Great pair for experienced birders, great clarity, easy to focus, a bit heavy for shaky hands but has an adaptor for a tripod. Great price .

Spoiled by Swarovski
I have a Vortex binocular that I paid ‘good money’ for about 18 years ago. Loved em’. Up until I splurged on a Swarovski 8×56. This time I was wanting more power but still couldn’t swallow Swaroski’s price for a 15×56. I love the Vortex warranty, of course. So I got Vortex 15×56. Terrible, (again, that’s after Swarovski). And I also got a Vortex Kiabab 18×56 to give that a chance to save me some money. My 8×56 Swarovski’s show Vortex to be inferior to a large degree; not minor.Had I never gotten the taste of the Swarovskis these would be fine, I guess, maybe.. They’re tiring to use, and I don’t mean the weight. But I did get that taste and I finally bought the Swarovski 15×56. Oh man. Oh man. I know I know. That’s a lot of money to justify, unless one really wants the best binoculars. I was kinda shocked at the difference in clarity and *everything*.So I just pass this along to anyone wanting really good binoculars; I’d say the best but what do I know.I’ve progressed to night sky glassing and so wanted at least 15X56, I’m not interested in telescopes at this point. And of course one has to use a tripod for this power for truest clarity.

I’m keeping these
These are nice binoculars. The build quality. The view. More than I expected for the price. I bought Alpha level glass first and am working my way down. Better than expected. After using them for a week, compared them to Swarovski 15×56.Yes, the Swarovski are brighter, show more contrast, resolve better. They are built better and the experience of using them is second to none.I was glad to see that because they cost me 6x as much as the Vortex. It is a big jump in price for the extra 10% or more of better view. The chromatic aberration was visible in the Vortex watching a runner on a ridgeline 1 mile from me.The day was overcast. If my viewing was primarily on overcast days, that might be a problem.

Best value for the money ever!
Let’s be clear and straight up front…..the Vortex HD Diamondback binos are NOT Zeiss or Swarovski quality glass. The Diamondback is great but not the best. I bought my 15x56s because I needed a tripod purpose bino that was going to let me see and confidently call impacts on steel at PRS matches…..out to 1000yds+. And, most importantly, fit my budget. The Diamondbacks achieve this purpose admirably. Yes….I’ve looked through Swarovski glass and it is clearer, crisper and more defined and there’s no ‘dark outer edge’ way out there, but Vortex has come to the optical table with unbeatable value. And don’t forget too….a no questions asked lifetime warranty come with any Vortex product.

Great value
These were great during the day light hours these are very comparable to more expensive brands in a side by side comparison. During low light hours there was some noticeable differences in a side by side comparison. But I definitely recommend these… they get you in the game for a very good price and are a must if you are a hunter

Absolutely Love!
I absolutely love these binos can’t beat the quality for the price! Great in low light and shade glasses up lots of Coues on my hunt. The Bono case is comfy even for girls and have the tripod mount on at all times for a quick set up in the field! Highly recommended 💕 I plan on buying the 10’s as well.

Good binoculars for the price!
For the last performance of a Vortex Razor or Swavorski binoculars. If you can afford higher price binoculars, buy them. There is a reason high end binoculars cost more. They have better glass and coatings and edge to edge clarity.

I can see a difference between hd tv,s but looking thru these I don’t see much difference than my 12 x50 Diamondbacks I have but then again I am looking threw 64 year old eye’s I would sugest if you want new bino’s go to a store and look thru them, They are clear and sharp, and crisp but so are the other Vortex bino’s I have.

Boyfriend likes them.
Bought them to replace a pair that were not as strong lens wise as these. He’s impressed by how crisp and clear the images are. Comes in a nice case and will hopefully help him get that big buck in our freezer this fall.

Solid budget Binos
I liked these much more then i expected to as i usually run a higher level of optics. These had good edge to edge clearity and easy to focus the 15×56 i went with perform better at distance on window mounts or tripod, but for closer distances the handle very well off hand.

Great Value!!
I’m really happy with the vortex 15×56 diamondback HD binoculars. I highly recommend them. They are very powerful. I will say that if your thinking of purchasing these you will need or want to use a tripod. I found that there a little hard to focus without the stability of a tripod. Great Price!! I’ve got several different pairs of binoculars and in my opinion vortex makes the best product!!

Good option for distance birding
They largely do what I was hoping, for now, not getting a scope. The objective lens is so big they almost get narrow enough for my wife. Useable, but not perfect. You then have to widen to make room for objective caps to fit.

Quality at a fair price for a tripod binos.
Great size for long distance while in a tripod. The size is what’s expected for that much magnification. A little in the heavy side but actually should help in windy days. You don’t want that much magnification in a light weight unit in a shaky tripod. It came with chest harness, straps and tripod adapter.

Disappointed
I purchased these to replace a twenty-five year old pair of Nikons. I figured that in the last twenty-five years maybe technology has improved. My old Nikons are every bit as clear and crisp as these Vortex. I’ve had the pleasure to look through a pair of Zeiss conquest. Sadly I think to get really good clarity, you need to spend $1000.

Vortex Diamondback 15×56’s big clear image !
Vortex Diamondback 15×56’s gives you that big clear image that I wanted.Smaller much more expensive binoculars will never do that. These are light weight due to the magnesium frames. They are compact enough too.So this was the Best Buy out there.

Big improvement
My Celestron 12×56 and Nikon 10×56 are really good, but these 15×56 are even better. Should be a big help to ID those distant birds. These have a narrower field of view and are not as bright as my other Binoculars, but they do have more magnification and the image quality is the best of any of my other Binoculars. Comes with tripod mount, a neoprene neckstrap, and nice chest pack.

Was expecting more
I thought vortex was made in the United States their Chinese made. The dials are very hard to turn they don’t work smoothly for $400 I expected a lot more. Viper is supposed to be the top notch. I was going to purchase Nikon they are Japanese made not made in China. But you got to spend like 600 bucks for a good pair. Even viper is made in China if you can’t get american-made at least Japan makes high-quality merchandise. I do not recommend vortex they’re okay a lot for the money but I do not like Chinese merchandise if I can buy better

15x56mm Vortex Diamondback Binos
I own a 12×50 Diamondback bino, but needed a little more magnification to see/judge antlers out to 1000 yards! So bought these 12x56mm objective lensed binos. One for the cost vs quality of build. They do the job well enough for my 62 year old eyes. Are they Ziess or Swarovski, no, but I didn’t pay $1200-$3000 either. They’re slightly heavy, but braced against anything they work well. If you have a window tripod mount, or tripod using an Arca Swiss mount mount fairly stable. Do not get the Vortex Sport 2 piece mount! Too loose and unsteady for binos. Get the single 1 piece adapter, which comes with binoculars. The bino pack that comes with binoculars is fine for binos only. I prefer the Alaskan Guide Creations bino setup for carrying a rangefinder, and is made of quieter material for stalking.

It’s ok. Perhaps just right.
Good, not great. Some chroma during the day with bright sunlight. But, form factor of a slightly bulkier 12×40. Good magnification.Still have to try these out at night.Good light grabbing. Nice complement to the 8×40 and 12×40 (both Nikon Monarch)Some nice accessories, bag, straps, and clamp to mount on a simple tripod.Don’t feel like I have to baby these binos.
