20%, why? because the touch screen changed your settings when rubbin against your shirt. Then your second option is while runing to unclip it before turning it on, then lock the screen, then clip and start video, but then the moment is gone and this is no longer an action camera. Your third option is to have it on and locked at all times, then you see the light still green and you start recording, but it stops immediately because you ran out of battery. Even when locked it can unlock itself when the screen rubs agains your shirt. No way to record video off and on while running.

Not a great camera for biking, makes a clicking noise. For walking or other applications might be ok. Vertical design not the best and why not include sd slot in the camera depends on the battery pack:(

Overheating is a huge problem
There is a lot to like about this camera, but the big downfall is that it will quickly overheat in warm weather. If you start with the camera totally cool, not having charged it or used it, then it will last 5 minutes on 2.7k 60. After it shuts off from overheating, you need to let it cool for at least 10 maybe 15 minutes to get another 5 minutes out of it. If you have just charged it or used it at all, then you might get 2.5 minute before it overheats. I did these tests in 80 weather and away from the sun. I am pretty sure this camera would be useless in 90 – 100 degree weather. Maybe this camera is a good choice if you are going to make skiing videos.

WARNING!!!!!
I bought this in October 23 I used it a couple of times took it to work nice climate 70-73*F it started overheating and didn’t record anything and auto shut down after about20 minutes.. I going to see if I can return this item past the 30 days for Amazon I suggest get a ol reliable gopro

APP will not open!
Haven’t used the camera yet other then charge it. Tried downloading the app on four devices, two cell phones and two tablets all android. The app will not open. You have to download the app from dji because the Google play store no longer supports it. The battery life is the only thing I gave 5 stars to. I can’t use the camera so the battery level is always high. I’m keeping the camera in hopes I can get the app to work. DJI help! Please!

I read so many reviews on YouTube and saw so many demonstrations and I thought this was the right camera.IT IT’S DEFINITELY NOT THE CAMERADO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA AT ALL….It does overheat after some use, there is NO APP to manage or administer the camera for ANDROID.DGI MUST UP THEIR GAME IF THEY WANT TO MAKE THIS CAMERA WORK.I bought it for a trip to Disney and all I ended up was with an extra unused camera.As soon as I get home I’m going to return this junk until they upgrade all over their functionality.

Must be Open Box sold as new, the box was broken, box and camera had no plastic covering, they looked new so I did not realize, the camera had some blurry videos so I returned, I bought another one with front screen which came with plastic covering outside of box and I needed to charge and follow all the new camera instructions to use, while I didn’t need to with the fist one. The camera itself is very nice, I like it better than my GO pro, only amazon should check new product /returned product carefully!!!

Battery OVERHEATS and does not last. Amazon doesn’t allow return
This camera to me is unique and have good ideas such as the magnet mounting with great controls and good app. However, this action camera OVERHEATS like crazy, I record for less then 1 minute, this thing is hot for 15 minutes. not just warm but HOT. It also often overheat and shuts down. Talk to amazon for return this thing but they won’t accept the return. This by far is the worse customer service I ever dealt with with Amazon for a defective camera.

Better than expected!
I like versatility and the magnet form factor let’s me be creative. Yes unit warms up if you record stationary and in warm environment. However attaching with battery pack gives more tolerance to heat. Microphone recording was the biggest surprise! If not windy, output was clear and not muffled or tinny. Im a filmmaker and having secondary mic placement is great for coverage!

GoPro killer?
This little camera is an amazing alternative to gopro’s. I use this in a two camera setup for wingsuiting. I have a Gopro 360 on my helmet and use this camera with a body mount setup to film from an under the wing point of view. Picture quality is amazing for such a little camera. Decent battery life when in paired format. Just running the camera without the extra battery base, will last about 15-20 minutes.

Love That Its Unique But 🤨
I love this camera in its design. It’s like DJI listened being very forward thinking and revolutionary but some things were not worked out before they released this.This takes a rip from the Mocacam. Except the Mococam was nowhere near this level of quality but the concept is the same. Same magnetic modular concept.But we’re not here to talk about that camera we’re talking about this Action 2. Let’s go over the 5 aspects a camera should be.Image quality: Its good. Good colors clarity its there for an action camera. On par with the leading competitors. Good POV 4x zoom nice controls Pro option for a little more hands on adjustments.Image stabilization: It is one of the best without a mechanical 3axis gimble. But ya gotta be in a somewhat quiet area. No need for audio boosts in post. The recording gets better using the attachable module. More mics 👍Audio input: External mic input. I can plug in my mics with USBC. Trying to find an adapter from 3.5mm to USB C … 😐 Good thing I have mics with USB C.Waterproof: The camera is waterproof but only the main camera not the secondary screen or battery pack with SD card. 😕So this is pretty cool and I like it for the most part. They came up with the simple magnetic lanyard that I have been making myself with magnets for mounting on my shirt for years. I use round magnets that you can purchase anywhere. I started this with the Snapcam as there was no stability in wearing a camera around your neck. Its a simple thing.The magnets on this camera are strong and it’s backed up with clips 👍 must have read my Mocacam review. 😆…🤨This comes with good attachments. Gopro style mount a table top stand the lanyard you can screw on to a 1/4 20. I like this camera. It’s pretty good but could use some updates and changes. So if I like this why does it only get 1 star? ….This thing overheats fast. It gets hot in 5 min. Not warm HOT. Even not recording in 4k. In 4k depending on ambient conditions the camera too hot warning im going to turn off and if your not paying attention to my screen because you’re focused on your video you’re not going to know and get mad later warning comes on in 10min – 20min 😳 in 1080p there’s a power reserve setting and I can go 35min before the warning but the camera is hot. Right now it’s a nice hand warmer 👌 it’s about 50deg.Battery life is tricky. The main camera can get about 35-40min before the red bar. And you kinda think we’ll it is tiny so… but my Hero Session goes way longer. So does my Drift Compass. Even my Polaroid Cube goes longer. 😮But I still like this camera.The other thing that I have complained about to DJI because I have the Action, 4 Pocket 1 and 2s and gimbles and whatnot is the Activation and App. It took me hours of downloading and redownloading and turning off just about all my security measures on my phone to download this intrusive spyware app. I tried from the Playstore and it did not work and had to go to their website. The Action 2 isn’t even listed. So scan again and again the QR code, my phone even gives me a warning that downloading from this site could damage my phone. 🤨 I sign away all my security just to activate this camera. 😡We all know it’s a data grab. Why do you need access and control to all of my phone. Contacts text messages why are you tracking me? I said I would never purchase another DJI product because of this because it does compromise your security. Spam and Eggs.. But this was a camera I thought of and DJI made it. The price tho is a bit high at $520. When action cams go over $400 … 🤡Is this a camera you should go out and buy? No. You’re not going to be happy with its flaws. Is this a camera you buy because you’re a camera nut like me and can live with its quirks because the revolutionary outweighs the quirks. Yes. I will say though you probably should wait for a price drop and I have a feeling this will go on sale for Black Friday. 😉

Great for vacations.
I really love this thing. It’s great to have that POV from your vacations. I hated carryng carrying my phone while recording. This completely took enjoyment out of my vacation since I was walking around with phone in hand. This I just slap it on the lanyard and I was good to go. I just tightened it to fit as a necklace over my shirt. (Don’t leave it hanging like a lanyard) like this it doesn’t attract attention. Ok,… now the bad thing. The battery life is abismal. If you don’t buy it with the extra screen you will be VERY disappointed and even with that extra battery it still isn’t enough. Just have to time what is more important to record because you’ll have a small window of battery life. Also the In storage memory is another underwhelming feature. So before you go def buy a few high capacity memory cards.

A Good Pocket Cam
I like the size of this unit. It is a tiny square that records video. I will admit, we all have cell phones at this point. There are times I feel my cell gets better results, but I love the form factor and the magnetic bottom allows for some pretty creative location this can be hung. I purchased this as a “C cam” for an interview series I was shooting. I thought it would live in my bag, but I actually used this thing every shoot I went on. I used it for establishing shots and as a BTS camera. Be aware it will overheat on the higher frame-rates an resolutions. You can set it to shut off at a higher temp. I keep it stock to eliminate battery damage from the heat. Over all this is a cool little unit. There is an updated model that just dropped. I am not regretting this purchases at all and probably will not “upgrade”.

I like it a lot
So far it’s been very good for me. It has got a bad propaganda claiming that it overheats and I don’t know if it’s true or not yet, but I am pretty sure I won’t get my video stopped because it is an action camera and I use it as such, not as a videography camera to shoot movies. Action sports don’t require 4k 120p. You just need 3 mins max to do a skateboard run, to ride a wave 5 – 6 mins to snowboard or mtb down a hill, you just need to hit the button when something interesting is going to happen, and this camera is lighting fast, it won’t take more than a second to turn on and start recording.Image quality and stabilization is of the best out there.The downside is that it is so premium that you are always afraid of scratching it or denting it and especially the lens glass which is not replaceable so you end up buying glass screen protectors for the lens and the display and I am also looking forward to buying a chinese waterproof case for the camera module in order to protect it against drops and smashes. Also I didn’t expect the gopro mount was so heavy, it’s because it’s all metal. One very good point of this camera that no one tells, is that because the angle of view is so wide it makes you look you are going faster, as the motion blur is way more on the edges.

Terribly difficult to activate
After turning on 5 times it basically bricks itself until you activate it. I actually had to go back to my 5 year old Google Pixel to get a phone connect to the camera just to activate it as newer devices wouldn’t connect. And you have to download the app from their website since they won’t provide it in the Google Play Store.Otherwise, the camera is pretty good. Battery is mediocre and it gets hot.I also bought a Insta360 One RS at the same time… it’s a much better device (easier to use, no painful activation, less heat, better audio, etc.). Only advantage to the DJI Action 2 is the ability to have the smaller camera snap onto a magnet under your shirt. Unless you’re looking for the smaller form camera to get a body angle, I’d pass on the DJI device.

i heard about DJI Action 2 when it released. quiet interested into its size and functions that this little thing can do. compared it with Gopro 9 and 10 before i made my decision, i chose DJI Action 2. coz the bigger sensor can provide better images overall especially in low light condition. i like traveling, when night comes, to use DJI Action 2 to mount on the car, and film the city twilight, it can add so much fun footage into the story. Gopro are pretty much non-functional in the dark while the Action 2 can still perform.it has 4 mics around it so the sound it records is very clear, even you use the Front Touchscreen Module. very versatile.the magnetic is a great design that you dont need many accessories then you can mount it anywhere you like. so the angle you can adjust is so much more! i also like that it allows me to level the horizon even recording in 4k. the app is also easy to use.quiet a great design. only used for several days after i received it, would like to explore more.

AVOID THE PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS! IT RUINED MY TRIPS WITH GIRLS.English is not my native language. Forgive me if any issues.1. EXTREMELY HOT!HOT TO TOUCH after running 10mins at 1080/30. Don’t dream you could take a 4k handheld with it. 4k60 would only record less than 5 MINS before it stops. Even after updating to the latest firmware, the battery balance function between the main module to display module would never work. The display module WOULD CHARGE THE MAIN MODULE CONSTANTLY if the main module is not a full-on battery. (Which drains the battery, cause heat even you turn off the machine). Not only does it generate heat, but also ruined your videos. For example, I was shooting 4k30 under straight sunlight for three minutes and it popup a hot warning. BUT IT DOES NOT STOP RECORDING! The voice recording getting more and more lagging and finally cut off, than the video’s signal.2. Production or Design issue with the pin connection ( See my video, sorry for its the Chinese language)I found the issue when mounting the cubic on my car hood. If you mount the two cubics together on mounts runs with a shake, it would lose communication between the card and machine randomly. Start recording, few seconds, and it beep, then stop. WHY DID YOU MAKE A CAMERA THAT COULD NOT USE IN ANY MOVING SCENARIO?3. THE DJI MIMO APP WAS A NIGHTMAREOn Android 12, which few lastest phones got, every time you load with apps it loads resources and asks for permissions. OK, I can take it. But AI editor was working on android 11 would not work anymore for half a year. (I have other DJI products too, exp OSMO mobile/Action) Downloading any clips from cubics would drain its battery, and the fastest I got is 20m/s. The most of time, it pop-ups saying an unstable connection only got 6 to 10 mb/s. You probably think you can use the cable to connect it to the computer. NO, THE USB PORT IS USB 2.0, which is super slow. IT WOULD BE A DAY AND NIGHT DIFFERENCE IF YOU TRANSFER FILES WITH A CARD READER.4. PICKY CARD CHOICE.I got there Sam’s EVO Select card, it’s got 90m/s read and write on all test software. But you the machine can take it at the original firmware, not the updated one. It runs hots, and card speed getting slow down. Boom all things happened inside the 3 mins timeframe. 40m/s MicroCenter TF card? Yep, I will take it. 60m/s Sandisk? Why not. 90m/s Sam ? Nah Nah Nah. But Sam’s PRO card works. I got no idea5. TOO MANY PROBLEMS I HAVE NOT ENOUGH TIME TO WRITE DOWN.Using this is like asking your father to help you with your housework. It never works man, it never works.Thanks to Amazon providing me with the best solution they could. I called them, they redirected me to the DJI care team. I gave all the issues and suggestions. YES, I AM A DJI FANBOY, I AM JUST SAD. Not disappointed just sad man. I do not trust this device at all scenario anymore.

I really wanted to love this camera!
I really wanted to love this camera, but dang it let me down. While there are some really good things about this camera like the excellent picture quality, slick quick mounting options, external mic options, remote control options, and more…..none of that is really worth much if you can only take about 3-6 minutes of footage at one time!This camera is so thermally limited that I don’t even know what to use it for really. It certainly isn’t an ‘action’ camera if you can’t record more than a few minutes of footage at a time. I will keep experimenting with other uses for the camera like perhaps using it for timelapse or hyperlapse, but dang it is an expensive option to be that limited. Perhaps it can be used for some ‘short’ vertical format one shot stuff. The thermal issue also compounds on itself. You might get 3-6 minutes on the first go around, but then you might only get 50% of that time on the next shot if you can’t let things cool back down.They got so much right with this camera this is really a tragic flaw. I really want to find a way to make this camera work. I’ll probably invest in one of the expensive finned aluminum thermal cases to give it one last chance at redemption.

Outside of US you can use the high mode, but even with this mode on, the time of recording in 4K 60fps is not the best!! The material is really nice but not the best for the use it suppose to have.

At high recording settings battery life is short and device heats up (very hot)
I really enjoyed the quality of the recordings and with the wide angle it was really something I needed; however it is not worth the inconvenience of having a short battery life and the device gets extremely hot to the touch. I ended up returning the item because the battery life is too short and it concerned me that the device heats up that much.

Piece of junk. First of all, paper instructions are impossible to understand – I had to view Youtube video how to set it up. The DJI app provided on their manual couldn’t be installed on my phones – I tried two phones – one with Android 10, another one with Android 8. The camera itself overheated within minutes after I turned it on even without using it. I tried to charge it and it didn’t cool out – it remained very hot until I turned it off. To add to frustration with this product the return is not free. They provided the choice to drop it off for free at a very distant Amazon Fresh location -15 miles from where I live or UPS drop off which costs $6.

Worst Action Camera – do not buy. GoPro and Insta360 are better action cams at lower cost!!!
Let me start by saying 1) I don’t usually write reviews and 2) how disappointed I am with this camera. The small magnet concept is great, however the Video Software experience is horrendous. Like many others have stated, my experience confirms low light (JITTERY video – stabilization is bad!!), Heats up quickly and shuts down quickly. Bought it, used it on vacation along with my GoPro and 3 insta360 cameras (2xGo2’s & one X2) and used it twice and. then put it away quickly to never be used again focusing great video with the Insta 360 go 2’s primarily! This DJI Action 2 camera is too expensive a mistake for anyone to make a purchase now until they figure out a way to update their Firmware – they did do an update, but sadly it doesn’t fix any of the major flaws. Really disappointed, they should keep focusing on their drones – which is their sweet spot/speciality.

An amazing camera with a major flaw
I loved this camera, but I got tired of loosing shots as it regularly overheated with low stress use… low frame rate, low quality videos. I returned it and got something else. It’s a real shame because the camera and functionality was top notch. If your not doing more than 5 minute clips with some downtime in between, this could be for you.

Don’t have the latest phone.
I had to pull out an old phone to use it. It does not support the latest iPhone or Samsung. You cannot use it unless your phone supports it. I bought this for my traveling. Now I have to carry around an extra phone.

Overheats in about 6 minutes
I just got it today and started testing it and it overheated and stopped recording after only six minutes at 4k. So I tried shooting at 1080 and only got to about 12 minutes before it overheated and stopped recording. And that was indoors at 76 degrees. The camera was very hot to the touch.Don’t buy this if you want to record more than a few minutes at a time.

Such a tiny device that can do so much more than anything that I’ve seen.
At first I was a bit hesitant to get the Action 2 because it looks different, but after looking at a few Youtube reviews I got really interested because the modular design actually makes the Action 2 more adaptive than usual cameras. Whereas the GP10 got heavier, the Action 2 got lighter compared to its predecessor. It is more comparable to the modular Insta 360 One R but I preferred the Action 2 because you can’t go wrong with DJI. 4k videos are buttery smooth and I really enjoy the wider FOV. Cropping for stabilization is very acceptable and horizon levelling is better than a GoPro. The Action 2 has tons of features and I really like gesture and voice commands so you can take videos and photos even when you’re on your own. The DJI Mimo App is really helpful for some light editing work and for sharing files.I have both the DJI Pocket 2 and the Action 2 and both have their uses. For vloggers and for those who want a tough handy device that can virtually do anything you want with it, the Action 2 is a must have. I’ve put the Action 2 through the wringer and it has survived time and time again. I can’t say enough good things about this thing.

Come on DJI.. Square design lends itself to a square sensor.. also would be nice to have a second screen unit continue recording stereo sound while the main camera unit is disconnected.. otherwise, near perfect! no issues with overheating so far.. battery life could be better though

I like it, but my wife loved it so much that I had to buy a second one for her!
Very nice camera that I have enjoyed using so far. Warning: It can cost you because after I got mine and showed it to my wife, she fell in love with it and wanted one of her own! Had to buy a second one! With all the accessories! Now we use them in tandem, especially when we travel. I especially appreciate the stabilization and horizon leveling that it does.

I order this cameras In feb when I got it I put it to charge and the camera start heating up so bad that I need it to Disconnected, after that in the same day I try to use it And While I was doing my run feel like my chest was burning the camera was so hot i didn’t know why i deicide to send it back to get my refund i been waiting for DJI to refund my money since February and they haven’t refund me yet i really will not recommend this camera and company theyre been so bad in refund me and im still waiting SMH…

It’s all about the use case…
The camera alone is the perfect size and form factor for under the saddle of my road bike. That’s why at the discounted price I purchased 2 of the Power Combo’s. I had high hopes.Cons:Unfortunately, recording time and storage space was just insufficient for any ride longer than 55 minutes even at 1080p /30FPS. Attaching and swapping out additional battery packs would serve the purpose, but then, size wise, that defeats my reason for selecting this camera.Downloading video from the internal storage requires you to copy the data to an external microSD located in the power module and requires nearly 20 minutes!!! During download the camera gets very hot. I purchased the SmallRig mount with the built in USB-C, but for some reason the camera does not allow downloading directly to my MacBook through the SmallRig??? On the other hand, I can charge through the SmallRig???Pros:Great build quality. Love the magnetic mounting system. Size is great. Video is excellent. User interface is very easy to use.This camera would probably be perfect for Vloging. Short videos with excellent quality.

Easy to use and sharp footage!!
DJI Action 2 was recommended by friends who swear by it. It is a very good action camera that is very easy to use and produces high quality footage. I particularly like how it is able to perform well even underwater, and also in low-light. It has slightly less lag vs. than GoPro 9 and seldom restarts when used like an action cam (i.e. in movement, with wind, etc.). I like going to the waterparks with the kids and the Action 2 is perfect. I’m waiting on my waterproof case we can use it in Hawaii where I can really test it!! All in all I like the way the Action 2 handles in/out of water. Oh the size is another HUGE plus! Easy to carry around. Aesthetically this is the next evolution of an action cam. Well done DJI.

Dictate you to enable location to see on phone
1. Dictate you to enable location to connect, see, copy images and videos to your phone on phone or you can not connect or use app at all.2. They force you to install app from their website instead of android app store if you are android user and wants to use your camera connecting your android phone.3. You connect with apple computer camera will not show up as 20 GB drive which is storage of this camera so user can not copy files from camera to apple computer4. When you zoom video gets blurry5. Device gets hot within few minutes and forces you to shut down device, I do not know why they did not test for heat or why it can not be solved just like google pixel 6 plus camera tech works fine6. By default they should have settings like any beginner can use, by default they have borders kind of stretching when making videos7. No bluetooth external mic option8.
