I absolutely LOVE this iMac
I’ve always been a big fan of Apple products – I have an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch – but I’d historically used a windows-based product for my computer needs. My HP laptop was getting a bit dated so I decided to treat myself to this iMac and I’m so happy that I did. The Apple operating system took a little getting used to but it was easy to learn using simple google searches for anything I couldn’t figure out.I do use Microsolft Office and OneDrive and that was super easy to install and get up and running. I like to have my OneDrive files on the cloud and on my computer so I knew I needed to upgrade the memory to 512GB fit all my photos. One reviewer had given a poor review because he had not ordered an iMac with enough memory but that’s user-error in my opinion. You need to figure out how much memory you need before ordering.Anyway, I’m now 10 days in and I couldn’t be happier. The screen is beautiful and the colors of everything are more vibrant and true than any previous computer I’ve had. I will never go back. I’m now an Apple computer convert for good 🙂

Great Computer
I upgraded from an Intel 2019 27″ Mac. It was an impulsive decision and I regret it, but it is a better computer. The computer is much faster, but not enough to warrant the upgrade. It was very easy to set up. Everything loads faster and the apps from the phone that work are a huge improvement to logging in to the usual junky websites places that are mostly app based create. I think 27″ is too much, so I must be weird. The regret is really that it’s not much of an improvement over the 2019. I thought bluetooth 5.3 would be better than 4. whatever it is, and it makes no difference. My headphones cut out when I go in my kitchen. I think it’s worse. I also thought wallpaper would work with the new chips, it does not. I don’t know why they can’t figure that glitch out. It happens all the time for years, then it goes away for years, then it comes back. There’s some funkiness with Music which makes me have to quit and restart it too, but that continues unabated as well. Basically it solved none of my problems with the 2019. I was also worried there wouldn’t be a new one for years (since there wasn’t last time) and that they are going to stop updating the OS on the 2019 soon, probably next year. It probably wouldn’t have been a big deal though, because the 2019 is still a wonderful machine and they still do security updates for years. The 2019 has so many ports and a huge drive. I bought the midrange one so I’d get more ports since it was the same price as the low end at the time, so it was a good discount. It’s 5 stars for an upgrade from something really old. It’s a 3 for me.

M3 iMac can’t go wrong, almost.
Very fast and wonderful screen. On the lower end specs wish it had more connectivity but easy to solve. I wish was at least 27” but really because this works so great on your desk you’ll forget about the size. Happy I bought it.

Worthwhile Upgrade from my M2 MacBook Air
The M3 iMac has been great to work with. Since I prefer screen real estate over portability, I decided to upgrade from my M2 MacBook Air when I heard that the iMacs were upgraded to the M3 processor. Somehow, I didn’t hear about this announcement during Apple’s “Scary Fast” event in October. I have a 27″ 4K Dell Monitor to extend my 24″ iMac screen to provide a lot of space to work. In debating the $1,299 versus the $1,499 model, I decided that the lower cost model was sufficient for my needs. I’m not a gamer so I didn’t require the higher Core GPU. Additionally, two ports met my needs. I went with the green model to match my green iPhone 15. I like the color; it’s refreshing and feels spring-like as the season is about to change in the Northeast. I had an existing Azio Retro Keyboard and a Magic Trackpad, so I didn’t need the included color-matching keyboard and mouse, so I recouped some funds by selling them on Marketplace. As I’m slightly color-blind, I didn’t initially realize that I received the color matching accessories as I thought they were only included with the $1,499 model. The person who purchased them brought it to my attention. It would have been nice to know in advance that the accessories were color matching for those of us would have this affliction. It didn’t mention that in the description. The iMac M3 is a great, fast computer and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend it!

Great, fast machine. Now, my 2 cents:
It’s a great, fast machine. That said, and I know to a lot of folks, it’s nit-picking, but the system application icons are incredibly ugly, and it bothers me… I mean, they’re so bad that I can’t stand to look at them on my dock, so I’ve removed most of them. Particularly egregious are the icons for Launchpad, Mission Control, Screenshot, Font Book, Print Center, Preview, News, Music, iMovie, Image Capture… they’re just plain ugly. Sorry, but they are. So, along with not being able to run any 32bit applications, the inability the change the native system applications as was possible in earlier OSs, it’s a bit of a let-down. Yes, I know what you’re saying – just get over it – but it really bugs me. Apple can do better. Why take away the ability to customize our desktops? Just saying. On top of not being able to run my old Adobe CS6 on this thing, the ugly as all get-out icons that can’t be changed is a big drag. Signed, Picky Petty.

I have wanted one of these for many years. I have always had PC’s , mac is different for sure, but I didn’t have to much trouble adjusting to the differences, and I’m 80. I still have 2 windows laptops, and use all of them still.

Worried about shipping high priced electronics?
First off, you have to know what you want before buying any computer online (all your research should have been previously done re: tech spec review, knowledge of the options, suitability to needs and interfaces, actually using one at retail outlet, etc.). So this is not a technical review. When buying apple, prices seem to be fixed; not a special deal on Amazon, however, with prime, no shipping charges. So my worry was shipping physical integrity. Apple exceeds expectations here, unit was extremely well packaged and over wrapped with non-descript brown box. Arrived without damage and as with all apple products, it just works right out of the box. Migration from old Mac using Time Machine and local backup drive. Easy.

You get what you pay for!
I’ve seen a few negative reviews regarding the tech specs.. but they’re all there before you purchase so that is not Apple’s fault! I received my iMac this morning in perfect condition with all the correct color matching accessories. I also have all 4 ports which is stated in the specs as I saw someone that didn’t. There are two lightning and two regular usb-c (picture included). It is a beautiful design and I am very excited to use this desktop. As for storage, this is perfect for me as I will not be needing as much storage. If you need more storage, you need to purchase through Apple, not Amazon. I definitely recommend for users who don’t need crazy tech specs and storage. I will simply be using mine for video editing and some gameplay.

I’ve been using my iMac from 2011 for 12 years everyday at work, it still works great but felt like it was time to upgrade. These computers go forever and will outlast any PC. Apple makes the best computers and laptops by far.

Beware: Effectively has only one Thunderbolt port
The description says “Two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports with support for: DisplayPort”, but it turns out that for some strange reason you can’t use them both at the same time. I upgraded from an Intel iMac with a two-monitor setup, and now I’m down to a single monitor. Apple Support have confirmed that this broken behaviour is intentional and they don’t plan to fix it.

From the opening it’s perfect.And it’s so much better than the old version.I’ve always used iMac and I had struggled before due to the fact it’s slow. But this iMac m3 is perfect. I love how Apple designs it so detailed. Even the box handle shows the same color that you ordered you computer. And the keyboard is the same color as well. I made a review of the unboxing. Cause I didn’t see anyone unboxing it. Hope this helps.

Vibrant Display, Good All-In-One
The media could not be loaded.
I use it mostly for design and web based programs, and this computer works well for me. The display is absolutely beautiful and it’s the perfect size for my 67 inch desk. In general I’m not a fan of the Magic Mouse so I swapped that out, but that’s just personal preference. Happy with my purchase!
