My son jokingly named it the MacTeenie. It works great. I advise you get one of the variants with more than 8gb RAM, because Windows 11 hogs quite a bit, and 8gb can be barely enough sometimes.

good little computer
I thought that I was taking a chance with this small computer with a Celeron processor. I was giving up my i5 tower. No regrets. Going from Win7 to Win11 was an extra bonus. Fan noise was not a problem compared to my other computer. I did expand external hdds and got a multi-port usb hub to make my setup complete.Even tho this is a Chinese product, I have gotten quick friendly support via email. I really could not ask for more especially for the price ( which is now less a year since I bought it.)

running frigate, and future robot brain
This device is of great value. You can do a lot with it. My cost was 149I replaced the wireless card with a coral tpu. There is only one pci lane there. So the dual TPU will see only one. Fine for my use case.Solid little machine. I plan on using it for robotics as well.

Good things come in small packages
Overall, this PC is excellent if you know what you’re buying.It’s not a powerhouse, but it’s not designed to be. With 12gb of ram Windows 11 is snappy and has no hiccups. The 4 cores are plenty for day to day tasks and, believe it or not, this thing can run World of Warcraft at a respectable 30fps at 1080p in Stormwind.Setup is dead simple, plug it in, sign in with your Microsoft account, and you’re on your way.This little machine is perfect for a media center pc hooked to a TV using Plex or Emby. Steam streaming and Xbox Cloud gaming work flawlessly.All things considered, it’s absolutely worth the price. This is not my first GMKTec machine and after dealing with their support in the past, take comfort that they stand behind their products and will take care of you if you have any issues.

Incredible Value, impressive performance, teensy size
I have never seen such a small computing device in my entire life. This thing is MICRO. I bought it to emulate N64 games on, for my girlfriend, with the added bonus she can play some old Sims games on it. I’m absolutely impressed by the performance of this budget processor. Beats out the old i7 3632QM I have in an older laptop, that I still find to be an absolutely usable for every dayodern tasks type of processor. This computer is more than adequate for every use case other than high-end current gaming, engineering/cad/cam, and video editing and other known intensive workloads. I bet you it could edit videos at a perfectly usable speed though – you’ll just definitely wish you had something faster haha. All in all though I’m highly impressed with this little machine, my girlfriend loves it and having a PC hooked up to her TV all the time for emulation is definitely a ton of fun. I’ve successfully emulated up to GameCube on it too. Definitely a big recommend. Keep finding myself trying to invent a use case for another one because I want one for myself now hahaha.

I had this mini PC for 8 months and the wireless is already dead on it. I will have to add an external wireless adapter to have it work as intended. It was working just fine as a PLEX server and then the wireless started to get spotty, and it finally died. Really frustrating.

Generous connections, small and fast
This is a great product specially for the price and the size. If you are looking for a daily office use, this mini desktop is the great choice. You can free some spaces and less cables if attached to back of your monitor. I am not a gamer, but it seems it is fast enough at least for some games. And it has very nice set of jacks. Honestly for the price, it should get five stars.

Great fort Home Assistant
I was able to successfully setup Home Assistant in a virtual box inside the windows of this box. Runs very smoothly. My only gripe would be that I can’t seem to get into the BIOS on bootup to set it up to wake on power on, for when there are outages.

Little pc great for Tvs, browsing web and light work.
The media could not be loaded.
Was better than what I expected cpu clocked around 3ghz and has 4 cores and 12 gb ram so those two are good. it’s really small but works very smoothly, i can imagine it could play some light games on it. I tried cs2 like shown in the video, it only got 8fps, csgo might have worked better. Going to take this when i go on trips, hotel rooms, and such and hooking up to a projector for meetings and more.iIt says not to use any other power source but my other usbc cable has worked for it.

Good value for general purpose computer or as Blue Iris server
I’m happy with this unit. I use it as a Blue Iris server with 5 H.264 cameras and it functions will with only about 5% CPU utilization. The N5105 CPU is the same speed as the N5095, but the N5105 has more graphics cores, make it more suitable for graphics processing…still not something you would use for intensive gaming. My major complaint is that the USB-C port is used only for power in. Though it is advertised to be PD compliant, the power supply that comes with it is a 12v, 3A power brick with a USB-C connector….even if you power this unit with a PD complaint USB-C hub, there is no data on the port. I would much rather see a working USB-C port, or at least a power connector that is the more traditional barrel connector to avoid possible issues (like using the power brick supplied to mistakenly plug into a real USB-C device and fry it).

GREAT LITTLE SILENT PARTNER
Bought this to replace my wife’s aging Intel NUC – great replacement – the NUC has a RX540, so it is def. faster there, but this little machine surpasses it in every other test – and most importantly, it is dead silent. The NUC has always been a little noisy and now is quite loud – especially next to the N100. Overall, a great little machine for the workspace environment.

Value for money is outstanding. And it is tiny!
I needed a small PC to run a specific Windows application. Not a high resource demanding application, so I picked the smallest PC with reasonable specs. I could not be happier for this money, it does all it needs to do, it is actually pretty fast, and it is tiny 🙂 .Can you game on it? No clue! I am not a gamer at all, and the few games I play run fine on a 90s spec PC…. Would it be ok for basic office / web surfing? I am confident it will be ok for that!

Great minature desktop P.C.
Package arrived by standard delivery within a few days. Item was nicely packaged, in custom-made box including the PC, power supply and HDMI cable. I bought the unit with 1 TB SSB and 16 Gb RAM. It was easy to set up (running under Windows 11 makes set-up a bit tedious, though not complicated), and it runs like oiled silk. So far it has run all the Windows 10 software and data I installed or copied from my old, tired Windows 10 desktop. What a pleasure to have the programs run the moment I hit – no waiting!So far I nothing but good to say about this diminutive little PC.

Small inexpensive home or office pc
I am very impressed with this GMKtec Mini PC! This box lets you inexpensively add full windows functionality to a TV or add another PC in the house. It could also work as an office PC. I’ve been using it as my main home PC since I got it about a week ago and it’s working great. I was concerned that I might need more than 12GB of memory, but it’s working fine with Windows Task Manager reporting around 9GB of memory in use and 18GB committed.I mainly use my PC for web browsing, email, and YouTube and can do these fine without any problems. I currently have over 10 browser windows open with many tabs open in each and can switch between windows and tabs quickly. I use a 4K TV as my main monitor, but I have some other HD monitors in my office and have been running this with 3 monitors. I didn’t think I needed 3 monitors at first, but it’s nice to have at least one additional monitor for email, so I’ll probably keep the 3-monitor setup. It’s crazy that this little box can support 3 4K monitors…I mainly watch YouTue videos which are usually HD but not 4K, so I can’t say much about using this in a home theater. It is fine for watching normal YouTube videos and the 4K video examples that I downloaded, even with many other windows open.The Mini PC was set up to sleep after 10 minutes and hibernate after 3 hours like a laptop. After it hibernates, you need to press the power button to turn it back on. I found this a bit annoying, although I understand that it is a good way to save some energy. You can turn off the hibernate option by setting the time to hibernate to 0 (meaning never) in the Windows Control Panel. (Not settings. Search for “Control Panel” in the start menu.) The option is in Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Sleep -> Hibernate after.

Works Great
This has been fun to play with. I have tried a few operating systems on it & found it to work well.It runs Windows 11 without issue so far. It was also easy to reflash the OS back to the factory image with the provided firmware. No issues with basic apps or YouTube. However, graphical tasks are difficult for it. It is not for gaming or video editing.I installed Libreelec, which works but the WiFi drivers are not correct. The BT does work. I looked for drivers but did not find the correct ones & the team is not interested in supporting the newer radios. This was a PIA to uninstall. I was not able to boot from a USB until I removed the drive & wiped the EFI partition with another computer. My first time using Diskpart in years. LOLI also installed Ubuntu Server 34.04 since I had the ISO. WiFi was working with the installed drivers but I believe the only option was 2.4 GHz. Bluetooth did not work but I do not know if Server has BT drivers included. You may be able to find them or they may be included in the desktop version.Some of the ISOs I tried did not install. I have not had the time to look into why but I believe it is the BIOS that is the issue.I do not have much free time but I plan to tinker some more with this. Maybe make a server with it. The average power consumption was about 6 watts. 12v@0.59w is what my meter stayed on most of the time & would climb up to just under a watt when it was under load. It will be more during startup but it even gets through that pretty fast.My only complaint is the integrated RAM. I’m sure I will upgrade the SSD & would have liked to have been able to add more RAM.

I’m impressed with the size, features, versatility and power. I haven’t got it totally set up yet, but will do so soon. So far, the start up things I’ve managed to get done has been seamless and trouble free. I will submit a revised update if possible when I’m set up for good.

Good deal on a Mini PC
Rated for 512gb but came with a 1 TB M2 drive. Fast processor and good video. Plenty of ports. Pre-installed Win 11 works well requiring very little customization. Adequate documentation came with it for getting into BIOS. Does NOT have CEC/Arc capability as do NUC’s at much higher cost for same specs.

Snappy little box very good price and quality.
I bought this to upgrade my office computer which I use on occasionally to do video editing. I first set it up in my living room to test streaming some 4k movies from Netflix and Amazon. I was very impressed my TV looked much brighter and more vibrant! For 2 years now I’ve been using GMK’s PC as my home TV. This newer model is so much better I have deiced to upgrade both.

So I tested out this pc. It will run office applications no problem and can be used for light gaming.Can run minecraft bedrock edition at 120fps with some options turned off.

I mostly use it for web browsing…Fast and smooth with windows 11 and M.2 SSD… I love the design of it and the packaging!If you’re looking for a PC, I highly recommend this one! NucBox5 Mini Computer Review
This review has been updated to include the G2. For some reason the Amazon review button brought me here instead of for creating a new review. The review for the G2 follows this one and is labeled as such far below.ORIGINAL REVIEW FOR THE Nucbox5:I got my first NucBox5 minicomputer a few months back and I was surprised at how well it worked. It does everything my big computer does and uses a LOT less power. I checked the power consumption and found that idle it uses about 7 watts and during heavier use around 15 watts. That’s pretty amazing considering it does everything my big computer can do. The customer service is excellent too, they sent me a part I needed free of charge. I thought that was pretty amazing. I also found that you can run this computer from a 12vdc cigar lighter plug with a PD compliant adapter. That means I can run this computer in my automobile as well as in the house. That’s a big plus I think. Since there are a lot of 12vdc monitors that means you can set up a computer in the car too. The PD compliant adapter should be 36 watts from one USB C port, but I found that a 30-watt adapter works too. It has to come from one USB C port though if you want to run it in the car. The included picture is a snapshot of the power measurement into the NucBox5 during an idle period using the 12vdc cigar lighter adapter. The power here is 5.28 watts. It goes up to a max of about 8 watts. Considering my big full-size computer takes about 80 watts, that’s a big difference. I got my second NucBox5 computer about two weeks ago. The total price for both NucBox5 computers was significantly less than what I paid for my full-size computer. In fact, one NucBox5 costs less than just the graphics card for the big computer. Very happy with these devices, and I prefer this solution over a laptop.REVIEW FOR THE G2 FOLLOWS, which is a different computer.Nucbox G2 ReviewThis review aims to provide an honest assessment of the Nucbox G2, highlighting its strengths without overhyping its capabilities. I wanted to make a fairly large review so I could better convey my feelings about this product because when I see a good product, I am happy to support it so other people can have a good experience as well.Overall Rating [5/5]: I’d buy another one or at least another computer of some type from GMKtec. They have many, and I have three from them now, which includes two Nucbox 5 computers.Generally speaking, the Nucbox G2 is a nice option for computing. The size is so small it’s hard to believe that it can do all that a full tower computer can do. I can fit at least 20 of these inside my full tower case if I wanted to, but I won’t be needing that big computer anymore. I find it hard to believe that this computer can perform at least as well as my 8-core AMD FX CPU full tower computer can. I must have invested well over $1000 USD in that big computer (I built it myself), yet the G2 was under $200 USD.First and foremost: Customer Service [5/5] GMKtec, the manufacturer of the Nucbox G2, is amazing with their responsive and helpful customer service. If you have any issues or inquiries, their support will always be there to help. I have rarely encountered this level of customer service. I have two GMKtec Nucbox 5 computers also, and they sent me a part for one free of charge that was not even part of the warranty. They also answered every question I had, and I had contacted them many times now with various questions via email. They get back to me pretty fast also, usually less than 12 hours. From what I can gather, their customer service model follows Amazon’s in that they put the customer first. This, I feel, is very important for any product.Performance [4/5] The Nucbox G2 is pretty amazing with its performance, given its small size and low power consumption. It handles everyday tasks with ease, making it very capable for general computing needs. I have not tried it for gaming, so I cannot say for sure how it performs in that category. For further information, look up the N100 CPU made by Intel and see what you can find out. It does perform very well for the usual tasks. I’ve given it 4 out of 5 stars here simply because I have not tried it for gaming yet. Some of my main uses are basic office stuff, although I do a lot of image processing, and that takes a lot of CPU power, yet it works at least as well as a big system with an 8 core AMD FX CPU. The speed of processing is a necessity for processing thousands and thousands of digital images of a wide range of sizes.Expandability [5/5] The ability to upgrade the SSD by snapping off the top cover is a great feature. This offers a degree of expandability that’s hard to find in any device. It’s a welcome feature for me because I am often looking for ways to upgrade the storage capacity, usually with a larger drive. You can, however, get these with up to 1TB installed though.Ease of Setup [5/5] Setting up the Nucbox G2 is straightforward, taking less than 10 minutes. Whether you’re used to this or not, the setup process is very user friendly. I was surprised by how fast this went. Answer a couple of questions, and it finishes. Activation is automatic.To sum up: The Nucbox G2 is a compact computing solution that performs very well in various scenarios. Its compact design and low power consumption make it really nice for those with little space or those who want to reduce energy bills. It handles everyday tasks and even intensive CPU tasks without any trouble. Its simple expandability and really good customer support make it decent to own.

The GMK Tec NucBox G3 is a great little Mini PC!It’s packaged nicely, and setting it up was a breeze. It’s preloaded with Windows 11, and took just a short amount of time to set up. Some necessary updates took a little longer to download and install, but for most of that time it’s possible to work on other things with the Mini PC, so it wasn’t a big deal at all.This NucBox G3 has a good amount of RAM and Hard Drive Storage, especially for such a little machine. 16 GB of RAM is enough for these use cases, which are running Office Programs, Web Browsing, and playing YouTube Videos, etc. And the 1 TB Hard Drive should be more than enough storage.The system manages resources well for the above tasks, and everything runs smoothly. This is my first time using Windows 11, and it seems good so far. Sometimes Microsoft has to work out the kinks with every other OS release, but hopefully at this point they’ve gotten the bugs out of Windows 11.Regarding the hardware, the NucBox G3 is small and unobtrusive, but still manages to have a solid amount of connectivity. There are 2 USB Ports on the front, and 2 on the back, and one could always expand with a USB Hub. 2 HDMI Ports are nice in case a dual-monitor setup is needed, and both Video and Audio via HDMI work flawlessly. Also included are a Security Lock, an Ethernet Port, and a 3.5mm Audio Jack. The internal Wi-Fi 6 Card performs well, and there’s also Bluetooth 5.2 internally.I’m going to keep Windows 11, but if you prefer Linux, that would be an option.All in all, I’m stoked about the NucBox G3 Mini PC. It’s great for what we’re using it for, and is a really good value to boot! I definitely recommend the NucBox G3 from GMK Tec!

an amazing buy, but manage expectations
This little computer works well right out of the box. Don’t expect amazing performance. It’s essentially a Celeron, so it’s going to be slower than an i5 or an i7. But it’s a modern CPU with a decent amount of RAM and a workable amount of disk space. It’s small, quiet, and gets the job done.I use it for browsing (with around 40 tabs open in Chrome), some remote access of both Windows and Linux boxes and I am running pi-hole on it in Docker. I sometimes fire up Bluestacks on it because I have some applications I run on that platform (not games).It performs well, if not blazingly fast. I have no complaints.For the price, it’s terrific. I am considering a second one as an emergency backup computer, and now that I’ve seen this and know that it has some big brothers, my desktop is seeing the writing on the wall.

Small, powerful and priced right
Basically, I tried to do everything I could to test this unit and see if it stumbled in any way. I have not been able to make it stumble so I am very pleased with this purchase. I love the small size and because of it I may just keep components in several places and just transport the small box as my portable computer. It has plenty of power for the type of work I do, which is normal homeowner type of uses. It has all the ports I could use or anticipate needing. It has a DP Port (Display Port) which is used to string multiple monitors together. I haven’t considered this in the past, but may in the future and it will be nice to have the option with this machine. Some of the USB ports I’m using could be freed up by using Bluetooth components.I would recommend this computer for people looking for an alternative to laptops or towers and the price is right considering what you get. It also appears to me that upgrading to larger RAM and Storage may not be necessary as the cloud appears to be taking over. I upgraded my other mini to larger RAM and a 1 terabit drive. But after using this unit I’m not sure it is necessary. All in all I can’t say anything negative about the unit. I’m very pleased!Keep reading for additional detailed description.This is my second minicomputer from GMKtec. I purchased one about 1 year ago. It worked well but the SSD crashed. The company worked with me, and I was able to replace the SSD, and rebuild the software and it has been working ever since. So, they have been responsive and stand behind their products.I had a need for a second computer so spotted this and decided to give it a chance. The unit came nicely packaged and intact. All the items listed were in the package as advertised. The difference with the minicomputer is that all the peripherals are not included. I have many of the peripherals so it is not an issue for me but be aware that if you don’t you need a monitor (I’m using a small TV I had), a keyboard (I bought a $13 USB one) and a mouse (I already had one).After acquiring the components, you literally just plug the components in and turn it on. The first thing you notice is how fast the screen comes up. Remember when you would turn your computer on then go get some coffee and hope it was up and running? Not so here it is a fast boot up.It went through some introductory screens and askes you some questions. The only one that gave me hesitation was the password one. It turns out this is to log into the computer every time you turn it on. So, make that a simple one to remember. I didn’t but went in to change it later.It comes loaded with Microsoft Windows 11After that I started downloading software and Apps, all the ones that I use. I had no difficulty or problems with any of them. I connected it wirelessly through my home router with no difficulty. It comes with the latest wifi-6. I’m connected with 2.4 GHz channel and get 55 Mbps download and 33.42 Mbps upload. I know this depends on your systems but shows that there is plenty of speed.The minicomputer unit is 1.5 inches high and 3 3/8 inches square (see picture). Plenty of USB ports and if necessary, you can put a USB expander in one port. I used the headphones jack to listen to some music and connected my Bluetooth ear buds also both worked with a hitch and there is no lag or distortion. The package also comes with an angle support so you can hang it on the back of the monitor. This cleans up the area and make the monitor appear to be an all in one.I loaded Microsoft 365, a mechanical drawing program, iTunes and quicken and used them thinking that they may put the unit to a test for speed and any potential problems. There were none and it performed flawlessly.I have some “sleep” issues with the other unit, but this unit goes to sleep and wakes up with no issues even if left for a long period and with the monitor disconnected.Another improvement I noticed was that they have changed the way they screw the cover on. On my previous unit you had to remove the rubber feet to access the screws, and this will eventually cause problems with them coming off. This newer unit has the screws accessible trough the feet. This is much better for those looking to do any upgrading.

Nice buy. Tiny but powerful
It was delivered a day earlier than projected. I had no problem hooking it up and using it. This is a nice change of pace from the last 2 mini pcs of a competitor I ordered and had to return due to issues. This little guy has some punch as well. We were looking for a MINI PC to replace our older office PC. This looks to do the job fine. Now it isn’t going to set the world on fire gaming-wise.. But we do not game much; so it’s perfect.I love the space reclaimed on my desk as well.

Small, Compact, Easy Set Up!

I was looking for a mini PC to be able to travel along with me and this seems to fit the bill. It is sleek and compact, with the option for blue or black faceplates, depending on your mood or preference. I was able to get set up and running in 10-15 minutes. Whenever I run the PC, it is really quiet, which I like. Very lightweight, but the build seems sturdy enough. I was able to get it with an Amazon coupon which just made the deal even sweeter. The casing looks nice as well, so that’s a plus. Paired with my monitor I normally use with my camera and a mini keyboard, this is just what I needed. Boot up time is really quick as well, although if you bog it down with additional software, that might change for you. My intent is for minor photo editing and video editing software to be installed, but mostly for using the Internet since mobile Internet seems to still be lacking on the sites I need.

Exceptional machine for the price
I purchased the 16GB RAM/1TB SSDD N100 version. OMG, it’s a beast of a box for its price. I am only using one of its HDMI outputs, and am not running any graphics-intensive applications. But I *am* stressing the CPU and the USB connections vigorously. The CPU does a great job throttling its clock speed in the face of my processing onslaught, and never seems overwhelmed by what I’m doing to it. I would classify this N100 machine as equal to or better than many laptops. It’s likely not a “gaming PC” type device, but I would definitely rank it as holding its own against an upper-tier “business laptop”, as far as CPU processing speed is concerned. I am really pleased with this unit, and will buy more. (My use case is Software Defined Radio processing at 20 million samples-per-second (Msps) with spectrum and waterfall displays of all RF being processed.) LOVE THIS BOX!

Works great for my sublimation printer computer
Review of GMKtec Desktop Mini PC • Intel N100 Windows 11 Pro • 12GB DDR5 • 256GB SSD • Dual LANThe computer I was using in my studio to do sublimation printing failed. I bought this as a replacement. I had another of these small computers that I was pleased with for my home office computer, this one had slightly better specs, so I gave this one a try.The video quality is good, the print speed has improved over the old computer and it starts super quick. The SSD size is a bit small at 256gb, but all I have on the computer is the sublimation printing files and programs needed to do the tasks, so there is plenty of space. Very pleased so far.

Tiny, fast, cool
I needed another small computer for a corner computer desk where size and noise are big issues. but wasn’t sure whether there Celeron 5105 would actually perform adequately. I was very surprised and amazed. When I first took it out of the all I could say was”you got to be kidding!” An entire desktop computer that you could cover with your hand. Unbelievable! I know intel has gotten advanced in the ability to put a lot of functions into just a few chips. But this is a bit mind-blowing. This little guy is for some simple tasks. Email, browser, spreadsheets, and word processing. With 8 gigs of memory and just 128 gigs of storage it has enough to do it’s jobs. As far as performance, it is as fast as most my of older 3rd and 4th gen i5 machines. Boots up fast. Everything it needs to do it does great. It just gets lost under desk stuff. It’s TINY!!

No HDMI Audio
Pointless to have hdmi without audio. Tried it on several different TVs. No sound. Have to connect it separately to the headphone jack on the side of it. Really inconvenient.

this little thing realy rocks. i turned it on it came right up and started to install windows.after installing i watched a movie with no problms.the only thing is it says its 4k and my projectorsupports 4k but this seem to run at (1920×1080) the highest it will go under display settings. (hdr)works well.so i think this pc gets some high marks on everything but the 4k. seems to also run niceand cool as well. with the movie playing it was under (40c). if i can only get the 4k fixed. this would begreat.
