If you want an inaudible card this is not the one.
This card has the same performance as other 4070’s and its price is MSRP so on that front it’s not a bad choise.However this model compared to others is quite loud with an annoying sound profile due to the smaller fans spinning at higher RPM – If your looking for a card that’s inaudbile over ambient your better off getting a diffrent model.

Low TDP, current limit at 170W
Why does this graphics card not pull the advertised 200W that online says it is supposed to? Currently I will see a rare spike into the 190w power range, but I am often sitting at current limits of 170 watts. Graphics cards in my past (3050 and 1680) have all pulled and sustained their posted power draw ratings. Not that i want the same performance with higher wattage, but obviously this leave me to wonder if I am missing performance.

Efficient, Cool Running, An Excellent Choice for a Air Cooled System
I’m very pleased with my Gigabyte Windforce RTX 4070 – it runs cool and quiet and rarely draws more than 175 watts playing WOT or RD2 at 1440p. If you’re like me and air cool your system this is important. We rarely run the AC so I really need to be watchful of the BTUs that my system puts out. The 4070 should be fairly future proof for at least the next few years I wouldn’t buy a GPU with less than 12G vram. Coming from a RTX 2070 Super it delivers a third more fps and runs much cooler doing it. If you don’t need thermal efficiency I personally would look at the RX 6750 XT as it has 16G vram. But the AMD is like 335 watts v this card 215 watts. This card is a no frills unit – cool running but no RGB bling.

Sweet gpu for a alright price
Upgraded from a 1660 ti so I can’t be any happier really. I’m loving the ultra preset on almost anything I play, except for a few games like cyber punk.I’ve only had to use dlss3 or whatever it is on a few games but that has looked great also. Everything else so-far I’m native 4k 60 fps or moreOnly gripe would be it took over a week to ship and go 12hrs away must have been out of stock.

Fan Noise not as GOOD as I expected
While there are many aspects of this card that I find satisfactory, there is a notable concern that I must address: the noise level of the fans. Unfortunately, the fan noise is quite noticeable, to the extent that it has impacted my sleep. This is a significant drawback for users who value a quiet working or gaming environment, especially during night hours. Great card!
It was really good. I got an Asus 4070 OC ($620, open box), and an XFX merc 319 7800xt ($540) to test as well and this was a lot lighter and actually performed slightly better than the Asus. It is very power efficient, however, in most of the games I tested (fortnite, starfield, doom), the 7800xt got about 10% more fps. Yes, the 7800xt used about 270W and the 4070 only 170W, but according to my math, that’s about $1.50USD/mo difference.

Awesome card, but not as much of a performance increase as expected..
Decided to upgrade from a 1080ti to this card and it’s been fantastic so far. It runs super cool, can play any game I’ve thrown at it so far at or well above 100-120fps on maxed settings in 2K. I am finding I am now usually being bottlenecked by my CPU which is an intel i7-8700K CPU 3.70GHz coming at you straight from my system info because I forgot what it was and I’m high as hell right now about to hop on Starfield with my best friend.

Great Card
I upgraded to this from a GTX 1660Ti. Works so great in my system (i9 10850, 64gb RAM). My graphics are amazing, my games play amazingly, I’m basically as pleased as I can be with my system. My system runs whisper quiet and never gets over 75C. This card is a steal at this price and I can play all games I want to play at the graphic level I want. Highly recommended.

The 70 series hits the sweet spot again
Used this card to replace a 2070 super in my system. The 2070 drew more power but wasn’t nearly as fast. I am loving my 4070, it’s been super quiet and was surprised to see it only uses 1 8pin connector yet is significantly faster than my 2070 was. Also told my buddy to grab one during Black Friday and he is super satisfied as well. The price was simply the best for a 4070 and the 4070 is just the best bang for your buck right now. It’s also a Gigabyte card which is usually my go to brand for 3rd party GPUs. Would happily recommend after months of use.

Could not be more satisfied!
If you don’t mind using DLSS then this card is a much better option than the similarly ranged AMD cards for a few reasons.Despite not having the same rasterization ability as the closest comparable AMD cards once you have DLSS turned on you will be getting significantly better frames than what you would be on the closest comparable AMD.This card is going to fit into more pre-built computers than equivalent AMD models because it has very low power supply requirement relative to the performance it offers. This GPU takes dainty sips of power and I didn’t even have to upgrade my PSU in order to get it working. Conveniently, it also has a single 8-pin power connector.If power consumption is an issue for you either for monetary or environmental reasons this is an excellent choice.This card is very good at 4K for the price range. I’ve been getting over 120 FPS on older games like GTA V at 4K and on newer titles like Red Dead redemption 2 or Cyberpunk, with DLSS turned on, I’m getting in between 70 to 95 FPS at 4k.Some older but still demanding titles like Arkham Knight run in 120 FPS for a large portion of the game with drops only going down to the low 90s.I got this card specifically because I wanted to be able to get significantly more than 60 frames per second at 4K in the most demanding games at ultra settings.So far the card runs at in between 30 to 37° c when idle and the most I’ve seen it go up to under heavy load is 47°c. It is winter here so that may contribute to its low temperature but so far it has been excellentThe third point I’d like to make about why this is a good value GPU is that PC ports have become very problematic in recent years and having the Nvidia DLSS software to help mitigate the performance issues that accompany poorly optimized games for the platform is invaluable. If a game releases in a performance issue riddled state then being able to switch on DLSS and brute force it into a playable state is a lot better than just deciding not to play or playing with excessive performance issues.A feature I unexpectedly ended up loving was the Nvidia reflex and reflex boost. The improvement in input latency is surprisingly noticeable in FPS games and I hope that it becomes industry standard in the future.I have not found a single game that I cannot play on ultra with at least 60 FPS so I really could not be happier.

Excellent GPU
Excellent graphics card. Plays everything from the older games to the newest on the highest settings without breaking a sweat, though some of the more demanding games will need the help of dlss to run at higher frames. The temp’s are excellent staying well below 70°C running whisper quiet! I’d highly recommend you get this card if your looking for an upgrade I’ve been all smiles with it since I’ve purchased, you can’t go wrong! Oh and the frames you get with it are truly impressive, along with the dlss3 you get plenty of frames without compromises thank you Nvidia for dlss!

Brackets are cracking
Do a little looking about on Youtube about this issue, and the way Gigabyte is handling warranty claims, which is uneven at best. Worth every penny!
Isn’t a huge gain over the 3070ti previously, but for the amount I paid ($550 compared to $780) has made it a great value. So far the games I’ve played are holding at 60-70fps @ 4k/120hz.Wish this would have been available before I bought the 3070ti. 4070 has been worthwhile since day one.

Compré esta tarjeta como el primer componente con el que pienso actualizar todo mi computador. Sumado a esta tarjeta, actualmente tengo un i7 4790 con 16 GB de RAM en DDR3. Si bien compre pensando en este detalle, lo primero que me “sorprendió” es que solo necesita un conector de corriente de 8 pines. Incluso la GTX 970 que tenía antes tenía un conector 8+6. Sin embargo, no ha tenido absolutamente ningún problema de funcionamiento hasta ahora. Pese al procesador viejo que tengo, debo decir que, por si misma la tarjeta, es capaz de levantar todos los últimos juegos en maravillosa gráfica. Como ejemplo, Starfield me corre en promedio a 70 FPS, Overwatch 2 entre 130 a 144, Battlefront 2 supera los 144, Flight Simulator en promedio a 50. Todo esto con RTX y DLSS y sin que la gráfica me pase los 60°C. Es la mejor inversión que he hecho en años en mi computador, valió totalmente la pena. Ahora seguiré comprando el resto de componentes para mejorar aún más la cosa. PD: no se siente ruido al jugar, es increíblemente silenciosa para el nivel de rendimiento que tiene

Good price for a 40 series.
I’ve been hoping for a while now to get one of the 40 series for a while now but given the prices of most of them I’ve been holding off for around 2 years now as my graphics card is the last thing I’ve been needing to upgrade and I can say I’ve had better upgrade in the past but this one is still really good as I’m going from a 2070 to this with resolutions at 3440×1440 I’m seeing a nice improvement across all the games I play with what I can have the settings at and the FPS I’m getting and while it not completely silent it’s not as loud as others have made it out to be.

La tarjeta gráfica cumple con lo que promete en cuanto a brindar un buen rendimiento dentro del juego y proporcionar una buena entrada de aire con sus tres ventiladores internos. Además, estos son silenciosos. Lo único negativo fue que, al recibirla, noté que dos aletas del radiador estaban dobladas verticalmente, aproximadamente unos tres centímetros. No puedo mostrarlo en una foto ya que la tarjeta está instalada en mi PC y no quiero desmontarla nuevamente para tomar la imagen. Aunque el daño fue mínimo, decidí dejarlo así y no devolverla, ya que funciona correctamente. Sin embargo, no me gustó que me la vendieran con ese pequeño defecto.
