Battery life leaves something to be desired
I’m having mixed feelings about this purchase. The iPad is very fast, especially compared to my old iPad Pro. The battery, on the other hand, is not very good. I can’t get through the day on a single charge. That is my only complaint. The resolution is great and 4K videos look astounding.

Awesome tablet especially with the apple pencil
It’s been years I’ve used an apple device with a screen and coming back was nothing less than spectacular.I’ve used other tablets and pencils but having an apple pencil to use with the iPad is simply graceful. The weight of the tablet was a big point for me as I walk around with it a lot. The features and short cuts are amazing. The visual and sound fantastic and the creativity apps is the main reason I bought it. I’ll be working on architectural projects and this is just what I need to edit and track all that will be taking place. The sketch book I love that I can have layers of notes and drawings and I can lock them to avoid any changes and hide them when needed.I’ll be using this for some online courses in design and I can appreciate the refinement of this tablet over many others. Even though it cost a little more but you get the years of support and lingivity of the device without having to frequently replace it like some other brands.Plus I’m loving the 3 months free apple TV and apple Music.You can never go wrong with an apple ipad.

Wrong Color
I ordered a Starlight IPad 5th Generation and I received a gold one. I don’t want the hassle of exchanging it so I’ll live with it, but why give an option for color if your choice is disregarded? I am disappointed. As far as the iPad, it’s a great product, very fast and the transfer was easy, I just wish it was the one I ordered.

Significant Upgrade
Amazon offered this iPad Air as a “Black Friday” deal which was unsurpassable between any and all on-line or in store sellers, beating everyone by a cool $100! How can I say no to that? It was time to upgrade from a first gen iPad Air to a 5th gen! Wow, what a difference. The M1 chip is leaps and bounds over the A7 it replaced. Amazon’s front door delivery was spot on and secure, thanks in part to one of their professional and courteous drivers. I have no nit-pickin’ issues with either the Apple product or Amazon’s service, just a big thanks to all that were able to make a very happy customer.

iPad Air is great
I bought the IPad Air because I have a lot of lecture classes and the table in the lecture hall is super small, my MacBook 13” is barely hanging on to the table. BUT the iPad Air just did the job. It is small, light weight, and very convenient to carry around. It did all the job that MacBook could do, in exception of some of the big program like Indesign and Sketch up. The battery is long lasting , could last about 2 days, if you only use basic note taking app. I also tried using Photoshop and it is very nice. My line work has gotten more neat and accurate than using my Mac. Still, I do not recommend open document that is larger than 11×17 cause it would slow down your IPad a lot.

I’m not crazy about Apple. They seem to keep ripping me off, but I do love the apple iPad air. It came with a lot of different offers but then when you try to use them they turn out not to be free you’re supposed to get three months free Apple TV for instance, they charge me 9.99and wouldn’t refund it😡

Change from Android tablet to Ipad is a learning curve.
The screen is great – not too small and not too big to carry with you. The picture is vibrant and clear. The learning curve in changing from Android/PC based products to the Ipad has been the most challenging part of this product. One thing I really like is when I use the split screen – one to read and one to take notes the cursor stays in the note app without me having to move it back – I can just type.

Great tablet for the Wife
This was a gift for my wife since she had a much older generation iPad. This was a big upgrade for her. The screen is clean and sharp. Having the Apple Pencil 2 is a plus for this model and the M1 chip is stable and fast for the simple tasks that my wife needs on a day to day basis. This is great to carry for traveling and a reliable, solid piece of tech from Apple.

i really dont like apple, but after researching it was claimed to be the best option for gaming. i got this to play genshin impact and honkai star rail and the graphics are beautiful, there’s no lag, and no memory storage issues. HOWEVER i dont use it for anything but those two games, so people who store alot of photos etc on their device, or lots of other apps/games, i can’t speak to the storage limits in addition to that, but despite not being a fan of ipads this one is doing exactly what i needed it to.if youre planning to play genshin on this id recommend a controller because combat can be tricky on the touch screen due to the size of this particular device, but ive been managing without out one well enough, it would just definitely improve the experience. star rail ofc doesn’t have that issue as its a turn based game.

Replaced my original iPad Mini
The iPad 2 was my first iPad, I moved on to the original iPad Air and then the iPad mini. I’m not crazy to upgrade to the latest iPad so I have to base my experience off some older devices. Other iOS devices include the Apple Pencil 2, iPhone XR and I also own a 2019 Mac Book Pro.It seems every time I open a new Apple device I always find myself smiling simply by unboxing the item. Definitely held true with this device. Before making this purchase I balanced the features and functions of this iPad Air Gen5 with the iPad Pro and the latest iPad mini offered in May 2022. Balancing the performance and features, I found the iPad Air to be the best compromise. I liked that it has the same processor as the iPad pro and I wanted a larger display than my previous iPad Mini. I opted for the 256 GB version which when comparing price, the 128 GB pro isn’t much more but I was trying to stay in a budget as this was going to be used as a study tool and if I decided I didn’t like my experience, I’d pass the device along to a family member.What I do with my iPad device:* Read* Take notes* Web browse* YouTubeEverything on this device is very snappy, as things always are with new iOS devices. The screen is quite vibrant and extremely responsive.Reading: I have not made this my daily driver for reading, but I am an Amazon Comixology subscriber and I find this experience is really nice. I generally read on my iPhone XR, as it is very easy to hold and always on me. I’ve read on the new iPad a few times, but still find myself reading books on my phone still as I don’t worry about falling asleep in bed with it and dropping it on the floor.Taking notes: Wow, this is my first time using the Apple Pencil, but what a great experience. I used the built-in notes app for a couple days but then downloaded GoodNotes 5. What a great combination for taking notes. My only possible gripe is a noticeable shadow appears around the tip of the Apple Pencil when moving it around, not sure if that’s a feature or an artifact of the LCD, but it annoys me on a rare occasion.Web browsing: Great experience as it is on other iPad devices. A really great feature I’ve found is taking a screenshot of a web page in reader view and capturing the full website and then importing into GoodNotes5 for markup.YouTube: I can have YouTube open to the side and take notes while watching an instructional video, very handy.Overall, it’s a great device. I didn’t need a better camera (iPad Pro), as I don’t take many pictures with any of my devices. The iPad Pro offers a better screen resolution and a higher frame rate, I don’t think I need it for my use though. The Mini would be a little more portable, but I’d still have to put it in a bag to carry it around so I think for the price the iPad Air 5th gen is the overall best choice for me.

Excellent Upgrade! Fast, Fast, Fast!
Started using an IPad back when the IPad 2 was the latest and greatest thing… 2011… Every two years I have purchased a new model. I have also used a work issued model for creating projects, e- learning and screen casting with students- You name it, I have just about done it or seen it done with an IPad, … My favorite Internet connected device by far!My latest upgrade was just made to this IPad Air, 5th edition. I had hoped to wait until after the New Year to update to a new model — old one was still working well enough… But, darn it all if Amazon didn’t take 8O.$ off the price and neatly offer their deal as an early, Black-Friday option. I checked the Apple web site and other well known retail spots, and all had the same- much higher- retail price – So I pounced!The order came to my door about 4 hours after ordered- was turned on, updated, and in use soon after that.This is absolutely the quickest connecting IPad I have used… one of the lightest, and definitely the fastest web surfing tablet I have touched. I like the visual design with no home button and narrower bezels, but was unsure how use would actually be without the dedicated button onboard. I had recently set up an accessibility optioned home button on my IPhone – so after checking the settings on the new IPad, found I could do the same thing. If you are unsure about not having the home button, or concerned an older family member might not have a good experience without the familiar setup, you can make one using the accessibility settings and place it anywhere on the screen you like. Everything else on this IPad Air is a major improvement. Do not hesitate to pay a smidge more for the Air as the tablet itself is well made, beautiful and good enough to replace a laptop when paired with a keyboard and mouse. I do not use the pencil so cannot comment on that, but if you take the time to read about tricks and tips in the new operating system-this one is ready to use for a good long while. Merry Christmas to myself, and no regrets… Absolutely a great buy, a great product, and an overall good order and delivery experience. (be sure to get a case for your new IPad… makes a difference in experience and longevity for sure…) 😎

Great Battery and very Useful!
I use this iPad for school work and I love it. I had an iPad Pro before this, but it broke and didn’t have a way to do my school work and needed a fast replacement.This iPad was perfect! Although it is a downgrade, it works just as well as my pro. I spend a whole 9 hours on it working several apps at once and the battery lasted! And the screen doesn’t lag when it gets hot.It’s light, and thin, which works well with my small backpack I carry around. It also came with an Apple charger- which is awesome.I have two complaints. One, the iPad doesn’t have face ID on it. It’s a slower log in because of it, but it’s not a huge issue for me personally. I used to have a home button on my iPhone, so I was pretty used to it.Two, non-apple charges don’t work on it. I forgot my charger in my dorm and used my friends Samsung charger. The iPad wouldn’t take the charge. I’ve also tried with my other chargers from Walmart. But the apple charger comes with it, so thats not as big as an issue.

Updated review: 3 months in and still LOVE it
This iPad is compatible with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) which I strongly preferred over all the other pencils, so it was important to me to find an iPad that was compatible with that particular pencil. That pencil will magnetically attach to the iPad and will charge from the iPad rather than having to connect a charger to the pencil, so I thought that was neat.I use this iPad mainly for digital art, note taking, and writing books. It gets used for a 3-6 hours everyday and I always leave it turned on 24/7 and I only end up having to charge it every 3-4 days. I take it everywhere with me because while it’s not very small, it’s still smaller than any laptop and will fit in a large purse or tote that I carry around daily lol. It’s great for graphic designers, digital artists, and/or students who need to take notes, study, do projects, or write papers (get a keyboard case for typing) and so much more.When drawing and making my digital art, the pencil glides across the screen so smoothly like an ink pen on paper, there is no LAG, no funky looking results or anything when drawing, everything comes out the exact same way that I draw it on the screen. And this is way better than buying a graphic tablet and having to hook it up to a laptop or PC. I haven’t had a laggy experience with doing anything on the iPad at all so far. Everything loads up and syncs up quite quickly I just love it soooo much. I got the wifi+cellular one but I don’t use the cellular connection, only the wifi connection. But I got cellular anyway in case I change my mind one day if I find that relying heavily on wifi everywhere I go, just to use my iPad, is no longer an option. But I probably won’t though since my phone has a hotspot and majority of the time I just connect it to that if I’m not at home to use wifi, still works like a charm.I am very pleased with my purchase and this was 100% worth the money. I do wish I had more storage though, I got the 256GB one but I wish they made this model with 1TB or 2TB storage.. But I’m not complaining because I haven’t nearly run out of storage or anything, I’m just afraid that I will create so many files or download so many apps that one day I MIGHT actually run 🏃♂️ out 😅 but that day is probably a long way away.

iPad Air is awesome!
I received this iPad Air as my Christmas gift and have been using it for about two weeks. First, this new version of iPad is very impressive and has many upgrades that my older iPad does not have. It has been awhile since I had a new iPad so this was new to me on how to transfer info from the old to the new. The transfer process was quick. I merely set the two devices side by side. Followed some prompts and the machines began to talk to each other and transfer info automatically. The iPad Air charges fast and the battery life is also great. My older iPad was constantly on charge but the new device holds its charge for a long time.Another item I love is having the ability to use a pen to write items on the iPad and to point to text, material or games quickly. It saves a lot of time and keeps notes, too. Sadly, the cover I purchased is larger and a bit heavier to carry since there is a space to hold the pen. While it protects the iPad it is bulky and does not fit in my carry case.There are some cons. I’m still learning other features and have not mastered the ability to delete prior viewed documents. Wish there was an online training manual I could read to show me all of the options that this new machine can complete. I also miss some of the features that my old ipad offered, such as the separate button found by itself on the side of the screen. I sometimes accidentally hit the online dash at bottom of screen to go back to the homepage. I am sure I will get used to all of the new features but I still find myself comparing the old to the new. Overall, this is a nice iPad Air and I love the color blue.

I purchased this to replace my iPad which was 10 years old. So much has changed, it was a steep learning curve for me, but there are lots of youtube tutorials, and when I learned a bit, it is much better than my old one. Excellent for travel and takes amazing picture. I love it.

I love this
I waited a long time to buy an iPad and wanted something compact and easy to transport. For my work, processing power is unnecessary though I prefer it. I was leaning towards the mini for its size but ended up settling on the iPad Air solely to have access to the Magic Keyboard. It truly changes the whole way I use my iPad. With the Magic Keyboard and M processor, the only thing stopping this from being a full blown laptop are the schackles that are the iPad OS.
