Over a year later, still great…
So far the only problem was my own fault. I have no real complaints about this iMac, except that it would be nice to have more than two USB-C ports. I had to get USB-C adapters to plug in my old stuff.

Rod Family Rebuttal
With respect to gaming, Mac’s are simply great at playing games when purchased through the Mac App Store or the iPad App Store. Obviously, the Rod Family is side-loading or downloading third party buggy games; no surprise they are having constant hiccups. Their problem is their software choice, not the iMac.As far as their suggestion on “spending your money on something more long lasting and reliable like an actual PC”, they are dead wrong.Nothing lasts longer than a Mac and nothing holds their resale value longer than a Mac.Mac’s depreciate about 10% per year after purchase; PC’s about 30%. So, say you buy a Mac for $1k; you can easily sell it for $800 two years later. Buy a PC for $1k and you can garner at most $400 through resale two years later.The Rod Family failed to do their research, and their review is simply unreliable.

You can’t go wrong with Apple! You also can’t go wrong with buying Apple on Amazon.
If you’re considering buying an iMac, buy it from Amazon to get it at a discounted price, unless you really need a custom build. I’ve had my iMac for about 2 months now, and I’ve had no issues… The same goes for all other Apple products that I’ve purchased through Amazon.They’re almost always discounted, and they just work.

typical iMac, works well
Would prefer a the full length keyboard instead of the small version that’s included. Also for the M1, works okay however never feels fast and spiffy… even on quality wifi browsing. Does use a non-standard connection on the power cable to the body of the iMac (unlike 20 years of power cables.) Why reinvent that connection and the wheel there? This iMac just meets overall expectations so it’s fine for our Grandma or the little ones. If that’s you, great as this is the entry level price point. Otherwise may look for a bit more advanced iMac or MacBook.

i bought one but the only drawback it does not have expandable memory slotscome with 8gb and thats all…with what i do it slows down a lot and have to reboot to speed up..i like the mac’s but it need to have more memory

It works flawlessly
I have favored using Apple products over the years. My work life has given me the opportunity to use Windows products when it comes to laptops and desktops. I have also owned Windows laptops and desktops for home use in the past and will never go back to them for my personal use.I currently have a MacBook Air, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Homepods, Apple TV and now this new iMac which has replaced my older iMac. Apple ties everything together using iCloud. When everything works together it just makes life easy. With this iMac I have now stepped up to a SSD and that along with the new M1 Processor it makes this machine fast. Really fast.The migration assistance software that the iMac comes with allowed me to easily move everything over from my old iMac’s Time Machine backup. In no time at all I was up and running with my old desktop settings and all my Apps from my old iMac on this new machine. Rosetta 2 translates and runs a few Apps that are still Intel CPU coded.The 24 inch display is another plus for me. Beautiful colors and resolution.The fingerprint security on the keyboard is nice but my old iMac would unlock via my Apple Watch so it isn’t something that I would had to have.One negative is the ports. You either buy a USB Hub or like me purchase a few USB-C to USB Adapters to allow older devices to connect to the newer ports.I am pleased with it.

Best iMac so far
I’m downsizing from a 27in iMac to this 24in and I can hardly tell the difference. Every video I watch on the screen is smooth, vivid, and clear. Due to the new Apple M1 chip, 4K videos play without any lag and no matter how many apps I’m using, this computer doesn’t even stutter. It is amazing how they can fit such a quiet and powerful computer into a body that is as thin as a macbook. Speakers are so small yet they are stronger than previous models. The magic mouse, keyboard, power cable, and included lightning cable are color matched, even the sticker is color matched to your model! I highly recommend getting the 8 core/8 core gpu model as the base model doesn’t come with the touch ID on the keyboard – a very underrated feature. The upgrade from the base model also includes an ethernet jack on the power brick as well as 2 more usb-c jacks in the back. The power button and aux jack are located to the left of the screen on the back and side. This is not just a computer for casual home use, it will function perfectly for the majority of users – person and business. If you are looking for a new Mac, look no further.

There are a few things I wish I had known before I bought this…
…I wish I had known that Apple had switched to USB-C ports for all accessories. This machine only has 2 of them–not a real problem, IF I had known other things:I didn’t know what an ordeal it would be to use a SuperDrive with it. For those of you who don’t know, A SuperDrive plays most discs–audio CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, pretty much anything except Blu-Ray. It also has the ability to write (play) those formats. I still use audio CDs. I have a HUGE iTunes Library, which I have been building since iTunes first existed (iTunes started as a way of storing music from CDs). This is my 3rd iMac.I had assumed that to solve my lack-of-ports problem, I would be able to use a standard USB hub. It worked fine for the 2 aftermarket external Hard drives I have. But not the SuperDrive.Finally, I got advice from the Apple Support Community to buy an Apple-specific adapter cable. It works!Other than those issues, this is working out to be a damn nice computer… It’s plenty fast and the picture quality is stunning. It’s a little light on storage–256 GB–but that’s Solid-State storage, like what’s in a thumb drive, so it’s faster and more durable. And right now, storage of most kinds is very inexpensive.Now, everything is working well. I’m glad I bought this.

Zero support 2 years after purchase even with Apple Care insurance.
Im a 20 year Apple customer age 65 living abroad. Bought my 4th Imac when my 3rd proved obsolete (bummer). Avg usage 20 hrs per week or less, mainly as wordprocessor or zoom, video or audio files. Recently a black line appeared accross the screen and slowly the image started acting strange until finally it disappeared. Having Purchased a 3yr Apple Care which supposedly works internationally, I took my IMAC to our local authorized service center on Nov. 7th. (Jet Stereo, San Pedro Sula, Honduras). To date, I have not received a diagnostic, or notice of possible repair except that they are awaiting answer from Apple California and I should wait. After a month, I am worried and asked for a contact where I could follow up to no avail. Please Help!

My Admiration for Apple Just Gets Higher
This new iMac replaces one that is 13 years old. Don’t get me wrong, the old one still works, but it is so slow by today’s standards that I needed to invest in a new one. I have an iPad Pro, so I am not totally out of the loop of modern day tech, but this iMac is AMAZING!The screen is like looking at a super hi-res photograph and it is lightning fast with any task you put it to. Cannot recommend enough.

Extremely fast and efficient
Never had an Apple Mac before. Used pc’s for 30 plus years. Decided to try an iMac and this seemed to be the latest with the M1 chip. I also purchased the Microsoft for Mac conversion so that I could still use EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINT. I also set up the file transfer from my laptop pc to the iMac. While it took about an hour to transfer files, it was successful, although it did NOT transfer pictures nor favorite bookmarks, so I had to go to each web site and save on Safari. This took a while but Safari is much faster than the other sites I have used in the past. For example, on pc it took 3 minutes to get to my bank’s website, on the iMac it takes about 5 seconds. This is an incredible machine. I still have a lot to learn about all it can do. By the way, I am 78 years old, so don’t panic about learning something new if you have never used an Apple product before. I also recommend that you purchase the extended warranty which allows you to contact Apple support 24/7. These people are very, very nice and are extremely helpful in solving problems if you should have any. I highly recommend this Apple iMac!!!!!

Good product but do NOT USE AMAZON PRIME CARD FOR IT
The 12-month installment payment will NEVER happen. And it could be even worse than you think. A quick fact is that I got deducted for the WHOLE amount in August (I adjusted the autopayment immediately in July at Synchrony bank to the promised installment payment after I decided to keep the iMac). The reason? The bank said that if you make changes in July for the auto payment amount it will come into effect in September. So, no matter what you do, you would be charged the whole amount in August if you previously chose to autopay the statement balance. A huge bug here. After 2 hours phone call, the bank agents said the only way they could do was to send this $1500 by REGULAR MAIL WITHOUT TRACKING number. Wish me good luck. By the way, don’t call the customer service at Synchrony bank unless you have at least 2 hours to get angry and are willing to give them the opportunity to ruin your rest of the day. If I can give stars for the payment method, I would give Synchrony bank a 0.

Works OK but overpriced
I bought this for my family to have a computer on the main level without needing to buy everyone their own laptop. My family just needed a space that could run modern browsers (yes browsers. Old computers don’t even support chrome anymore) and applications. It’s sleek and thin and simple to install which is nice for a non tech savvy family. Now it’s not a powerhouse of a computer. I can’t run photoshop while Lightroom is running. And for the price you’re really paying for the all in one package NOT the performance. The display is really nice. Family pictures look great on there and there’s a lot of color and detail. I just wish the m1 chip they brag about did more instead of look sexy. But it does look good and my family isn’t trying to build an AI to make decisions on how to better improve our nation’s food supply – yet…

So easy. So pretty.
Just like other Apple products, set up is super easy. Coming from PC’s is a bit of a learning experience but not bad. The only thing I would improve is the keyboard. Tiny and not ergonomic at all. I want to buy a friendlier keyboard but don’t want to lose the sign-in key. Other I love this computer.

I’m always amazed at the effort Apple goes to with regards to their packaging and product! Simply amazing! I wish they wouldn’t change their ports as much as they do but heck that’s progress for you. It only took me about 1.5 hours to get my up and running on this new machine and most of that time was spent finding passwords. Now all of her Apple devices on are on her iCloud account and separate from mine! I know, years ago I set her first phone up on my account and man was that a mistake! Lesson learned! Kudos to Amazon for delivering this device a day ahead of schedule! Amazon is the bomb!!

La computadora realmente es increíble, tiene una hermosa pantalla y todo lo bonito que ofrece la iMac, pero, cuando la compré supuse que la de 8 Núcleos vendría con conexión USB, pero vino con 4 tipo C, es un inconveniente a la hora de usar discos duros o flash memory, en todo caso con adaptadores la cosa funciona bien.El rendimiento genial hasta que muestra el límite de funcionamiento, por ejemplo con 10 pestañas en Safari, trabajas con RStudio y música y OBS funcionando a la vez la computadora se vuelve realmente lenta, algo que no pasa en la MAcbookPro.Con todo creo que falta desarrollar ese procesador que pueda conmigo, no uso muchos programas complejos y el rendimiento me dejo mucho que desear. Del resto muy feliz

Top-Quality Device
Since I am a novice with MAC computers, I’m only able to do a fraction of the capability of this device, and, therefore, cannot give an informative review. Each day, I try to experiment and learn something new that I can accomplish, but the process isn’t as intuitive as I had hoped. Thankfully, I have grandchildren to help when I’m completely stuck. The device is beautiful — bright, large screen, streamlined keypad and mouse, which makes the time spent working on it quite comfortable.

the machine is awesome !
this iMac fits nicely in between the old 21 and 27. the new chip made in-house is a nice feature. I have an older I Mac that I love. I am not a gamer at all, but speed is still important. could have bought the intel 7 gen. and been happy just the same. I do not have or need a “smart phone”. my only problem was in the delivery. I pay for prime . item was promised and in stock. 7 days later, item was dropped on porch. no signature was asked for . Best Buy had for same price. could have walked in and had in hands. . if you choose amazon, make arrangements for pick up. 2 grand is a lot to leave to chance. overall I still say buy this one. I am gonna get another soon.

Tips for New Buyers
Let me begin by saying the obvious: There is nothing like the Mac Experience. If you’re using a PC, I’m sorry. Perhaps one day you will see the light. The iMac I purchased is beautiful in every way, and I have no complaints at all. However, I do have one tip for new buyers. Once you set up your iMac, the very first thing you need to do is make sure you have the latest OS. To do this, click on System Preferences and then click Software Updates. Most likely you’ll need an update, so do that before you do anything else. You’ll need to reboot your iMac and that will take a few minutes (it took mine around 15 minutes), but then you’ll be able to do everything else you need to do, such as setting up your App Store account. Other than that, the iMac is ready to go out the box, and what a beautiful box it is. Enjoy!

When face timing someone the sound gets distorted and you can hear yourself. Echo doesn’t do it all the time but majority of the time there’s always feedback.

Great computer but watch out large format printers
I replaced my old 27 inch I mac with this new Mac1 24inch unit. Great computer but anyone who has a wide format printer be aware. I spent hours on the phone with Epson and Apple to no avail only to learn that certain wide format printers do not work with the new M1 chip. I have an Epson stylus pro 3880 and it does not connect with the M1 chip. My Epson WP2760 works perfectly. I discovered on you tube that a gentleman has the same problem with his Canon wide format printer. I hope Epson will solve the problem. Luckily I have an older Mac Book Pro which hasan Intel chip and all is we..

I love this new iMac
I was very happy that Apple decided to issue colors on their new iMacs. I got the blue one and I can’t be more happy with my purchase. I have always loved the apple designs and this new thinner iMac is amazing. Its quiet and very quick to start up. I would suggest getting the mid-tier model as I felt that the base model is too cheap. As a side note get the ram and storage options that you want because this all in one unit can not be modified one you get it out of the box. Also I would opt for the magic keyboard with the 10 key pad. I did not and I wished I did as all the accessories are colored matched and can not be purchased separately . but like I said go with the mid tier and you won’t be disappointed.

Easy if you’re already an iPhone user
This is my first Mac, and so far so good.I’ve always had an iPhone since iPhone 3 (I think), and also have an iPad. Therefore I’m very familiar with iOS, so setting up the Mac was a breeze. However, I’ve only ever used Microsoft PC’s in the past, so switching from Windows to the Mac interface is a lil tricky at first. I’m slowly getting it, but liking it all so far.If you’re already an iOS person, you’ll love a Mac. I do so far, and will probably never go back to PC (but one should never say never).Cheers!

Great computer but expensive
Received my computer in 7 days. Ive been using it for 2 moths now. Great computer, awesome look but its expensive considering what you’re getting. Cant upgrade cant fix. I wonder how long this computer will last.Have in mind that the computer only comes with 2 thunderbolt ports. If you use usb 3.0 goood luck finding a cheap port since good ones cost $300. I love the keyboard and mouse. Overall great computer but I just wished it was cheaper.

I was very hesitant to spend so much on a computer. Ive had Dell and HP in the past. I love Apple. So glad I bought this. I had my friend set it up for me who works with computers. He transfereed the info from the HP to this one. Absolutely wonderful. I will not go back to any other brand. Highly recommend. The keyboard and mouse is great. No batteries. Rechargeable and fast. Im very happy with this computer.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! …. THIS IS A REFURB. The Apple 1-Year Warranty Has Already Expired
UPDATE:I called Apple following the link in the ABOUT THIS IMAC (click apple logo then click “about this iMac” then click “more info” click “details” under “coverage expired” then click “GET SUPPORT” and you can contact apple which I did. I asked what’s up with the expired warranty and Apple support FIXEED IT by me submitting a copy of my Amazon sales invoice AND the serial number of the iMac. Now my iMac has the full 1-year standard Apple warranty and the option to purchase the additional three year Apple warranty. So, DO CHECK YOUR WARRANTY ASAP and contact Apple if it shows EXPIRED so they can fix it.NO WHERE on Amazon did it say this FULLY PRICED iMac 2021 iMac was a refurbished computer. It came in the large Apple iMac box and looked brand new, but the box was sealed with white tape, not the typical Apple pull-off sealer. But when the iMac was up and running I clicked on the Apple logo (very top left of the screen), clicked on ABOUT THIS IMAC then clicked MORE INFO and under warranty it states “””EXPIRED”””. So this SOLD AS NEW Amazon iMac 2021 24″ computer comes with NO WARRANTY other than the Amazon 30-day return policy. SO BEWARE PEOPLE and definitely check to see what the warranty status is on yours. It’s right there on the computer screen. Click the Apple logo very top left of screen, then click ABOUT THIS IMAC then click MORE INFO and the warranty status is right there listed for you to see. And, you will find it is NOT UNDER WARRANTY. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

A++ for Apple & Amazon!
Came as expected and on time in a secure, undamaged, brown box. This computer is even more beautiful in person. If you are debating whether to get the 256 GB or 512 GB like I was, I suggest getting the 512 GB, it could save you money in the long run. If you just want to use the computer for casual web searches, the 256 GB is fine. This computer so far is amazing, very powerful and looks amazing! A++ for Apple and Amazon!

Brand new to Mac use. Apple support has been amazing helping me learn and adjust to the difference between my old PC and new iMac So neat. No wires all over. Good quality. A bit slow and laggy when playing games

may be ok …. but, Amazon Apple ships with old software
Went to migrate old Imac to new one, and could not do it. The computer had not been updated to new software. With very fast download speed, it is saying it will take hours. Wonder if I sould have bought from Apple directly?

Another great Apple product
This is a really nice computer, replacing my 13 year old Imac. Very compact and nice large monitor.Programs almost the same, a little different in some areas. Still getting used to it a little. But it seems faster. Just wish Apple products were a little less expensive,after all they are made in PRC, so labor must be really affordable.

Migration Assistant does not work
Migration Assistant chugged away for almost 3 days [no progress bar], so I had to shop for USB to thunderbolt ports to transfer my data – new macs have no USB ports! I’m hoping the wireless mouse won’t eat batteries like cheese, or I will need a USB port for that cable. Can’t find a way to manage image sizes for desktop Wallpaper – Help file leads me to somewhere that doesn’t exist. Most of my data transferred, but there is no widget available for Weight-Volume-Length conversions, so I’ll use a bookmark for that. Initially purchased because Quicken will no longer work on my old Mac.

The new iMac doesn’t disappoint!
I first I thought it was a splurge, but after using it for the past two weeks I now realize my iMac is a must-have! Love the big screen, the clarity is breathtaking and I have room to open several windows simultaneously without the content becoming microscopic. It’s lighting fast, apps open quickly, and while that sounds like a small thing I’m surprised at how much more I can get done. The sound quality is impressive, so is the mic, and I love the Touch ID keyboard -again, little things like typing passwords numerous times each day really add up to a lot of time. I’d been playing with the idea of buying the iMac for ages – SO glad I finally did!

Transferring info from older computer to new computer goes smoothly .
I once taught computer classes to students PK – Fifth grade. Mac sold me on their product over 25 years ago when I saw how they handled the use and abuse by Elementary students. They are so people friendly. Will always be a Mac person, also love the fact that I don’t have to worry about virus like the PC world. This is my 4th personal Mac desktop. Each time I had to buy it wasn’t because the computer was broke but because they were so old they couldn’t keep up.

Buy the Apple Care
This is/was a replacement for an older iMac. Buying from Amazon got it here quicker, but with fewer choices of build(1) I thought I had bought the Apple Care add on service, but evidently did the order wrong on the Amazon website. Get the Apple Care. Amazon’s “included” tech service is not comparable. Pay the $ extra up front.(2). There is no printed instruction manual for this machine. All web based.(3) This machine has different connector cables than my old USB (and likely yours). Talk to an Apple knowledgeable rep and get the right adapters to connect your printer, etc. peripherals with the machine..

8GB is enough for average user
For my use case (die-hard windows fan, with a 32GB RAM machine), this MAC is going to be my second computer. Just to get into the mac world. Got the 8GB machine because I know it’s enough for my use case (and amazon doesn’t sell the 16GB version anyhow). Hook it up to an external NAS server and all of a sudden 256GB seems like a lot of storage.I like this machine a lot already. the best? 1080p FaceTime Camera, the screen is simply awesome and it is my new go-to for teleconferencing and working from home machine.Bear in mind, in their desktop world, this is an entry-level machine. Designed for ‘home entertainment’ more than professional work.
