Better picture quality than my old Plasma TV

Loving this new LG TV. Delivery was great – we left the garage door open and they placed it inside.Easy to unpack (there are some helpful Ytube videos on this – would suggest you watch). Picture quality is perfect when you use the FILMMAKER MODE setting. Connecting to our home WiFI was super easy also.PS – pickup a cheap ($20) bluetooth keyboard and mouse pair. Makes using the LG menu’s MUCH easier than using their Wand remote (although you still need the Wand handy for some stuff).

Video, screen, and sound quality is tops for this 48 inch OLED. I love LG OLEDs tvs. For the price, it is so worth it! Very high end product!!!

    Concierge delivery issue

While this TV is spectacular, I had a small issue with the full-service concierge delivery. Yes, they brought the TV into my home, yes they unpacked and attached the stand to the TV, yes they set the TV in place, and yes they took away all the debris. But after they left, I found two screws and three plastic mystery parts on the counter. Since everything seemed to be working perfectly and since nothing was falling apart, I just tossed these “extra” parts (I’m trying to NOT continue to throw stuff in our “junk drawer”.Then last week I decided to replace our other aging TV with a second one of these great LG TVs. Concierge delivery was no longer an option so I unboxed and set up the TV myself (Youtube has several wonderful videos on this). It was simple and I immediately saw where the two missing screws should have been inserted in the TV stand. Also saw where the three missing plastic mystery pieces should have been attached.I don’t think that these unused screws and cord holder plastic (mystery) pieces are an issue but I am surprised that the delivery guys, who said they set up these TV all the time, would have failed to finish these set-up details.

    Great tv, horrible delivery!

The tv is terrific, but the delivery was the worst! Who leaves a thousand dollar tv at the front door without ever letting the recipient know it was even shipped let alone delivered? The tv sat outside our front door for more than 36 hours before I happened to check & see when I could expect delivery. Shipping it earlier than expected is pointless if I was never even notified it was coming at all!

    Amazing color

Color is amazing, I hate every “smart” feature a TV gives now adays and I can completely ignore them, so that’s a win in my book

  6. George A.

    4.0 out of 5 stars

Great for everyone but maybe not for gamers etc

The TV can be overwhelming at first with the menus, remote and options but for the general public its a great TV with a great picture when watching shows. Tested using Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix and a blu ray player. The remote is solid with an optional Wii like pointer on screen which helps to navigate (use the included infrared remote extensions if your sitting at a distance etc). In terms of proper distance to sit from the TV, I have to say it also looks great sitting up close or far away or to the side.Note: If you are gamer, PC user or picture quality enthusiast be warned the option to disable GSR and TPC has been removed (disabling the TV from dimming down). Also you must use a 2.1 HDMI cable unless you want to experience artifacts on screen and screen tears.

    BUY IT

I debated for sometime over whether or not to spend $2500 on this TV. Well, it went on sale for $2149 and I couldn’t pass it up. I’m absolutely thrilled with my decision. Going from a 120″ screen projected by an Optoma HD28HDR to this is a night and day difference. The vibrancy this tv offers is truly wonderful! Who knew downsizing could be this exciting!! My recommendation, if you’re in the market for the best quality TV and can’t quite justify spending $5000 on the M3 model, this C3 is 100% the way to go. Best price to quality on the market as of 01/2024

    Incredible screen

I’ve been using the 65” CX/C1 now for 3 years, starting off as a gaming monitor and eventually moving out to the living room because it’s just so great for movies. Finally picked up this C3 after months of comparing different brands and couldn’t be happier. Every game looks incredible, easily handling 120fps in 4k with undetectable input lag. High speed movement is very clear and smooth. Whipping around hitting 180 degree flicks in FPS games feels easier than it did on my old Alienware ultra wide. Even standard dynamic range and HD signals look fantastic. I didn’t experience any issues reading text or doing productivity work in Windows. I recommend looking up C3 settings guides on YouTube to get everything calibrated on your own, specifically nVidia control panel settings in windows and default power saving settings in the TVs menu. I was a little worried 55” would be too big at ~40” from the display, but I couldn’t be happier now with the size. If you sit closer to the screen, I’d highly recommend going with the 43 or 48. I’ll be a lifelong LG customer. The only downside compared to the CX is the placement of the volume buttons on the remote. It takes some getting used to finding the button without looking due to the way they sit deeper/more flush with the housing, and you’ll frequently hit the home button right under it. Minor gripe though and you do get used to it.

    Super TV very clear

Love this TV, so bright and clear, had to dumb down brightness by using eye saver. TV works as advertised, perhaps better!

    Worth Every Penny

I’ve had my fair share of nice displays and I can honestly say the picture on this tv is absolutely stunning. Thought I’d want a soundbar, but with LG’s AI Sound Pro it fills my small bedroom up pretty nicely. If you are disappointed by the quality of this tv, then chances are you’re extremely picky. Also gaming is a beautiful experience being that it’s a 4k 120hz display.

    Amazing as a monitor!

I use this TV as my monitor. Primary for gaming, 120hz with the 0.1ms response time is MUCH more fluid than my old IPS 144hz 1.0ms reponse time. Games look and feel more fluid. Plus the colors and contrast are amazing!I highly recommend this to anyone as a PC monitor.

    Great TV. Bad Remote

The TV itself is great. Very clear sharp picture, vivid colors. I gave it four stars because of the remote which is not intuitive and somewhat confusing. I’ll get used to it eventually but in this day and age there is absolutely NO excuse for remotes that are not backlit. Heck, the remote for my cable box is backlit. Surely a $1700 TV can come with one.

    Its bigger then you think

What a great OLED, once you set the picture and audio settings to your preference, the motion image quality is top notch. Many, many features the photos hardly does it justice. Highly recommended.

    Excellent picture and beautiful blacks

It’s hard to fault this TV for anything at this price. Maybe the data agreements are a bit annoying. I plugged in my AppleTV and my Vizio Atmos soundbar and everything just works.

    OMG !!

Me and my husband are senior citizens and have owned many Tvs. We never thought we would see a better picture than from a plasma Tv. Using the settings of the chart I have with this review are outstanding! If you do not get a incredible picture after these settings just return the Tv as you most likely received a Tv with a bad panel. We have the Tv in a dark room 10 x12 with a Vizio sound bar through the earc. The dolby Atmos and digital sound is outstanding. Watching Jack Reacher on prime which is streamed with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision is outstanding. Buy it and enjoy!

    Love this OLED!!

This was the best price I found. It may seem extravagant, but it was worth it as I watch a lot of sports. Now I can see the ball and plays, so I enjoy watching even more. Love the picture quality. I haven’t gotten through all of the features this smart tv can do.

Had the TV for about a month now

Pros: First off, the picture is drop dead gorgeous. Regular HD broadcasts are clear with rich color and I actually find myself looking for streaming 4K content because it blows you away.No issues with brightness. Added to the experience my old TV was a 55” Samsung (a good TV), but jumping to 77” is a WOW.Got to give Amazon delivery credit. They showed up on time. Unpacked the TV, put on the base and placed it on my TV stand. Made sure it turned on and powered up. Then took the box and packing materials away. Quick and efficient. An overall excellent delivery experienceWhy only the 3 stars?Cons: The LG UI navigation is a bit clunky and their magic remote is a bit strange to use at first with it’s optical sensor. I was warned about this in reviews. Even the universal remote features don’t totally control all my cable box or other streaming devices so I’m stuck using multiple remotes ☹Anticipating that the navigation wasn’t going to be the greatest I decide (as recommended by some reviews online) that I would still use my 4K Roku streaming stick instead of only streaming through the LG. After about the 3rd day the Roku stick kept crashing and rebooting while streaming. The stick had worked fine on my other TV. Had long chats with both Roku and mostly LG tech support. The take away is the LG customer service is just TERRIBLE! After trying multiple settings and resets with LG on the line and two call backs they promised to have their higher level tech support contact me. That was about 2 wks. ago and I still haven’t heard from them. After following the recommendation from someone on an internet board, turns out the problem wasn’t the Roku 4K stick or its connection to the TV, it was the LG TV’s USB ports couldn’t provide the power that the 4K Roku stick needed. Once I plug the Roku stick into a USB plug and then into the wall the issue was resolved. I actually run two Roku stick off the television now with both sticks plugged into the wall. Not happy that I have two USB ports on this new TV that I now can’t trust. Also you would think that with all the diagnostics that LG did and steps for me to check and change settings no one thought to say: maybe it’s a power issue? The other night I turned on the TV and I guess there must have been a software update that somehow reset the TV to change my “Accessibility” from the remote to voice assistance. I could only move to icons by clicking, up, down, left or right and every thing was announced by the TV audio (very annoying). The TVs country of use registration was reset too and that booted me out of all the LG channel services. I called LG again and the technician was clearly reading from a script and asking me if my “Wi-Fi was on” or to “check cables”, this when to start I told her what I thought had happened-software update. She wasn’t getting it and kept putting me on hold only to come back and repeat the prior questions or ask more random questions. While I was on hold I figured out the issue myself. I eventual told her that her questions weren’t helping me or resolving the issue, thanked her, and said I was hanging up.The LG OLED is TV with a great picture and so-so navigation to apps, but if something goes wrong, hope you have some basic technical knowledge or do internet searches and can stay away from LG tech support.

    Phenomenal TV for all uses!

The LG C3 OLED is the latest model in LG’s popular C series of OLED TVs, which have consistently delivered excellent picture quality and features for high-end shoppers or for shoppers looking for something closer in price to mid-range TVs while delivering S-tier performance. The C3 OLED boasts a sleek and minimalist design with an ultra-thin panel. The C3 OLED also supports four HDMI 2.1 inputs with various gaming features, such as 4K 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro, and Nvidia G-Sync12. For the purposes of my review, we’re going to focus on gaming, as that’s been my overwhelming, primary use for this TV since it arrived and I got it all setup a little over a month ago. Here are my thoughts for the gamers reading this, and I hope it helps you make a decision — this is for the 65″ model:The LG C3 OLED is a great TV for gaming on various platforms, and I have connected and used virtually every type of gaming experience, such as PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and even my ROG Ally. Here are some details about its gaming performance:- The LG C3 OLED supports 4K 120Hz gaming on all four HDMI 2.1 ports, which means you can enjoy smooth and detailed gameplay on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The TV also supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), FreeSync Premium Pro, and Nvidia G-Sync, which can reduce screen tearing and stuttering and optimize the input lag.- The LG C3 OLED has a very low input lag of around 10ms, which is ideal for fast-paced games that require quick reactions. The TV also has a near-instant response time of less than 1ms, which means motion blur is minimal and action scenes are clear and crisp.- The LG C3 OLED has a wide color gamut and a high contrast ratio, which can deliver stunning HDR gaming with vivid colors and deep blacks. The TV supports Dolby Vision IQ, which can adjust the HDR picture based on the ambient light in the room, and HGiG, which can optimize the HDR gaming experience according to the TV’s capabilities.- The LG C3 OLED can also handle lower-resolution gaming well, thanks to its upscaling technology that can enhance the image quality of 1080p or 1440p content. The TV can also play 8- and 16-bit games from the Nintendo Switch without any noticeable banding or artifacts.- The LG C3 OLED has a new feature called Game Optimizer, which is a dedicated menu that allows you to adjust various gaming settings, such as black stabilizer, white stabilizer, low latency mode, and sound mode. You can also access the Game Optimizer from the Magic Remote by pressing the Game Optimizer button.Overall, the LG C3 OLED is a versatile and impressive TV for gaming on different platforms, and it can provide a smooth, immersive, and enjoyable gaming experience that won’t break the bank.

The best all-around OLED TV for most people

This is my first OLED TV and all I can say is WOW! If you’ve only had LCD TVs in the past, the OLED difference is very noticeable with the infinite contrast and 3D look that it gives to the image. My biggest concern with this TV was that it wouldn’t be bright enough but even during the day with 3 windows shining light into the room I’ve found it’s plenty bright enough, and a lot brighter than the budget LCD TV I had before (Vizio M658-G1). LG supports everything you could want in terms of gaming with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports for 4k/120Hz Dolby Vision gaming, VRR, ALLM, etc. I play Xbox Series X on it and it looks amazing! I also play Nintendo Switch and with a few tweaks like upping sharpness to 15 and turning Super Resolution to high it looks almost 4k! Everything I’ve watched on it looks better than ever before and I can’t say enough good things about it. After considering all my options I decided on this TV over the other options:- Compared to the LG G3: A lot cheaper but with the same processor for equal upscaling and clarity. The G3 is noticeably brighter but, like I said, I haven’t felt like the C3 wasn’t bright enough and it was brighter than I expected- Compared to the Samsung S95C: Again, much cheaper and the processor is better than that on the S95C so lower quality content will look cleaner, especially lower bitrate like YouTube TV. The S95C is much brighter and more colorful but Samsung has quality control issues, poor firmware updates, and no Dolby Vision HDR support- Compared to LG C2: The C3 is very similar to the C2 and it’s hard to justify the price increase of the C3. It was worth it to me since I got a good deal and only paid a few hundred dollars more. The C3 has an improved processor with improved dynamic tone mapping with 20,000 zones instead of 5,000 and is a little bit brighter. It also supports DTS passthrough and QMS unlike the C2. A common complaint about LG OLEDs is their aggressive dimming during prolonged high APL scenes. That issue was fixed on the 2023 models. Lastly, the C3 has a new customizable quick access menu that’s nice for changing settings in a snap- Compared to Samsung S90C: This is the C3’s biggest competition this year because they are close in price. The S90C has the better QD-OLED panel and is brighter and more colorful. I went with the C3 because of the Samsung issues I mentioned above with the S95C. I just trust LG more than Samsung as a company to support their products for years to come. Also, QD-OLED appears to have more risk of burn-in and I like to keep my TVs for a long time- Compared to Samsung S95B (2022 model): I wanted a 77” TV and the S95B only comes in 55” and 65”. Also, Samsung issues I mentioned beforeConclusion: The C3 is probably the best all around OLED TV for most people. Everything I’ve watched on this looks incredible and LG is a brand you can trust when it comes to OLED. They’ve been making them longer than anyone else and they’ve figured out how to prevent burn-in for the vast majority of users. If all you do is watch news or sports channels all day long then OLED probably isn’t for you but if you watch a variety of content from movies, TV shows, gaming, etc then I think this might be the best TV you can buy. Unless you can afford the LG G3, of course

    Major Upgrade, Very Happy

The media could not be loaded.

I had an old Vizio 50” for many years, I’d guess about 8 years. While I had the money, I just never wanted to spend it since the TV was fine for me.Well, I got some Christmas gifts that were money, with the express idea of helping me buy a TV. I chose this 65” LG OLED. It’s enormous, possibly too big for a 1Br apartment tbh, lol. I had to move my couch back a little bit.The blacks are jet black, and the whites (simultaneously) are bright enough that it looks like glare coming from them. It’s a vast difference from my old TV. The picture is amazing, and it’s 120 Hz. Coupled with a PS5 (or Xbox, or PC) it’s awesome, it even has a substantial amount of gaming settings and a little gaming dashboard. It’s like a whole different experience than my old TV. It also has all of the modern smart TV features, including of course streaming services (I used to have to use my PS5 for HBO Max, but no longer).I love it tbh. It’s a lot of money for something that honestly would be fine at a lower quality offering, but I’m happy with it.It was delivered with “chose the room” type of service, which I picked because I live on the second floor, so they carried it up for me. I set it up myself and disposed of the box/garbage.Make sure if you lift the top of the box off to get to the TV that you pull out the foam insert in the top of it, that’s where the remote and stuff is. Lifting the top off is best in case you want to save the box intact, but the foam piece is basically pressed in there, so you’ll have to carefully pull it out from the very top of the box. At first i thought I was missing stuff because I’m not the brightest. The sound is like having small PC speakers with a subwoofer, it’s far beyond my old TV. It has very loud bass, not like older TVs.If you haven’t upgraded in a while, it’s a pretty cool experience. It has a ton of features and settings. I love it, no issues so far and set up was extremely fast (I don’t have cable, I only use streaming stuff, so maybe that’s why). Slowest thing was downloading the LG app and making a profile, then connecting. Otherwise? Very fast and easy.

It’s everything I wanted and more

When I first started looking at a TV to buy, I didn’t know much. I saw a 65” TV for around $500 and almost went with that. After a lot of research I ended up being on the fence between this TV and a Sony OLED. The display on this TV Is stunning. The audio quality out of the TV speakers is also really good. The smart capabilities also all work great, I’m able to airplay from my phone, Spotify, connect to it wirelessly from my PC, and it has all the apps I need. It is all so seamless and easy to use. When I watch TV grateful that I went with this one instead of the top result on Amazon going for $500. I’m sure the SONY is also good but I can’t see it getting any better than this.

    Versatile, Seamless Entertainment Hub

Outstanding! Great investment in entertainment! You can depend on this television to actually work as advertised, and save your valuable time buying the wrong products and returning them later. In the past, I’d be hesitant to connect other products online, but this one has functioned without interruption. So far, updates serve the system well! It adapts to the content being played. It has plenty of options to adapt settings yourself. It works perfectly with my surround sound system. It adapts well to the programmed content and maximizes broadcast offerings. I love how it can function as both a “still” and “moving art frame” as well, with content that is “always on” in low power and improves the look of your living space. Handles all incoming data from my console seamlessly. Handles all “technological handshakes” like a pro! Plenty of HDMI 2.1 connections! Very thin, sleek and sharp design! Light! Amazing product!

    Absolutely brilliant

This is pure OLED. Nothing better. Every other TV tech over the last 20 years has been a workaround for NOT being OLED. Mini-LED is as close as it gets to OLED and it still pales in comparison to OLED.OLED is pure, unadulterated picture. Combined with modern processing, 120Hz, 4K+ and modern connectivity and smart features and you have a powerhouse, beastly TV.Gorgeous frame. 1/4” thin screen is mind bending. Premium OLED branding on back of TV, Stand and more. The picture is absolutely gorgeous. Infinite contrast down to the single pixel level. Expression enhancer and tone mapping make it look 3D jumping off the screen when viewing certain content. I’m upgrading from a 60” LG 4K LED HDR from 2016 that had some serious internal problems. It’s a world of difference now.I will say, LG’s picture presets take A LOT of manipulating and adjusting to get your perfect preferred settings for each one. ( it saves it and says “User settings” in parentheses after you adjust it. So you know you’ve changed it. ) If you don’t know what you are doing or what to look for in these settings you will be losing out on precious image quality. I’m not sure why they let these panels ship with such horribly calibrated settings when these are part of their premium OLED line. But it’s not a huge issue. Just takes some time and input. If you don’t have the knowledge do some quick research online and you’ll be good to go.It’s worth the premium. Don’t go back to LCD tech. Backlights are terrible.

    This is the one

I spent 7-8 days reading Amazon reviews, reading articles online about all the various TV types, watching dozens of YouTube tech videos on TVs and which models fail or which ones experience burn in. Eventually Reddit user experiences and YouTube had the best information out there. Basically there isn’t a better TV than the LG C3 in this price range. LG models resist burn in better than any other OLED. The color quality and HDR are out of this world. For ~ $800 it’s incredible. The magic remote actually works like a mouse reliably. The gist of my research is this: if you watch news a lot use LCD. That includes all the marketing jargon names like micro LED, QLED, etc. They all invariably use liquid crystal pixels. If you don’t watch the news on your TV and only watch movies without any static logos such as streaming service names, this TV is the one for SciFi content, and will likely die before burn in ever happens. I use it as max brightness all the time, but I make sure that the aspect ratio of all content fills the screen and that there are no static logos or images. This includes games that use a HUD system or connecting to a PC, all of which has static content that will cause burn in. There is a silver lining to static images on LG TVs, they resist burn in far far better than Sony or Samsung models. Which also are more expensive and brighter. Brighter comes at a cost of killing the OLED pixels really fast. Simple physics, they run hotter. If you want bright but not LCD buy a micro lens array TV from LG. But I have to say this C3 in any size is a beautiful TV. I use mostly Prime, Paramount+, and Apple TV. All content including SD content looks incredible. The AI upscaling makes old tv shows and SciFi movies insanely good. I should say though that I’ve only had this TV 2 months, but people are saying this is a notoriously long lived OLED panel, and if you don’t abuse it you’ll likely never have an issue. If you don’t want to deal with all the smart bs and being tracked and profiled or have your kids profiled based on what you watch I have a few recommendations. First use an external TV box to stream your content such as the Xfinity box or any other that you may use. Mainly because you would pass that through the TVs HDMI port. And so far it doesn’t analyze what is processed through the HDMI ports. As far as I know it’s the only way to have your privacy in your own home using a smart TV. Besides never using it because you have to log on to actually use the TV. But logging on doesn’t mean you have to use the built in apps. Keep in mind Netflix will not stream 4K off a laptop. Doesn’t matter if it’s a high end laptop or PC (there is a way but it’s a bit technical if your into that sort of thing). But it will stream 4K off of an external TV box. Yeah Netflix is run by a bunch of pricks these days I don’t use them anymore along with Disney+.

Great picture quality, smooth action for sports and movies, good value for an OLED

Got the LG OLED C3 to replace an aging LED TV. Huge difference in picture quality and smoothness of action images. Deep blacks, vivid colors. Brightness is good, too. We have had no problems with daytime viewing in a fairly bright room. I wanted to bypass LG’s opening screen and WebOS, which I was able to do with a little work and a SofaBaton U2 Universal Remote. Probably could have also done this with the LG Magic Remote and a little patience. All in all, great picture for a pretty reasonable price for an OLED TV.

Amazing picture quality, with the chops to game.

I wills tart by saying that I have been waiting to buy one of the 4k OLED TVs for almost 4 years, since the C1 was rolled out, and man am I glad I waited!Let me start by saying the crisp picture quality, full color range and LG trumotion functions built into the TV are great. I use FILMMAKER mode mostly and it does a great job of not oversaturating colors with HDR on, and getting the best looking picture for most media. I can’t say enough about how much I love turning on this TV and seeing the bright, bold colors with better brightness than previous models. In addition to the great picture though, is the great gaming platform it is. I usually game on a 2k screen that is 144hz and 99% RGB with my PC, which looks great. However being able to game at 4K at 120fps with all the pop of OLED is something to behold. Single player games especially shine such as Resident Evil 8 on Ultra-High settings, Dead Space, Final Fantasy remake, God of War, etc. The high framerate is great if you can take advantage, but that requires a serious investment so may not be worth it for everyone.Overall I have no complaints. Yes this model could be cheaper overall, but you seriously get what you pay for and I know I will have no problem using this TV for the next 10 years, 4k has truely matured to produce a near perfect product.

    Does not work with Spectrum

Very upset with myself that I didn’t do more research before I made my purchase. I bought it specifically because it was wireless and was looking forward to eliminating the extra box needed. You cannot download the Spectrum app, so you must use an external box (Apple or Spectrum provided receiver). If I had it to do over, I would have bought a Samsung. So now I have to use an Apple receiver to retrieve the channels.

Amazing TV. This OLED will not disappoint for the price point. This by far the nicest picture I’ve seen on any of the TVs I own. It has built in settings to automatically “clean” the pixels to keep the tv from burning in and the picture from degrading. My only regret is that I didn’t go for the bigger one.

    Upgrade!

I have had the CX since 2021 & it has worked perfectly with absolutely no problems so I decided to get the C3 for my Livingroom. Tv arrived with no damage to box & was easy to assemble in about 15 minutes. Picture quality is excellent (once you adjust the settings to your specific liking) & the remote plus apps are easy to navigate. I was hesitant to purchase this model because during research I found the Sony x93L to be much sharper & brighter but surprisingly this C3 did not disappoint in either area once settings were adjusted. Overall I think the LG C3 checks all boxes & is a well rounded Tv for the average consumer & I will most likely continue with this model…

Its amazing for all those things.Office use:I was worried about text clarity and general size issues but I quickly got used to this giant 42″ montitor in place of my dual monitor setup. You can easily snap 4 windows to each corner and be super productiveGaming:The game optimizer feature is really nice. VRR works very well, and ofc it looks amazing. It feels super immersive for rpg/adventure games. Probably too big for fps games though.TV:Its a quality oled display, cant really go wrong with movies and video in general

    Awesome TV

My favorite TV I have ever owned. I bought this for video games and it has the best picture of any TV I have owned. Xbox series X looks fantastic on it in 4K. TV is very responsive playing video games with very low refresh rates and very low input lag.

Great TV! terrible bloat and spyware.

I like LG OLED TVs and this one is no exception to that. Its a great picture and installation experience. I dont like the trend of spyware built into these TVs so they can keep making money off of us even after we spent an arm and a leg on the hardware its self.DO yourself a favor and disable these to the best you can. At least there are some options to do this that are on by default. Also check after every update cause they like to sneak in and reset these options.Other than that my experience has been great. Considering all the major manufactures are building in these “smart” features, there’s not much you can do about that part.I use external stream boxes mainly because of this. They aren’t really any better though.

    Movie theater

With the surround sound this 77 inch tv it’s like your in a theater, if your on the fence for a tv take the leap and buy this LG tv, the pic is stunning the colors are brilliant, I had looked at the Sony and it doesn’t match up to the LG, yes I would buy it again!

    Very pleased

I was unsure about buying and oled. I had one previously and it got burn in after that I bought a mini led which was a pretty good tv. But now that I got this tv the brilliance of its flawless picture it’s 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs it’s worth the risk. Especially because nowadays these tvs are coming down in price. Great for movies in 4k , excellent for games on Xbox sx and PS5. Even use this tv as my computer monitor.

Best image quality I’ve ever seen

This TV puts everything else to shame! After upgrading from a 37” LCD, I can’t believe how good the OLED tech is! The image quality is amazing, the high refresh rate is great for gaming, and input latency is minimal. If only they made some 27-32” models for my PCs…

    Best tv I’ve ever owned.

This is truly the best tv I’ve ever owned. I’m sure the G3 blows this out of the water but I can’t imagine a better looking picture. The thinness of the screen is quite impressive also. A tip, look up the recommended settings online to fine tune the experience for you personally. It’s a bit of work but it’s worth it in The end. I mostly play video games on it and the graphics are eye popping. Good job LG!

Outatanding picture. Mindblowing after moving from QLCD.

Picture quality is outstanding. Brighter than my old early gen QLCD. There is a higher level LG G-3 supposed to be brighter, if that is your main concern, but no reason to spend 1k more….and G3 tech is new. I have enjoyed this tv like no other I have experienced before. My advice: do some research on Sony and Samsung but keep these important aspects in mind. This TV has better protection against burn in and is brighter.

Best TV ever, but my unit has quality defects (vertical banding)

This TV lives up to the hype, at least for movies and shows. Fantastic in both low-light and bright conditions. High-quality content like Blu-Ray movies or Dolby-Vision content on Netflix is just stunning.Unfortunately, my unit has really bad screen non-uniformity issues that can be seen in the attached picture. On dark-gray uniform areas (which are common in dark scenes) there are serious vertical banding artifacts that ruin the viewing experience. The attached picture shows the artifacts well (if you ignore the reflections): vertical bands at regular intervals, with some apparent horizontal banding as well on the lower part of the screen.Apparently vertical banding artifactes are not unknown on LG OLEDs, and may go away after some initial screen usage and repeated rounds of OLED Care pixel cleaning. Because returning the unit is a huge hassle (I have the 83 inch version), I’m trying those remedies first, but unless the issue completely goes away (which it doesn’t seem to be doing) I will be sending the unit back for a replacement. However, I’m totally sold on the OLED quality (coming from a 3 year old QLED Samsung), and will not be going back.

    Honest Review

Ok, i debated for a couple months on buying the 65″ LG C3. I didn’t really need a new TV…but i wanted the infinite black levels that OLED can provide. I wasn’t worried about how bright it gets. I have 2 Samsung LCD TV’s that both have good picture but the black level/contrast is lacking. Blacks look Grey.I’ve had this TV for a couple weeks now and have watched Streaming, Bluray, Dvd, Youtube videos….no gaming yet. This TV Absolutely destroys any LCD TV I’ve ever seen. No Contest. The contrast on it is Insane…the infinite blacks…actually take some adjusting to….and it makes bright colors look down right amazing. The picture clarity is so ridiculous that once you see it….you’ll will immediately realize it’s worth every penny. Also, about the brightness…..forget about it….it’s easily as bright as both of my Samsung LCD’s that are a couple years old….literally zero concern with it not being bright enough. If you are on the fence on this one….my advice…buy it….especially if you’ve never had OLED…it’s a game changer.

Outstanding picture. A few issues with other things.

I love the picture. 5 out of 5 here. I have the following issues:1) I can’t get sound to play on my wireless Sennheiser headphones (base is wired to TV) if I choose optical out sound option. Workaround: I turn TV speaker sound to zero, or mute it, and choose the optical out + TV speakers option. Then I get sound only over my wireless headphones. The optical out only option worked fine on my previous 2018 LG OLED model.2) I wish there were easy buttons on the LG magic remote to fast forward or fast forward with smart resume. I DVR most Comcast shows and fast forward through commercials. It seems I still have to use my Comcast remote if I want to do this. Was hoping to not need that remote.3) Maybe there’s a way, but I haven’t figured out how control audio volume from my Bose soundbar using the LG magic remote. I need to use either the Bose remote or the Comcast remote. With the most recent price drop, this TV is an incredible bargain. I got it for $1,999 on Amazon. Brand new.Update: I submitted a tech support request online. Got a response the next day. In order to get sound through my Sennheiser RS 195 headphones, I had to go into Sound Advanced settings and change Digital Sound Out from “auto” to PCM. This solved my problem.

Beautiful picture, difficult settings menus, confusing remote actions.

Picture is beautiful once set up. Nice inky blacks. Gets more than sufficiently bright except on full screen white. Common OLED issue.Problems with setup. You basically are signing your life & privacy away to use this TV. Sign up is convoluted & difficult, significantly hampered by the remote constantly switching modes between pointer & digital pad mode.Out of the box, once you get past all the activation menu’s, default settings for filmmaker mode does not have those nice inky blacks, it is about equivolent to a high grade VA panel levels light bleed. Trying to find & use settings to correct this without affecting peak brightness was quite time consuming but I was able to finally accomplish that. Please note that part of my difficulty setting this up is due to my age related shakiness & having had a previous stroke which affected me physically but not intellectually.Once I finally got this set up the picture was everything I was hoping it would be. Definately brighter than my LG 27″ OLED monitor in its most accurate settings.Once properly set up the picture can at times take on a 3D like appearance without any grayish haze that you get with even they best LCD type TV’s or monitors including those with the mini LED type backlights. Granted it is quite subtle but still there on the mini LED type TV’s.Once you get past set up issues this is quite possibly the best TV in it’s size class. If it was just based on picture alone it would get 5 stars but set up issues & remote functionality & ease of use down grade this to 4 stars.Note; that to experience the best viewing one should be in a darkened room as due to its inky blacks & amount of detail in the dark areas of the screen which is the way movies were meant to be watched anyway.

    Settings are unclear

This TV is in my basement gym/playroom so it is not a bright environment. The picture is too bright out of the box. Picture modes are not well described. I think it can be dialed in but I haven’t found the brightness, contrast, etc bars in settings. The sound is better than expected. The remote is reminiscent of old Spectrum remotes. The pointer is nice but drifts when the remote is held steady quickly going to the edge of the screen. I haven’t figured out how to select the pointer vs the up down buttons. The center button rotates for some reason that is not obvious. Of course I haven’t tried to find a manual but I have been using TVs for decades. Amazon required someone be home for delivery and they might call or text first. I was home but delivery occurred at 6:26AM without call or text. The doorbell camera alerted me via phone but the delivery people didn’t know I was there. They were gone by the time I got to the door.

    Beautiful picture; confusing configuration

This LG OLED has a beautiful screen and the remote control and channel navigation features are far superior to my old Samsung TV. I almost returned this LG to Amazon when I could not get the sound to route through my high-end AV receiver (Denon)….until I stumbled upon the fact that only one of the four HDMI ports was eARC-compatible, and it was the second port on the TV, not the first one (where I had initially connected my receiver). A prominent alert and clearer instructions would have saved me much consternation. Also, the TV was delivered several days before Amazon’s tracking estimate, but I never received a text or email telling me it was delivered.

The best TV I ever bought! So good everyone wants my TV

The is the best picture quality and user interface I’ve come across. So good that i stopped using my Apple Tv!Since the purchase of my TV, my best friend, father in law bought the exact same one. Not to mention my brother in law was petitioning his wife to purchase him one also!Everyone wants to copy me!Definitively the best value for the bucks! (C3 over the G3)Coupled along with my new LG Dolby ATMOS sound bar, my living room is the Go to spot to watch all major sports events, and 4k movies!

Cut the cord and WOW, just WOW

The media could not be loaded.

Pictures and Video are right out of the box shots and taken on a old Samsung Phone so obviously not 4K.We just last month ‘cut the cord’ and decided replace our old Plamsa TV w/ our first Smart TV.After much researching we decided to go w/ the 65″ LG C3 OLED.We watch TV in what is basically a Theater atmosphere so the brighter LG G3 was not needed and much more expensive. That said, this TV is plenty good in bright room light. There is also NO drop off as you move around the room like that on a LED.Out of the box…. and just 41 pounds…. the picture on the C3 AMAZED Us!Sharp, clear, seamless video w/ gorgeous color on a 4K HDR Fish Tank Video.I am a photographer and so a fanatic on picture quality.LG’s Picture Wizard does a darn good initial setup!Researching reviews/settings for the TV recommends turning off Energy Saver. Also a few tweaks for Contrast, Brightness, Color Saturation, etc. and we were good for watching 4K HDR.I didn’t care greatly for the SDR as I like lifelike not ‘punchy’ Video. After some research I found a site (RTINGS) that had recommended settings for watching the C3 in SDR.THIS tweaking made a world of difference in the quality of the Video. This was especially noticeable on the Video from our old SDR TiVo Video Recorder. You can then tell the TV to apply these HDR and SDR settings across All Inputs.I can’t really speak to the Sound Quality as I run all my sound through an Onkyo AVR and Mission Speakers/Sub.If you are coming from a ‘Dumb’ TV setup, where everything runs First to your AVR then uphill/out to the TV/Monitor, you will need to do some research on ARC/eARC HDMI.This and all Smart TV,s run downhill.Cable Box, Gaming, Blueray, etc go first to your LG TV through HDMI in Ports. Then an ARC/eARC HDMI transmits signals from the TV to an ARC/eARC Port on your AVR Receiver. It also, in my and in most cases, turns on and sets the AVR as I turn on the TV or Inputs through the TV.The LG C series has a GREAT Menu for helping this and ALL setups. As my old HDMI cables were 10 years old I did buy new 8K HDMI Cable 2.1 cables for ARC, XBOX, TiVo .The Remote has a Cursor/Pointer Feature that comes on when you shake/pickup the remote.THIS takes a bit of time to get used to, but is easily turned off.ALL IN ALL We LOVE this TV and after only a week have just scratched the surface on the user interface.

2nd Best tv price feature wise

Just after I bought it the price on the 77” B3 dropped to 1750$. I would choose b3 over the c3 for the 500-700 difference. But it arrived and looks great not worth sending back to swap once I got it.Anti glare is pretty good. It’s a glossy tv not Matt finish which I like and the screen reduces glare quite a bit over my last tv. It has a pinkish violet color to the light reflection I think it cuts the white light reflected down by having it be a bit darker it still reflects some light but I can actually watch tv or movies with the lights on and not be annoyed. For serious watching like a movie I turn off the background lights in my room. But daytime viewing is excellent. oled is amazing I have top of the line Sony mini led and it is no competition. At the store I couldn’t tell the difference but at home where it’s not super bright lit room like a store I can see the differenceAdd says they ship out in one day but it didn’t ship for 4-5 days but it did arrive on time the date it said it would. So i can’t fault them for that.Seller had lowest price anywhere. I think I got a special deal by luck but I do want to give them credit for great pricing.I would purchase from them again.

Doesn’t get much better than this!

This TV is absolutely stunning. When it comes to a home TV, OLED panels come out on top in every way and it’s not even close. With this TV, LG checks all the boxes too in terms of desirable premium features. 4K, HDR, 120hz, Dolby Vision & Atmos, VRR, ALLM, Nvidia G-Sync AND AMD Freesync Premium. Then the game optimizer mode that brings it all conveniently together in one menu. In my opinion, this is the best TV around right now for gaming. Even aside from gaming, watching any kind of content is a great experience as well. My previous TV was a now 4 year old 50 inch TCL Roku TV, which doesn’t even come close to comparing in any way. This is my first time going for a high end more expensive TV like this and I’m very happy with my choice for sure. If you’re looking to get a more premium display and you’re a gamer as well then this is the one for you!

Excellent TV from an excellent seller with great customer service!

Excellent TV from and excellent seller with great customer service! Great picture quality, especially with 4K-compatible programming. More features than I can even wrap my head around. Surprisingly, the sound is very good, even though the audio’s specs and reviews did not give the impression that it would be so good. And the vendor was excellent with great customer service: they were very accommodating with a special circumstance and it was delivered (in great condition via ample packing & padding) even faster than expected. Well done and Thank You!
