I’m impressed!
I must admit that I had mixed feelings on this before ir arrived. (Wasn’t crazy about the idea of doing away with my bulky and expensive surround sound equipment. Wow, was I surprised, simplicity meets function while maintaining excellent surround sound without speaker cables. I now want a second system in my main floor living room so that I can get rid of more bulky expensive equipment and cables. One note to the manufacturer: This should include a remote control. Even if it is a small one like with an Amazon Firestick or an Apple Tv remote. Note to potential buyers: A smart phone is required with an app to control this setup. There is no other means. ***Discount for March***Save $100 on ALL Platin Audio productsIf your friends are impressed with your new Platin Audio surround sound system, help them out with some sweet savings! Partially unhappy and hesistant to upgrade
The system was easy to setup and the app very user friendly. I started out with concern, the system was sold as new but you could tell it had been unboxed previously because 2 of the speaker bags were broken and there were fingerprints on the speakers. The adjustment for the speakers are easy and work well. I do have a major problem with the subwoofer. It’s has a crackling noise in it like it was a manufacture defect so you have to keep the bass turned down this kinda ruins the purpose of home theater sound. I attempted to communicate with seller regarding possible warranty on it. We have to go through Amazon and their system wouldn’t allow me to send the request I uploaded my statement and I haven’t heard a word back. At this point I’m very disappointed in my new system. I was going to order 2 more speakers to convert to the 7.1 but now I’m hesitant. The other speakers have great sound! If the whole system was working properly it would probably have great sound.

Good sound
There where some flaws in this system but overall, this will work for us. 1) soundsend would not link to Bluetooth sometimes so I had to unplug the powerchord and reset the box to get signal again. 2) bass isn’t as loud as other brands 3) the inability to not control the soundsend on multiple devices 4) had to use optical plug to get a better sound then the hdmi

I absolutely love it
I’m running this system to broadcast audio wirelessly from my projector to the speakers around my room. The signal comes from my chromecast (or my nintendo switch) is routed through the hdmi to my projector, and then runs through the optical out on my projector to the Platin Milan.Overall I would say this system does an excellent job. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who don’t know how (or don’t want to put in the effort) to trouble shoot. The app for it could use some additional support. It took me a little bit to figure out that I needed to change BOTH the audio source (optical) AND the audio mode (I had only connected one speaker at the time and it was running 2.0 audio so I wasn’t hearing anything as it was a surround right speaker)But I have it setup now and it does it’s job! And honestly? It sounds pretty good. I’ve had zero latency issues and it gets plenty loud for your home movies etc. Is it as good as a wired system for the same price? Almost certainly not. But hey! I bought it BECAUSE it was wireless and I didn’t have the room for a full audio receiver.I suspect Platin delivers even better systems in the future. They seem like they’re trying to be the premium audio system for your wireless needs.

Sound cuts out constantly, have to reset audio output.
After owning this system for a year now, I would have to say I regret buying this. The sound sometimes doesn’t work, sometimes it is distorted. Multiple times a day I need to reset by selecting tv speakers, then back to eARC in the audio output menu. Quality when it does decide to work is good. Finicky little system.

Nice but won’t stay connected
These speakers sound good and are very easy to set up. But the only way to control them is Bluetooth and it disconnects every day. So I have to go unplug the main connection and plug it back in to get it to work on my phone or tv remote. It’s a pain in the butt but the sound is good when they work.

Awesome sound and price friendly!! No more speaker cords LOVE IT!!! Easy app setup
These speakers brought life to my smart tv games and videos/movies! I waited 3 years to purchase a wireless system because of pricing and i am a tightwad budget kindof guy. But this system is definitely for entertaining parties, guests, gaming, and adds excellent surround to the room. I am very happy with my purchase!!

No buyers remorse heee
I have been looking for a affordable surround sound system that has Dolby Atmos for a while and shopped several different brandsI came across the Platin brand I love the idea of wireless speakers and the affordability of the Platin surround soundSo I decided to purchase one I was still a skeptic up until I connected the system which was easyThe sound is as if you’re in a movie theater and as far as for games on your playstation or Xbox this is where I believe the Platin stands outIf you’re playing a shooter game you know exactly where enemy fire is coming from based on the soundWell worth the purchase 👌 especially if you enjoy having a movie theater like experience at homeStrongly recommend this product

Great value Great Sound with small footprint
Just bought this because it was $200 off and wow really impressed so far.The only negative is the sound control I can’t figure out how to get it work with my Direct Tv remote but other than that it’s great.I have a 20×20 living room and this is perfect. The speakers are small which I love. You will need an outlet for each speaker so plan accordingly.Currently have it set up as 5.1 but I heard that 3.1.2 set up is even better you can certainly add speakers as well to get to 5.1.2

Perfect Wireless Surround System
I’ve tried a number of wireless surround sound systems and this is the only one that lives up to the marketing hype. The speakers are small and attractive but incredibly powerful and setup is absolutely the easiest I’ve ever used. You simply plug everything in, download the app and use the extremely user friendly GUI on your phone to setup your speakers. It even automatically balances the sound based on how many speakers you plan to use, from 2.1 to 7.1, depending on how many speakers you bought with your system. If you bought 5 speakers and decide to increase to 7, you simply buy the additional speakers and integrate them into your set up.The app enables you to have total control over each speaker’s characteristics independently. This system is absolutely a great bargain. The only thing I don’t like is that the downward facing sub speaker is exposed and unprotected. Also, connectivity is a little quirky when you try to use the TV controller and speaker controllers at the same time, as it will sometimes disconnect and I’ll have to reboot the entire system. The app works OK, although it’s easy to get it to lock up. The only reliable way to get it working again is to unplug the power from the transmitter. This only seems to happen if you close the app before the TV.Although you can control the volume from the TV remote control, the app and TV volume controls do not synchronize and they seem to compete for volume control making the sound volume unstable.

Not worth the price.
Easy to set up but they constantly need to be reset . The left front speaker already stopped working. Now a few months later the right front speaker no longer works. Do not buy these made in China junk.

Great system. Awesome sound. Super easy set up. Well worth the price. My only complaint is speakers need a better way to mount them on the wall.

Less money than Sonos – about equal performance – Some Issues
The system is ridiculous easy to set up. The speakers are first class quality. The sound of the Milan 5.1 Surround is excellent in our TV Room. Best of all is the WiSA technology. The system recognizes the 5 speakers and configures in seconds automatically. It uses a new standard (WiSA) that is quickly being adapted by TV manufacturers and other wireless speaker companies. No WIFI, no BlueTooth; it creates its own 5GHz network and does not interfere with our home WIFI network at 5gHz. The system decodes Dolby and the sound is delivered to the speakers in CD quality, actual a little better by the numbers. I can add up to 7 more speakers in this system such as ATMOS or Rear which I can purchase individually. I am impressed. I’ve listened to SONOS and they are comparable; the Platin brand systems are just easier.UPDATE: I returned the system. My initial review was based on a set-up in free field conditions with line of site from SoundSense transmitter to speakers. The room was free of Wireless Access Points. Unfortunately, when I moved to the intended final location, where existed one fixed 5GHz Access point 10 feet from the SoundSense issues started. Further, I was forced to locate the SoundSense in a cabinet losing line of sight and the SoundSense then could not communicate reliably with the speakers. Drop outs occurred mainly on Center channel which was most annoying. I moved soundsense to the cabinet door so I could leave it open when watching and listening. This was unsightly, but gave me more or less line of sight to speakers. Unfortunately drop outs still occurred. I still experienced a rolling drop-out when, according to WiSA standard, the transmitter sensed interference and was trying for a clear 5GHz channel for all speakers to use. So I set my five WAPs to channels, which were normally auto switching, to fixed channels outside the DFS bands that are used by SoundSense. This improved things a bit but not totally. The final deciding factor was that my Samsung Frame 65 forced audio to the SoundSense when it was turned on. thus I could not easily turn off the eARC path to return to regular TV speakers if drop outs became too annoying. Finally I will mention that once drop-outs start, they get progressively more frequent during a program. I AM REALLY SORRY THIS DID NOT WORK OUT. It’s not Platin’ fault. I’ve read reviews elsewhere on other brands using WiSA standard and they too experience some of the same issues. The WiSA approach is cutting edge now; the standard just needs to evolve a bit more.

have the best wifi connection possible
bought product for enhanced sound n subwoofer. thought wireless would be great. however, signal would go in and out, static noises (which called for several troubleshooting options but found too many troubles). im not saying product was bad. going from tv to playstation seem to be too much for device. each speaker n subwoofer n home soundsend device needed an outlet to plug in(cant just charge it?) couldnt sync with each other at same time. not all the time, but i had the awesome experience for bout 24 hrs after actually using it after set up. i was more fruatrated daily with new surround than i was with plain stereo. have gone back to stereo. the sound was great when it was n’sync(lol). sure for an area great with wifi, no problem, just not in mine. definitely know i want the experience

It works amazingly with a Sony
I have a Bose surround system and a fancy Yamaha home theatre system. This is better if you have the power plug points. It’s simple to set up, plug and play, with the Sound sense app on the phone to configure and fine tune.Doesn’t work well with all TVs – I had an issue with the sound cutting out for a microsecond every few minutes. But it was amazing enough that I bought it a second time when I upgraded my TV.

It will disappoint you!
The media could not be loaded.
Sooner or later it will disappoint you. Audio comes and go as it pleases. At times I think bad weather affect its performance, but is so often even in beautiful sunny days that I can’t even tell anymore and it will destroy your watching experience. What I love though is that when it works it’s pretty decent. If you never had a surround sound system you won’t want to just play stereo again. The speakers are sexy and they quickly disappear on the background (find the speaker in the second picture) and love the fact the sub it’s so slim that fits under my couch we’re I sit. The volume is quite good for us but annoys me to up the volume to 35 to have the woofer kind of kick in. But once you on 50+ and a good movie it’s on. But don’t forget to pray. I would give it a solid 3 stars but i find myself rewinding multiple times and often the same part just to catch on with what’s going on. I really wouldn’t recommend if you can run wired speakers you’ll have a better experience. Price wise is not bad for a 5.1 and upgradable to a 5.2 or 7.1 but I’m hesitant to add any more money to this system. If there is no way to run wired speakers I guess you can give it a try. Good luck.

So much better than a soundbar
It can be a little finicky but once I got it working I fell in love. I have heard better sound but not for less than twice the price. And this is real surround, atmos even, so there’s no comparing it to a soundbar of any price.

Great Customer Service
I am not an audiophile, but I think it sounds good, the wireless syncs up well with the TV. I ordered the kit that came with the stands but was missing a piece of the stand. Emailed support and they immediately replied and sent me the replacement part. It is nice working with support where they are responsive and helpful.

Big sound upgrade!
Had been searching for an option to get better audio from our TV. Sound bars are easy, but our TV sits just above the mantel so sound bars block part of the screen and obstruct the IR receiver. I used Klipsch powered bookshelf speakers, pretty good sound, but huge and visually obtrusive. Enter Milan. I have it set up as 2.1, sound is great. I can hear dialog, feel bass and there’s width to the soundstage. The soundsend app is pretty poor, would be nice to have better control over speaker locations and such, but can’t argue with the sound. While I can appreciate high end sound, I wouldn’t call myself an audiophile, but even as a 2.1 system it’s great. Kinda wanna make it a 4.1 now! (No room for center channel for same reasons as I couldn’t use soundbars)

Great audio system
Plug & play very short installation time mainly unboxing. The system finds all the speakers automatically. Sound is amazing. I couldn’t ask for more. To appreciate the sound quality play oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre & rack the volume.

Speakers kept cutting out
I was super excited to receive these wireless speakers.. when I hooked them up to my smart TV and hit Pandora Music.. they sounded great! But when it was time to watch a movie, the speakers kept cutting out for long periods of time. We did all we could to try to keep this from happening! It made watching movies very unpleasant…they had to go back!

This system was easy to set up & initially worked & sounded great, however when the tv is turned off & later back on the error msg comes on the screen that there is no ARC connection to the device every off & on cycle. I have to reconfigure, re-sync to get the system working again. Very annoying.. the solution can’t be leave the tv on always.. how do I fix this error?

Not reliable
When my phone shows I am connected to SoundSend and I can manipulate the volume there is no sound whatsoever. Other times when my phone shows I am not connected and I cannot get on the SoundSend app the volume will work. Now the last two times I have reset and nothing is happening they are not working at all at this point I wish I had mailed this back earlier within the 30 day deadline

Easy setup is the biggest benefit so far
Smooth sailing at the moment. Setup was incredibly simple, and the sound quality is great (note that I’m not an expert, I just know that we like the upgrade). I’m getting split-second skipping in the sound once every 5-10 minutes, but from what I’ve read that’s probably an issue with either streaming device a bit far from the router (which it is) and getting a weak signal, or interference from the in-home wifi. If I’m not able to resolve it eventually I may knock this down to 4 stars but at the moment I think this is a me problem.

Good, but not great
sound quality is loud..but not crisp.. definitely doesn’t rattle the windows like some reviews have stated. I bought the system on sale for $499, down from $899. No way this system is worth $899. WiSA is great compared to holes in the wall and wires everywhere though. 3 stars.

Terrible
The speakers kept cutting out and losing connection. The sound quality was horrible. I spent 1/4 of the cost on the Vizio sound system and am very happy. This can only be controlled thru an app on your phone. The speakers were low grade quality and very light. I had the sub woofer cranked and could barely tell that it was on. This was connected to my 75 inch Sony TV.

Great sound, easy to setup
It’s so sleek and stylish. I love how its tiny size fits so nicely in my small room. It was so easy to set up. The sound is excellent! My dog turned his head funny when the dogs came running up from behind on “The Old Man” (great show – check it out). My son thinks it’s funny to hear the squeaks and splashes on “The Floor is Lava!”

Needed wireless speakers for newly finished basement
Purchased this system as the speakers were wireless and did not need to run wires from the base unit to each speaker. Pretty much a “plug and play” solution. Each speaker does need a electrical outlet to plug into, but setting up each speaker and balancing the system to optimize the “surround” sound capabilities was a snap. Very happy with the purchase and the ease of use.

I love my Milan system
I love my Milan system. I haven’t really used the app other than to boost the sub up a bit, and it synced perfectly to my LG TV. I use the TV remote to control the volume. It’s great for the bedroom. We watch a lot of streaming content there. The Milan is small enough to fit in nicely and let us get fantastic surround sound!

Sound is really good
Used the app for set up and it took a while to figure it out, but once I did it I navigated well, even though I’m a 71 y/o somewhat techie. This system replaced a Bose surround from 2005…was expensive. This one, 2 Thumbs Up….like it better than the Bose. Easy to configure and rich. Paired w/ Sony thru screen sound OLED. Best tv sound given LG or Samsung. Only 2 days but appears it’s gonna be a happy addition.

No WISA Interoperability or lows.
I thought the purpose of WISA standards and certifications would include the ability to use other manufacturers’ components. This doesn’t appear to be correct, at least, between Platin WISA transmitter and Klipsch WISA receiver subwoofers. If I had blow out [ear]drums, no serious issue, then I unwrapped the Soundsense sub. Then, the big plus, the sub just simply doesn’t make a sound. Each customer support points to the other OEM. Should simply work!Too bad, so sad, returning. Thank god and Greyhound it’s over. @wired

I’ve been waiting for a year to buy this set and I lucked out on Amazon Prime day with $200 off! These are amazing. I was having some issues with sound cutting out, but after a quick reply from customer service I got it worked out with a some setting changes to my LG and a firmware update on the SoundSend device. Working excellent now. I have this in my motorhome which I full-time in. Sounds awesome.

Bad Connectivity
Sound was decent but not worth the headache of having the speakers randomly cut in and out. We tried every recommended remedy and where never able to actually run through a full show without the sound just dropping off and random speakers losing connection.

Wow! Incredible
My expectations were low given the price point but wow. Arguably sounds better than my Bose cubes. Bonus is that setup is the easiest thing ever.

Do not buy – works poorly
In a phrase, this high priced surround sound set is “absolute garbage.” The app doesn’t work most of the time, have to u plug and replug the reciever every time I want to turn it up and down, my brand new $3k Samsung tv doesn’t have esync, so the speakers only work with the app not the remote, I’ve had to completely reinstall the app multiple times to get it to work a few times then reinstall again – buyers beware. Im sure there are some tvs this works with, but not mine, and there seems to be nothing I can do about it

Speakers keep disconnecting
The wisa sound send is absurdly unreliable. I’ve gone through the manufacturer recommended steps, like restarting it and all my wifi routers to avoid interference but the speakers still intermittently drop from the device making it a pretty terrible audio experience.

It sounds amazing! Best surround sound I have ever purchased.
This system replaced my entire clunky Sony Reciever and massive Klipsch R-100SW 300W Powered Subwoofer and it sounds better. Hands down, wireless is the way to go and this is the product you should choose. I have never written a positive review, but felt compelled this time due to the impressiveness of this system.

Wires do not fit in the speaker stand 🙁
The picture shows no wires when the speakers are mounted on the stands. When I received the system, we went to work doing the set-up and found that the plug part of the wires that plug into the speakers is too large to fit inside the stand so the wires are exposed. We were trying to avoid having any wires exposed. As a result, we had to reconfigure the setup but the system sounds amazing!!!

Better than Dolby Atmos & Fully Customizable
I purchased the Platin Milan 5.1 Surround Sound System on September 19, 2023 for $450. I went to NFM, Costco, Sam’s Club and other places looking for an audio system to suit my needs for my Sony Bravia 85 inch TV. I found that any of the soundbar systems did not let me customize the speakers or surround sound to my liking, this includes the newer Dolby Atmos. I installed the Platin Milan system and it was easy to install. Their phone app makes syncing and customizing the speakers easy. The sound is so good when you are watching TV the rear surround speakers will have a distant conversation, or you will hear papers shuffling, or a door close and you can’t help but turn your head to see if there is a really a person there or if it is coming from the speaker. To me, this is the ultimate test if I can’t tell the difference from real sound or reproduced sound. So real, you will need to turn your head to see if it is real or not. I really love this system as it does exactly what I expect surround sound to be. If you do decide to get this, order it with the rear speaker stands. You want your speakers to be as close to ear level and the stands will do exactly that.

Very pleased!
This is the best, most immersive sound we’ve been able to achieve in our living room. Our living room is wide with high ceilings, open to the dining room and kitchen with the tv mounted against a stone fireplace. Over the last several years, we’ve tried 3 different soundbars. The platin Milan system is, by far, the best sound for movies and music in our living room…and also the least expensive!Only complaint: I have lost the bluetooth connection between my phone and the WISA SoundSend device on 3 occasions. To reconnect, I’ve had to unplug the device to reset.

Mediocre system but good for the price. However, I would not recommend due to vol control issues.
The system was relatively easy to set up. The surround speakers work great. However, I have two issues. I checked the company support link for info. But nothing applicable was found. So I wrote to them directly. No response yet. My issues are with the bass vol and sound control. Nothing I do seems to affect the bass vol. It is barely effective. And the overall vol control process is terrible. All vol controls are now relegated to the phone app. My TV remote doesn’t work. It is bad enough to have to use the phone for vol control. But the app is on both of our phones and only one works at a time. So if the other one is connected and I am watching a show, I need to find the other phone to control the vol or disconnect it to use my phone. I can’t see this working out long term. So I would not recommend this system as is.

Wireless Convenience
This set is very discreet. the speakers are low profile and don’t stick out like larger sets. The sound is good, setup was a snap. Be aware that there is no dedicated remote. You have to download the Soundsend App to control the volume, unless you are hooked up with a compatible TV via arc. The app is intuitive and you can adjust each speaker individually if desired. It also has a function that allows you to set your distance from each speaker so you are getting the best balance possible. The speaker sound is great, really really clear and rich. The only thing I was not 100% satisfied with is the subwoofer bass. I was replacing a Bose Cinemate system and the subwoofer on the Bose would shake the house. I have the Platin subwoofer turned up as high as it will go and it is a more subtle bass unit. Don’t get me wrong, it still sounds great, it just is not as booming as I expected. The cool thing about this product is that you can add another subwoofer or a couple extra speakers to make a 7.1 or 5.2 setup. I have not done so yet, but I plan to add on in the future. I usually run the volume at about 75% and I feel like I am at the theater. Bottom line, I LOVE the wireless setup. I did not want wires running all over my house, plus I have relocated the satellite speakers a couple of times simply by plugging into another outlet. You might get a more booming sound from a traditional wired system, but if wireless is your desire, this is a great sounding unit.

Not much on control big on sound
Doesn’t come with a remote but it does provide an app for your phone, as if we don’t already have enough! Giving credit where it is due, I purchased the optional stands and grateful that I did. They perch just above the couch and provide an option other than wall or floor.I reached my objective of not having to blast the TV speakers to be able to hear throughout the room. Watching movies, it provides the theater quality background sounds like the rumbling of jets or whistling of the wind which I really like. Absolutely a good buy other than the controls.

Getting what we expected and hoped for.
I didn’t expect a incredible theater like experience when spending $400. That said, we are happy with the product, we are getting about what we expected.
