Poor Refurbishment
Poor refurbishment. I like the product overall, it is a bummer because the keyboard needs to be charged to connect via BlueTooth. As far as refurbishment goes, the coating of the back of the tablet has started to bubble and flake off.

The product arrived on time and was well packaged in its original packing. We were unable to set up the tablet for our use so we cannot rate the features.

Not pleased with the Candaian hardware.
I like a lot about this tablet. It’s my first one, so i am getting used to it. However the ‘hardware’–namely the plug in for the power supply is US/Canadian. It is configured in a way that no adapter will help and i can’t get any info straight from microsoft. YUCK.

Was expecting better
I bought this so I could take notes on Onenote for my college lectures, something for just note taking on a stylus and lightweight. Thank god this was on sale when I bought it, because IMO I don’t think its that worth. Its very light weight but it overheats quickly, the touch screen leaves much to be desired, even with a stylus and stylus glove sometimes the tablet would close out of my programs while in the middle of taking notes or have screen tears momentarily. Not only does this happen quite frequently but sometimes when using the stylus the screen would glitch and leave a pen mark from the stylus on the screen even when in lock screen (ex. when I used a green pen in Onenote with the stylus some green pixels would remain on the screen even when Onenote was closed and even appeared on the tablets lockscreen). To be honest I’m disappointed and tired of this thing but its the only thing I can use and I can’t return it. If your looking for a tablet for taking notes via stylus I would get something else. Huge waste of money.

Janky Apps and Janky Charger
I live in the US and can’t for the life of me understand why I’d get a European charger with an adapter, makes no sense.Received today and took it for a quick test drive. So far I’m pretty appalled by the amount of bloatware and the difficulty it’s taking to remove it.Still can’t get signed in to Microsoft Teams as the device keeps telling me to log out and back in again…why???Internet Explorer was installed by default, huh, is that even a thing now.Overall I’m pretty shocked with how bad the user experience is.

Love it
Have a 7 year old Surface pro which still works well but going to Europe for a month and a little nervous about taking the old one………so took the plunge and got a new one…….so light and portable…Love the touch screen….keyboard is backlit!!! And the Amazon price was more than fair…… Very happy. NOTE: not happy with how Microsoft wants so take over my computer and run my life. What a struggle to put in my chrome but a friend helped win the fight. Just saying…

Battery is poor vs Mac iPad
it is nice, especially with the kick stand, however the performance is really slow by the default battery saving, if you switch up for full performance, it is much faster, but battery could last for only 3-4 hours. comparing to iPad, surface still lack of optimization of performance and battery power.

great for casual users
bought this computer for the wife and she loves it. She loves the sleek design and portability. She’s not really a technology person so this is perfect. You got to buy the keyboard and pen separately, but the design and screen resolution is great. Resembles my surface pro but a lot sleeker.

Good!
The surface go 2 is really good with the keyboard. The battery life is amazing, it’s lasts almost 6-8 hours while watching YouTube or writing up my book. It can handle games, I can even run Minecraft Java edition in here with decent graphics.

Stopped working after a month and NO support from seller
If I could give ZERO stars I would! I have a Surface and purchased this one for my husband. It stopped working after only a month. It will not charge and now it will not even turn on at all! I have purchased two different charging cables form Best Buy and none of them worked. Best Buy told me it would cost a lot more to try and fix it then what I paid for it. The seller told me to contact Microsoft an Microsoft told me to contact the seller. Now I have a computer that is useless.

Not a tablet, not a PC
This thing is worthless. Don’t waste your money. Can’t download apps because it’s not a tablet. Can’t do things that you would normally do on a PC because it isn’t that either. Only will run Microsoft related tools. What a waste.

Great tablet for everyday use
If you’re a tablet person and prefer Windows then get one of these.Whether it’s work or just Netflix it’s cover your needs. If you need to travel I recommend getting a sleeve that’s a little bigger, then you can fit some accessories like a mouse in the sleeve as well.

Good tablet alternative
MS Surface Go’s are reasonably priced and as full featured as a laptop. This one came with Window’s 10 and upgraded during the update process to Window’s 11. I thing the W11 runs a tad slower, I have an older Surface Go that cant be updated yet and it seems slightly faster, not a big deal however. I am not a big fan of android tablets since pretty much anything you do on them is tracked a dozen different ways. On the other hand, a Windows device I have some control of and can add VPN’s, anti-tracking items and then configure the browsers more effectively. I recommend the Surface Go.

$399 Entry Level Worth It!!
So I primarily wanted this for my photography. Something I could show my photos on to my clients without having to take around a big laptop. This this the trick and more!!First the build quality is very nice. It has a metal cast matte feel to it. Feels very sturdy yet so light weight. The screen is nice and bright and is very clear. This just feels like quality.A lot of reviewers want you to stray from buying the entry level model because it’s “super slow and sluggish and not worth the money” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The fact is, this little machine can multitask very well. I even had a long list of updates to the apps that are already installed and it updated each in minutes and updated maybe 3 or 4 at a time. Done super fast. The browser is smooth and works just fine. It does have a very minor stutter when you load the web page but nothing to get into a fit over. I even tried playing YouTube videos and they work just fine. I pushed it to do 4K and it played very smooth with no stutter or lag. Your internet connection will play a factor but if you’ve got that good connection then you should have no problem at all. I also have my phone connected to windows and it works great. I can keep focus on my work without having to look at my phone when I can just reply on the tablet itself with no issues. The only downside is, unless you really don’t mind using it just as a tablet, I highly recommend getting a mouse and keyboard for it. At the very least a keyboard with track pad. Its very bad choice that Microsoft chose to leave these necessities out of the package. I highly recommend looking at less expensive alternatives to the Microsoft type cover and mouse. I have a $12 Bluetooth mouse and $30 keyboard that works just as well as the type cover. Both these devices have great connections and response times. These 2 devices are key for using this 2 in 1 to its potential. Specially if you’re working from home or have some work to do.All in all, this is a great 2 in 1 for the price. At $399 I highly recommend this for anyone looking to do some simple work from home such as video calls, Office projects, or even watch movies and videos or just check social media and have something to take on the go. Works like a charm.Fun side story, when I first got this, I was setting up the tablet. My 1 year old was getting curious and playing with all the accessories that I got. I put the tablet down and was moving the stuff. She grabbed my phone and threw it towards the tablet. The corner of my phone smashed into the screen. Not even an hour of owning it and its getting stuff thrown into it. Tablet was fine, glass screen protector never cracked, and phone was ok. Talk about build quality. Lol

“Our expectations for you were low but holy —-”
SO. TLDR: It can’t even run Paint comfortably.I bought this for myself exclusively to make art in Microsoft Paint during the slow periods at work. Given what I intended to use it for, I didn’t think I needed good specs. It’s Microsoft Paint, right? It’s a robust little program in Windows 11 for what it is, but it’s not like it’s all that resource-intensive….So anyway, Paint lags on this thing with images that are even slightly middle-high resolution. And it’s unstable. And I can very consistently crash it by resizing an image/selection via the resize menu more than once. And it’s not like there’s other stuff bogging the system down or anything. This is a fresh system. The only things I’ve installed are a bunch of official Windows updates + the Windows 11 upgrade (haven’t even grabbed Chrome yet), and the only files I’ve added to its storage are images — some doodles from Paint and some photos from the device’s camera.I know this device is lightweight, but, like… *it’s MS Paint.* It’s not like I’m trying to run a game or stream a movie, I’m just trying to drag a 450×650 selection across an image. And it’s lagging to the point that the program is stuttering or flat-out freezing for several seconds at a time. Like, “I’m using Paint, not PowerPoint” levels of stuttering. So definitely don’t underestimate the reviews when people say it’s “a little slow” — the lack of processing power is hard to ignore.I would be returning this and seeking a refund if I didn’t trash the packaging without thinking. It’s not the desirable option I took it for, not in the slightest.UPDATE: Changing this to one star as I’ve realized the situation is much, much worse than I’d first realized.Scrolling or zooming — whether by the scoll bar, trackpad, or on-screen buttons — causes the device to rapidly input at two points on the image. I do not know why this is the case, and it seems to have varying effects depending on the tool equipped. This ranges from “Selection tool > selects part of the image/moves the selection” to “eraser – erases a streak and the erase can’t be undone without undoing your previous ‘real’ input” to “Airbrush.”I need to talk about the Airbrush.I do not know what is causing it right now, but I can’t select the Airbrush tool on this current project because it will somehow create two separate orbs of paint, simultaneously, without me even touching the screen. I have absolutely no clue what would even be causing something like this and the fact that it’s doing this is, frankly, appalling. It nearly wrecked my current project because I didn’t realize it was happening at first. So, to reiterate: THIS IS NOT A DEVICE FOR ART. Please save your money and don’t buy this for att unless you want to know what near-constant loss of productivity feels like.

Comes uncharged, bad battery life
I was pretty upset to find the Go2 was completely dead when I got it therefore I wasn’t able to turn it on at all to see if it works I had charge it to see if it even works I’ve never gotten a laptop nor tablet that’s completely dead when it’s received there usually completely charged so it makes me think this was not a new item it was renewed therefore the description is a lie I just hope as soon as it is charged it works like it says it does and all the other descriptions are not a lie too. Read the pictures very carefully this does not come w anything but the tablet no keyboard no mouse no pen. You have to buy them all separate if I’d read the pictures more carefully and I didn’t need the item so soon I wouldn’t have paid this much for this item because now I’m starting to hear that this items keyboard doesn’t connect well if you buy one for it after it’s charged up and my son gets to play w it ill give more description of how well this things works but I’m already somewhat nervous that this will be another return like the MacBook I bought from Amazon that overheated after one day of use and not constant use the air conditioner in it was broken so be very careful what you choose this person’s ratings weren’t too bad so I was ok w buying this to try them out but if it’s a renewed and i will be able to tell ill be sending this one back and going to am actual store like I had to after the MacBook. Stay tuned for more info….ok we got it charged and got it started for one battery life is SUPER LOW my son was on it maybe 3 hrs and it went down very fast and he was playing roblox and he makes his own games in his studio but the thing is how is he supposed to get any use out of a laptop w 3 hrs of battery life how is anyone getting any use out of that I’m guessing that’s to protect the air conditioner in it keep it from getting so hot and yes I can agree w that to an extent however next time we charge it full level im timing my son on it and if it goes back to 3 hrs I’m returning it im not paying almost 500 bucks for a computer that has a 3 hr battery life on battery saving mode. Ppl are saying 6 to 8 hrs lol I’d love that much time but we didn’t even get a quarter of that. So microsoft get ready to return my cash cause I’m betting it’s gonna time at 3 hrs again I knew I should’ve bought something else!

Gateway Surface
This Surface is kind of like a gateway to a more powerful Surface. I love the size and materials seem premium. I’m still learning to use the Surface but it seems intuitive. I wish it was a bit quicker but then maybe I should have gotten a PRO version. The simple fact is for the money this is an excellent tablet/laptop. In fact it is way nicer than those cheapo android tablets.

Not a gaming device.
I saw this item advertised elsewhere as a “gaming device” and excellent for playing app games. But not the apps I that wanted to play actually. Microsoft app store has limited items at best and very little of those available through other app stores. Google Play store is not available on the device and attempts to use any emulators in order to acquire Android games from Google Play store are just a waste of effort if your desired app happens to use a lot of graphics. The device supposedly has X-Box compatibility but I wasn’t interested in any of that. If I had wanted a console player then I’d have bought one of those instead of wasting my money on this thing. For me the appeal was the ability to play app games on it. If I had only known that it will only play apps from Microsoft’s miniscule assortment I would have bought a Fire 10 instead and retrofitted Google to it. They actually work very well for gaming if you want to use Amazon’s or Google’s app stores with no problems or lag.As for whatever else this thing can do I’m not sure. It seems slow and every time I turn it on there is an update that doesn’t seem to improve its browsing speed or its capabilities.

Excellent for casual use.
Paired with the official keyboard, this is an excellent laptop replacement. If you need a capable tablet that you can easily move files on and off of without having to deal with the problems of a “device OS” like Android or iOS, this is worth looking at. You’ll find this perfectly useful for light browsing, media streaming, or for use as a reader device. If you feel like you need something that can do intense multi-tab browsing on media-rich sites, video/photo editing, or drawing, you might want to check out the higher spec model of the Go 2, or even the higher models.

Used, defective item sent instead of new. Returned immediately. Still no refund 3 weeks later.
They sent me a used, defective item sent instead of new. When I received the device, it was already set up with two separate user profiles. I obviously didn’t have passwords, so a factory reset was the only way to set up the device, which I discovered is a nontrivial effort. So I let the device charge overnight, then set about doing the factory reset the next day. Halfway through the process, the magnetic power cord pulled out of the device and I lost my work because the device hadn’t been charging. The item had apparently been returned because it was defective and they didn’t bother testing it or doing a factory reset before shipping it back out as new. Returned immediately but still no refund 3 weeks later.

don’t buy it: the slowest Windows computer ever.
The Surface is a fairly fully functional Windows 10 system. However, it is stunningly slow. You can’t even watch videos over WiFi.You think the system is hung but not, it is only creakily think about possibly opening an app or a window. The most recent Windows updates have took about 7 hours. It feels like a brick.Oh and by the way, the day we received it and set it up, Microsoft said it was out of warranty with a expiration date of five months ago. Finally, I ran a speed test to try to figure out why watching videos was so terrible. It turns out the WiFi speed is only a quarter of what it should be (126Mbps actual vs 479Mbps for other devices)

Full desktop experience
Good Ram, basically a 2k display the screen size is good at 10.5, like an IPad. Love the fact you can add more storage using sd card just popped a 516 gb. Windows 10 pro (on my tablet at least) and after a few updates got the windows 11 update. Look it’s a tablet with a desktop experience. With a usb c hub you can add monitors etc. Remote play it’s crazy. Speakers not so good but not a deal breaker to me since I got very good headphones and Bluetooth speakers. What else? The touchscreen is really good and you can get very good accessories that won’t leave you bankrupt like stylus and folding keyboard. Hope this helps.

Item SOLD as NEW —- was not- Buyer BEWARE, may track you
Microsoft themselves said the Surface go 2 was signed into last Nov 2022 so warranty almost up, also, do read the license agreeing, it sounds fishy, it talks about remote viewing every 90 days !?!? And it wouldn’t let me sign in with my established Microsoft email, they wanted me to make a new email ( why? For Tracking? ) Buyer BEWARE

Terrible device
I’ve been using an Android device for quite some time now. I decided to upgrade to something a little bit more serious so I wanted something with Windows on it. However I do not believe this is the device for me. The apps on it are inferior to the Android apps. The touch screen is at various times unresponsible to my fingers. And the whole thing heats up like a toaster just with regular use. Not to mention to charge you got to carry this bulky adapter thing around. I was told you can charge it with USB type-c but this is not the case it does not charge with a regular USB type-c. All around this product is garbage and I was hoping that it being from a company like Microsoft it would have some sort of quality to it but almost every Android device Ive ever had can beat this thing easily in every category. Honestly this product is garbage.

It is good for the price
It functions good enough for making notes for school. Only problem is the battery is not good only last about 6hrs and that’s using battery saving which basically slows down the device CPU and makes things slower. I even notice at max performance it has some lags now and then in terms of opening and closing apps, windows, or even keyboard launching. If you need a cheap tablet to make notes then this is perfect but If I was you I would save for a stronger version.

The info is misleading, and they charge a hefty re-stocking fee…watch out!
The computer doesn’t come with any of the other devices that are pictured in the photo–there’s no pen, nor even the keyboard. It’s just a low-end version of an Ipad, without the stuff you see in the photo. And so we returned it, only to discover that they’ve charged us a $41 “restocking fee.” Yes, we should have scrolled all the way down to the bottom to see what is actually delivered, but silly us, we thought the photo was displaying the item we wanted to order. How naive of us. Buyer beware.

Not what I hoped for…
I wanted to like this tablet. Very disappointing. The build quality and display are fine. Setting fonts to be readable proved impossible. The menu bars in applications were in tiny fonts – hard to read and impossible to click accurately with the touch screen. I use Windows 10 on my PC and it’s great. iOS on my iPad – also great. This tablet was unusable for me, so I am returning it. The memory was also over half used once I downloaded the Office apps.

Can be sluggish, so don’t expect to multi task much
I got it for my kids to use for school and drawing. The white board feature works well with a pressure sensitive stylus/pen. My daughter uses it excessively during math to take notes and do HW. They’ve had no gripes about using it for drawing, and they are rather finicky.

Be careful!
Amazing product…for 3 days. I bought this product hoping to use it for school and work, I even went so far as subscribing for office 365 which will now be taken as a loss. I set up folders and etc for each class. Last night it updated by itself as most electronics do, after the update my wifi settings disappeared and did not come back so I had no access to WiFi or any other internet related data/information. I tried trouble shooting and it came back stating something about the wifi adapter hardware, so I restarted it in hopes that would fix it…that didn’t work so I reached out to microsoft, they were helpful and tried hard but in the end we decided to do a hard reset/reformat it…here’s where it goes bad. After the reset I was attempting to register everything and put my info in and it wouldn’t let me without connecting to wifi…lol well wifi settings don’t show and no networks showed so I couldn’t continue…so basically it became useless after the update so I returned it for my money back and will not be buying another tablet from Microsoft. It’s unfortunate as I spent a lot of money on it, as well as getting a case, pen, office 365, and keyboard which I had to return as well.TLDR: The microsoft updated deleted the wifi adapter and ruined the tablet, had to return it.

Great device for casual tasks
Coming from using apple products from day one. I couldn’t be more impressed this this device so far. I haven’t ran into any issues currently. I obviously wouldn’t recommend it to people that want to use it for super high performance tasks or use it for a long time doing them as the battery life is on the low end. But all in all I would recommend it to anyone that needs a device like this for casual tasks.

Microsoft Setup
Got going with setting up account and Microsoft simply would not accept my DOB. I tried several times and finally gave up. All the Microsoft products I’ve ever used were difficult to set up.I will return the unit to Amazon despite the fact I loved the size and weight.Even though I provided my actual Date of Birth Microsoft refused it and would not go further with the setup.
